What if you are not really "saved"?

When I was a kid, I remember asking the question, “How do I know I am saved?” and the Sunday School teacher said, “confess with your tongue and you will be saved!” Well, even back then, I knew there surely had to be more to it than just saying, “I believe!” I knew that it had to be in my heart….it had to be in how I lived, how I studied, how I spoke.

Centuries ago, the Egyptians knew that the human heart had to be weighed. Even though they were pagan, they knew

How did they know? They knew because they studied the stars and they knew the meanings of the star names.

From the constellation Libra – the ancient star names:

Zuben el Genubi “the price deficient” (the heart)
Zuben el Shemali “the price which covers” (the cross)
Zuben Akrabi “the price of the conflict”

They knew they had to weigh their heart against evil.

Jer 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?”

Matt 15:18 “But the-(things) proceeding-out out-of the mouth (are)-coming-out out-of the heart, and-these-(things) (are-defiling the MAN,
Vs 19 For out-of the heart is-coming-out evil deliberations, murders, adulteries, prostitutions, thieveries, false-witnessings, blasphemies.

PS 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.”

Eccl 10:2 “A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.”

Let’s put your heart to a test and see what you believe and if you are saved.

SCRIPTURE:

Rom 3:1 “What therefore the advantage of-the Jew or what the profit of-the circumcision? Vs.2 Much according-to every manner. For first on-the-on-hand because they-were-trusted (with) the oracles of-the God.”

Not one word of scripture has been given by God to any but Jews. Do you believe that? In one stroke, that shows Mormonism and Islamism to be wrong.

And if you do not believe scripture you have no promise of eternal life.

EVOLUTION:
Gen 1:27 “And God created man in his own image…male and female created he them.

Jesus speaking in Mark 10:6 “But from beginning of–creation the God made them male and female.”

A person who knowingly accepts and believes the lie of evolution does NOT believe scripture and is NOT “saved”.

THE FLOOD:
Gen 7:19 “….and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth….and every man:”

If you do not believe in a universal flood, you do NOT believe in scripture and you are NOT “saved”.

JESUS IS JEHOVAH (GOD)
Matt 12:8 “For the son of-the MAN is Jehovah also of-the Sabbath.

Mark 1:3 “Voice of-one-shouting in the wilderness, YOU-prepare the way of-Jehovah, YOU-be-making direct his paths.

Luke 2:11 “That (a) Savior was-brought-forth for-YOU today, in (the) city of-David, who is Messiah Jehovah.

I Cor 12:3 “On-this-account I-am-making-known to-YOU that not-one speaking in (the) Spirit of-God is-saying: Anathema Jesus, and not-one is-being-able to-say: Jehovah Jesus unless in (the) Holy Spirit.”

Phil 2:11 “And every tongue might-acknowledge that Jesus Messiah (is) Jehovah with-reference-to glory of-God (the) Father.”

Jesus is Jehovah the son, the creator. If your heart recognizes, even a little, who Jesus is you would not likely refer to him “as the man upstairs”, and you would not use blasphemous statements such as “Give Jesus a hand” or “clap for Jesus”. How many times have you done that in your church? Jesus IS Jehovah God and should be revered.

If you do not believe that Jesus IS God, then you are not “saved”.

VIRGIN BIRTH:

Matt 1:23 “Behold, the virgin will-have in womb, and she-will-bring-forth (a) son, and they-will-call his name Emmanuel, which is being-translated, the God with us.”

If you do not believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, then you are not “saved”.

SPECIFIC SINNERS:

I Cor 6:9,10 “Or, are YOU not knowing-absolutely that unjust (ones) will not inherit (the) Kingdom of-God? You-be not being-led astray; neither male-prostitutes nor idolaters nor adulterers nor catamites nor homosexual-males. Vs.10 Nor thieves nor covetous (ones) not drunkards, not revilers, not seizers will-inherit (the) Kingdom of-God.”

Verse 11 clearly states if you were among these listed you can be saved. But if you are still doing these things, then you are not saved. You cannot have a homosexual preacher! Well, you can have one, just know that he is NOT saved!

And if you believe that a homosexual, a prostitute, someone who worships idols, someone who is an adulterer, a thief, covetous, an alcoholic, a reviler…….if you believe that they are saved, then you do NOT believe scripture and you are NOT saved!

GOD LOVES EVERYONE:

PS 5:5-6, PS 11:5-6, 1John 2:15-16, John 3:36, Heb 12:5
All of these verses point to the WRATH of God. It is ever so clear that God does NOT love everyone. It is extremely clear that the ones disobeying the Son of God will have the wrath of God on them. And be sure to read these verses in the consistent translation, not in some mixed up translation that will lead you to believe it’s something other than what’s really written in scripture. Paul warned of this in Acts 20:29-30.

If you believe that God (Jesus) loves everyone, then you do not believe scripture and you are not saved.

We can divide Biblical truth into groups in order to determine where a person stands and to determine if he is a member of the body of Christ:

Group 1 – very clear
A. Believes in evolution or
B. Does not believe in a universal flood or
C. Does not believe in the virgin birth of Jesus or
D. Does not believe in the resurrection of Jesus

He is a “false-brother”, he is not saved, he is not a member of the “body” and you should have no fellowship with him/her.

Group II – more difficult to determine (disbelief might be due to ignorance)

A. All scripture entrusted to the Jews
B. Jesus is Jehovah the son, the creator together with the Father
C. Persons practicing sin; idolaters, adulterers, homosexual-males, etc. are not “saved” (but can be). They will not inherit the kingdom of God
D. God does NOT love everyone.

If you believe these premises, you are saved. If you did not know this is what scripture teaches, you do now and if you continue to have your disbelief, then you do not believe scripture and are not “saved”.

Group III – very clear
A. Millennium – Matt 5:5, Matt 6:9, Matt 12:32, Matt 17:10-11, Matt 19:27-28, Matt 24:30-31, Acts 1:6-7, Acts 2:29-31, Acts 3:20-21
If you believe scripture, then you believe there will be a millenniun
B. Amillennalist: does not believe in a millennium, does not believe in scripture. Is not saved.

Weigh your own heart. Weigh it against scripture. If you truly believe in Jesus and accept him as the Messiah, how can you not believe what all of scripture states? And yes, you may have a pastor who is leading you down some path of disbelief or alternative belief, but you can choose the fork in the road and decide to create your own path by studying what was actually written and how translations have changed the original text. But most of scripture is extremely clear – it’s just that we listen to someone else’s ideas about it rather than studying to find out what the truth is.

Matt 15:18-19 – whatever comes out of your mouth is coming out of your heart.

I think it’s really clear how to tell if you are saved or not….and it’s equally clear how to tell if your friends and family are saved.

My Sunday School teacher was wrong. You can’t just “say” that you are “saved” and it will happen.

You MUST study scripture to know what it takes to be saved. You must believe that scripture is the Word of God. Your heart must know it so that the words will come out of your mouth! That’s what it takes to be “saved”.

What if Christmas isn't what you think it is?

Have you ever questioned the origin of Christmas or do you just assume that since the birth of Jesus, everyone has celebrated Christmas on December 25^th? Sometimes, it’s good to stop and ask a question…..”where did this come from?”

Jesus was born a Hebrew. And if you know anything about Judaism, you know that they do not celebrate Christmas. So of course, He did not celebrate it. And keep in mind that the “New Testament” had not yet been written. Jesus would have read from a Torah, from a hand-written “Old Testament” which at that time was known as “the law”.

The Romans ruled the Middle East at the time Jesus was here, and they celebrated the holiday of Saturnalia from December 17-25. It was a week long period of lawlessness. human sacrifice, widespread intoxication, going from house to house singing naked, rape, eating human-shaped biscuits, gift-giving and more. This festival, introduced over 200 years before the birth of Jesus, was held in honour of Saturn, the youngest of the Titans, father of the major gods of the Greeks and Romans and son of Uranus and Gaia. It was also a time to worship the sun god.

Obviously a pagan holiday.

It wasn’t until the year 440 AD that the December 25^th became the official date of Christmas. The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25^th was in 336 AD when Constantine was the Roman Emperor. The first Council of Nicaea was held in AD 325 (Constantine was Emperor). This was the first effort to make a universal doctrine of Christian beliefs. Remember, this was a Roman Empire still at this time. This Council removed Easter from Passover and set it to a Sunday.

