He told us how the lord had changed his life for the better and seemed sincere enough for people to not be as annoyed as they usually are by such things. When he walked through the car handing out his pamphlets people seemed attentive. He then went on, "Ladies, you’re looking at a former playboy. I slept with woman after woman trying to find what I could only find through my love of Jesus. I look at women with these big busts...breast; I mean Beyonce, Halle Berry, and Alicia Keys all in one. What I've learned is, only Jesus can give me what I need." It was kind of refreshing because usually when the subway sermon's turn to the part where they do their personal reflections, it always turns into stories of how they were strung out on crack, dope, or cocaine. I remember one dude had this line, "I was smoking like a Nava hoe chief." I always find myself feeling awkward when these dudes get on the train with that stuff. I try to read but feel guilty for not listening, even though I really don't want to.
When I got off the train, I ran into more Jesus freaks. If you're not from NY you may not know what I speak of. In the city we have these people in the train station that walk around with red vest on that read "Prayer" on the back asking if they can pray for people. I got caught up talking to one, I tried to give him the quick nod to acknowledge his presence and keep it moving but dude jumped on the escalator with me. He told me how Jesus died for my sins and how Jesus performed miracles and asked me if I've ever seen anyone do that. I was like, "Have you?"
I believe in a higher power and accepted Jesus as the vessel to that higher power but I've recently began to question that. There are no time machines; no one knows what really happened back then. Books I've read like the Da vinci Code that talk about how the Catholic Church manipulated the perception of Jesus to monopolize power, have raised doubts in my mind. Me and the dude chatted it up, he kind of felt where I was coming from, then some guy walks over like, "excuse me" and starts telling the dude about the protocol, time limit, and how he's supposed to move on to the next person. He just looked at me and was like, people like that right, and I was like, “yup.” He tried to continue the convo but quit after admitting the guy had ruined his vibe.
I was coming from recording for my mix tape “Classick” at my boy Mercury’s crib. I decided to talk about my views on some issues and my life experiences that led to the creation of some of the songs as intro for some of the tracks. I hope people don’t find me dialogue annoying. I don’t think I was as on point with it as I could have been. I’ll see how it sounds when he emails me the joints though. On another note, was I alone in anticipating that Hillary would win PA by a margin large enough to stay in the race? Why does this whole thing seem scripted in my mind? I feel like I’m living a movie I’ve watched already but can’t quite remember. I really don’t feel Hillary though, she just seems so desperate and insincere to me. I think she’d sell her left titt to get in office. Regardless of who wins, I think we’re going to end up with John McCain as president. Hillary fucked the Democratic Party with her ego.
I have to shout out the Hornets too for smacking Dallas. Chris Paul is the truth; I didn’t know dude had game like that. Dallas is a disappointment; they went through all that trouble to get kid. It’s going to be funny if they get swept in the first round of the Playoffs; and why won’t San Antonio die already?
