Family finds a kitten hiding from 102-degree heat in their yard, takes her in, and finds she's the purrfect fit for their adventurous hiking lifestyle

Ayala Sorotsky — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 14:30:00 -0700

There's a perfect cat for everyone out there, and the Cat Distribution system knows how to find them for you.

It sounds absurd, but there's really a cat somewhere in the world that is the perfect fit for you. And you. And yes, even you. Everyone who reads these very lines, and anyone else who's not here today. A cat who fits your pace of life, your hobbies and interests, and even your cat allergy levels. There's a cat out there who answers all of your purrsonal criteria of pawfection. Yes, even if you're an adventurous, hike-loving, outdoorsy family like the one here, who shared their delight in finding a kitten who loves the vastness of nature just as much as they do.

Most people would say it's the Cat Distribution System that brought them their perfect cat - because sometimes it is true. People just find or happen upon a cat, seemingly out of nowhere, that after being taken in is found to be the most perfect addition to their family. And that's just how the Cat Distribution System works, in its mysterious ways. But what about the times when you don't want to simply sit and wait for that mystery cat to appear? People can wait for years until their turn comes. But that doesn't have to be your fate.

Going to your local cat shelter and asking for a cat that demonstrates the qualities you're looking for is not bypassing the Cat Distribution System's plan - it's you enacting it and putting it in full gear. You actively go to adopt a cat in need, and in return get the best cat you can. Shelter workers are waiting for the right person to come and adopt that one specific cat, the one that fits you exactly. And they know them, they'd know to tell you if a cat fits you and all your choices. If you haven't yet - take this as a sign to go and find your most purrfect cat.

A Fresh Batch of Adorable Cat Purritos Stuffed With Extra Floof and Toe Beans to Satisfy Your Feline Cravings

Sarah Brown — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 12:00:00 -0700

Cats are already cute, but wrap one up in a blanket with just their little head sticking out and it's game over. You've got yourself a purrito.

One minute, your cat is running around the house, knocking things over and causing chaos. The next, all four paws have disappeared into a blanket and there's just a little fuzzy head sticking out of the top. How are we supposed to take them seriously like that? Even the spiciest kitty becomes an adorable snack once they're all wrapped up.

And purritos come in plenty of flavors. Orange purritos are obviously extra spicy. Void purritos are basically a blanket with two big eyes staring out of it. Fluffy purritos usually have half their fur spilling out of the sides, making for a very overstuffed burrito. We'll take one of each, please.

The funniest purritos are the ones who clearly did not place this order themselves. Their human has them tucked in nice and cozy, meanwhile they're staring daggers at everyone in the room. You can practically see them planning exactly how they're going to get their revenge once those paws are free. Unfortunately for them, it's hard to be scared of a cat who currently looks like lunch.

Then there are the kitties who are perfectly happy staying wrapped up. We get it. A warm blanket, a long nap, and nowhere you need to be? Sign us up. Throw in a few treats and we'd happily spend the rest of the afternoon burritoed on the couch too.

For now, we'll just enjoy this batch of fluffy purritos. They're the only burritos where cat hair is always expected and appreciated.

28 Comfort Cat Memes For Cozy Hoomans Combating the Cold With Warmth

Briana Viser — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 06:30:00 -0700

It's cuddle season. No one is judging you for cuddling your cat instead of a human.

Seriously though, there's no shame in being single for the winter season. In a 2025 study, 41% of citizens reported being single between ages 26-39! That's almost half of the dating population that is simply choosing solitude and singlehood over being coupled up. It's hard these days to maintain a relationship, or maybe it's always been like that. Sometimes it feels like no one has the power anymore. Where women once held the baton of power and control in relationships and dating, it seems like roles are being switched around, questioned, and oscillating with the times. With dating apps, the fear of someone better could be causing a lot more single people than coupled. You may have a great date, but there's another date just a swipe away.

Even if so many young adults are choosing single solitude, you can still get those much needed cuddles in! In the form of cat hugs, kitty snuggles, and feline cuddles. What's wrong with choosing the cat life over dealing with some overprotective, overly jealous guy who's probably just going to hurt you in the end? People show their true colors, and it can be downright embarrassing to go on first dates. The same conversations over your favorite shows, music tastes, your backstory in what you studied, what you do for work, or trying desperately to talk about more interesting idiosyncrasies that we all have inside of us.

So when the world of dating seems bleak, and the sky gets dark at 4:30 pm, never fear. You'll always have the warmth of your cat to comfort you through rainy nights, pillow fights, and anything else. The great thing about cats being your snuggle partner is that they will never leave you! Sure, they might get out of bed to use their litter box, or get some bites of food, but ultimately they're basically stuck with you. Better to use them while you can. Turn on that cozy winter movie to watch together, or scroll hilarious cat memes with your cat, but make sure to tell him or her that you're not talking to any other cats! Some cats get jealous, don't they? So enjoy these absolutely hissterical cat memes for cozy, cold, winter cuddles.

‘I want my cat back’: Cat visiting nursing home inspires joy and heartwarming meowmories to cat loving senior residents

Laurent Shinar — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 08:00:00 -0700

Therapy dogs are some of the most well known cases of critters coming to the aid of hoomans. These puppers play a critical role in the emotional wellbeing of so many people, yet there are those of us hoomans out there who may not require the same sort of support, but still need a helping emeowtional hand. That is where our therapy cat comes into play and where this story comes from. From the senior citizens who had to sadly give up their freedoms for the safety of a nursing home and in the process lose their own cat children.

It is a heartbreaking thing to hear about and think about. The idea that one day you will be shipped off to a nursing home only to have your cat child ripped from your fingers. As though it was not bad enough that someone has decided for them that they are no longer able to live alone, but they also decided to rip their cat from their hands. So it is rather dang heartwarming that a private cat loving citizen would step up and take it upon themselves to share his kitty with those who so desperately want that love.

So the next time you look at your cat child and think to yourself how lucky you are to have this love all to yourself. Take a moment to consider if you could also help out a feline fan like these and affect some real change in their lives. You never know how much of an impact a little bit of feline love can have on a cat lover.

‘He’s a little fighter!’: CDS delivered one-eyed kitten to couple a week after moving into pet friendly place even though they were hoping to adopt a dog

Laurent Shinar — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 07:15:00 -0700

Many people wait their whole lives to be chosen by the Cat Distribution System. To have that fateful day come their way when a cat comes up to them, locks eyes and demands to live with them forever more. It is an overwhelming reward for any cat lover. So to see it happen to someone who was actually looking for a dog to bring into their life is at a minimum incredibly confusing and at a maximum rather offensive to the rest of us. But that is what happened merely a week after this couple moved into their first pet friendly apartment.

Cats, much like kids, come to us in many different ways. Some are born to us, some choose us, and some attach themselves to your leg and never let go. But what the CDS and cats pawticularly seem to love is the element of surprise. Often employing discretion and hiding to give the hooman they have targeted a bit of a jump when they come upon them. But in this case the jump was not so much one of physical surprise but of mental as the couple who had been chosen by this pirate cat were actually looking for a dog.

But even with their canine preferences they stopped everything they wer doing and proved themselves to be pawfect pawrents giving round the clock care to the injured kitten and seeing it through some of the toughest days of its tiny life.

A year after beloved dog crosses rainbow bridge, couple finds kitten they can't keep, but knows someone who needs her even more: 'I’m so glad he’s going to have a loving family'

Briana Viser — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 05:45:00 -0700

The only constant in life is change. A message from the universe could have been for someone else, a delayed train might mean you'll meet the love of your life, and finding a kitten on the year anniversary of your beloved dog's rainbow bridge crossing could mean something else for you entirely.

The world is full of mysteries. You wouldn't be the first person to say "there are no coincidences," even though it's impossible in the moment to really understand what it means. There's a strange clockwork regarding timing, precision, chance, luck, and change that permeate the cosmos. It's ever flowing through the air, and we're simply here to bear witness. This couple lost their beloved dog a year ago. The day after the year anniversary the woman finds a kitten at work. She manages to save the kitten from underneath a car. Her husband says they can't keep the little one, but luckily there's someone else who needs the kitten more than she does, and that's her coworker. It may not always seem obvious why things happen, and maybe on the surface it would seem like the husband is just being a brat not letting them keep the cat. But life has a way of managing these things without informing us in the moment that it's actually for our benefit. Ready the full story below.