The History of Western Europe by James Harvey Robinson states:

The new religion, as it spread from Palestine among the Gentiles, was much modified by the religious ides of those who accepted it. A group of Christian philosophers, who are known as the early fathers, strove to show that the Gospel was in accord with the aspirations of the best of the pagans. In certain ceremonies the former modes of worship were accepted by the new religion. From simple beginnings the church developed a distinct priesthood and an elaborate service. In this way Christianity and the higher forms of paganism tended to come nearer and nearer to each other as time went on.

In other words, the early church merged pagan rituals and traditions into the Gospel – most likely in order to get more people to join the church. After all, if they didn’t have to change what they celebrated, the church could then (later) force them to join.

In AD 324, Constantine issued an edict exhorting all his subjects to follow his example by becoming Christians. But….the office of Pontifex Maximus which he held required him to offer sacrifices to the heathen gods of Rome. Can you see how he was instrumental in bringing pagan practices into the church?

So who celebrated Christmas from the time of Jesus until 440 AD? And when did they celebrate it if they did?

And what about all the “traditions” that go with Christmas. Where/when did they originate?

The Christmas Tree: Pagans had long worshipped trees in the forest, or brought them into their homes and decorated them. Putting evergreen boughs over doors and windows would keep out witches, ghosts, evil spirits and illness. Germany is credited with the Christmas tree as we know it – starting in the 16^th century. They were not present in America until the 1830s. Until the late 1840s, they were seen as pagan symbols and not accepted by most Americans!

Amazing how far the tree has come in just 170 years!

Mistletoe: Kissing under the mistletoe was first found associated with the festival of Saturnalia. Another pagan tradition.

Christmas Presents: From Saturnalia (see above)

Santa Claus: A Roman Catholic Bishop named St Nicholas who attended the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Saint Nicholas was “revived by Washington Irving in 1809 in his book “Knickerbocker History of New York”. So no “Santa Claus” before the 1800s.

Or is he the god Odin, from pre Christian times in Germanic people?

Needless to say, Santa is a fairly “new” addition and has nothing to do with Jesus.

Did you ever notice how Santa has been given the attributes of Jehovah?

1. He is omnipresent – can visit millions of homes in a single night

2. He is all seeing, all knowing. He can deliver each present correctly to each child.

3. He is all-good, all-just. He judges behavior.

4. He is eternal

one god replacing Jehovah God? But I say simply add an “n” to the end of the word “Santa” and you are probably on the right track!

Gift Giving: was banned by the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages due to its suspected pagan origins. Its origins were in the Feast of Saturnalia (see above).

You can search every other Christmas tradition and quickly find that it’s origin was based in pagan practices. And we now can prove that Jesus was not born on or around December 25^th.

The birth of the Messiah is not known for certain, but we can know the approximate time of year when he was born! In the book of Luke we read that the father of John the Baptist was Zacharias, and he was a priest who served at the temple in Jerusalem. He was "of the course of Abia" (Luke 1:5). While serving at the temple, he was informed by an angel that his wife was to have a son, who was to be named "John." After this, Zacharias finished "the days of his ministration," and "departed to his own house" (v.23). "And after those days, his wife Elizabeth conceived..." (v. 24).

The names of the different courses of priests that served at the Temple are given in I Chronicles 24:1-19. "Abia" or "Abijah" was the EIGHTH course. According to the Jewish historian Josephus, each one of these courses served at the Temple for one week, the first course serving the first week of Nisan, in the spring (compare I Chron. 27:1-2), and then each course in its own order. All the priests served during the annual festivals (Passover in spring, Pentecost, and then Tabernacles in the fall). After six months, the order would be repeated, thus each "course" would serve two weeks during a year.

The course of Abijah, then, would have served the eighth week in the rotation. The eighth week from Nisan 1, leaving out the week of Passover, when all the priests served, would have been Iyar 27 TO Sivan 5, the day just before Pentecost, which generally fell on Sivan 6. After serving a week in the Temple, Zacharias would have remained another week in Jerusalem, because of the Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost that week. Therefore, he returned home shortly after this, and his wife then conceived. This would have been about the middle of June. If we add nine months to this date, the normal time for the gestation of a human baby in the womb, John the Baptist would have been born about the middle of March, in the spring, shortly before the Passover.

Yeshua was conceived about six months after John (Luke 1:24-31, esp. verse 26). This would suggest that Yeshua the Messiah was conceived about the middle of December. This would place his birth nine months, or 270 days, later -- or the month of September!

This would mean that Jesus was conceived at Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights (He is the Light of the World”) and born at Sukkot, the Feast of Ingathering (He is the Bread of Life).

I contend that if we follow a Hebrew calendar backwards and put in the rotation of service, we can know the date of Jesus birth!

And I have shown that the magi were rabbis, not “kings” or “wise men”.

What if Christmas isn’t what you think it is? What if it is a pagan holiday, filled with pagan customs, giving worship to pagan gods and is not even remotely associated with the birth of Jesus?

I Cor 10:21 ASV “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons; ye cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.”

In other words, IF you believe in Jesus, you cannot celebrate Christmas.

If you celebrate Christmas, then you worship pagan gods and do not follow Jesus.

You cannot take something that is pagan in origin and turn it into something that is worthy of God.

It’s about as simple as that!

If Satan said "I will be like the most high", then is he?

I remember asking a college professor at Bob Jones University this question, "If Satan said he is going to be like God, then how do we know who he (Satan) is?" And the professor said that it was just a "threat" and that God would never let Satan be like Him.

So I was 18 years old then. And of course, I totally believed what the professor said. I have gone through my life believing that Satan could not be like Jehovah. That God would never allow that to happen. What I did not know at the age of 18 is that college professors do not have the answers. The truly sad thing is that I thought they did.

Amazing how what a teacher, professor, preacher says that we buy into. We believe it because "they" said it. We don't take the time to do our own study or research. We believe them because we assume that they have studied and researched and that they know what they are talking about. But most of them do not. They simply form their ideas from what they were taught. Very few individuals actually research and when they do....they certainly don't try to find a different idea, they simply try to confirm what they already believe.

From the title of this blog, I think it's obvious that I was born a questioner. I started my career with Social Security where I interviewed people applying for retirement and disability benefits. So I spent my 8 hours in the office questioning people. I'm sure I upset numerous people with all my questions. I didn't limit it to just the questions on the application in front of me! I tended to go "outside the box" and ask questions based upon previous answers given to me.

Here's an example: women will spend their entire lives making themselves younger than they actually are in order to impress a man or someone else. Sometimes as much as 10 years younger. But when it comes to retirement age, they want to make themselves older in order to get benefits sooner. In the 1970s, many of these women did not have birth certificates, so they would give me a school record, a marriage certificate, their children's birth certificates and each piece of evidence had a different age/date of birth on it. And I had to evaluate this evidence, determine to the best of my ability what their actual date of birth was, and either approve or deny their eligibility to receive retirement benefits. Almost always, I used the oldest evidence available. The age on a person's grade school report card is much more accurate than the age on their child's birth certificate because their report card was probably issued 15 to 20 years earlier than their son or daughter's birth. However, their parent could have lied in order to get them into school at a very young age, or simply might not have remembered the real date of birth....but still, based on all the evidence, I most often took the oldest evidence as the most reliable.

But that's my point. How many of us take the evidence that is presented to us, analyze it, ask questions about it, verify the authenticity of it.....before we make a decision about it? Simple little things. How many of us go back to the earliest evidence and question the changes made to it since then?

My original birth certificate was lost years ago, but I have a copy of the one recorded in the state of Indiana. "Jennifer Lynn Moore." My baptismal certificate, of which I have the original, shows my name as Jennifer Lynne Moore. One letter off. Does it matter? Which is the oldest piece of information? What did my parents really desire as my name? Did the pastor who wrote out the baptismal certificate make a mistake by adding the "e" in my middle name? Did the hospital official make a mistake by leaving it off? I asked mom and she simply doesn't remember. And no, it doesn't really matter to me.....but does it matter when it comes to Jehovah Jesus Messiah, scripture translations.....and to Satan? Certainly!!!

Is 14:14. If Satan said that he would make himself to be like the most high. How has he done that? What name is he using that you and I might recognize him as the "most high"? Has he changed his name by one letter.....by a full word? Is he an imposter that we do not fully recognize?

If you were going to make yourself be like someone else.....how would you do it? Dress like them? Act like them? Talk like them? There are a lot of famous people in Hollywood that other people try to act just like. Doubles. Imposters. People who make themselves look just like them. How do we tell them apart? Sometimes - it's pretty hard to do. I once saw a Barbra Streisand impersonator and truly could not tell the difference in her looks, or her voice....until the impersonator took off the wig and showed that "she" was a man!

So, if Satan was going to make himself like Jesus....could we tell them apart? Could we do it without a whole lot of study, research, investigation, questioning?

