What to Watch on IFC in November

Premiering November 24th on IFC, join master chef Sam Mason on "Dinner With The Band" as he invites his favorite touring bands to a Brooklyn loft for an intimate evening of cooking, conversation, and live performance. Part rocker, part chef, Mason creates "intellectual food" that stimulates the palate as well as the dialogue. "Dinner With The Band" begins airing Tuesday, 11/24 @ 11pm E/10pm C in the Automat. This Thanksgiving Day, IFC will be running an all day marathon of films that celebrate food, family, excessive behavior and outrageous comedy. The fun starts at 7:30 am with "The Castle" and continues with "Bananas," "The Full Monty," "Raising Arizona," "Sleeper," "Super Troopers," "A Fish Called Wanda" and an extra helping of the IFC Original Series "Food Party." To see a full listing of all the films and shows on IFC this month, please visit the full schedule.
"Arrested Development" Arrives on IFC

"I'm doing the time... of my life!" "Arrested Development" is coming to IFC -- yes, all three seasons of the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning comedy series. We'll be launching the show on Sunday, October 25 at 10pm, and from there will be airing two episodes back-to-back, Sundays at 10pm, and Tuesdays at 9pm in the Automat. Created by the Academy Award-winning team of Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, "Arrested Development" stars an ensemble cast led by Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Henry Winkler, Jeffrey Tambor, Will Arnett, Jessica Walter and Portia de Rossi. The show, which originally aired on FOX from 2003-2006, follows the Bluths, a formerly wealthy, habitually dysfunctional family and is presented in a pseudo-documentary format, incorporating hand-held camera work, narration, archival photos and historical footage. "Arrested Development" earned itself a spot on Time Magazine's 100 Greatest Shows of all time list.
Monty Python fans are going to love this month on IFC. And if you're not a Python fan, get the hell out! Just kidding -- now is a good time to introduce yourself to the troupe that defined comedy. Beginning October 18th, tune in for a six-day Python-a-thon, including the premiere of the IFC original doc "Monty Python: Almost the Truth, The Lawyer's Cut," a series highlighting the rise of the famed comedy team, and features interviews with all the surviving Pythons as well as SNL mastermind Lorne Michaels, Jimmy Fallon, Russell Brand and many more. And all week long, catch an original Python film including "The Life of Brian," "Live at the Hollywood Bowl," and the classic "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Also in the mix is the sketch comedy series "Monty Python's Flying Circus," which airs all week, as well as Mondays at 7:30pm and Fridays at...

What to Watch on IFC in September

This Labor Day, as you kick back on a well-deserved day off, tune in for films featuring people who are actually doing some work. Beginning at 7am, catch "Pizza," featuring a delivery boy who takes on the extra task of making an unpopular girl's birthday worthwhile. Then, check out "Shattered Glass," a true story about the dirty side of journalism, and "Rogue Trader," with Ewan McGregor as a banker who tries to move up the ladder but ends up taking it down with him. You'll never look at fast food the same after glimpsing what goes on behind the counter in "Fast Food Nation." For a lesson in workplace etiquette, don't miss "Office Space" or "Secretary," which is about the kind of relationship you really shouldn't have with your boss. We've re-named the month of September "Sketchtember" here at IFC to help you get over the official end of summer....

Tune in August 6, 7, and 8 at 10pm as Kattan travels to India, learning about the culture as well as the hardships of making it in the largest film industry in the world. Special guest appearances include Keanu Reeves, fellow SNL alum Maya Rudolph, David Alan Grier, Jennifer Coolidge and many more.
What to Watch on IFC in July

Every Monday and Wednesday this month, beginning at midnight, IFC is blending musical performances with indie film. Tune in for films inspired by rock n' roll, including "Last Days," directed by Gus Van Sant and loosely based on the death of Kurt Cobain. You can also catch "Festival Express," a rockumentary featuring amazing performances from some of the music industry's most influential names, including Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead. Also on the ticket, the Beatles classic "A Hard Day's Night," Australian import "Starstruck" and "Wild Man Blues," a doc about Woody Allen and his love for jazz. If you've ever wanted to know how a record company starts (and ends) from the bottom up, you have to see "24 Hour Party People," a deliriously good chronicle of the rise of Manchester's Factory Records and the scene that spawned the likes of New Order and the Happy Mondays. The party...

