I have had quite a few emails the past couple of days from readers wondering if I am all right. I want to thank everyone for their concern and let you all know that I am totally fine I have just been EXTREMELY busy the past week.

With the Easter Holiday and family coming into town that we haven't seen since Christmas we have been spending a lot of time away from home and things are going to just be getting crazier. Right now we have family in town, next week my husband graduates with his bachelors and the day after he graduates we are leaving for 9 days to go on a CRUISE!! This has been a VERY long awaited vacation and I am counting down the days! But, as soon as we get back we will pretty much be broke and without a job!! Thank goodness for big tax returns and my couponing skills! :) My husband works on campus for BYU and since he will no longer be a student he will no longer be working for BYU. So the job search begins for this next year while we wait to start Law school.

So, as of now I will be busy helping my hubby look for a job as well as help him study for the LSAT which he will be taking in June. I also have been looking into some different programs and schools and have been considering going back to school to get my Masters. I NEVER thought I would want to go back to school but here I am wishing I could go back!! I still am not sure if I will or not but we joke around that me, my hubby, and two kids could all pack our school lunches together in the morning and head off to school together! :)

We have multiple different vacations and family reunions for the next couple of months so I have decided instead of worrying and fretting about making sure that I have a post up everyday while trying to get everything else done I am going to STOP doing the "I Am Frugal" blog for a time.

When I started the "I am Frugal" blog I was in a "season" of life where I NEEDED something to do at home while I was home with the kids all day. "I am Frugal" became my "Out." I feel, at least for the next couple of months, that a new season has begun and I need to make some changes and new priorities for me and my little family.

I have LOVED doing this blog and have learned so much about all of my different readers, saving money, how computers work :) and so many other things that I'm excited to look into and learn more about. I have even considered looking into taking some classes about online marketing or web design for the future!

For now, I am saying Goodbye to "I am Frugal." Maybe someday I will start it up again and hopefully find some of you great people again. Until then, thank you for your wonderful encouraging comments and the great tips and help you have given to me to make posting on this blog a lot easier!

Redbox has released a free rental code for today. This promo code expires tonight at midnight but you can use multiple credit/debit cards for this same promo code to rent more than one DVD.

To use the code, select whatever movie you want, go through the screens as it directs you. I was recently contacted by a Jiffy Lube representative about some great money saving tips with our cars and wanted to share. I don't know if I've mentioned on this blog yet, but in 3 weeks I am going on a Cruise with my hubby for a week to celebrate his graduation and our 5 year anniversary, I am EXTREMELY excited! We will be gone 8 days and to save a couple hundred dollars we have chosen to drive to our port in LA. Plus, I LOVE road trips!! I didn't really go on them as a kid so now I LOVE any chance I get for a good long road trip. Give me a book of Sudoku puzzles, apple juice, some great music and I'm set!

I thought these were some great tips to go through and consider before we all start heading out for the summer. Let me know what you think!

TIPS TO SAVE MONEY AT THE PUMP

We can shave off dollars every day by doing little things. The tips below from the car-care experts at Jiffy Lube will not only help keep your vehicle in top shape – helping to avoid potentially costly breakdowns in the future – and put a few dollars back in your pocket.

An air filter is essentially your vehicle’s lung. A clean air filter helps the engine “breathe” and run more efficiently, while a clogged one makes the engine work harder. Check your vehicle owner’s manual for when to replace your engine air filter.

Tires:
Tires can be gas bandits as under-inflated tires create extra friction where the rubber meets the road. Incorrectly inflated tires also wear unevenly, which can impact your vehicle’s traction on the road and possibly lead to a dangerous blowout. According to the Federal Government, you can improve your gas mileage by around 3.3% by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure. You can find your vehicle’s recommended tire pressure information in the vehicle owner’s manual or often on a decal typically in the vehicle’s door jamb or in the vehicle owner’s manual.

Oil Grade:
Motor oil lubricates the engine, keeping it cool and reducing friction between moving parts. As the motor oil circulates, it also cleans away harmful dirt and contaminants. When motor oil gets too dirty, it loses some of its lubrication and absorption abilities. According to the Federal Government, using your vehicle owner’s manual recommended grade oil can improve your gas mileage up to 2% -- savings which can add up over time! Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for the correct grade of motor oil for your vehicle.

Lighten Your Load:
Extra weight means more strain on your vehicle and more fuel burn. According to the Federal Government, vehicle drag can decrease your vehicle’s fuel efficiency by 2%. Leave unnecessary items at home before setting out on a drive.
*maybe I should lose a few pounds ;)

Avoid Aggressive Driving:
According to the Federal Government, rapid acceleration/braking can lower your gas mileage up to 5% around town.

Carpooling:
Taking advantage of carpools could cut your weekly gas usage in half. Not only will mom save a few bucks, but she’ll get some much-needed time back!

Every Monday Redbox releases a free rental code. This promo code expires tonight at midnight but you can use multiple credit/debit cards for this same promo code to rent more than one DVD.

The code for today is: 89ZQJ3

To use the code, select whatever movie you want, go through the screens as it directs you. When you see a button on the bottom of your screen that says "add promo code" click on it and it will prompt you to enter in your code. Afterwards, it will direct you to finish out the rest of your transaction. You do have to swipe your debit/credit card still but there will be no charge put on your account unless you return it after 9:00 pm tomorrow night.