And what if you accept Jesus as your personal savior....and you are really accepting Satan because he is the great imposter?

WOW!!!

Because Satan said that he would make himself to be like Jehovah G*d, I started putting together a table to compare the two systems. Keep in mind that when Jesus Messiah was here on earth, there was no written "New Testament", that He was a Jewish man, and that He would have practiced the Torah - Old Testament law. It is only over time that a "new" system was created by merging into it pagan practices. You truly need to study the evolution of religion since 70AD to fully understand this. I now see 2 distinct systems - here is my comparison:

Now, don't get me wrong. Jews do not believe that the Messiah was born at Sukkot. These are simply the differences that I see between the 2 systems when you use the original Greek and Hebrew texts.

I am sure there are more comparisons and as I come to think of them I will go back and edit this list. But I think you can start to see how similar the 2 "systems" are. Amazing, isn't it? That after 2000 years, the adversary has made himself to seem like god. And while I know that most everyone who attends a "christian" church today will completely deny the remote possibility that their preacher is a false minister, scripture does warn us of this.

What if this is how it really is? No doubt, there are those among my family and friends who will deny that they are on the adversary's stage. I'm simply asking, "what if?" What if there are two stages. What if this "war" has been going on for the last 2000 years between Jehovah and the adversary? What if Satan truly is working this very day to make himself seem like the most high? If there are only 2 stages with no other options, then which stage are you on? At the very least, I hope you will think about it and not be like me - trusting that a college professor had the answer. And my prayer is that my children will come to know the true Jehovah, not the false christ.

Who is Jesus?

Ralph Mount did a cassette lesson titled, “The Truth About Jesus If You Really Want to Know”. I highly recommend it – if you want to know.

But I think most people don’t want to know. I think most people are happy to sit and listen to someone else tell them who they think Jesus is….and don’t try to find out who He REALLY is.

This is not really an if-ism. I have no questions on this one – this is simply my personal “fact sheet”. So I’ll call it a fact-ism.

I guess there are those who think He was a human being. I have never thought that. I have always known Him to be the Son of G-d, the Son of Jehovah, G-d in the flesh – however you want to say it. I have never doubted for one second in my entire life that Jesus was the son of G-d.

And that amazes me. I love to question everything. I love to argue. I love to research, study, learn, grow. But since as early as I can remember, no matter who has wanted to have a discussion with me, I have remained steadfast in my personal knowledge that Jesus is the Messiah, that He is the Son of G-d, that He is the Savior.

But in recent study, I think I have come to know more of who He is.

No one has ever seen the face of Jehovah the Father. Jesus is Jehovah in the flesh.

I think it’s important to mention a couple of things here. In most Bible translations, there’s a dividing point called the Old Testament and the New Testament. But they really are not in the right place. The New Testament, or new covenant, actually began only after the resurrection of Jesus. His life, His teachings, everything prior to His death…is literally still part of the “old” covenant. There was nothing “new” until after He was raised from the dead.

So, that should help you understand that during His life here on earth, He was bound by the “law” (the Old Testament, the old covenant). He would have taught the Torah. He would have studied the Torah. There were no gospels for Him to speak from. He would have kept all of the Jewish customs, feasts….and I believe if you study, you will see that He did. The last supper was in fact a Passover. He simply expounded upon them, explained them, expanded them.

What else do I believe?

That He entered into the belly of Mary moments before birth. That she prepared a human body, a “tabernacle” for Him to dwell in. That she is NOT the mother of God, she was the person assigned to prepare a human dwelling for the Son of G-d. There is no reason to worship her. In fact, I believe that would be a sin.

I believe that there was nothing human about Him other than the body that He was in. He was Jehovah on earth. He was sent to the Jews as the Messiah. I believe that He was in the beginning.

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness;….

Plural.

I also think that the “new” testament should build upon the “old” testament. Not take anything away from it, but rather add to it. But I also think if you are Jewish, and if you keep the law, you will have eternal life because you keep the law. Therefore, I would not try to convert someone who is Jewish. I think it is far worse for a Jewish person to take up pagan holidays such as Christmas and Easter than to keep Passover and Sukkot.

I believe that the gospel of the good news of salvation has already been told.

Col 1:21-23 “having-been preached in all creation the (one) under the heaven.

I believe that the gospel of the good news of the kingdom was future and that this was fulfilled in 1948 when the kingdom was restored to the Israeli and when they joined the UN in 1949, then the entire world knew this as well.

ACTS1v6 On-the-one-hand therefore the (ones) having-come-together were-questioning him saying, Lord, if in this time are-you-restoring the kingdom to-the Israeli?

ACTS1v7 He-said to them: It-is not of-YOU to-come-to-know times or seasons which the Father placed-for-himself in (his) own authority,

ACTS1v8 BUT YOU-will-take power, (after) the Holy Spirit (is) having-come-on upon YOU, and YOU-will-be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all the Judea and Samaria even till last of-the earth.

ACTS1v9 And having-said these-things (as) they (were) looking he-was-elevated, and (a) cloud assumed him from their eyes.

ACTS1v10 And as they-were staring into the heaven, (as) he (was) proceeding, and behold two men were-having-stood-alongside with-them in white esthesis,

ACTS1v11 Who also said: Men, Galileans, why have-YOU-stood-and-are-still-standing looking into the heaven? This the Jesus namely-the (one) having-been-taken-up from YOU into the heaven thus he-will-come (in) which manner YOU-beheld him proceeding into the heaven.

I believe that Jesus came to earth as a Jew. I believe that all of scripture was given to the Jews, written by Jews, and that Jesus was here as a Jewish man. The “church” did not exist. The Gospels have nothing to do with the “church”. They were all written by Jews, to Jews. That means Luke was a Jew. Paul was a Jew. Nothing else.

I believe that Gentiles can be grafted into the tree as a branch, but that the branch can be broken off.

Most important, I want my children to know that I pray for them every single day...that Jehovah will soften their hearts, that they might come to know who Jehovah Jesus Messiah is and that one day, they might understand what their mom believed.

What if the “ten commandments” are wrong???

I remember asking once why we “said” there were only 10 commandments…..when I certainly counted way more than ten. Have you ever actually read the scripture…or just memorized the commandments as given by your “church”?

EX 20: 1-17

Here's how I see it:

1 You shall have no other gods before me
2. You shall not make any graven image, or likeness of anything, that is in heaven above, or in the earth, or that is in water.
3. You shall not bow down to the idols
4. You shall not serve those idols
5. You shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
6. Remember the sabbath day, keep it holy
7. Work 6 days
8. Do not work on the 7th day.
9. Honor thy father and mother
10. You shall not kill
11. You shall not commit adultery
12. You shall not steal
13. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
14. You shall not lust after your neighbor's wife
15. You shall not covet your neighbor's house, wife, manservant, maidservant, ox, ass, or anything that is his

They are listed a second time, in Deuteronomy. This time, they are translated as "ten commandments, the the Hebrew literally means "ten matters".

1. You shall have no other gods before me
2. You shall not make any graven image, likeness that is in heaven, earth or in the waters
3. You shall not bow down to them
4. You shall not serve them
5. You shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
6. You shall keep the sabbath day, sanctify it
7. You shall work 6 days
8. You shall not work on the 7th day
9. Remember Egypt
10. Honor thy father and mother
11 You shall not kill
12. You shall not commit adultery
13. You shall not steal
14. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
15. You shall not desire your neighbor's wife
16. You shall not covet your neighbor's house, field, manservant, maidservant, ox, ass, or anything that is his.

So, there really are 16 commandments, that break down their content into 10 matters.

The first matter, dealing with the first 4 commandments, deals with God.

There are also 4 commandments given concerning the matter of the Sabbath.

But when you think about it......there were actually 16 commandments written on the stones...concerning 10 different matters.

These instructions constitute a covenant between God and His people. (EX 34:28 and Deut 4:13) The benefits of following these commandments are explained in Deut 28: 1-14.

If you promise to follow these, and then don't, the punishment is listed in Deut 5:9....to the 4th generation. Pretty severe stuff!

Most people think that the New Testament did away with the Old Testament. Actually, it should be called the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. The "new" simply builds upon the "old".....adds to it and explains it even better.

And you have to remember that the New Testament as written today - most of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are actually part of the Old Testament as there was no "new" testament until after the resurrection of the Messiah.

Matthew 22: 37-40 shows us there is a hierarchy, and a dependency to the commandments. When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was, He replied:

Love Yahuwah your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

That last sentence shows us that all the other commandments of the Old Testament are elaborations and detailed explanation of the 2 commandments mentioned here. Thus the above 16 commandments could be split into two topics: 1) to love God, and 2) to love your neighbor.