21 Flexible Cats Showing Off Their Best Stretching Poses During a Pet Pilates Workout

Cata Holmes — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 04:00:00 -0700

Who needs a yoga mat when you have four paws and flexible bones?

I've always been convinced that cats are at least 50% liquid. I can't explain it, but whenever I hold a cat or even touch it, I can feel how they melt on my arms. Besides, there's no other explanation as to why they can make themselves fit into whatever position they want to be. It doesn't matter how small or how weird the shape is; they will squeeze their bones and make room.

The other day I was actually thinking about this, and realized that these stretches are, in fact, a pet Pilates class. If you ever watched a cat contort itself and melt, you can tell they do this very slowly and are mindful about every movement. They don't rush anything: they calculate, think, and move. And that's how they can move and adjust each of their bones into these containers.

Listen, if I were a cat, I'd totally be playing with this. I'd pick and choose different couches, chairs, boxes, corners, and try to fit comfortably. What I would love to see if this is actually as effortless as how they make it look like it is. I'm sure that for younger cats it's simple and they just fit, but maybe for older or stiffer cats, it's harder. But whatever the skill, it's an impressive feature.

Now, I wonder… how about a recovery period? Because even though it doesn't seem like it requires a lot of energy from them, it does seem tiring to be squeezed into a small place. But they don't seem to care: they don't drink water after that; they don't sleep… they just get up and move on with their day. Looks like my ideal workout class.

Of course, cats have been doing these long before we decided to put the cute name of "pet pilates", so it's time to watch and learn from them. So, welcome to today's pet pilates class: no membership required. Just cats demonstrating their best stretches, poses, and some questionable interpretations of basic anatomy.

23 Cute Cat Memes to Fall Into the Sweet Spooky Season With (October 6, 2026)

Bar Mor Hazut — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 03:15:00 -0700

How do you officially prepare for Halloween?

Some holidays are not a big deal and do not require a lot of effort from people. Thanksgiving, for example, really only requires you to buy groceries a few days in advance and cook for the whole day, and July 4th is really all about the BBQ and going out to see some fireworks.

However, holidays like Halloween lead many people to start preparing weeks and sometimes even months in advance. It's not just about getting the decorations out of storage, going out to buy candy for trick-or-treating, or even buying new fall-themed scented candles: we have a Pinterest board dedicated to all things Halloween that we start saving ideas to since around May.

The biggest thing we feel we need to prepare for is our costumes. We do not take our Halloween costumes lightly, and we there's nothing that spooks us more than getting to October without a clear idea of what our costume is going to be and what we need to buy to perfectly assemble it. So, we have at least five options already selected months in advance, including a list of supplies necessary to pull it off, and if anything changes by the time October comes, we have plenty of time to make adjustments. By the time October 31st is here, we've already tried our costume on several times, and even had time to try on a few hair and makeup looks to go along with it. We know that many hoomans don't share the same need for preparation and are happy to throw on a costume from last year if they find themselves without one, but we truly enjoy this process and consider it a part of the spooky fun that comes with the spooky season.

The fact that we're so prepared is also a huge deal for our cats, who are usually extremely happy to see the Halloween decorations being hung as soon as October starts, because they know they are going to have a full month to play with them all and absolutely tear them to shreds. At least there's nothing they can physically do to these hilarious cat memes!

23 Cozy Cat Memes to Give Your Fall Day a Big Warm Fuzzy Hug

Mariel Ruvinsky — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 15:15:00 -0700

A good collection of cat memes feels like a cozy hug on a chill day.

Fall is finally here, and everyone knows that it is the purrfect blanket season. Not winter, no - specifically fall. Winter is too cold to enjoy blankets properly. We want to be able to purrito ourselves in our softest, fluffiest blanket with a pair of shorts and a tank top underneath. We want to feel that comfort, to be wrapped up in that blanket in a way that feels like a cozy, warm hug.

And a good hug is all that we want on a chilly fall day. It really is. And since we can't stay home and hug our cats all day long, and since asking your boss at work to hug you might be a little weird, we have to go to the next best thing, the one thing that feels like a hug no matter where we are and what we are doing. Funny and wholesome cat memes. It works every single time without fail.

Rare condition causes cat to look 'triangular' but doesn't stop him from being chaotic and cuddly and living life to the fullest

Mariel Ruvinsky — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 14:30:00 -0700

Cats don't let anything stop them from living their best lives.

There are a lot of things that we love about cats, if that wasn't obvious to everyone yet. But one of our favorite things about them is that nothing stops them from living their best lives. The things that worry us about them are things that they don't even think about. You think that your cat getting chonky is a bad thing? Your cat doesn't. They're enjoying the snacks. You think that your tripod cat having three legs is going to stop that cat from running across your face in the middle of the night in a zoomie attack? It will not. The run will just be a little wobblier than it is supposed to be. You think that your cat being deaf will stop it from screaming its little head off when it is hungry? Not even close. If anything, they will only scream louder, because they have no idea how loud they are making.

No condition, no situation, no nothing will stop your cat from being a cat. It could even be something as serious as a rare condition that turns your cat triangular, like the cat in today's video. This cat's brain is not fully developed, he wobbles, his eyes never close, and you know what? It doesn't stop him. It doesn't even look like he knows that he is different from the other cats at home. It doesn't stop him from playing with his cat friends. It doesn't stop him from cuddling with his human and demanding attention. It doesn't stop him from zooming around. And certainly, it does not stop him from being happy.

Having the right home for a cat like this is obviously critical for their happiness. But it just proves that they really can be happy in the right environment. More people should give cats like this a chance. You don't know how amazing they can be until you see it yourself. And here is your example. And there is a reason why his foster ended up foster-failing after barely a week.

'Why do we even buy them expensive beds?': 40 Funny Box-Bound Cats Committing Container Crimes in the Name of “If i fits, i sits”

Blake Seidel — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 13:45:00 -0700

If you're a feline fan, you've probably heard the term "If i fits, i sits" before, but where does it actually come from?

We've all seen it happen. You open up your recent order from Amazon, and leave the empty box by the door so you don't furget to recycle it when you leave the house next. Before you know it, your cat has claimed that four-sided box and turned it into their feline fortress. It's purrfectly cute and adorable, and only stings a little bit that they prefer that cardboard container more than the expensive cat bed you bought them that is specifically designed for maximum feline comfort. I've actually given up on buying my cats beds entirely, they'll only use them if I put a cardboard box inside of the bed itself.

Thus, one of the internet's oldest cat commandments was born: "If i fits, i sits."

The phrase is classic Lolcat culture. In the early 2000s, USPS came out with the slogan "If it fits, it ships," and the two are so close that we can't believe that it's merely a cute coincidence. This lines up with the rise in popularity of Lolcats memes, which started to gain traction on I Can Has Cheezburger in 2011. From there, it spread across Reddit, Tumblr, and basically every corner of the internet where people were posting pictures of cats in boxes, sinks, bowls, baskets, shoeboxes, and containers that are 3 sizes too small or 10 sizes too big.

If you don't believe me, Google "if i fits, i sits." You will be able to scroll for hours and never even reach half of the posts of cats in boxes. You might even find some posts of my cats in there, too!

The funny part is there may actually be some science behind this cat commandment known to felines and hoomans alike. Cats are naturally drawn to to enclosed spaces because hiding can make them feel safer. One study of shelter cats found that cats given hiding boxes showed their stress levels dropping faster than cats without them.

Basically, all of this is to say that when your cat ignores the $70 orthopedic bed and crams themselves into your opened shipping boxes, they're not being ungrateful (okay, maybe they are being a tiny bit ungrateful). They might just be following a very ancient feline instinct: find a tiny space, occupy tiny space, and become an unmovable loaf.

Daughter and dad adopt 9-week-old orange kitten Charlie without permission, but he makes mom's heart melt when she notices he likes to FaceTime his birth brother every night

Blake Seidel — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 12:00:00 -0700

You can't control everything in life, so if an orange kitten is going to randomly appear in your life, you might as well make the best of it. It helps if he's outrageously cute, likes to FaceTime his littermates, and you name him Charlie.

Purrsonally, I've never been targeted by the Cat Distribution System (not yet, anyway). Maybe it's because I'm too ready. I nearly go to bed every night wishing to find a kitten or cat in need that I can take home and add to our happy feline family. But if you know the CDS, then you know that it often finds you when you least expect it, kind of like love. The CDS brings a cat into your life for a reason: maybe it's to help you grow, to find more compassion, or simply because you had the space and the little kitty had nowhere else to go.

