Sick Day

#PrincessMackinzie is home sick today. She woke me up about 2:00 am saying she felt like she was going to throw up. :( She had a mild fever too. It’s never easy when your wee ones are sick. Kinda feel a little helpless because I can’t instantly make her feel better. So, I’ll be out of the office today for the most part. Taking a “sick day.” lol I’m hoping that she’ll feel better once she wakes up.

Natural Light vs Off Camera Flash

Lighting is what really makes a photograph. Some shoot in natural light and some shoot with artificial lighting or off camera flash. I shoot with both. I honestly don’t prefer one over the other. Both lighting “setups” serve a purpose. Here’s a little one verses the other in the same location maybe an hour apart in time. Which do you prefer to shoot with?

Off Camera Flash

Took Mac out the other day to play with some off camera flash. I watched Crazy Stupid Light on CreativeLIVE with Scott Robert Lim. It was such an informative course! I highly suggest it if you’re interested in learning OCF. I’ve read many books and watched Zack Arias’ one light course. Scott’s class was definitely a great refresher and gave me motivation to get out and practice with it more. I feel a casting call coming on soon! lol

Natural Light Photography

Found another spot in my home studio where I can take images of Mac where the natural light isn’t too bright. She must have some really sensitive eyes because I rarely get a shot where her eyes are open lol. Still working on it. One day. One day lol. She’s also getting better at not having a complete meltdown when I ask her to pose for me lol.

Ringo Needs A Bath

Poor Ringo. He needed a bath so bad! Finally made an appointment for him over at Shangri-Paw. We really can’t say enough great things about them! They do a great job on grooming Ringo and their customer service is the best!! Definitely go check them out if you need a place to take your dog for grooming. Here’s Ringo’s before. I’ll try to get an “after” in a few days. :)