I think each of the ten matters deserves it's own discussion. We can "argue" our way out of any of these, but if taken literally, how far do we go? Is a child's doll a "graven image" since it is made in the likeness of man? If you work on Saturday are you violating a commandment? If you kiss a cross before you pray, are you worshiping a graven image? If there is the image of Mary or Jesus or anyone/thing else in your church.....are you violating a commandment? Do you bow down to Mary? Not to mention "saints"?

I grew up in a church that had a picture of Jesus on the wall. He had flowing light brown hair and white skin. Not sure that a Jewish person looks like that at all.

And then there was the "Living Christmas Tree" in San Diego where "Mary" was blond. I know it's just a pageant, but why not make it a little bit more realistic? Mary and Jesus were both middle eastern Jews of 2000 years ago. I have to wonder if there is a reason for the commandment to not make any graven image.....because G-d knew it would be the wrong image?

If your church does not have all 16 commandments in these 10 matters listed....why not? It was the Roman Catholics who gave us the condensed version of 10 commandments. Pay attention to what was left out. And how they worship. Pretty convenient to make scripture say what you want it to say. One has to wonder if this isn't Satan's power here on earth - to twist and distort scripture until pagan rituals are made to seem right.

Nowhere are we given permission to leave anything out, to eliminate commandments!

I like # 9 - remember Egypt. This is a commandment. How many "christians" even know what happened in Egypt? Most "churches" that I ever attended said that the Old Testament was no longer "valid". Or that there was no need to study the Old Testament. I sort of think that's completely wrong. How can we know what the new covenant is building on if we don't know what the old covenant is?

If there are FOUR commandments relating to the matter of the Sabbath, one would think that's pretty important. And in all honesty, I don't like the one that we are to work 6 days. I like just working 5 days. But I'm thinking maybe I'd better work on that 6th day.

And yes, you can say that these were given to the Jews who were under law, but since the Messiah refers to them, and since the new covenant only builds upon the old covenant, I am convinced that we are to live by all 16 of these commandments.

What if that's correct and you aren't following all 16 of them? Interesting, huh?

What if Aquarius is closer than we think?

My dad was an extremely brilliant man. I remember he would ask me the most interesting questions. I'm sure he never expected me to answer them.....they were discussion starting questions.

One day, he said to me, "I wonder what would happen if God shifted the earth's poles just a little bit." Well, I had been studying magnetic power in school and I immediately informed dad that batteries would no longer work. He said, "you are right!"

There are days when I wonder what ever happened to that brilliant childhood brain I had? Now I have to look up everything. So in my quest to better determine if there are signs in the stars, one of the thing I have been studying is the shift in the earth's axis in relationship to the ages.

Two times a year, as the Earth revolves in its orbit, its axis reaches a midpoint where neither the North or South Poles are tilted towards the sun. The days when this takes place are called the Vernal (Spring) and Autumnal (Fall) Equinox. The word comes from Latin, meaning "equal night" - that is, when the night is equal to the day. The Vernal Equinox is our first day of Spring.

The precession of the equinoxes: "Precession" is the gradual "backwards" movement of the outer visible universe and is used to determine the astrological Age which we are in. We are presently in Pisces. This is determined by locating the Sun's position in the zodiac at the exact moment of the Vernal (Spring) Equinox. Every 72 years the Sun backs up about 1 degree. An astrological age is the amount of time that it takes for the Sun to move backwards throughout one complete zodiac sign. 72 years x 30 degrees = 2160 years = the length of an astrological age.

So, it takes about 2160 years to go through an age. BUT. What if earthquakes cause the earth's axis to shift, then would that decrease the number of years and cause the next age to come sooner?

It is said that on the day Jesus died, the earth shook, the skys were darkened, and we entered into the age of Pisces. The veil in between Holy of Holies and Holy Place - was rent. Access was granted, one mediator between man and God.

Matthew 27:51, And behold the veil of-the sanctuary was-split into two, from from-above till below; and the earth was-caused-to-quake, and the rocks were-split,

Luke 23:45, And the sun was-made-dark, and the veil of-the sanctuary was-split-(in) midst.

What if the earth shook the axis enough to move from Aries into Pisces?

It takes 2250 - 2600 years for the equinox to progress through a Zodiac constellation. There are 12 of these and each one is 30 degrees totaling 360 degrees

The age of Aries was from the time of Moses (2000 BC) til the death of Jesus (the sky darkened, the earth shook, the veil was rent.)

The age of Taurus was from the flood (4000 BC) until Moses.

The age of Gemini was from the Creation until the Flood.

If that is true, and the next age, the messianic age is Aquarius, then that totals 5 ages which leaves a remainder of 7 ages.

And if a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day and it took 7 "days" to create the earth (7000 years).....that would complete the entire cycle. I don't know if that's how it is, but it seems to be a possibility.

What if there is a relationship between all the earthquakes that are happening....and getting us to Aquarius a little faster than we're supposed to get there? The earthquake in Chili moved the earth's axis 3 degrees. The one in Japan this past March moved it 9 inches.

When the sun appears to be in the original constellation of Aquarius at sunrise on the first day of Spring, we will know that we are in the Age of Aquarius.

So next, I needed to look at the names of the stars in this constellation and what they meant:

Aquarius means water bearer (Pourer Forth of Water) and the Babylonian name means "the great one". Consider John 7:37-39

JOHN7v37 But in the last day namely-the great (one) of-the feast the Jesus had-stood, and he-cried saying, If someone might-be-thirsting, let-him-be-coming to me and let-him-be-drinking.

JOHN7v38 The (one) trusting with-reference-to me, according-as the scripture said, rivers of-living water will-flow out-of his belly.

JOHN7v39 But this he-said concerning the Spirit which the (ones) trusting with-reference-to him were-being-about to-be-taking; for (the) Holy Spirit not-yet, because the Jesus was not-as-yet glorified.

And what if there is a relationship between the astrological signs, the astronomical signs, the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 gates of Jerusalem, and the astrological ages? Oh! WOW!!!

Again, I put together a grid. I like them. They help me see things a little more clearly.

Note: there are numerous different websites that give conflicting information on which tribe goes with which constellation. It's just interesting that a tribe is affixed to each constellation, and a gate to Jerusalem, and an age....and so forth.

Remember also that the Greek word in the KJV that has been translated as "world" usually means "age" in most places. It's not a new world that's coming, it's a new age. I don't think that' too hard to imagine. Jehovah promised the land to Abraham forever. If this world ends, that wasn't much of a promise, was it? Once again, translations seem to get us more confused than anything else.

What if there are 12 ages? What if earthquakes will move us into the Aquarius age sooner than expected? What if that is the Millenium age when Jehovah Jesus Messiah returns to reign on earth, when Jerusalem rules the earth? What if the signs are in the stars?

Perhaps we all need to look to the sky a little more often.

I'll bet you're wondering what the answer was to that question back in the 50s in the middle of Indiana in a tiny Methodist church? I was told that we did not study astrology, that it was "of the devil". But yet all these years, I have wondered about this verse:

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;

That's the King James Version. But the Consistent Translation shows:

LUKE 21v25 And signs will-be in sun and moon and stars, and over the earth (a) holding-together of-nations in perplexity, (as) sea and surf (is) sounding,

So, what signs? And how do we see them? Because I never studied astronomy, and barely knew the difference between that and astrology, this has been a difficult study for me, but I am completely fascinated with some of the results I'm finding.

Planet X comes into our solar system every 3660 years. So if you start with next year and subtract 3660 years, that takes us back to 1645BC. Geologists say that was the great volcanic explosion of the Santorini calders whose drifting ash cloud was described in EX 9.

3660 years prior to that was 5308 BC when geologists say the Great Flood of Noah's day covered the earth. Dating is based on geological evidence involving the Black Sea.

Planet X is also called Nibiru or Elenin. It was aligned with the Sun, Earth and Mercury on 3/11/11 (spring equinox) when the Japan 9.0 earthquake hit.

So looking at Elenin's alignment with the earth, I put together this grid: (click to enlarge)

Remember my blog about God shaking His finger at us? Our legislators are looking at a debt resolution. If they vote on one on Monday and it eliminates support to Israel (guaranteeing loans for them, etc.), then we are in a perfect position for God to "shake His finger" at us once again.

I do think everything depends on the actions of our leaders.....and we are the ones who vote them into office, so it depends on each of us.