Over-preparing in life can be just as harmful as under-preparing. With too much preparation, you start to question all your hard work up to that point. It's like looking at the spelling of a word for too long, under enough scrutiny and anxiety, you can even question a 100% factual answer. Without preparing at all, you leave yourself vulnerable to the forces of fate and allow a lot of room for human error. So, purrhaps, I need to let go of the expectation of getting a CDS delivery and learn to live in the meowment. Maybe then I'll be able to see more clearly what is right in front of me. So, CDS, if any stray cats or kittens want to walk in front of my path, the time is now.

The mom in our story below was underprepared and understaffed. Perimenopausal, raising 3 kids and with a house already full of pets, she certainly didn't expect her daughter and husband to sneak an orange kitten into her house without asking purrmission first. But, like any loving mother, she couldn't tell her daughter no, who had already fallen completely in love with the ginger baby, whom she named Charlie. But there was one additional detail that really sold mom on the new pet.

They found out that Charlie likes to FaceTime his littermate brother, and now it has become a nightly tradition. I don't know anyone who could say no to something as cute as that.

Purrfectly Pawsitive Cat Memes to Inspire a Day of Self-Love, Sweet Treats, and Putting Yourself First

Sarah Brown — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 11:15:00 -0700

Cats don't need to be reminded to make time for themselves. In fact, they're basically purrfessionals at it.

Feeling tired? Take a four-hour nap. Feeling hungry? Scream until somebody fills your bowl. Need some space? Find a cardboard box and disappear for the afternoon. Need affection? Climb onto your hooman and refuse to move until you've received the proper amount of cuddles. Cats know what they want, and they're not afraid to ask for it.

We could probably learn a thing or two from our feline friends. Life gets busy, and somehow taking care of ourselves always ends up at the bottom of the to-do list. Meanwhile, our cats are stretched out in a sunny spot without a single worry in the world. They aren't thinking about what they should be doing instead. They're busy getting their beauty sleep, and that's impurrtant business.

Then there's the self-love. Cats have absolutely no shortage of confidence. They'll spend twenty minutes grooming one paw and then strut through the house like they're ready for the catwalk. And you know what? Good for them. Every kitty deserves to feel like the most ameowzing feline in the room.

So maybe it's time to channel a little of that cattitude. Take the nap. Buy yourself a treat. Curl up somewhere cozy. Say no to plans when you need some alone time. Spend a little longer doing something that makes you happy just because you can.

You don't have to spend all nine lives running around trying to get everything done. Sometimes the most purrductive thing you can do is slow down, get comfy, and give yourself some of the love you deserve.

After all, self-care isn't selfish. It's just good fur you.

‘Only Cleo was left, waiting alone’: Cat lovers go to a wedding and come home with an abandoned mama cat, giving the sweet girl the furever home she deserves

Sarah Brown — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 10:30:00 -0700

Most people come home from a wedding with a few cute pictures, maybe a party favor, and a serious need for a nap. These cat lovers came home with Cleo.

The Cat Distribution System clearly doesn't care whether you're dressed for a rescue mission. When they found this sweet mama cat, she'd been abandoned with a litter of kittens and was doing her best to keep her tiny family going. Naturally, there was no way they could just walk away. They grabbed food and supplies and came back the next day ready to help the whole crew.

But when they returned, the kittens were gone. Only Cleo remained.

We can only imagine how heartbreaking that must have been, especially after seeing her working so hard to care for her babies. But if there was one thing they could do, it was make sure Cleo never had to worry about surviving on her own again. So, congratulations to the happy couple, but we'd argue Cleo scored the biggest happily ever after that weekend.

She's since gone from struggling mama to spoiled house cat, which is exactly the career change we like to see. Her new humans say she's already become the "undisputed queen of our hearts," so clearly Cleo understood the assignment. Find humans, move in, take over entire household. Classic cat.

There's just one little bit of paperwork standing between Cleo and her next adventure. Her humans are currently living outside their home country, so they're getting her vaccinated, microchipped, and even securing her very own passport so she can eventually travel home with them. Somewhere, their other cat Kenzo has absolutely no idea that a new roommate is coming.

Forget catching the bouquet. Coming home from a wedding with a cat might be the real prize.

26 Feline Funnies Featuring Cats Being so Very Cat

Ayala Sorotsky — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 07:15:00 -0700

What makes a cat very "cat"?

It's a question for the ages. Cat people have tried to answer that one basically since cats domesticated themselves and entered our lives for good. Because cats will be cats, for sure, but some cats tick that category with a furious check mark - they're just so very cat it's hard to ignore. Their meows are more meow-y, their biscuit-making skills can rival a patisserie chef, and their faces are extra smooshy because they have that extra cat cuteness in them. You know? Well, if you don't know, let us try to explain this cat conundrum.

When we say a cat is so very cat, it's hard to explain why. Humanity hasn't answered that for millennia. But we can provide examples of the cattiest of that extra cat behavior, being, and vibe. When a cat runs after a toy, that's just a cat activity. But when a cat has a scheduled zoomies meeting with themselves and your resident ghost at exactly 3:52 AM every night, that's extra cat. When your cat meows because they think their food bowl is empty while it's not, that's just a cat thing. But when they pick the bowl up, regardless the amount of kibble inside, and throw it in your face, that's so very cat of them.

And that's this extra cat sauce we're talking about. We're not sure why it happens in some cats more than others, but it happens. And these are just some of the examples of this cattiest of cat behavior. And it's this exact vibe that makes the best cat memes. They're very Cat - very extra, very meow, very amusing. That's the best way to make cat memes - include the Very Cat cats in them.

Las Vegas mom hears meowing outside and sees a cat mama who gave birth right on her front door; the family took mama and kittens inside and adopted this feline family into their own.

Ayala Sorotsky — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 06:30:00 -0700

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, and the rest of the cat-loving community worldwide.

Saving one cat is amazing, but saving a family of cats is glorious. There's something extra kind about letting a whole feline family into your house, making them a permanent part of your home. It's extra kind, extra hearty, and definitely extra cat-y. If you've ever raised more than one cat in your home, you know how much more Cat™ your house becomes. So walking that extra mile for more than one cat is admirable.

And now add the fact that these are not just a random couple of cats that this Las Vegas family adopted, but an actual family. A mama and her kittens, whom she gave birth to right in front of the family's front door. They are bonded. And if you're a cat lover for more than a day or two, you know one of the first rules about adopting bonded cats - you never separate them. Bonded cats should always stay together.

Some cats form a very deep bond with each other, becoming bonded. But what exactly is it? It's an evolutionary instinct instilled in felines made to help them survive better in the wild. It's a social instinct, if you will, that is essentially a developmental imprint cats develop with each other - because safety comes in numbers.

That's why you should never separate bonded cats, be they a couple of cats imprinted on each other or a family born together. It's literal emotional trauma for them, and it can have physical health implications for them as well. Bonded cats rely on each other for safety and comfort - take that away, and you've got a sad, anxious, and angry cat.

So we give all the kudos to this one Las Vegas family who made the right call - they adopted the entire litter. They won a bunch of cute kittens, and the kittens won a life of safety, warmth, and endless love.

Giuliana Tiscioni — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 04:00:00 -0700

Who says that the only dates you can have are just with other hoomans? Tuxedo cats are right there, and they're looking better than the guys you found on dating apps.

Let's face it: the dating market is quite scarce lately. We are not left with a lot of options, and the ones you actually end up dating are definitely not the ones you want to introduce to your parents. So what do we do? We go search for the only guys who will be one hundred percent loyal to us: cats.

Our furry feline friends are single-handedly keeping us sane and accompanied without giving us a handful of cringe-worthy moments. All they do is sit there, judging everyone who passes by, looking pawdorable and making us feel like the proudest pawrents out there. No cringe. No issues. No drama. Just floof and unmatched feline elegance. Especially if that cat is a Tuxedo kitty. They don't need anything else to look fashionable, elegant, and gorgeous. With them, you definitely would have no issue taking them out or introducing them to your parents. They literally come with a built-in formal suit. How could anyone not love them?

My Tuxedo cat is a girl cat, so she's a girlboss in a suit. She's a little crazy, and sometimes she looks like there's not a single thought behind her eyes, but she still looks stylish anyway. She may be silly, but in an elegant way.

