Since I found such a great intern with my last posting, I thought I'd post again about a job position we have at my jewelry line. We are hiring for a full time Order Fulfillment position that would run the shipping operations out of our office. I would need somebody that is available to come in to our office during normal business hours (we do have some flexibility on hours though) and manage everything that has to do with our orders and shipping! Our offices are located in Kent, WA.

Just a few requirements:

Some office experience
Knows how to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
Can pick up tasks quickly and think on their feet

Christian Louboutin Simple 100 pumps - I gotta work on my tan but at least nude pumps help out the leg situation with making them look a bit longer.

I decided to show two ways to wear this dress as it's so versatile I could think of 100 more ways to wear it! But I love the cheery pink and decided to add the Flower Petal Necklace to make it more fun. Life Lately

Life has been super crazy lately and so posting on the blog will be sporadic but I'm still here and wanted to say hi! Just an update and sharing photos from my instagram. If you don't follow me yet, you can follow me here!

Cherishing the moments of being able to take long walks with our dogs. (I'm almost 23 weeks here but I'm 24 weeks now!). Wearing a Forever 21 Dress

Last week was a bit tough for me because of the pregnancy. Even though I still don't look very pregnant (you should see the surprised looks I get all the time when people find out I'm 6 months pregnant). The weight that I have gained has all gone to my boobs and my belly and all that weight in front is killing my back. Sleep has been tough, sitting on the couch has been tough, walking has been tough, etc... and I've been a little unhappy about it all. My super sweet husband has been giving me daily massages and putting up with my sh*t and he also got me a little gift to cheer me up. I love the bow clutch that he picked out for me. I just love that he went shopping on his own and picked it out for me as I've never even seen or mentioned this clutch to him before but when I saw it, it was so me, and I love that he knows that about me. It doubles as a crossbody and has a bow print that you can see on the back.

I had a really great weekend celebrating mother's day with my mom. Being pregnant has really made me appreciate everything that my mom has done for me and I'm so glad to be so close by and be able to see her whenever I want!

Our business is really taking off, so much so that we got a new office and are in the process of moving! It's such exciting times to see our little business turn into everything we've envisioned (I mean we are not there quite yet but in less than 2 years, we've had amazing growth.) and having a team of people work for us. We're also growing so rapidly that we've just hired two more people on our shipping team along with the merchandising intern that my sister is hiring. Such crazy fun times and I'm loving every minute of it!

We added watches to our designs and I LOVE them!! The Gold Link & Tortoise watch is my favorite and is selling like crazy. The colored watches will be on our site in a little bit. We are still perfecting a few things with the designs on those but get excited because they will be gorgeous!

And then, my husband and I bought a house! We just closed yesterday and am so in love with our new home. It's so us and will be perfect for when the baby is here. So now along with the move for the new office, I have to move our old house into our new house which is quite a daunting task especially because oh yeah, I'm 6 months pregnant and will be 7 months by the time we move everything all in. Yikes! So all in all, it's quite an exciting few months for us and I'm sure will be for the next few months and then before I know it the baby will be here. I'm actually more scared for that part than anything else! LOL! I hope you all are having a great week!

Vacation on the brain

The weather has been unbelievably beautiful lately, and it’s making me dream of my next vacation. Vacation season is right around the corner, and whether you’re planning to relax on a beach, see the sights in Europe or trek through Asia, you’ll need to bring the right outfits. I'm a sunglasses lover but finding glasses to fit my flat bridge is hard to find. So happy to find that these House of Harlow ones fit perfectly. I've shopped at Sunglasses Shop previously (that's also where I got the Lanvin ones) and they have great prices + great selection. I have yet to own a pair of Rayban Wayfarers but they have a great selection and am thinking of getting a pair!

Comfort is key these days. Loving my maternity jeans + blazers for when the weather is not quite that warm. When it gets warm, all I wear is dresses. Trying not to overthink my wardrobe these days, have so much else going on! Happy Monday!

