Hasbro posts pictures of the Deluxe Generations figures to Facebook

Hasbro has posted pictures of the new deluxe Generations figures to their Facebook page. The pictures show both the robot and vehicle modes and also includes the combined form of Bruticus.

Transformers Club Exclusives are shipping

The Transformers Club hasn't been associated with good news recently, but they sent this e-mail to members last night that's bound to make some fans happy:

Just a note to let you know that the club exclusives came in ahead of schedule and we have started shipping orders. It will take about two weeks for us to get all the orders out so don't worry if you have not received a shipping email notice.
In addition, please note that the orders with the T-shirts will be shipped toward the end of the process as the toys beat the shirts here. We hope you enjoy these great figures!

While I haven't received a notice yet, some fans are already getting tracking information.

Transformers Prime Tuesday Q&A: Composer Brian Tyler

The Transformers Facebook Page has been doing Q&A's with people involved in the creation of Transformers Prime for a few weeks now. This week's was with Brian Tyler, the composer of the score for the series.

Here is an excerpt of the Q&A:

Katie Seiwert asks: Were you influenced by any of the past Transformer score and/or soundtrack music? If yes, which one(s)?

BRIAN TYLER: I listened to the scores of the films and thought they were really cool and fit those films really well. When brainstorming with the producers of Transformers Prime we talked about doing a very epic orchestral score that harkened to movies like Star Wars, which had scores that were very tune-centric but had a lot of movement in the orchestration. It is a different approach but both have their place.

Related to this is a reminder that Transformers Prime (Music from the Animated Series) goes on sale March 6th. CDs are $15.94, but I just noticed that they've put up samples and a page for MP3s now. The MP3 album is only $9.49.

Michael Bay Officially Making 'Transformers 4' For June 29, 2014 At Paramount

Deadline Hollywood has news that Michael Bay is indeed doing a fourth Transformers film. He just announced that he was doing a two movie deal with Paramount. The first movie is Pain And Gain, which starts filming in April and stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The second movie is Transformers 4, currently slated for a June 29, 2014 release.

The story was announced because producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura leaked the news to MTV at Toy Fair NY. Di Bonaventura also mentions that it will be a "reboot" in the style of the new G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie, where a few characters return, but it's a largely new cast. MTV's interview with Di Bonaventura is embedded below.

Slagacon 2012 customization classes

Chad Williams posted some news about customization classes at Slagacon 2012 on the IaconHub Facebook page. They will be having beginners and advanced classes, both though by FrenzyRumble, a popular customizer in the fandom. Chad's full post is below:

"Slagacon 2012 will be holding not one but two customization classes!!! One will be a beginners class held on Saturday October 13th. The second will be an advanced class held on Sunday October 14th. Each class will include a figure, customizing kit (all the essentials) to customize the figure. These classes will be taught by none other than FrenzyRumble, one of the best customizers of TF figures there is! Each class will be $50.00 (with paid admission for the day of the class). Do not miss out on a class taught by FrenzyRumble!!!"

Transformers Prime score announced

TFW2005 had an news item about an Amazon listing for the Transformers Prime Score. Amazon only has the CD listed, but I would imagine that it would also be available in MP3 as well. The score is titled Transformers Prime (Music from the Animated Series) and has 25 tracks. It is listed as $15.92.

Transformers: The Ride 3-D Super Bowl ad preview

SuperHeroHype has story about a Super Bowl ad for Transformers: The Ride 3-D, ride is Universal Hollywood's new Transformers themed thrill ride. The ad is described in the press release as:

The spot will culminate with a call to action, challenging viewers to enlist at PrepareForBattle.com as N.E.S.T. volunteers within an elite AUTOBOT –human combat force. The PrepareForBattle.com website includes an interactive, online game in which fans and theme park enthusiasts will compete to rise up the military ranks by successfully completing missions involving exclusive videos, downloads and trivia. Players achieving the highest accumulated point totals will win prizes including original "Transformers" collectibles and a grand prize trip to experience “Transformers: The Ride–3D” at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The ad will be a 30 second spot, and SuperHeroHype has a 8 second preview that you can see below.

Update from Transformers Club on Exclusives sale

The Transformers Club just sent this e-mail on the problems they've been having with their credit card processor:

We are currently working on a solution with our credit card processor so that they can handle the incredible volume you are presenting them. As soon as we have something in place, we will send out a notice of how we are going to handle this situation.

We appreciate your patience. In addition, please do not call as there are no orders being placed by anyone. Before the CC processing company closed the port due to being overwhelmed, we only sold through about 20% of the run of each figure. There are still plenty left. We may have to change processors and this could take a little bit of time. Again, we appreciate your patience.

Transformers Club Exclusive Sales Halted

The Transformers Club has made a post on Twitter about their suspension of the exclusive figures pre-sale. They blame the problem on issues the credit card processing company is having with the flood of orders. They followed up the post with an e-mail to club members stating:

We have turned off the Exclusives and the Club Store as they credit card processor cannot handle 8-10 transactions a second. They are going to try to reconfigure tonight and we will hopefully try this again tomorrow.

The Club did emphatically state on Twitter that they are not out of stock. If you have problems ordering tomorrow you can contact them on Twitter (@The_TF_Club) or on Facebook.

The Transformers Collectors Club sent out the press release (below the break) this morning about the 2012 exclusive figures, Over-Run (Runabout) and Shattered Glass Drift. Transformers Prime: Season 2 Episode 1 trailer

MTVGeek has posted a preview of the Transformers Prime season 2 premiere, "Orion Pax - Part 1". The video recaps the end of season 1 covering what happened with Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Unicron, then shows brief clips of the coming episode. I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say I like where Season 2 is headed based on this preview.

Transformers Prime: Season 2 Episode 1 Title and Description revealed!

TFW2005 found that Zap2It updated their Transformers Prime listings with the title and description for the first episode of season 2. The episode is titled "Orion Pax part 1" and the episode description is:

"Megatron manipulates the impaired Optimus into joining the Decepticons."

Season 2 premiers February 18th at 8:30 EST on the Hub network. That day will also be the premier episode of the new Rescue Bots series that is aimed at younger viewers. The network will be also be showing the animated Transformers: The Movie from the 80s that day as well.

New exclusive digital comic by IDW

IDW has released a digital only comic called Transformers: Autocracy written by Chris Metzen longtime Transformers and G.I. Joe writer Flint Dille. The description describes a pre-war story with Orion Pax and Megatron and their fight against the Autocracy on Cybertron.

The comic is 99 cents, and can be purchased online with the Comixology app on most mobile platforms or through your web browser here.

New convention in Savannah Georgia - Savcon

A new unofficial Transformers convention has been announced. It is called Savcon and is in Savannah, Georgia June 23rd and 24th, 2012. Preregistration is $30 and ends May 1st. They have some pretty notable guests including Greg Berger (G1 Grimlock), Neil Kaplan (RID Optimus Prime), and Daniel Ross (Starscream in Transformers: The Movie Video Game). If you're in the Savannah area it looks like it would be an inexpensive, fun weekend.

IDW Transformers More Than Meets The Eye #1 preview

IDW's Editor in Chief, Chris Ryall, has posted a 5 page preview of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye. This is the first of two new Transformers titles that follow the "Chaos" arc in the Transformers ongoing comic and the "Death of Optimus Prime" one-shot. "More Than Meets The Eye" follows Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, and their crew as they search the universe for the Knights of Cybertron. The comic is released this Wednesday, January 11, and to see the preview check out Ryall's blog post.

The second Transformers title from IDW is Transformers: Robots in Disguise and is released January 25th.