To celebrate our pawdorably sharp kitties, here we have a roundup of Tuxedo cats. We wish our dates could be as elegant and properly clad as these fluffy felines.

A Purrfectly Cozy Fall of 21 Feline Fluff and Snuggly Cuddles

Cata Holmes — Tue, 06 Oct 2026 03:15:00 -0700

Ready to trade your fall blanket for something a little fluffier and significantly more judgmental?

Isn't the best part of fall the fact that we can get infinite cuddle time? Because during other seasons, the snuggles are not as available as in fall. Or at least, that's been my experience with the types of pets I've had. From winter to summer, every single animal that I've ever owned didn't like to cuddle. Yes, not even in winter, when the temperatures were very low. But during autumn, they were always ready for some cozy couch time with me, and I never quite understood why.

I still don't understand, but I don't complain because at least I get one whole season of snuggles and cuddles.

Depending on the animal and the type of pet, the amount of snuggles that you will get. Even though I've never been a cat mom, I was a cat sitter for a while, so I know the cuddles they like and when they like them. And with the cats that I looked after, I realized that fall is when cats like to be cuddled the most. Maybe it's because we just left summer behind, and during those crazy heatwaves, nobody likes to be touched. So when autumn comes around, and the temperature is friendlier, animals become softer and actually want to spend more time next to you.

If it were up to me, I'd cuddle with any animal all year round. There's nothing that calms me more than having some quality physical time with them, but I get that everyone has their preferences, and like some humans don't like to be touched by animals, some animals don't like to be touched by humans.

To honour the start of the cuddly season, I gathered the cutest pictures of snuggly cats for you to enjoy, if your pet is still not in cuddly mood. I'd love to hear your experience with cuddles and pets, so let me know in the comments if my pets were the only ones that didn't like to be cuddled.

A Nostalgic Journey of Cat Memes That Feel Oddly Reminiscent of Childhood

Briana Viser — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 15:15:00 -0700

We all have an inner child, and something about cute cats really brings us back there.

Everyone has an inner child. Whether they touch that part of them, feel it, or interact with it is up to the person, but it's there. It's filled with wonders, with colors and shapes that defined our childhood. Filled with memories good and bad, but all veiled by the aura of nostalgia, as if we're wearing rose colored glasses. Nostalgia is like a hypnotic state where everything looks a little better and a little brighter. There are some things that bring about this sense of nostalgia more than others. Maybe it's a familiar smell, like garlic frying in a pan, or a certain laundry detergent. Maybe it's a song that your mother used to sing to you to go to bed. Maybe it's watching Disney movies that remind us of our childhood. And maybe it's about scrolling wholesome cat memes, because something about their early internet aura makes us feel like we're kids again.

Cats have an inner child too, we just never see if (unless you speak cat, of course). It's not always a simple thing to cling to, and some of us have childhoods and memories teeming with confusion, bereft of a sense of belonging, or feelings that we associate with our family that we don't always want to revisit. But that's the beauty of nostalgia; it helps us forget those thing, helps us feel like it's all in the past, like there's this big bubble of time, space, and protection between us and then. So, enjoy these nostalgic cat memes that make us feel like kids again.

Moody Monday Cats Who Are One Work Email Away From Calling It Quits

Sarah Brown — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 14:30:00 -0700

If Monday morning had a face, it would be a grumpy cat who just got woken up from a purrfectly good nap.

Nobody likes Mondays, and cats certainly aren't about to pretend otherwise. They've spent the entire weekend snoozing in sunny spots, demanding snacks, and enjoying the finer things in life, only to be rudely reminded that another workweek has arrived. Not that they actually have jobs, of course. Unless you count supervising the household, testing the structural integrity of cardboard boxes, and making sure their hoomans never get a moment of peace.

If cats had to work a nine-to-five, we're convinced they'd be fired before their first lunch break. Imagine asking your feline coworker to finish a report, only to find them curled up asleep on the keyboard. Need them to attend a meeting? Sorry, they're busy licking their butt. And don't even think about asking them to stay late. Their afternoon nap starts at 2 PM sharp, and they're not accepting any interruptions.

Then again, cats already have plenty of experience ruining their humans' productivity. Anyone who works from home knows that the second you sit down at your desk, your kitty suddenly needs your undivided attention. They'll walk across your laptop, knock your coffee over, and park their fluffy behind directly in front of the screen. Very helpful, thank you.

Who can blame them for their Monday cattitude? Getting out of bed is hard enough when you're a human, let alone a feline who's accustomed to approximately 16 hours of beauty sleep. One look at their unimpressed little faces and you can practically hear them asking whether it's Friday yet.

So, to all the felines struggling through another exhausting workweek, hang in there. Caturday is only five days away, and until then, there's always time to squeeze in another nap on company time.

‘A win is a win’: Cat lover comes home after a heartbreaking day and finds a tiny tabby waiting in their backyard, turning a rough afternoon into a pawsitively wholesome surprise

Sarah Brown — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 13:45:00 -0700

A little bit of feline love can turn even the crummiest day into something pawsitively wonderful.

Cats have a special talent for making life a little better, whether it's curling up beside you after a long day, greeting you with a tiny meow, or simply being their ridiculous little selves. They don't need to do much, either. Sometimes, just having a fuzzy face to look at is enough to put a smile on your face.

One cat lover had just returned home from a difficult day of selling sentimental jewelry to make ends meet when a mysterious meow interrupted a backyard stroll with their toddler. Being no stranger to neighborhood strays, they knew something was different about this particular kitty. Unlike the usual skittish visitors, this little guy was more than happy to have a conversation.

After an adorable game of feline Marco Polo, a tiny tabby appeared behind the neighbor's fence, ran straight toward his new hooman friend, and practically delivered himself into their arms.

Anyone who's ever tried to rescue a stray knows how unusual that is. Most of the time, you're crouching behind bushes, making questionable pspsps noises, and trying to convince a suspicious feline that you're not secretly plotting their downfall. This guy apparently skipped the entire interview process and decided the position of temporary house cat was his.

He was soon fed, tucked into a cozy blanket, and given his own separate space away from the four resident cats until a trusted no-kill rescue can take him in. Quite the upgrade for a little street kitty!

There's something especially lovely about this pawrent, despite having plenty on their own plate, still making room to help another tiny creature. And while a kitten can't magically make life's problems disappear, a warm, fuzzy reminder that good things still happen certainly doesn't hurt.

One less kitty on the streets and one unexpected bright spot on a difficult day. We'd call that a pawsome win.

21 Cats With Hard Hats Clocking In at the Long Day Factory This Monday

Celeste Mello — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 12:30:00 -0700

It's time to start another shift at the long-day factory, and these hard-working cats know it. They are already waiting for lunch break, but at least they came prepared to follow safety regulations. Safety first!

Who keeps hiring cats at this factory? Somebody had to check their references. Their previous experience includes sitting on a laptop, stepping on the keyboard, knocking a glass off a table, and falling asleep while someone else finishes the job. Now that they are wearing hard hats, apparently that was enough to get them through the interviews. To be fair, they look convincing. Wearing the appropriate little hats and following safety regulations deserves recognition.

Monday hits hard for this crew to report for duty. Everyone has arrived, but arriving and being ready to work are separate things. One employee is stealing copper wire, the other is looking for somewhere to sit, another is drinking an energy drink already and it's only 8 a.m. The cat supervisor has been staring at the same spot for several minutes, which could mean deep concentration or a fly.

Actually, the hard hats are doing most of the work so far. We can't ask for much. It's Monday. Getting through Monday requires a convincing appearance of competence first, while you work out what is happening and really get to work. Fake it until you make it, they say. Well, just like these cats, embrace your Monday hard-working self and try to look competent while you're trying to remember what you were supposed to do first.

Eventually, you will get something done, even if that something is answering an email. That means your Monday is officially moving along. Until then, adjust your imaginary hard hat and let these little hard-workers keep you company while you figure out your next move. Lunch break is not so far!

The feline forces of fluff are here to help you cross the finish line to the weekend

Ayala Sorotsky — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 12:00:00 -0700

We know it's Monday, but when cats are involved in the workweek, the weekend is ever so slightly closer than it actually is.