What I'm Wearing
SheInside Blouse - I love the girly details of this blouse. I've had pretty good luck thus far with my SheInside blouses, I also love this mint blouse and pretty lace blouse.
Ebay Tulle Skirt - I was on a hunt for a tulle skirt for awhile (I thought it might be cute to wear with a baby bump but I may be re-thinking that now. ha!) and could not find one in a decent price range until I randomly decided to look Ebay and there it was for cheap! The quality actually isn't that bad and it fits great so if you are looking for a tulle skirt, I highly recommend getting it from there! I just saw that ModCloth has one for a good price and is a lot poofier than mine.
Manolo Blahnik Pumps - Mine have sequins on them which make them a bit fancy but I still wear them all the time. Loving the studded versions too.

The weather here has been unbelievably awesome. I love it and spent so much time outside this weekend. I put away my winter clothes and pulled out my shorts, skirts and "summery" pants and was uninspired by what I currently own so went looking for a few new things to add to my closet. You know how much I love printed jeans so of course gravitated toward printed shorts and skirts as well.

Polka Dot Shorts - I love my polka dot jeans so these are totally calling my name!
Skirt - Adorable and love the color.
Floral Print Short - pretty colors and would look great with a brightly colored blouse or a chambray top like they've paired it.

I'm playing catch up with my lookbooks so that's why you still see the cherry blossoms in the background even though they are long gone. ShopSosie is one of my favorite online shops, they always have a ton of cute styles that I can't find anywhere else. They kindly sent over a package of things for me to try and I immediately had to wear this blue dress with the sparrow print. It's so cute and it comes with an orange ribbon belt which looks adorable together. It was still too chilly to go with a short sleeve dress and didn't feel like doing my regular blazer over dress so tossed on this favorite bow sweater of mine and loved the crazy print mixing combo.

Although it’s not exactly warm in Seattle yet, I’m looking forward to the warmer months so that I can break out the sandals! Flat sandals are must during the summer, and especially for my pregnancy. I’ve found some great options, all for under $100!

1. Joe’s ‘Kody’ Sandal - Love that this sandal mixes textures. It’s the perfect neutral sandal to wear every day and with everything!
2. Nasty Gal Zealand Sandal - Strappy, gold hardware and neon? Amazing combination. And if you’re not into the neon color, it comes in black and gold too!
3. Loft Vierra Gladiator Sandals - These are a great neutral sandal, but with a little edge. Plus, these (and everything else) at the Loft are currently 40% off

1. Zara – Leather Thong Sandals You can’t go wrong with a thong sandal, and I love this fuchsia color!
2. Zara – Silk Satin Ankle Strap Sandals The silk satin gives these a luxe look, and you really can’t beat the price!

I've had an incredible time with being a #maxxstylescout. I've found so many things that I love at T.J. Maxx and always walk out with such awesome finds! Thank you to my awesome intern for helping me take these pics! :) We went out for lunch and then I asked her to snap a quick outfit pic for me. I'm not one for fancy backgrounds or whatnot, I just like to capture my outfit so wasn't really paying attention to the background behind me but a man who was smoking a little farther down the wall was watching us the entire time. After we were done snapping the pics he said to us "What's so special about this wall?" He was absolutely confused as to why I would want a picture by this wall! What I'm Wearing
Forever 21 Sweater - You may remember I posted about this sweater previously. I love the stripes with the heart print. Perfect for my casual Sunday that I had. I ordered this heart sweater at the same time and love it as well.
Madewell jeans - You know I love my Madewell jeans! I get questions all the time about sizing and if you have J Crew jeans, they fit smaller than J Crew in both through the legs and the waist. I tend to think Madewell runs more true to size where J Crew runs big.
Chloe Mini Marcie Bag - Not much to say about this bag except I LOVE IT! :) It's adorable and I don't find myself missing carrying a bigger bag. It's gorgeous in the Cashmere Grey as well. I just spotted this other version of the Chloe Marcie Mini that is so cute (and better price point). It's so bad since I just bought this bag, but I want that version too!

