It is definitely easier to go with the flow but harder to confront the issues and difficulties. With the flow, everyone goes with you including perhaps the debris that came along the way. Going against the stream simply means everything is against you. Its a hurdle with the stationary rocks, the moving debris and the rampaging water. When you stop and look back, your only comfort is the exhilarating view that somehow you have gone past the numerous difficulties. When you look forward, though, its an unending upstream of difficulties.

There is a saying that what is done cannot be undone. I will say that there is another twist to that… “what is done will return again”. There is always the strange feeling that we can undo what has occurred in the past, if only we can change the wheels of fortune or move back the clock.

The same goes for our environment. A great scenery seems to “suspend in time” and tell us that such view is timeless and frozen if only we learn how to appreciate it and protect it.

In our age, when practically everything is in danger of extinction, we just need to pause and savor what is left behind and hope that there is a slowdown to our own destruction. In times of crisis, we ponder. Easter brings about that hope for the better things to come our way.

Happy Easter to all!