When Monday starts, it's automatically all doom and gloom. But as cat lovers, we refuse to let the beginning of a workweek dictate how we pass it until the weekend comes. The weekend is sacred cat time, but there's no reason why the middle of the week won't serve the same purpose. The midweek can still be full of cat bliss and meowing joy, even when you leave for the office every morning while your cat, sadly, stays behind. We all wish we could bring our cats with us everywhere, like the purrfect leash-trained cats you see online, but we know most of them will not tolerate it. So what we have is a bunch of cat memes we can carry with us in our pockets everywhere we go - even work.

So that's exactly what we're bringing here this Monday! A bunch of cat memes to get very cat lovers through the week, and right into the feeling of the weekend. And just like that, the week doesn't seem so bad, and Monday isn't so awful anymore. The magic of cats is real, even in meme form.

'He gets to be our office cat for a while': Coworker rescues kitten from the road next to his office, and his colleagues adopt him as their unofficial mascot while he waits to go live with his rescuer's son

Ayala Sorotsky — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 11:15:00 -0700

Every office should have a meowndatory office cat.

We love it when workplaces adopt an office cat. It's like letting the cutest coworker you've ever had walk in through the door and instantly becoming your work's entire "Happiness" department of HR. No need for a human to organize a happy hour when you have a kitten roaming the corridors. It's all workers have ever wanted. We should know, because we have the best office cats in the world.

First of all, we have Toby the tabby cat. He's quite the lorge chonker, dragging his weight everywhere he goes. He actually has an official title: CPO, which stands for Chief Paperweight Officer, because he's the most precious paperweight we have around here. Then, we have Baroness, the black cat. She's everything Duchess from The Aristocats is, just in inverted colors. She's a true royal, prancing like she owns the place - and she totally does. And lastly, we have Patootie the itty bitty kitty. He's still a smol baby cat; we don't know what kind of character he'll have when he grows up, but we're sure he'll be as cute as he is now.

All three are a menace and a blessing, and we love them all so much. That's why we're so happy to learn that another office, somewhere out there, adopted a fluffy mascot. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved. More offices should raise cats, and also raise them in ranks to basically manage everything.

Cat pawrent gets global fame for crafting unique costumes, turning her tabby into the handmade Pokémon of your Halloween dreams

Blake Seidel — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 10:30:00 -0700

You couldn't ask for a more purrfect crossover if you're a nerdy cat pawrent. Cats, Pokémon, crafts, and Halloween all in one place? I must be in heaven!

I'm one of those people who loves the idea of crafts, but doesn't have the patience to follow through with it. Let alone making crafty costumes to put on my cats, who would rather go without tuna for a year than sit still enough for me to put them in a cardboard costume, let alone take a picture of them in it. But, it makes me appreciate the people who do it even more because I know how much effort it takes. It also reminds me that all cats are different - for example, mine are box-crazed little weirdos with a tendency to get the zoomies at the most inconvenient times, and others, like the one below, are chill with quite pawssibly anything.

So now we get to @pokemonbaddies beautiful, hand-crafted creations. Her purrfeclty patient tabby cat, named Leo, has risen to global internet fame because of her parents' passion for Pokémon and turning her cat into limited-edition pocket monsters! She even has a YouTube channel where she shows you how to craft your own cardboard Pokémon costumes for your felines at home. Like I said, I would love to, but my cats would probably rehome themselves if I attempted to make one for them.

With Halloween right around the corner, this cat pawrent could not have chosen a better time to show off her crafty costume-making skills. She may only have a few followers now, but I imagine that by the end of October, she'll probably have 10x the number of followers she started with. And even if she doesn't, I purrsonally love her content, as someone who grew up watching Pokémon on TV, collecting the cards, and also wishing my cat could use flamethrower like Charizard.

'[I'm] running an old folks home for cats': After his owner passes, this cat is abandoned by his family, but a kind couple gives him a second chance and two senior friends for his purrfect retirement

Mariel Ruvinsky — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 08:00:00 -0700

Being abandoned at an old age is a heartbreak that no cat should experience.

One thing that we always dread as cat owners is the day. The day that they will leave us. The day they will cross the rainbow bridge. We cannot imagine a worse pain. But there is a worse situation, and that is for your cat to lose you. Your adorable spoiled cat is entirely dependent on you - for their physical needs and their emotional ones. A cat losing their owner is something that no cat should experience, because they don't understand why their emotional tether is no longer with them. They just think they got abandoned.

That is what happened to the cat in today's story, only that in Benjamin's case, it was even worse. After his owner passed, the owner's kids decided that they are willing to keep all of the younger cats, but him - a senior who should be living his best retirement - they abandoned. It was luck - or maybe the CDS - that had this kind couple find Benjamin. They took this brokenhearted kitty and gave him a second chance and a second family - with two pawrents who love him and two other senior cats to keep him company.

‘My car was covered in notes that there was a kitten inside it’: Community saves scared feline hiding in engine after 12 hr and 2 car rescued

Laurent Shinar — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 06:30:00 -0700

While cats can be some of the smartest creatures on the planet they are also just as likely to be some of the dumbest. Now, it is not totally their fault as who can expect a cat to understand the complex mechanics of a car and its engine, but you would have hoped that after seeing these big metal boxes whizzing around the streets that it would make sense not to approach one ever. But when you are a lone kitten trying to survive a cold night on your own, a warm engine is quite the inviting spot to crawl into.

However, even thought it might have been easy to crawl into the cozy engine block, getting out would prove problematic and once the engine had cooled and conditions became uncomfortable this kitten began looking for a way out. Not that she was able to find one on her own and so we arrive at the beginning of our story at 2 am when a passer by happened to hear this kitten's cries for help coming from the car. Now, of course it was late and dark and incredibly unclear whether the kitten was in the car or in the engine but nonetheless the hooman who heard her felt responsible and left some notes on the car for its owner to warn them not to drive off.

But not only did they do that, they also offered their help because they knew that a job half done is a job not worth having begun. And together with a few feline loving community members and a whole lot of tires and patience this tiny feline was finally freed from the scary spot she had gotten stuck in.

‘My son trained our cat!’: Pawrent’s child ends months of feline destruction after teaching catto sibling to climb ladder instead of scratching wood

Laurent Shinar — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 05:45:00 -0700

Cats are not a species that are all too well known for their trainability. In fact many of the anecdotes, jokes and jibes that surround feline kind are actually aimed at the fact that cats with their superior intellect have no interest in participating in training whatsoever. And it is hard to blame them for such a thing considering. But in this story we have a case of a kid who has managed to teach their cat to do something rather extraordinary while also deeplying pleasing his dad at the same time.

Whether it is kids or cats, parenting is no easy thing. Heck, when it is both kids and cats it is even tougher. On one side you have a screaming demon who is always demanding food and has no sense of rationality and on the other side…the same thing. Sure, they come in slightly differing variants but the results are very much the same in the end. So you can imagine how burned out this dad was when trying to cook up a plan to stop the family cat ruining the nice paint job on his kid's bunk bed. A behavior that he felt he would be unable to ever stop.

But what this dad did not realize is that it was never about stopping that behavior, but replacing it with a different one. Something that somehow his child managed to see and come up with a very creative solution. So the next time your cat child is kicking up a storm you might want to have a think about employing this seriously clever strategy.

Person spends 3 hours lying in the grass next to their car to catch the kitten hidden under it, they succeed and take the sweet baby home: ‘I’m woefully not prepared’

Bar Mor Hazut — Mon, 05 Oct 2026 03:15:00 -0700

Is there a time limit to how much you're willing to spend in order to save a fluffy baby feline in need?

When I came across my sweet cat, Coco, it took me a few hours from the moment I first spotted her to the moment she was finally safe inside my home. The process started with gaining her trust. She was already hanging around in my parents' backyard, so it wasn't like I had to stand around in the wilderness and convince her to come near me; she was already chilling in the garden, and I had all the tools I needed inside. Naturally, I started by offering her food, and she gladly accepted. After she had her meal, I sat next to her and allowed her to get to know me and get used to my scent. When she was comfortable enough around me, I went inside and, by some miracle, she simply followed. That evening, we got a carrier from the vet and took her to get checked. By nighttime, she was happy and clean in her new home. Overall, it was one full day before I was able to call her mine.

Not all hoomans have it this easy. Some spend hours trying to rescue kittens from difficult locations. You need patience, resilience, and a lot of will to successfully hold a scared, stray kitten in your hands. That is the case in the story here, of a hooman who spent hours lying on the grass on a mission to rescue a 7-week-old kitten who was hiding under their dad's car. The full details are waiting down below.