Between 9/24 and 9/27, the UN will consider a resolution to create a Palestinian State, having Israel return to her 1967 borders and move the boundaries of Jerusalem. (Zach 12: 1-3)
An estimated 1 million Palestinians to take to the streets after the UN meetings.
Egypt has their first election making a Muslim Brotherhood ruler imminent (Isaiah 19:4) Election preparations start on 9/18.
9/28 is the Feast of Trumpets in Israel. This will be the 63rd Feast of Trumpets since the birth of Israel which leaves 7 years until Israel turns age 70. And 70 years represents a generation.
9/20, the gay and lesbian service members can serve openly in the US military
Israel is preparing for war to start in September. US aircraft carriers CVN77 and CVN 76 have entered the Persian Gulf. Lebanon has 50,000 missiles pointed at Israel, Egypt and Hamas, maybe Jordan, will send in missiles, Iran - possible nuclear warheads? But God is on Israel's side, and that makes Israel a majority.
Israel's Labor Party primary on 9/12 and they are expected to discuss leaving Netanyahu's coalition after that.
California schools start - the first state to require public schools add lessons about gay history in social studies classes.
9/22 starts the Durban III Conference (targets Israel) in NYC
Increased earthquakes in and around the "ring of fire"
Increase volcanic activity i.e., steam venting, earth cracking....

Do we need to look up a little more often?

"He telleth the NUMBER of the stars, he calleth them all by there NAMES". PS 147:7

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy-work. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night SHEWETH KNOWLEDGE. PS 19:1

So that was another childhood question I remember asking. If HE numbered the stars and called them all by name, how many stars were there? And I was told I'd find out when I got to heaven! Amazing that we can know the answers today.

There are 1,064,340,000,000,000,000 stars in the sky. Soncino Talmud, Vol 16, page 201 Berakoth 32b: "Resh Lakish said, The Holy One, blessed be He, answered her: My daughter, twelve constellations have I created in the firmament, and for each constellation I have created 30 hosts, and for each host I have created 30 cohorts, and for each cohort I have created 30 maniples, and for each maniple I have created 30 camps, and to each camp I have attached 365 thousands of myriads of stars, corresponding to the days of the solar year, and all of them I have created only for thy sake." This quote was taken from "The Law Prophesied" by R. H. Mount. (page 13)

Now, my understanding is simply that when Elenin, Planet X, aligns itself with earth, there is magnetic pull which can cause earthquakes, tidal changes, weather changes, pole shifts, and other things. But is this God's way of preparing us....we know the dates based on the movement of the stars (signs)?

Going back to my discussion of God shaking His little finger at us, is it possible He might shake His fist at us in September? If America votes to support a Palestinian state, He could use the magnetic pull of Elenin to cause huge earthquakes on earth. He could continue to punish America for promoting homosexuality in the military. He could do so much. And I have to ask.....what if the signs are in the stars?

One of those early childhood questions that no one answered was “why do we worship on Sunday?” I was very good at math. I knew that Sunday was the FIRST day of the week, not the 7^th day of the week. I was very good at logic. I knew Sunday was not the 7^th day of the week. But no one ever took the time to explain to me the history of the conversion between the Sabbath and Sunday worship. Probably because no one really knew (1950s – no internet, and our little local library didn’t have much in it).

So who changed the 7^th day to the 1^st day?

Long before Jesus arrived on earth, pagans worshiped on Sunday. It was the day the sun was worshiped. The Chaldeans, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Medo-Perisnas, the Grecians and the Romans were sun worshippers.

Acts shows us that the first Christians were Jews, and the earliest church is classifiable as a messianic sect within Judaism. The disciples were frequently found in the temple, continued to observe the law, circumcision, Sabbath worship and the food laws.

So, you see, there were 2 conflicting factors….the pagans who had been worshiping on Sunday, and the new Christians and the Jews who were worshipping on the Sabbath.

In the 4^th century Constantine saw that half the people worshiped on Sunday – pagans, half kept the Sabbath – professed Christians/Jews. He wanted to cement the 2 factions. He published 2 edicts – the first enjoined the solemn observance of Sunday and the second directed the regular consultation of the auspices – a pagan practice.

Fact: Constantine was a pagan to every inch of his body. He was a non-discriminatory heathen. Constantine worshipped all the gods - especially Apollo the god of the sun. He held the title Pontifex Maximus which was the title of the high priest of paganism. These and other considerations make it clear that Constantine's form of Christianity was actually a modified version of mystery religion. - The Mystery of Iniquity that had been at work since the time of Babel.

Constantine saw something that the emperors before him did not see - the opportunity to make peace through compromise. He never really converted to Christianity. But what he did accomplish was to convert Christianity to paganism. He was a pawn in Satan's hand to pervert the Christian faith with all of paganism's trappings.

On March 7, 321, Constantine gave forth his Sunday law:

“Let all the judges and town people and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the sun (Dies Solis); but let those who are situated in the country, freely and at full liberty, attend to the business of agriculture; because it often happens that no other day is so fit for sowing corn and planting vines; lest the critical moment being let slip, men should lose the commodities granted by Heaven.” Right there we find the genesis of Sunday keeping in the Christian Church.

The church followed the leadership of Constantine, and in the year 364, at the council of Laodicea, passed a law requiring that Christians must “not Judaize by resting on Saturday.” Eusebius, a noted bishop of the church, states, “All things whatsoever that it was duty to do on the Sabbath, these we have transferred to the Lord’s day.” Here, then, it is plain that a human hand, and not a divine, changed the Sabbath. Eusebius says, “We have transferred.”

Finally the Sabbath was crushed, and Sunday, the pagan holiday, was instituted. Henceforth, it was espoused by the church, and supported, as it is in our day. Doctor Eck, the astute lawyer and champion of the Church in its controversy with Martin Luther, admits, “The church has changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday on its own authority, without Scripture, doubtless under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.”

And that got me to thinking, what do Hebrews call the days of the week on their calendar?

Yom Rishon = first day (gentile’s Sunday)
Yom Sheni = second day
Yom Shlishi = third day
Yom Revi’I = fourth day
Yom Chamishi = fifth day
Yom Shishi = sixth day
Yom Shabbat = Sabbath day, day of rest

They just go by numbers!

When the Gregorian calendar was established, the names of the days were taken from planets and gods

Sunday – Sun’s day, day of the sun

Monday – Moon’s day, day of the moon

Tuesday, Tyr’s day. Tyre was a god of combat and heroic glory in Germanic paganism, day of Mars

Wednesday – Day of Wodan, more commonly known as Odin, the highest god in Norse mythology, a prominent god in England until the 7
^th century, day of Mercury

Thursday – Thor’s day, Germanic god of thunder, day of Jupiter

Friday, Day of Frige, the Germanic goddess of beauty, an incarnation of the Norse goddess Frigg, day of Venus

Saturday – Saturn’s day, Roman god associated with the Titan Cronos, father of Zeus and many Olympians.

Why on earth did that happen???? Another one of Satan's ways to rule this earth.

I think it’s pretty obvious that we are not to worship the sun:

Deut 4:19; 17:3

II Kings 23:5

Job 31:26-23

Ezek 8:16 - most clearly against sun worship...God says, "I will deal with them in anger: I will not look on them with pity or spare them."

But of all things – to worship on the Sun’s day? Not to mention that scripture clearly states that we are to keep the Sabbath forever (it's a commandment, you know?)…if you worship on Sunday….it’s pagan.

What are other symbols of sun (pagan) worship? Feel free to google them, but here’s my list:

It’s interesting that a lot of the “old time” church buildings were built facing east and you walked straight in and faced west to worship. Yet they had other items such as an obelisk (steeple). And all of them worshiped on Sunday.

I always hated Easter sunrise service. Nothing at all to do with the fact that we got up when it was pitch black, drove forever to some place outside that was freezing cold....it was that the sun hurt my eyes something horrible when I looked into it. I have to wonder if that was God's way of protecting me? While others were praising their sun god, I was wincing in pain, looking down, unable to look to the east. To this very day, the morning sun hurts my eyes if I look to the east. Praise Jehovah. Praise Him that even though my questions were not answered when I was a child....He still led me where He wanted me to go. Amazing grace.

If you know it’s pagan, if you know it’s against scripture, why do it? If you know that God will deal with you in anger, if He will not look on you with pity, or spare you.....why do you still do it? If you face the east in any part of your worship, if your building has a steeple on it, if there's an image with a sunburst on it, it is pagan. And if you want to continue to worship that way, at least acknowledge that you are pagan.

And because He commanded that you keep the Sabbath and a pagan ruler made the change to Sunday, know that if you worship on Sunday, you are pagan.

