I guess this is going to be the start of a collection. Mumu and I have plans of purchasing more instant cameras. Then maybe soon, we’ll venture into other film cameras.

I’ll be back after a week. Well, I dunno what to expect yet when I get back. I’m actually not totally unemployed. I’m just waiting for my start date in my next company. Until then, I guess the HR block coupon won’t be of any use to me right now. I’ll just have to enjoy my temporary bum life!

This kind of excitement may be like those of mothers getting Mother’s Day gift baskets delivered to their doorsteps.

We tried the VIP Fish Spa first. There were two comfortable seats (for two people, of course), and the included malunggay tea with cucumber, grenadine, and calamansi was refreshing!

We transferred to the bigger therafish for the Classic Fish Spa minutes after. We tried the smaller ones, too, for finishing.

After the fish spa, we were given the choices of foot reflexology and half-body massage. We went for the latter one. The masseurs are blind, which is cool because, for me, they’re better at massaging than those with normal vision. I’ve already tried whole body massages with both the blind and the normal-visioned people, so I can compare.

Overall, the experience was relaxing and fun (just like bathing with Adovia dead sea salt), especially when you go there with friends. I’ll be back there for sure since their packages are just at the right price and the place is very much accessible.

Every year since 2006, Gawad Kalinga has staged the GK Bayani Challenge, a 5-day test of courage, endurance and love for country. Teams of 15 people go on an adventure to plant hope on ground by building communities and fostering friendships that are critical to nation-building.

The urgent call of building this nation will be answered once again this April 9-14. This year’s Bayani Challenge will gather volunteers not only in one but in FIVE provinces around the country. “PILIPINAS, NGAYON NA!” will challenge more volunteers to change lives, bring hope to others, and build sustainable communities in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Masbate, Mindoro Occidental, and two areas in Negros Oriental (Dumaguete and Amlan). Build an actual home for a family and experience everything from laying the foundation, attaching the roof, painting the walls, and landscaping.

• Bayanihan Race. Teams will compete in a unique race around the island.
• Master Kusinero. The team that cooks the best dish using an endemic ingredient from the island will be rewarded.
• Concert. At the end of the Bayani Challenge, we will celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime experience through a culminating activity that will feature bands and other exciting surprises.

With necklaces, I don’t think I have a problem, though. But earrings, nahh. My ears would become itchy, too, unless it’s gold or I dunno. Plastic, silver, and maybe all others would cause allergies. Too bad. I would’ve wanted to try some sterling silver jewelry. I don’t know if they would look good on me, but they look good on their own. Maybe they can make people look better? Haha.