Chris Kattan, Bollywood Hero

Here's a first look at our brand new mini-series "Bollywood Hero"! "Bollywood Hero" is a three-night Bollywood musical event starring Chris Kattan that will premiere on IFC August 6, 7 and 8 at 10pm ET/PT. Kattan plays himself, sort of, in this scripted comedy -- tired of being rejected as a leading-man in Hollywood, he burns his professional bridges in L.A. and accepts a starring role in the Bollywood film "Peculiar Dancing Boy." Fresh off the plane, he's flung into a world of sibling rivalry, cultural faux pas, funding issues and power hungry starlets. In his quest to become Bollywood's leading leading man, Kattan unexpectedly finds a great dance instructor, trawls India's countryside for his co-star, falls in love and ultimately fulfills dreams he never even imagined. Facing culture clashes, language barriers and complex dance moves, Kattan will stop at nothing to conquer his destiny. Filmed over ten weeks on...

IFC America's Hottest Rocker Mom Contest-The Results

Though the forecast called for rain on June 3rd in the skies over Manhattan, the Gods of Metal and Rock persuaded Thor to stay his hammer so the IFC could host the America's Hottest Rocker Mom contest in Madison Square Park, NYC. After receiving hundreds of worthy submissions, the five finalists chosen were Kat Everson from Beverly Hills, CA; Natalie Hawkins of Conroe, TX; Shawna Owens from Cadalle, MI; Debra Diamant of Los Angeles, CA and Valerie Nerres from Las Vegas, NV. The event was a spectacle to behold. The distinguished panel of judges included stars Sebastian Bach, Constantine Maroulis, Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of NYC and the stars of Z Rock; Paulie Z, David Z and Joey of ZO2. Under the orchestrations of host Eddie Trunk, the finalists competed in four categories to determine who would claim the title. The Heavy Metal Moms were first judged on...

What to Watch on IFC in June

June is one busy month here at IFC. For starters, beginning Sunday, June 7th, our comedy series "Z Rock" make its rockin' return, with the ZO2 boys up to more antics at daytime kiddie parties and nightly rock gigs. And look out for numerous guest appearances, including American Idol alum-turned-Tony Award nominee (for his leading role in Broadway's "Rock of Ages") Constantine Maroulis, Frank Stallone, the hottest of real housewives Bethenny Frankel, along with recurrent stints from Dave Navarro, John Popper, Dee Snider and Joan Rivers, and much more. The show airs Sundays at 11e/p. Along with the return of "Z Rock," we're got a brand new Brit comedy that'll leave you feeling mighty, erm, high. "Ideal" follows Moz, who's just your average small-time shut-in hash dealer living in a run-down flat with his girlfriend and trying to get by. On a daily basis, Moz has to deal with an...

Dash Shaw comes to IFC.com

We hope you've gotten a chance to check out our latest web series "Like So Many Things...," and we're excited to be able to introduce a new web series that will premiere here on IFC.com in November. It's called "The Unclothed Man in the 35th Century A.D.," and it's an original animated web series based on graphic novelist and comic book artist Dash Shaw's latest book, which is also set for release mid-November. We're huge fans of Shaw's work, which has been widely praised for its eclectic style, innovative design and emotional depth, and we're happy to be able to bring his work to IFC.com. The five-part web series chronicles the adventures of Rebel X-6, a man who works for a well-funded anti-droid organization in the not-so-near future. An artist guild that opposes the use of droids in art class hires Rebel X-6 to enter Art School 46 posing as...