It's never to late to learn what scripture really says and to change your daily life to be more of what He tells us to be.

What if there isn't going to be a rapture, then what will happen next?

Even as a child, listening to some preacher up in the pulpit screaming his head off, ranting and raving that the "end is now" and that "Jesus can come at any moment....right this very single moment.....are you ready?".....I KNEW it was a lie. I KNEW there were things in the Bible that hadn't happened, that had to happen before Jesus could return.

Was I a perceptive child? Probably not. But I think I learned about logic and reasoning at a very young age. I learned what if/then hypotheses were. I knew that if the Bible said Elijah had to come before the Messiah came and Elijah wasn't here, then the Messiah wasn't going to come back that very second! Of course, whenever I would ask, "Did Elijah come?" I would get a blank look. There were times when I simply thought no one else really read the Bible. Understand that back then, I took scripture quite literally....and I still do.

Where did the idea come from that Christ could return at any moment? Is it an attempt to appease us, make us believe that we will escape any future suffering? That we will be raptured out before the end times start? What a great way to get you to stop studying. Just believe that you don't have to live through it, so why bother studying about it! Now, don't stop reading yet, I'll talk more about the "rapture" later on.

I have also come to understand how important it is to study Greek and Hebrew words. I remember how I hated conjugating verbs in grade school. It was just so boring. But how terribly important that I did learn what each tense of a verb means. And if it is important in the English language to understand tenses....to know what we mean, then how much more important is it to understand tenses in Greek and Hebrew?

And the other thing is that I need to understand when scripture is literal and when it is figurative. I think that's more important than most preachers let on. It seems that everyone wants to take every little verse and apply it to some personal aspect of their life. But I'm not sure that's the intent at all. I'd more nearly think that we apply it solely in the context that it was written understanding specifically who it was written to and understanding history of the era when it was written. Probably really important.

The Bible is about 80% prophecy. And in order to know what prophecy has been fulfilled, you have to know history. You have to be able to look at history and understand what has happened over the last 6000 years and to know how it ties in with Bible prophecy.

And you have to watch world news today in order to see what prophecy is currently being fulfilled. I certainly wouldn't leave that task up to someone else, knowing that they probably don't view scripture the way that I do.

Mark 13:32: But of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Most people understand this verse to say that no one can know the day or hour of the Lord's return. They often add that you can only know the approximate time.

But what if that verse is only addressing the specific people that it was written to. That "those" people could not know the day or hour.....but the rest of us could? And it might make sense that Jesus, as a man on earth, could not know. But when he joined the Father, he did know. I feel pretty certain that He knows now.

And consider that the Thessalonians knew. I Thes 5:1-4. Paul did not have to write to them on this subject. They already knew. What did they know? And if they knew, can we? I think that with the study of scripture, being acutely aware of the meaning of words and the tenses of verbs, we can know. But a knowledge of past and current history is necessary as well.

So, consider history: Jerusalem fell to the Romans in 70AD. The Jews were sent into worldwide dispersion. The seasons of gentile rule began:

1. Season of Rome 130 - 615 AD

2. Season of Persia 615-619 AD

3. Season of the Eastern Empire 629-637AD

4. Season of the Saracen Empire 637-1099 AD

5. Season of the Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem 1099-1187 AD

6. Season of Egypt 1187 - 1229 AD

7. Season of Germany 1229 - 1243 AD

8. Season of Korasmians 1243 AD

9. Season of Turkish Empire 1244 - 1917 AD

10 Season of Great Britain 1917 - 1948 AD

11 Season of Jordan 1948 - 1967 AD

June 7, 1967, Jerusalem is returned to Israel and the "seasons" of Jerusalem's administration by Gentile nations was fulfilled per Luke 21:24. Jerusalem had to be returned to the Jews before the Messiah could return.

So Jesus could not have returned before this happened. I can write off all those preachers who were claiming an immediate rapture at any moment in my entire childhood!!

What if the tribulation of the Jews started in 70 AD with the destruction of the Temple? They were sent into dispersion throughout the world. They have been killed, persecuted, tossed out of the lands they were on, forced into captivity......certainly has been a 2000 year tribulation for them. So what if the tribulation has been going on for the last 2000 years?

Some of the things that have happened and are according to prophecy include....

4. World nations come on the scene in line with Bible prophecy

f. where is Assyria?

5. State of Israel, May 14-16, 1948 (a land born in a day)

6. Seasons for Gentile Nations to hold Jerusalem ended June 6, 1967.

7. Russian Revolution 1917 begins preparation for Russian invasion of Middle East (Ezk 38:39)

8. Turning of world nations against Israel. happening now from 1967 to the present. Prepares for God's wrath in the Day of Jehovah (Joel 3:1-3)

9. Recognition of Red China by US 1978 launches China into lead position in Far east in preparation of "kings of the east" (Rev 16:12)

10. Changes in Iran (Persia) 1978 - 1979, starts Moslem rise toward antichrist power.

11. Communism as against God, and Muslims opposed to idols, prepare religion of Antichrist (Dan 11:37, 2 Thes 2:4)

What still needs to happen? (according to prophecy)

12. Russian invasion of Middle East will force Israel to rely on God (Ezk 39:7)

13. Israel to build the Temple (Joel 1:13, Ezk 40-48)

14. Man of Sin is revealed (2 Thes 2:3) (he sits in the temple, so temple must be built first)

15. Elijah returns (Malachi 4:5) - not John the Baptist, but Elijah himself.

16. World nations arrive at false peace (1Thes 5:30z)

17. Cosmic disturbances start (Joel 2:11, 31)

The modern approach to lift Christians into bliss in the heavens via a rapture before the tribulation, has done a great deal to stifle Bible study rather than to encourage it.

What if, the presence of Christ in glory is on Jerusalem, but the gross darkness is on the peoples. Isaiah 60 hasn't happened yet. When the Temple is rebuilt, the nations will still exist. In Isaiah 62:7, it says Jerusalem will be a praise in the earth. Not heaven. Has this happened? Not yet.

It is only as history fulfils prophecy that we can be absolutely certain of what the chronology is. The foundation in chronology depends on the Jew.

1. The Jew still exists in spite of all of Satan's forces.

2. The Jew has been scattered for 1900 years

3. The Jew is being regathered.

4. The Jew is hated by all nations.

5. Jerusalem has been taken from the Gentiles and restored to the Jew.

6. The land of Israel is being turned from desolation to a fertile land

7. The Jew still keeps circumcision.

8. The Jew still keeps the Sabbath.

9. God is giving the land to the Jew little by little.

These are just a few historic facts.

Keep your eyes on Israel!

Possible order:

1. Some sort of peace with the Jew under Gentile dominion 2 Thes 2:3-4,

antichrist sitting in the temple, Rev 13: 4-7, 16-18,

authority to continue for 42 months, authority over every nation (may not use it).

The mark of the beast will be the cross. Rev 11, 1-4. 2

witnesses will prophesy for 1260 days. One will be Elijah. Will the other be Moses?

354 days in a normal Jewish year. Passover to the Feast of Tabernacles (last day) is 175 days. + 3 years (1062 days) = 1237 days + 29 Days for Adar 11, = 1256 days + 7 days of feast = about 1260 days

2. International revolt Rev 16:12-16, Zech 14:1-2, Matt 24:32-34.

Kings of the east come under leadership of China and fight against Jerusalem.

3. Jehovah comes (figurative) to fight. Zech 14: 3-4, 2 Thes 2:8

If you want to continue to use "rapture", then be sure to explain that you are making a u-turn and just going over to Jerusalem to live there with Him. 1 Thes 4:15-17. 2 Thes 2:1 (ah! remember, the Thessalonians already knew about the Messiah's return, so Paul did not have to explain it to them!)

Understand what the verb means in the Greek. It doesn't say we will stay in the air. The verb means to meet and return.

This then would be the beginning of the Messianic age. Here on earth. We're not going with Him to "heaven" because He is coming here. Think about it.

Besides, all you need to do is google origins of the term rapture and you will learn that it is a fairly new term, originating in England in the early 1800s. Prior to that, no one believed in the rapture. So what changed? Surely not scripture. Again - I think it's just a way to get you to not study what's going to happen if you think you are going to be raptured out of it!

The Greek word for "mansion" is abode. He is preparing a place for us to abode with Him. Our bodies are Tabernacles. He is preparing a place for our Tabernacles to abode with him. See how important it is to know what the actual Greek word means? Not mansions on streets of gold. But a place for us to tabernacle with Him. These are English words that a translator used in order to appease a King of England in order to keep from being beheaded! Reason enough to study the meaning of each and every word.

