Investing in Ireland - Sky to Create over 800 New Jobs in Dublin

Sky, Ireland’s most popular digital TV provider, is to create more than 800 new jobs in Dublin over the next two years as it opens a new customer service centre to meet increased service demands from Irish customers. The new centre will open in August 2012 in Burlington Plaza, located in Dublin city centre, and will enable Sky to serve its Irish customers from one dedicated site for the first time.

New €1m energy research projects as part of government-supported centre

IDA welcomes Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland’s $350 million expansion

Westport, Co. Mayo, IDA Ireland today (Monday January 9th, 2012), welcomed the announcement by Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland that it is to invest $350 million in its Westport operation to expand both its development and manufacturing capabilities. The expansion will result in the creation of approximately 200 new jobs at the site over the next four years and an estimated 250 indirect jobs locally, during the construction period. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland.
