cyberduck - the freeware ftp client - has been updated to 3.0.3. take a look at cyberduck.ch. cyberduck requires 10.4 or later. (i really wonder, why it's not in my list of 'great free- and shareware???)

one of the best apps for the iphone has been updated to version 1.2. if you havent tried things before, be sure you take a look at it - if you're somehow into getting some things done. iphone applications at itunes.com!...

not the internet explorer - me was blinded by routine! now i've found a solution to serve the icons to all the people dropping in with the bad browser. quick and dirty - but at least ie users are now able to download what they're here for. my icons.

did you know: all versions of mac os x (cheeta == gepard (in german) [10.0], puma [10.1], jaguar [10.2], panther [10.3], tiger [10.4], leopard [10.5]) have the same codenames as lethal weapons (mostly tanks (panzer)) have/had. snow leopard [10.6] will be the first exemption.

tip: how to clean the scrolling nipple.

this is a tip on how to clean the scrollball of a mighty mouse. without disassembling, without moistured tissues. simply use a sheet of paper and rub the 'nipple' heavily across the paper. i've tested it and it works perfect.

this tip has it's origin at blogsurdum. that made my (sun)day (so far). thanks a lot michael (he's also the author of some very interesting little apps, that can be found here at myownapp.com.

i finished the changes - hope this version of icontoaster works better now on older machines and small/tiny displays. drop me a comment if you encounter any problems (except the 'my internet explorer does not work with your site' stuff).

some of you asked me to bring back the old design and layout. my answer was, is and will be: no. as long it's related to the design there will be definitely no 'roll back'. but (and here it's again) i will change the layout in some way. no more fixed, overlaying parts.

it looks cool on a big screen - but it's awfull to use on a small display (e.g. macbook) and it's quite a disaster on those really tiny screens (e.g. iphone, ipod touch). on old machines icontoaster scrolls really slow - especially when your using firefox on a vintage machine (those macs with a g3 or g4 cpu clocked below 1 ghz).

i really like my imac but the glossy display is billshut and for me a reason not to buy a macbook. now apple does the same #*!# with the macbook pro: no matte displays available, not even as an option. a glossy display makes the mbp the perfect companion for a shave on the run, but it is absolutely obsolete if you buy a mbp to work with it outside at day.

feel free to sign the online petition to get back macbooks pro with matte displays...