Pierogi the cat spent freezing nights outside a sanctuary, desperate to get in but too afraid to try; now he won't stop cuddling every single cat there, proving no stray is ever a lost cause.

Ayala Sorotsky — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 15:15:00 -0700

When a cat is too afraid to take the first step, it's good that there are kindhearted hoomans there to help.

It's a known fact that some cats adopt themselves. They barge in with the sheer force of cuteness and the need for a shelter, and just meow as if saying, "I belong here now, hello family." Cats have this audacity built into them, but that's not a foolproof hereditary chain pased down to all cats. Some cats are more shy, others might be resistant to being captured (for understandable reasons, if they don't understand the concept), and some are just too afraid to make the first step into their forever home, despite knowing deep down that they need to be helped off the streets.

That's basically the description of Pierogi, the cat who eventually found a warm welcome in the cat sanctuary he hung outside of in the freezing cold. That's his wholesome story.

20 Whiskered Weekend Memes for People Who Plan a Cozy Day With Their Cat

Ayala Sorotsky — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 14:30:00 -0700

What's a weekend without a cat involved?

There's no doubt in my mind that a weekend spent without making sure you give your cat a whole lot of attention isn't a weekend well-spent. It's like a weekend task that needs to be completed before you rush into another workweek and all its scheduling mess. Having free time and not spending at least part of it with your cat to make some joint chilling time is like a cat pawrenting crime. Like, you have free time - just let your cat be part of it. Sure, some time will have to be dedicated to your cat alone, but you can just include your cat in what you do regardless, and they'll be happy.

For example, my cat will demand her one-on-one time with me. Literally. She installs herself on my stomach every single time I'm lying in bed, or when I'm finding five minutes to rest my back on the living room couch. I have no choice but to put my phone away and give her all the attention, because she's just so cute. She purrs like a motorcycle, and I love it. And if I can't dedicate 100% of my attention to her, she'll find ways to be included: If I'm cooking, she comes over to smell every ingredient. If I'm gaming, she comes to sit on my lap. If I go to the toilet… well, if you're a cat pawrent too, you know.

Since the height of the weekend is here, I thought it could be most purrfect for all cat pawrents to take this free time to scroll through some cat memes with their cats, as I do on weekends. And what a joy would it be if the cat memes were weekend-themed? Absolute chill and cat joy, I tell you. That's exactly what we have here. Just pspsps your cat over here and spend some time together enjoying cat humor with the relaxation of a weekend. Relax, reset, recharge, and spend time with your cat. I can't think of a more perfect way to spend a weekend.

Stray cat chooses neighborhood dog during his daily walks, the two become best friends and dog owner decides to give the little kitty her furrever home

Briana Viser — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 13:45:00 -0700

We all need a friend, even cats and dogs. And despite the belief that they can't be friends, this is the purrfect proof that you can't judge a book by it's cover, and that friendship comes in many forms.

Friendship really is the crux of human connection in many ways. Family is so important and no one denies that, but they're important because of biology, because of obligation in a way, because of an innate feeling of belonging due to our shared genetics. But friends are the ones we choose, the ones we want to be in our lives and the ones who make us feel seen, who make us feel loved, and who make us feel apart of a community. A friendship love can be just as strong as a relationship, it's just different. Of course, with a romantic relationship there are intimacies that we don't experience with friends, but with friends there are also intimacies we don't experience with our partners. A shared humor, a person who's looking out for you, someone you can go to and complain about anything without judgement.

And in this story friendship is the main character. A woman walks her dog everyday in the neighborhood. A stray cat follows him around and over time the two bond in a way that no one saw coming. From sniffing each other, to playing and rubbing against each other with love, the unlikely pair of friends are now best friends. And since the dog owner can see how important they are for each other, she decides to adopt the little girl and give her a furrever home despite never owning a cat. Read the wholesome story below.

A Fairytale Autumn of Fall Foliage and Feline Funnies

Briana Viser — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 12:00:00 -0700

Autumn is the season of wonder, whimsy, mystery, and transition. It's just like a fairytale, with the changing of the leave's colors, the desire to get lost in a forest, and the coziness of it all. Enjoy these feline funnies of fall foliage for a fairytale autumn.

Fairytales aren't just for kids. As adults, we can always make our own fairytale adventures. Cats love it too. They're purrfectly suited to match the magic of fall. They love the cold weather so they have more of an excuse to be as introverted as they are. They love getting wrapped up in a blanket and just enjoying the cold weather outside, as if they're in a storybook. Cats have always carried a little mystery with them. Their glowing eyes against a backdrop, and their overall sense of lore. So enjoy these feline funnies of fall foliage in a fairytale autumn.

24 Cutest Kittens of the Week Committing the Tiniest Little Crimes of Cuteness

Mariel Ruvinsky — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 11:15:00 -0700

Is there anything cuter in the world than an itty bitty kitten?

Some people, no matter how hard you argue with them, insist that they hate cats. But we don't believe them. They may think that they hate cats, but they simply have not met the right cat yet. We know for a fact that each and every one of these so-called "cat haters" has posted or liked at least one cat meme in their lifetime. We know that they have pawsed to look at at least one picture of a cute or unique cat online. We know because everyone does it. There is a reason why cats rule the internet with an iron paw the way that they do. There is a reason why no one will ever dethrone them. And that reason is that cats are irresistibly cute. But these people will insist. They will pretend. So, if your goal ios is to try to get them to admit to themselves that they like cats, show them this collection of itty bitty kitties, and watch them melt.

24 Cute Cat Memes to Cozy Up With This Silly Spooky Season

Mariel Ruvinsky — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 10:30:00 -0700

Every spooky season must start with some spooktacular cat memes.

Oh, yes, we're finally here. It's only a moment away from one of our favorite holidays. Pumpkin spice everything everywhere, spooky decorations in every store on every corner, and being able to dress up our cats in costumes that they will wear for exactly 30 seconds before tearing them off themselves. It's amazing. Combine that with the fact that the weather is finally nice enough for our cats to be cuddly again, and we cannot think of anything better. But there is one thing. There is a single thing that makes any and every moment better than before, and that is, obviously, a quality collection of cat memes. Something pure and positive and wholesome to sit down with and enjoy without worry and without drama. And hey, maybe looking through these memes is going to help the time pass a little faster, and spooky season will be here just that tiny bit sooner.

Baby stray kitten disappears inside her house and cat sitter can't find her anywhere, so her human returns from a work trip and finds her trapped in an air vent: 'She's for sure still mad but at least she's home now'

Celeste Mello — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 09:45:00 -0700

Getting a message that your cat sitter can't find your cat would make it difficult to think about anything else.

Let me tell you the story of what happened to this kitty who found a hole and, like any curious cat, decided to investigate. She never expected that she would end up trapped there for three days.

This cat owner was away for work when his kitty went missing, and I imagine trying to understand what happened over the phone while being far away must be difficult. Being told she disappeared inside your house at least gives you a starting point, but it doesn't tell you if she's safe. So he takes the first flight back home to look for her himself, and he discovers her inside an air vent. He follows the meows… and then there she is, tucked inside the vent. She doesn't look grateful or glad she is finally safe. Poor kitty must have her own feelings about being trapped for three days there. Anyway, the most reassuring part is that they are together again.

Hilariously Hangry Cats Making a Purrfectly Convincing Case for Another Scoop of Kibble

Sarah Brown — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 08:00:00 -0700

BREAKING MEWS: Local cat hasn't eaten in approximately 12 minutes and is now facing a severe hunger crisis after spotting the bottom of their food bowl.

There is no greater tragedy in a cat's life than looking down at their food bowl and discovering a tiny patch of ceramic. Never mind that there's still a perfectly good pile of kibble sitting around the edges. If the center is empty, the bowl is empty, and their human has some serious explaining to do.

Cats have a remarkable ability to convince themselves they're starving approximately seven minutes after their last meal. They'll follow you around the house, scream at the kitchen cabinets, and stare into your soul until you finally investigate the emergency. Only to discover that their bowl is, in fact, still half full. Apparently, the food has simply become inedible because it's not arranged to their liking. How dare you expect royalty to eat leftovers from the side of the bowl?

And don't even think about walking past the food cupboard without opening it. Your feline has been monitoring your every move, and the slightest indication that another meal might be coming is enough to send them into a full-blown meowing frenzy. Suddenly, they're rubbing against your legs, putting on their sweetest little face, and acting like they haven't eaten since last Tuesday.