ALDO Marilee pumps - Comes in nude too which is great for spring. I went with black because I loved the contrast with the studs and since Seattle is not quite into spring weather I'm getting lots of wears out of the black. They run true to size and are really comfy.

I got the fun task of shopping at ALDO for new shoes and was happy to try on some of their fab new spring and summer collection. I picked out these ultra high platforms that are "business in the front and party in the back" :) I love the stud/bling detailing on the heel and sole! The girls at ALDO were oohing and aahing over them as they just got them in and they hadn't seen anyone try it on yet. I think I convinced all of them to get a pair too! Even though they are high, the platform helps a lot and makes them a lot more comfortable to walk in.

I couldn't get enough so I browsed the website and found these other styles that I'm loving. So cute for spring and summer! I love all the strappy styles. Our weather won't be ready for strappy shoes for awhile but I'm ready for it and thinking that any of these options would be perfect for my summer outfits!

Colorful Cross Body Bags

Earlier this week, I posted about how much I’ve been enjoying my Target cross-body bag, and it made me think about getting more to add to my collection. Cross-body bags are perfect for the warmer months when you just want to be light and not carry so much stuff! Here are some of my picks at different price points:

1. IIIBeCa by Joy Gryson – Church Street Envelope Bag Super-cute bag for the summer. Plus, all IIIBeCa bags are hand-crafted of vegetable-tanned leather and a portion of the proceeds go to charity.
2. Tinley Road – Mika Can’t really beat this price. I really like the raspberry color and the cute gold lock on the front. Very similar to this Kate Spade one.
3. TopShop – Faux Leather Mini Satchel Love this periwinkle color. Love the handles so you can choose to carry it across your body or as a cute satchel.

JCrew – Tartine Purse This bag is so chic and versatile. It looks like a great size – not too big, not too small – and I like that it’s so sleek and classic-looking.
Marc by Marc Jacobs – Werdie Woven Mixed Media Shoulder Bag The woven design on this bag is so fun! The tag on the side is a great detail, plus the strap is adjustable. (Tip: Saks Fifth Avenue is having a Friends & Family sale all weekend, so it’s currently 25% off!)
Madewell – The Friday Clutch Such a great color! This doubles as a clutch and a cross-body bag – extra-functional!

3.1 Phillip Lim Mini-Pashli Satchel The Pashli is a favorite for a while now, but I almost like the Mini-Pashli a little better. The details are what really make this bag, the two zippers in the front, the way the sides expand, and the hardware.
Loeffler Randall – Rider Mini Mixed Media Bag This bag will definitely get you noticed. It has a great combination with the floral print, and the classic shape. (Tip: Also part of the Saks Fifth Avenue Sale – 25% off!)

Bumpdate: Half way there!

I've passed the half way mark and am now a little over 5 months. Kind of crazy to me how fast this time has gone! Baby has been quite active since 18 weeks and I love feeling the little flutters in my stomach. I had a normal appetite up until 19 weeks when I was a hungry hungry hippo and that's also when my bump grew the most. I don't have any weird cravings but I eat a lot of fruit! I can't get enough of it.

Funny thing is when I first started telling friends and family that I was pregnant, everyone assumed I wanted a girl probably because I'm so girly myself but I've never had a strong desire for a girl or a boy even before I was pregnant. I've never been the girl who thought about dressing up her daughter and doing all sorts of fun girly things. I quite honestly just wanted a healthy baby regardless of the gender. When we found out it was a girl I think everyone else was more excited about it being a girl than I was. Although not my husband, he was pretty sure it was going to be a boy :) Not that I'm not excited but because I didn't lean either way, I wasn't whooping or hollering for either gender. I was just glad to finally be able to buy stuff for the baby!

My sister bought her this little coat, it's my favorite thing ever! It's got a bow on the back too. And I had to get her these adorable skinny jeans. How could I resist?