The generation that sees these things shall not pass away until all these things are accomplished. Matt 24:33-34

1900 (?) to 2000, 100 years, this generation? Or is a generation 70 years? Israel formed in 1948. The generation born starting in 1948? Turns 70 in 2018. Or the generation that "sees" these things, so those who were perhaps age 13 and older in 1948? As a whole, this generation will not pass away. We are going to live through it.

The return is not imminent. But perhaps within sight. The Messiah is not going to come today as the things scripture says has to happen have not happened yet. Keep your eyes on Israel. Pay close attention to world events. We may not know to the minute when the Messiah will return. But we can certainly know what has and hasn't happened, and that is what will allow us to know when to expect Him.

For many reasons, I am convinced that He will come during Sukkot, the feast of Tabernacles.

How many people know the history of the land of Israel? If you don't ask questions, you will never know, and if you don't study, you will never find out.

This is Israel's story in maps:

King David ruled Israel from 990 BCE to 968 BCE and his son Solomon ruled until 928 BCE. I Kings 4:24 - Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River from Tiphsah to Gaza, he was at peace with all his neighbors

King Herod was king of Israel from 40 BCE to 4 BCE. He was appointed by Rome and conquered thekingdom from the Hasmoneans. He was rewarded for hisloyalty and added Jerico, Bashan, Horen, Tarchon, and the Golan Heights.

During the 7th to the 11th centuries (600 - 1000AD) the Jews remained mainly in the Galilee and in larger cities:

In 1906, the southern border of Israel was set when the British changed the border between the Ottoman Empire and Egypt.

The northern border as set 1916 - 1923. France and Gr Britain signed the Sykes-Picot Agreement in May 1916.

Then the British Mandate in 1920 included Transjordan, then reduced, and the League of Nations approved the changed mandate which took effect in 1923.

So the US is wanting to give away more land that is controlled by Israel than land that is controlled by the PA? That hardly seems fair.

They are a tiny spec, surrounded by a muslim world. Let the PA have their state in one of these other places, not in Israel's promised grounds.

The Consistent New Testament

Thanks to someone in Florida (I think) and South Carolina and Millie in NYC - we now have the New Testament available for download in a searchable word document.

It is the BEST honest translation of the words from the Greek to the English.

Ralph H. Mount Jr, made this translation about 1987. He took one English word for one Greek word and consistently applied that same English word each time the Greek word was used. He didn't use different English words for a single Greek word. And he didn't use different Greek words for a single English word. Thus - a more consistent translation of the Greek into English.

He also didn't take previous translations of scripture and use them to make decisions. He translated directly from Greek to English.

If you see multiple words with hypens between them, they should be read as a single word. The best way I can explain that is if there is a Greek word "xyz" and Mount has it as "going-to-the-store" then that single Greek word is best translated as the 4 English words hypenated together. It takes a little bit of time to get used to reading scripture this way - but it makes perfect sense. If you've ever studied a foreign language, I think you will get it.

If you truly want to know what scripture says, that the word "love" really is the English word "charity", then you will love this CT. If you want to study even more, order the cassettes from the source over on the right.

Finally, you can go to any website and pull up a King James version of the New Testament and place it to the right of this word document and make your own comparison. But if you want them printed side-by-side, then order it from the Mount Trust. It's truly a great resource to own!

What if it makes a difference how many points a star has?

When I was in the second grade, I drew wonderful stars. I made them using 2 triangles. I just loved my pretty stars. My teacher got quite angry with me. She took my hand with my pencil in it and very hard, made me draw a 5 pointed star without lifting my pencil from my paper. She very emphatically told me that I should NEVER draw a star with 6 points....that I should always draw them with 5 points.

Well, I quit drawing. I hated those 5 pointed stars as I could never get them even. They were lop-sided, crooked, un-balanced. But she scared me to death, so I simply quit drawing stars!

Today, I find it quite interesting that my natural instinct was to draw a "Star of David". And now I understand the real reason that teacher didn't want me drawing it. The year was about 1958, 10 years after Israel was formed. She surely knew that Israel was using a 6 pointed star on their flag. She surely knew that the Jews in the holocaust had to wear a yellow 6 pointed star on their clothes. She most likely didn't want "that" star anywhere in her classroom.

Anyone can research the Star of David and learn that much of it's use in early times was probably in paganism. But it is also known as the Seal of Solomon and we know that he used it as an emblem in architecture in his buildings.

The term "Star of David" does not appear in scripture. Or does it? Remember the story of David and Goliath? In that time period, about 1000 BC, it was common to make military shields using 2 triangles, inverted, layered one on top of the other. A "Star of David" protected him.

In Hebrew, it is called a Magen David, which means Shield of David.

It has only been associated as a symbol of Judaism in the last 200 years or so.

Simply put, it is a hexagram. Nothing more. Nothing less. As a human being, you can apply whatever meaning you want to it...pagan, Jewish, Christian, protection, mysticism.....it is up to you. A satanist may claim that a hexagram is a powerful tool to invoke Satan. A Christain may claim that it is the Sheild of David, it will protect you from Satan. There are those who claim the inverted triangles represent a sexual union.

So, what came first? The original intent? The satanic counterfiet? What if this was the shape of the shield carried by David in the Old Testament? Or what if it refers directly to God, who shielded David in battle?

Ever look at a snowflake? They all have 6 points. They all can form a Star of David. I have always seen a connection between snowflakes and the Star of David. To say the Star of David is a pagan symbol....does that then mean snowflakes are pagan symbols?

Israel has made a decision to use the Star of David on her flag. Is 62:1 shows us that a burning torch represents Israel's salvation. The word is not lamp, or flame, or burning bush, it is "burning torch" - something bright enough to light the way. So those who claim that the image of a burning bush should be on Israel's flag are incorrect as well.

As long as Israel flies the Star of David on her flag, I will use the symbol in my art, in my jewelry, in my adornments at home because for me, personally, it means that I stand with Israel, I support the Jews, I honor them as God's chosen people.

But I also claim the Star of David as my shield, my protection.

The Hebrew letter dalet, looks like a triangle and stands for the name, David, which means beloved.

God gave the rainbow to Noah as a promise, but that symbol has been hijacked by the gays. Was the hexagram given to God's people and then hijacked by others?

It is important to understand that the 5 pointed star together with a crescent moon have been internationally recognized as a symbol of the faith of Islam. It is featured on the flags of several muslim countries and other entities Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bosniaks, Malaysia, Mauritania, Pakistan, Turkey, Tunisia, Comoros, Cyrenaica, Hyderaad, Tatarstan, Uyghur, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan....Singapore, Janjira, Nation of Islam, Portsmouth UK, Alpha Theta Sigma, Shriners of North America, Red Cross, the badge of the New Orleans police department...and so much more. First used about 1453. Those symbols have always been used by pagans to worship sun, moon and sky gods. Think one might want to stay clear of organizations and other entities that use a 5-pointed star and/or the crescent moon. The 5-pointed star used alone has been called the "star of islam." Consider what it now means if you put that star on top of your christmas tree, or adorn it on the outside of your home. While a specific image may not have meaning to you, be aware of what the worldwide meaning and useage is.

I think Jehovah was leading my hand when I stopped drawing 5-pointed stars as a child.

Today, most of the world associates the Star of David with the Jewish people and with Israel. If you want to be associated with Israel, would that happen if you wear a cross? a 5-pointed star? a fleur-de-lies? a sword? Probably not.

There is yet one more use of the Star of David. It is the symbol representing the rebirth of the nation of Israel.....that G-d promised would happen. When the rabbi's (you probably still call them wise men) saw the star, Matt 2:10 says they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. That star in the sky alerted them to the coming of the Messiah. In the same way, the star in Israel's flag (the Star of David) announces the coming of the Messiah - because Israel had to become a state before He can come.

To me, for my own personal use, it is simply my sign that the Messiah is coming - my remembrance to study hard, to know the scriptures, to look for prophecy being fulfilled. And it shows the rest of the world that I identify with Israel, that no matter where I am, I stand with Israel.

What if your "pastor" is not a pastor?

One day in 10th grade English class, the teacher was having us write out definitions of words, or conjugating verbs or some such nonsense. I can't remember exactly what it was. We were all beyond bored with our homework. We were all miserable. We just were not learning a single thing by doing such repetitive stuff. So, we all got together and each one of us did one paragraph, then copied our work....so that there were 10 or so matching papers. We thought it was a brilliant idea.

We all got Fs and our parents were called to school.