You can refill their bowl, watch them take approximately three bites, and then see them wander off like they weren't just campaigning for emergency food assistance. It was never about being hungry. It was about making sure the kibble supply remained at an acceptable level.

Being a pawrent means accepting that no amount of food will ever be enough for your tiny, furry food critic. One visible patch of bowl is all it takes to turn an ordinary afternoon into a feline hunger crisis. And naturally, you're always the one to blame.

‘It was like something clicked’: Formerly fearful orange cat surprises his pawrents with a major breakthrough after 6 months of patience and finally discovers the joy of cuddles

Sarah Brown — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 07:15:00 -0700

Some cats need a little extra time to figure out that humans can actually be pretty pawsome, and Cheddar has been taking that journey entirely at his own pace.

Cheddar and his sister Wensleydale were adopted at around 6 or 7 months old after a rough start. The siblings were underweight, undersocialized, and so frightened of people that their new pawrents could barely touch them. They spent almost two months getting comfortable in one room before they were ready to explore the rest of the house.

Six months later, both kitties have made huge strides. Wensleydale has become a certified cuddle bug who enjoys snuggling and being held. Cheddar, however, has been a little more cautious. He loves pets, but being picked up? Absolutely not. Laps? No, thank you. The couch? For months, also a firm no.

Recently, though, Cheddar started testing the waters. He began joining his humans on the couch and even lying beside them, although touching was still apparently a step too far. For a kitty who once wanted plenty of space between himself and humans, even that was a pretty huge win.

Then one morning, everything changed.

Cheddar spotted his pawrent lying in bed from his window perch. After she asked if he wanted to come over, the formerly fearful feline took a leap of faith… literally. He launched himself onto the bed, charged across her husband, and climbed right onto her chest.

And once Cheddar discovered bed cuddles, he went all in. He climbed over his humans, curled up on his pawrent's legs, groomed himself while lying against her, purred, drooled, made enthusiastic biscuits, and even smashed his face into her sleeping husband's face. You know, normal cat affection.

For a kitty who had never willingly climbed onto a person before, this wasn't just a cuddle session. It was six months of patience finally paying off in the sweetest possible way.

A Floof of Fuzzy Feline Kittens Purrfect For Turning a Dreary Day Into a Wholesomely Heartwarming Daydream

Blake Seidel — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 06:30:00 -0700

Don't you think the world would be a much nicer place if everyone got to play in a pile of kittens every day?

There are certain things on this planet that not even the most cold-hearted people can resist. A hot cup of coffee on a rainy, dreary day, the smell of fresh pizza when you're starving, and playful baby animals. The other two are dependent on the environment or your physical state, but baby animals make us smile no matter where we are or how we feel. We're biologically driven to awww over them. Their big, round eyes and tiny faces, and their high-pitched voices just scream at our pawrental instincts to care for them. This happens to all hoomans for most animals, but for us, it's especially strong with baby kittens.

If I were president, I would make it mandatory for everyone to play with a pile of kittens for at least five minutes every day. Think of how much better your days would be if you had that to look forward to! 5 minutes of pure joy, of happiness and tiny meows (and claws), of holding babies in your hands and getting their sweet kisses in return. You'd have to drag me out of there after 5 minutes because I would never want to leave.

As the weather gets drearier, rainier, and grayer, it's impurrtant to know what you can do to keep your spirits up as everything gets darker. For us, it's scrolling through cute kittens like the ones I've gathered below. Just looking at them is enough to turn the worst day into a wholesomely heartwarming daydream filled with kitty cuteness overload and feline love. With the way the weather is going right now, I might end up scrolling through these cuties every day! But, if that's the worst thing I do all day to make myself feel better, then I think I'm doing pretty okay.

'Possessed by Sauron': Rare Black Cat Looks Like an Evil Tolkien Character Obsessed With Becoming the Lord of the Rings

Blake Seidel — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 05:45:00 -0700

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. Or, in this cat's case, one cardboard box!

I've seen my fair share of unique and rare cats. It's something of a specialty of mine here at I Can Has Cheezburger. I love searching for the strangest-looking felines from the deepest, darkest corners of the internet. It's getting harder now, with generative AI getting more and more realistic, but I still stand proud as an authority on this very impurrtant issue. Usually, I focus on cats with unique fur patterns or rare coat colors, but today, I've found a cat with one purrticular feature that stands out amongst the rest. It also just so happens to look evil.

Triton, our void cat below, has two completely different colored eyes. Now, normally, this wouldn't be so meowtrageous, as there are quite a few cats with heterochromia already. It's more common in white cats, but there are instances of cats of all coats and colors being born with different colored eyes. The weird thing about Triton though, is that he wasn't born this way - his right eye changed color over time. One day, he woke up with a dark gold patch in his eye, which eventually spread to take over his whole eye.

Don't worry, Triton has been to a few vets, and they've all given him a clean bill of health. The only fear we have now is that he's been possessed by Sauron. His eye reminds us so much of that stunning visual of Sauron's eye from the tower in Mordor that we can't help but have a craving for Lembas bread for second breakfast.

Luckily, Triton hasn't tried to take over the world (yet), but he does take over every cardboard box in sight. As long as he doesn't start amassing a horde of Uruk-hai, I think we're safe. There's only room for one lord of the rings, and he belongs safely in a J.R.R. Tolkien book.

Cat lover adopts 20 stray cats and spoils them by building a nightclub and tunnel maze at home, turning his garage into a feline paradise: 'Adopted all 20 of them'

Celeste Mello — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 04:00:00 -0700

If I were one of these 20 kittens, I would feel like a kid in an amusement park designed just for me. I would explore everything whenever I want, as many times as I want. Well, what this human did is not that different. He spoils his cats by building a cat paradise in his own garage and planning exciting adventures for them every day.

I thought buying my cat a second bed was generous. Now I see there are cat owners who build nightclubs and tunnel mazes for their cats. I would like to know the dress code for that party. Does anyone arrive late because they were napping? I wonder whether the 20 guests can bring catnip, and who has been put in charge of keeping everyone off the DJ equipment. With 20 cats attending the party, somebody is definitely going to knock something over. And I suspect the human has little authority over that party.

Their human adopted all 20 of them and built them the kind of setup that makes an ordinary scratching post seem like an unfinished gift. These kittens have a colorful tunnel maze to explore and a garage turned into a cat paradise, with high things they can climb and posts they can scratch. They enjoy different activities organized by their human, like a nightclub and a fighting tournament. All of this is happening at home. Imagine being one of them and being able to play all day long in that field of adventures. And imagine visiting this cat owner and asking if you can park in the garage, only to then learn that it is occupied by an entire cat community that's throwing a party tonight.

These cats also receive lots of treats, and one of them is a rotisserie chicken cake. That sounds like something my cat would remember forever. If I were them, I would be so amazed by this cake that I would find regular food boring after that glorious event.

I love seeing the love and effort this cat lover puts into making their days more exciting. Imagine your house is a playground with places to investigate, corners to peek around, and different activities every day filled with treats and more toys. These cats are living their best lives! Please invite me.

‘Possibly the loudest meows I’ve ever heard’: 6-week-old kitten screams until the right human hears her and scores a ride to safety in a protein shake box

Sarah Brown — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 16:00:00 -0700

One minute you're heading home after dinner. The next, you're figuring out how to transport a kitten in a box of protein shakes.

One pawrent-to-be was walking back to their car when they heard what they described as possibly the loudest meows they'd ever heard. Following the tiny cries led them to a little kitten all by herself, with no mom or siblings anywhere to be seen or heard. After some careful coaxing, they managed to get close enough to scoop up the tiny girl and bring her somewhere safe.

There was just one small problem. They weren't exactly prepared for a surprise kitten rescue. With no carrier handy, the little feline got chauffeured home in the only available option, a box of protein shakes. Considering surprise kitten deliveries don't exactly come with advance notice, we'd call that some pretty impressive improvisation.

Once home, the approximately 6-to-8-week-old kitten got her own bathroom suite for the night. After calling an emergency vet for advice, her rescuer set her up with wet food mixed with warm water, fresh water, a litter box, and blankets until they could get her to their regular vet the next day. The teeny girl weighed only around a pound and a half, although getting an accurate number apparently involved quite the wrestling match. Smol but mighty indeed.

Meanwhile, the resident adult cat is reportedly "very weirded out" by the unexpected arrival. Fair enough. Imagine going about your evening only for your human to return from dinner carrying a screaming kitten in a protein shake box.