Heidi Klum New Balance

I didn't really love working out until a few years ago even though I've been pretty active since I was a kid. But I think we can all agree that sometimes going to they gym is an absolute drag but we still do it! I still don't LOVE working out but I like it enough to get my butt to the gym at least 3 days a week. One thing that totally motivates me to go to the gym are cute workout clothes. I know that looking stylish isn't the most important thing when working out but when I am wearing things that are cute and look good, I feel a lot more confident and have a way better workout! I like to alternate days of cardio/weights and yoga and it's a pretty good balance for me.

New Balance sent over a few of the new Heidi Klum for New Balance workout clothes for me to try out and I love them! They work for both my circuit training days and for my yoga days. The capris fit great and don't drag down when I'm in the middle of my workouts and but my favorite is the coverup which I wear on my walk to the gym but also during Savasana in yoga to keep me warm.

Hello there baby bump! :) As I mentioned last week, I'm still getting used to this new body of mine and am trying to embrace my bump. I'm still able to hide it when I wear pants but thought I'd give it a little spotlight in this pencil skirt. I've always been very conscious of my belly as I've never been one with flat washboard abs but I'm getting used to the idea of being able to show off my bump and not feel totally chubby. I'm sure things will change when I'll no longer be able to hide it at all and then I really will just embrace it and be proud of it! It's getting there! My husband has been very kind to the belly and loves my bump which makes me feel better. Pregnancy brings on so many changes but nobody can prepare you for the way your body will change and how you will feel about it. I've not been a stranger to body image issues and to have this change to my body has forced me to change my mindset about gaining weight and such. It's a tough little journey but the most important thing is that baby is healthy and I'm happy to report that everything is going well so far and I'm so thankful for that.

Thanks so much to those of you that gave me some great tips on maternity style on my last post. It was also nice to hear that some of you felt the same way during your pregnancy, it helps to know that I'm not the only one!

I'm headed back home today after spending time in Chicago with my family for my nephew's first birthday. It was so much fun to hang out with my family and especially to see my adorable nephew turn one and see him eat his first bite of cake!

Just a few random bits from my instagram that I wanted to share with you. I've been loving this crossbody bag from Target. I just can't get enough! My husband laughed in my face when I bought it and he (sarcastically) said that was so sure that I was going to use this bag over all my designer bags but I really have been using it a lot! It's actually nice to have a bag that I don't have to worry about it getting wet, dirty, scuffed, etc... And it looks small but it carries a lot.

Another OOTD. I had thought that I could put away my boots but the rain came back with a vengeance. When I was in Chicago it actually snowed so I was very glad that I packed boots!

Polka Dot Picks!

If you’ve read my blog, then you know that I love polka dots. They’re a great pattern, because they make a big impact, while still being versatile enough to wear with almost everything. I’ve been seeing a lot of this trend as I shop, and wanted to share some of my picks!

Tops:
(1) Madewell – Linen Racerback Tank in Polka Dot This is a great tank top to wear with shorts or skirts during the warmer months. Polka dots can go retro quickly, but the racerback cut makes this fresh and modern.
(2) Anthropologie – Piped Peplum Blouse Peplums are still really trendy, and this is a great version. Plus, this top comes in a regular or petite sizes!
(3) DVF – Fariba Hot Fix Dress This dress is definitely a splurge, but I can imagine wearing this all year round! The polka dots on this dress are actually pearlized studs, which makes it really special. Wear this with flats or heels during the summer, and tights and boots for the colder months.
(4) Anthropologie – Dotted Clara Blouse Polka dots and peter pan collars – two things I am really into right now. This is a great blouse to dress up your jeans and t-shirt look.

Bottoms:
(1) Forever 21 – Polka Dot Ankle Pants Super cute, these look retro and fresh at the same time.
(2) Forever 21 – Polka Dot Skinny Jeans I love how the polka dots on these are a similar shade to the color of the jeans, so it’s really subtle and cute. Plus, these are really affordable, and come in a bunch of different colors.

And let's not forget the accessories! I've been eying these Comme Des Garçons wallets forever. I think they are adorable!

Rich & Skinny jeans - I'm usually not a snakeskin print kind of girl but I loved the navy color and the subtle print of these jeans. These were actually a great score from T. J. Maxx but they are on sale here for $49.99!

