Pentax Pearl i-10 and post-processed with Adobe Photoshop CS5

One of my goals for the upcoming fall semester (and hopefully, carried out for the entire birthday year) is to begin a daily photography a ‘day blog to refresh my composition skills.

However, I’m still daunted at the thought of uploading to my stream daily in an endless flow of updates, so I will likely be uploading to a separate section within my idleglory domain. Hopefully a weekly photo on flickr with a corresponding link will satisfy your curiosity.

I’ve restarted to venture out on photowalk trips in explored sections of the little city again over the weekend. Feeling a little blue, I couldn’t help but reminscient of photowalks with my friend Ash three years ago on a similar hot, august lazy afternoon with our cameras in hand and brimful of curiosity and idealism.

Despite our age difference of two years, and a recent rendezvous in Portland, Oregon during the month o’ April, I still miss him very, very much since he moved away from the little city of Vancouver. He’s travelled through Europe and Jerusalem after his university graduation, and later exploring the USA before hopping to New Zealand for a year or two.

He’s now switched from the digital dslr totting days of our youth to analogue SLR’s and film cameras, yet his eye for street photography is one of his most impressive characteristics: I have always noticed something his photos that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