What started as a completely ordinary walk to the car ended with one tiny feline getting food, warmth, and a safe place to sleep. Talk about being in the right place at exactly the right meowment.

'How this little kitten survived 24 hours under the car and traveling at 70+ mpg speeds is beyond me': Resilient kitten escapes from country fair and finds his furrever home

Briana Viser — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 14:30:00 -0700

An escapee! Better catch this kitty while he's hot!

This is from the story of a 44 year old man who's never owned a cat. How did he get to be 44 without having a feline companion? Well, that's just for everyone to find out in the story below. His son calls him and says he saw a kitten in the road down the street on his way to school. It was on the road and when he got out to grab the kitten, it ran under his car. He thought the kitten went under his car and out the other side, without realizing that the kitten didn't leave. It was in a field right next to a country fair. He drove to school like normal, and went on freeways and everything. The next morning his wife takes the dog outside for a walk and hears a kitten crying. It's coming from the car!

They both crawled on their backs under the car and saw the tiny kitten staring at them. A sweet kitten face. They're in utter shock as to how the kitten survived under the car for so long, but he must be a fighter, a tough guy, and resilient to life's tumults. They decide to take the kitten in, and know they've been touched by the cat distribution system. Enjoy this story, and remember that even little kittens can be tougher than they look. Looks can be deceiving, so don't judge a book by its cover.

'Long live the feline king' cat memes for hoomans who serve the royal meowjesty

Briana Viser — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 13:45:00 -0700

Long live the king! The feline king that is. Cats are basically royalty, and we all basically worship them. There's nothing wrong with that, so you might as well embrace it with these feline king memes for proper cat worship.

Cats have been worshiped since the ancient Egyptian times. But it's not just the Egyptians, cats are also regarded as protectors of the home for ancient Chinese Feng Shui. These days, their reputation still holds up; they're still worshipped, they're still protectors of the home, and they even made it to the big screen. Cats are infamous across internet platforms. There's nowhere the internet touches where cats aren't there. Take this website as an example, it's an entire site dedicated to cats! People can't get enough of cats, and they will always be cats. They have certain qualities that just are absolutely specific to them. There's no reason not to worship them, and they'll settle for nothing less. Cats are known for being highly unimpressed with anything and everything, and they won't accept any other treatment besides royal treatment. We all know they rule the house, we might as well embrace it. Here are feline king memes for hoomans like ourselves who can't help but worship cats.

24 Fluffy and Friendly Cats and Dogs for a Fun and Furry Break

Melissa Knudson — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 12:30:00 -0700

Fighting like cats and dogs? More like cuddling like cats and dogs.

We've all heard the old myth: cats and dogs are opposites; they don't mix. In fact, they made us believe that cats and dogs couldn't even exist in the same room. Sworn enemies, epic opponents. The tales went as far as transforming into excellent animated TV shows that made us laugh on weekend mornings. An epic battle that has lasted ages. An unmatchable confrontation as classic as water and oil. Or…so we thought.

The tables have turned, and old beliefs will be debunked. Once again, we have been tricked by the wonders of animation, because when it comes to cats and dogs, as it turns out, they are both very friendly animals (unexpectedly, between each other). Yes, it's true that now and then you'll meet a dog that is not exactly a declared fan of cats, probably even got persecuted by one at some point. Basically, the victim of a horror movie in which the villain has lots of fur, infinite appetite, and triangular ears. Because of that one dog, you might now be convinced that cats and dogs simply cannot coexist. Well, I wouldn't stand on that hill if I were you, because we have come to prove you wrong.

Get your "awwws" ready and your "cutieees" too, because this collection of dog - cat moments has come to completely make you melt with endearment. For once, you don't have to choose. No more "are you more a cat person or a dog person?" Because today, you get to be both. This is the real definition of getting the best of both worlds, but even better than Hannah Montana's life.

In a way, these pictures will encourage you to make peace with anyone in your life that you thought you couldn't get along with. Take these furry friends as examples: not only can they live with each other, but they can cuddle and purr too. One after the other, they will restore your faith in friendship and finally convince your exceptional roommate that having both a cat and a dog as pets is not that crazy. Be the olive branch that brings everyone together. Even better, be the cute internet picture collection that brings peace and rainbows to all.

'My cat is forever a kitten': Cat is born tiny and never grows bigger but proves you don't need to be big to have a huge personality that keeps all the big cats in line

Mariel Ruvinsky — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 12:00:00 -0700

What if your cat's kitten phase lasted forever?

There is nothing in the world as cute as kittens. And that's not just me saying it. The whole world agrees on this. It may be the one and only thing we all agree on. We see it online. No matter where you are from, how old you are, what your opinions about the universe are, one thing is always true, and that is that you will like a cat meme at least once. Cats rule the internet for a reason, and itty-bitty kittens have that extra special charm.

We always tell people to cherish the kitten phase. It's short. It'll be gone before you know it. Right now, your kitten may fit in the palm of your hand, but you will blink once, and suddenly, your cat will be so chonky, there will barely be room for her on your lap. Yes, I'm talking about my cat, Mia. I love her so much, but she was small for a very short period of time. Unlike the kitten in today's story. Not a kitten, actually. The cat in this story is a fully grown cat. She simply has a condition that will keep her kitten-sized forever.

Your Weekly Meowgazine: 20 ICanHasMoments to Make Your Caturday Feel Like a Cozy Fall Day (October 3, 2026)

Another Caturday is finally here, but before we get to all of the important activities of the day - like napping and snacking and then napping some more, we have one responsibility that we cannot ignore. That's what the weekly ICHC meowgazine is for. Here, we put together the best of the best - the best cat memes, the most viral cat Tweets, the stories and news about cats that people couldn't stop talking about. 'Well I foster failed': Person thinks they're only fostering a kitten, but their cat adopts her and shows them that the kitten is already where she belongs

Mariel Ruvinsky — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 10:30:00 -0700

The human never has the final say when adopting a cat. It is always the cat's choice in the end.

Foster failing is common for a reason. And yes, it is in part because cats are adorable, and once you live with a cat and you see that adorableness every single day, it's hard to give that up. But more so than that is something else. And every cat owner knows this. Cats adopt their humans, not the other way around. That is a fact, not a theory. Cats walk up to you and adopt you on the street. Cats walk directly into your house. Cats will jump in front of your cat to get you to adopt them. And even if you are someone who walked into a shelter with the express intention of adopting a cat, then still, there was that one cat that you had a connection with like none of the other cats. That one cat that was special, that was purrfect. You probably could have chosen any of the cats there, but that was the cat that chose you.

And the best part? Cats choose their humans, yes, but sometimes cats can also choose another cat. That is one of the dangers of fostering cats when you already have cats, and that is something that the person in today's story learned the hard way. You may be content with the cat you have. You may be able to resist the meowgic of the kitten you're fostering. But that doesn't mean that your cat can. And once a cat chooses…

Pawdorable Purritos Looking Cozy and Fluffing Their Way Into a Furry Weekend

Giuliana Tiscioni — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 09:45:00 -0700

If you guys get hungry, there are some purritos in the fridge so you can eat them up!

The best part about being cat pawrents is that if you ever get bored, you can make your cats look even more pawdorable than they are. You can put them in little costumes if they don't run away, and if they are small enough and still malleable, you can wrap them up and turn them into a cozy purrito for dinner!

Seeing our little furbabies in their cozy kitty cocoons is the most heartwarming and wholesome part of our day, and of our week, really. There are few things that can surpass the cozy feeling of a kitten all curled up beside us on a cool night in October. We desperately need those warm and relaxing moments with our pets after a long day of being overworked and tired. The fact of seeing them alone changes our whole mood and disposition. They are the very foundation of our emotional support, and they don't even know that! They go through their lives thinking that us hoomans are too clingy towards them, and if they could talk, they would probably say, "Leave me alone, Karen," more times in a day than the number of times we drink water. Really, we're getting a little dehydrated; we need to drink more water.

Anyway, back to our furballs looking all pretty and purrfect in their little cozy blankets. They are the sole purrpose of our existence, and our single source of furry feline happiness. And today is no exception, since we have a collection of kitten photos all wrapped in cozy blankets and getting ready for bedtime along with their hoomans in desperate need of a dose of cozy rest. We hope these purritos make your heart warm and your smile spread wider.
