I looked for everywhere on the App Store, but without any track…disappeared totally.
Apple censored it. The reason: the title of the application was too long. The problem was that Apple changed the rule of iTunesConnect without any notification, and the title of the application was not editable as earlier. So it was a one way road, the title was really long but I couldn’t edit it. So I have to upload a new version, but the submission process was so long again, that Apple couldn’t wait until the new version is available on the Store, and deleted the original one. And ooops, I have no application, I have no any sales. I am out of the paradise! I have to wait 3 weeks until the new version is on sale again, but now I have to start my exhausted work again and push up the application back to the first 100. I hope I could do it soon.

It’s really amazing how iFlipflow delivers the figures, and now it’s in the top league in the US AppStore rank but even anywhere else worldwide. Even the sales data of iFlipflow lite is really better than expected even it’s purpose was just giving a strong support for the sales of the full version. After this very successful startup and some cool marketing lessons we learnt from the introduction phase of iFlipflow it’s time to go one step forward and start the second phase of our marketing strategy. It will mean some new applications with more targeted approach toward the core target group of the specific application, and some very new effects which could push iFlipflow to higher levels. Meantime we are working on the iPhone OS 3.0 version, which again another story. So if people like so much iFlipflow we are enthusiastic enough to push the envelope as hard as possible. Let’s flow!

The new upgrade pushed iFlipflow to the top 20 on the AppStore lists worldwide. The best download figures came from France (17) (maybe the Eiffel Tower :) ), Great Britain(20), Japan(7), Canada (18) and of course from the most important market: USA (20). The ranks change daily, but the trend is really positive. The next upgrade will be a major upgrade. The new version could download new pictures and new effects immediately as it is available, no need to upgrade the application for the new ones. The upgrade is free for all of our users.

There are 6 new photos (mainly nice girls), and two new effects. The “Shower” is really funny, one of our favorite. The “Parisian night” the other one with the Eiffel tower. We are No 9 in Japan, No24 in France, No 17 Italy and No 53 in the US Store after just 1 week. It’s quite a positive surprise. It’s a promising start even without any special marketing activity. Of course we will start to support the sales by some marketing efforts and we hope it will land everywhere in the first 20.

Clearly the effect is the good old action pen with the classic “undressed woman”. But it’s just the starting point. Behind iFlipflow there is a special engine which could generate a lot of effect based on the idea of moving picture or part of a picture. At first we started with the current solution (1.0 version) to avoid any difficulties during the approval process of Apple. But we are ready for the upgrade, which is free of course for all our kind customers.

Our aim was to make something which could be sexy but with a style, as the iPhone! We’d like to target a broad range of ages even the youngest generation.

Our plan to publish regularly new “funny stuffs” or pictures, and make available for designers and graphic artists or any creative people to develop new effects and beautiful moving pictures.

After the first trials we had to realize that the iFlipflow engine is so versatile and so customizable that potential and the number of possible variations is nearly limitless. Actually it was March 24 officially, but there was a problem with Apple so it hanged for days on the edge of nowhere. If somebody searched it directly it was possible to find. Even with this special handicap it could reach a quite huge download. Without any appearance on the iTunes! Quite nice start! Thank you for every early bird!

Of course US Store is the first regarding downloads, but Canada and France are strong contenders too. If the figures will be so good I will make a french localization, I promise!