My Pregnancy Style

Since I've been pregnant, I haven't really had to change my style. It helps that I still have a relatively small bump and that I've been able to wear all my regular pants and jeans thus far. I know that this is going to come to an end soon as I'm at that stage where I look/feel chubby rather than pregnant and this transition period has been a bit more tough on me stylewise. Unfortunately everything that I've found maternity wise either doesn't fit right or looks frumpy and just generally not cute on me. I'm learning how to style this new (and growing) body of mine but it's just not quite there yet. I think because I've always been so self conscious of appearing chubby that I'm not as open to showing off my bump. I guess I just feel awkward showing off my stomach when it's a part that I've tried to hide all these years. I'm slowly figuring out how to dress so will follow up with a post next week on hopefully how I've been able to zest up my pregnancy style!

I've been looking for pregnancy style blogs (which btw, are harder to find than I thought, if you guys have suggestions, please let me know!) And am adoring these gorgeous ladies' bump style!

At home gel manicure - Couture Gel Nail Polish

Melissa, the president of Couture Gel Nail Polish contacted me to see if I wanted to do a review of her at home gel nail polish kit and of course being nail polish obsessed I said yes! I was definitely intrigued to try it out.

The lamp to cure your nails (I was silly and didn't take off the blue sticker before I took this photo but you are suppossed to take it off before using it which I did.)

The Base and Top coat that helps seals the nail polish

The five colors I chose:

Amethyst Crush
Chic

Cashmere
Cranberry Cosmo

Pretty in Pink

I went for mostly pinks but a mix of creme, shimmers and glitter polishes.

I've done a manicure about 3 times with this kit and I love it every time. The steps are super simple. Basically, base coat - cure under lamp for 2 mins. Paint your color and then cure for 2 mins. Top coat and then cure for 2 mins. That's it! Of course you need to prep your nails before hand like with filing and getting your cuticles nice and clean but I do that with any manicure. I love how fast the process is AND it's instantly drying so you never have to worry about smudging. Oh and one last step after you're done is to just run a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol on it over the tops of the nails and it removes the stickiness and creates an extra shiny coat for your nails.

Pros:

Super fast painting to drying time
No smudges
Last up to 3 weeks without chips
75 colors to choose from
Not having to paint and repaint your nails every week if you don't feel like it.
Auto timer on the lamp so you don't have to sit there and watch the clock, just push a button to start and the light will turn off when it's done.

Cons:

You have to be really good at cleaning up your polish mistakes before you cure it, otherwise you are stuck with polish on your cuticles and it's not so pretty and not as easy to make clean lines like with regular polish.
Peel off - I think this comes with practice too but I think I overpainted my base or top coat onto my fingers so one of the edges started curling up and then got caught on a shirt and then the whole gel polish ripped off my finger nail like a press on nail (don't worry it didn't hurt)
Storage - I already have so much nail polish and little room to store it so to have to store the lamp is not helping but it's totally worth it for the chip free nails.
The kit is pricey but if you get enough salon manicures it may be worth the savings.

I painted the majority of my nails with Pretty in Pink (my favorite so far) and an accent nail with Cranberry Cosmo.

I highly recommend it. I've been so busy lately and haven't been able to pay attention to my nails so this has been a great solution for me to still have nice looking nails without having to take time out for a full on manicure every week. You can get it here!

Forever 21 Dress - comes in black and is under $20! Definitely for the shorties though. I don't recommend it to anyone who is taller or has longer legs than me as it might be a tad too short! I adore this drop waist polka dot dress too.

I think this was the last lookbook I took before I cut my hair. I was so sick of all this hair and just had no ambition to even to try to style it. So glad I cut it! Sometimes a day calls for a comfy dress and cardigan. I've been having more and more of those days but man, this weather has been a bit wacky (it was hailing/snowing on Saturday!) so having to pull out my tights is not making me very happy. Glad I was able to sneak in this outfit for one relatively warm day.