I asked the teacher what difference it made? She said there were 2 things. One, I needed to learn to simply follow the rules. And two, I needed to write my own answers because once in awhile it might be different from someone else and everyone might learn something from what I wrote.

I learned a few things that day. Never cheat. It's just not worth it! Write what you think - it really isn't always the best thing to write what you think others want you to write.

She was a teacher. She took the time to answer my questions. Good or bad, right or wrong....she was a teacher.

I usually learned something new just about every day in school. Now remember, I've said that I went to Sunday School, church, evening church, Wednesday prayer meeting, Thursday Bible study, weekend youth group and every evening when there was a revival we were at the church.

Did I learn something new every time? Hardly! Why? Because none of my questions ever got answered? No, because my "pastor" was not a teacher and therefore, not called to the ministry. It was merely an income for him, a "job". Is your pastor a shepherd and teacher? How can you know?

First, the word "pastor" is nowhere in scripture. It is a translation of a word that means "shepherd".

Eph 4:11 says in the consistent translation:

And he himself gave
on-the-one-hand THE apostles,
on-the-other-hand THE prophets,
on-the-other-hand THE bringers-of-good-news,
on-the-other-hand THE shepherds and teachers.

I love the consistent translation because you can SEE what is there and what isn't there. In Greek, the word "the" is "tous". And in the Greek text, the word "tous" is there!

So what is different about each line and each noun above?

There is NO article "THE" before "teachers" in the last line.

This would mean that shepherds and teachers are one in the same. A shepherd has to teach and a teacher has to shepherd. They are one and the same person.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but their Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scripture has:

And he gave
the indeed apostles,
the but prophets
the but evangelizers
the but shepherds and teachers

At least they have left the word "the" in the interlinear.

An online Greek interlinear has:

And same gives
the indeed apostles
the yet prophets
the yet well-messengers
the yet shepherds and teachers

The King James translated the word "shepherd" to pastor. While there are 3 interlinears that show the word is shepherd, the KJ changed the word to pastor. And all 3 interlinears show that the article "THE" is missing before the word "teacher".

So in the KJ, it reads:

And he gave
some, apostles:
and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;

Why did the KJ leave OUT the article? What good is an article? It is a pointer. IF you studied English in high school, you will know that "the" is a definite article that points to the noun that follows it. For example, "let's read the book" means a specific book. "let's read a book" means any book. And what sense does it make to leave it out: "let's read book"?????

I believe that the apostles put every single word into the Greek text by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. What right does a human man have to remove it? How can anyone claim that the King James version of the Bible is the "inspired" or "only" version? (OK, that's a whole new "if-ism"!)

Back to this "if". If a shepherd and teacher are one and the same, then if your pastor (shepherd) is not a teacher, then he was never called to the ministry.

90% of the pastors are NOT teaching today. Thus they were never called to the ministry. What are the chances that you attend a "church" with a pastor who was not called to the ministry? Pretty good I imagine!

Now, you may think your pastor is teaching. But pay attention.

Does he leave the pulpit when a guest pastor is there? (I think he would be wanting to know what someone else is teaching, don't you?) Probably not a teacher.

Does he answer your questions with scripture references.....or with words that will attempt to make you feel good? If he doesn't answer with scripture, he's probably not a teacher.

Do you attend one of those places where the pastor seems to be more interested in numbers - who can get the biggest attendance by getting the people riled up, excited, "all shook up"? If you are just there to get excited, you probably are NOT learning much of anything. He's probably not a teacher.

Ask to attend a staff meeting. Listen to what they are doing to gain attendance. Might change how you think about your "church".

Consider Eph 4:14 where it states in the KJ:

That we, henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

If you attend one of those places where they work hard to get you all excited, then you are like a child, being led around....and I think it is Satan who is deceiving you. He (Satan) certainly doesn't want you to learn anything about what the Bible really has to say. He'd much rather have you all excited, singing, crying, jumping up and down, waving your hands.....BUT

what did you learn?

Did the shepherd (pastor) TEACH you anything? Anything that is actually in the Bible? Anything other than how to make it through the next week?

Interesting, huh?

Oh, and not just church, you should be learning in Sunday School as well. You should learn every time you step foot into the place.

If your shepherd (pastor) is a teacher, then I would think that he/she would be teaching you scripture. And not a translation of what someone else thought scripture said. I think they would get to the Greek and Hebrew texts and show you the real meaning of each and every word that was in the original text. It is truly an amazing study!

The sad truth is that 90% of the "pastors" were never called to the ministry. They never had a teacher who was a shepherd and they never learned what the scripture really has to say. It is a job to them.

I know a pastor who flys to Las Vegas to drink and gamble but says "don't tell anyone". He has over 15,000 people in his "church".

I know a pastor who says he understands what I am saying with my if-isms, but that the people who listen to him would never believe him, so he won't "teach" it. He maybe has 200 people in his "church".

I know a pastor who is gay and believes he is a "holy" man. Again, a "church" of about 3000.

I know a pastor who can get you so riled up you will be in tears and walk out thinking you just experienced the most moving, fulfilling day of your entire life - but he never said one word about the Bible. His "church" has about 2000.

I know a pastor who will let everyone get up and say anything they want and then he will read for 10 minutes from a daily devotional. He has a "church" of about 50.

I don't attend "church" today because I'm pretty certain none in my area have shepherds (pastors) who are teachers. And I think most are filled with Satan and his deception. (again, another If-ism)

And not a single one of them (pastors) will ever teach you anything that is actually in scritpure.

If your pastor is not a shepherd, if your pastor is not a teacher, if your paster was never called to the ministry, how do you ever expect to learn anything?

I once read a quote that said, "My mind is made up, don't confuse me with the facts!" Is that you? Your mind is made up and you don't really want to know what scripture has to say? You "think" you know all the facts and there is nothing else you need to learn?

So if you know all that, perhaps you can answer my question - why did the translators of almost every Bible out there leave out the article and change the word shepherd to pastor and NOT tell us that a shepherd has to be a teacher and a teacher has to be a shepherd and that if they are not, they were not called to the ministry and if you attend a "church" where you do not learn what scripture really has to say, then you are most likely being deceived as it clearly states in Eph 4:14?

OK, you don't really have to send me an answer. I already know it is Satan's way of deceiving you. Just food for thought with another one of my "ifs".

So, now, IF you know that your "church" or your "pastor" are not teaching you what scripture really states, WHY are you still attending there? For years, I told myself I simply went to church to fulfil a social need, or to sing in the choir, to teach my sons. What a cop-out that was! I went because Satan had me in his lure and I couldn't get out. That "preacher" made me feel good about myself. He made me walk away elated. But I certainly was NOT learning anything about scripture.

13 years later, I am finally on a path where I am actually studying scripture. I am LEARNING what it says. I am sorting out the mistakes, errors and ommissions of the King James and other translations. I am excited and elated and uplifted daily because I am learning something new every single time I study. The "choir" is now my song to Jehovah. My socialization is with others who truly study scripture in it's original format (Greek and Hebrew). My writing here - an effort to leave a legacy to my sons. What if G-d is really only shaking His little finger at us?

When I was a kid, I remember asking a preacher what G-d had been doing since Jesus died. After all, the New Testament ended with a forecast of what was coming…..but no one had been writing about what had happened. The preacher told me that G-d was asleep. That He had been asleep for the last 2000 years.

Well, in my young mind, I could hardly fathom that G-d was asleep. But over the years, various other preachers would say similar things. Not that G-d was necessarily asleep, but that He would not do anything until the Messiah returned. Or that He was “leaving earth alone”.

One day recently, I was visiting mom and there was some natural disaster that had just happened – I can’t remember which one – and mom said “G-d is only shaking His little finger at us….just wait until He shakes His whole fist!”

And that single statement hit me and stuck with me (Mom is just so smart!) It got me to wondering…..what will happen if He shakes His whole hand at us? And how many times has He shaken His little finger at us?

PS 9:16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executed

PS 109:27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

Matthew 10:29, if a small sparrow falls to the ground, God knows. The Lord goes on to say, ". . . the very hairs of your head are all numbered." (Matt. 10:30) Nothing takes the Lord by surprise. The smallest event does not escape His Omnipresent eye. Zechariah 4:10 says, "For who hath despised the day of small things?

I went online and decided to see if there are correlations between events that destroy us…and our treatment of Israel. Not “us” as individuals, but “us” as a nation. Here’s what I found:

10/30/91 Oslo Accord signed – land for peace
10/31/91 The Perfect Storm – a storm stronger than any in recorded history hit the coast off of Gloucester MA. Waves 100 ft high. Destroyed Bush’s Maine home. Then the storm tracked down the east coast, the opposite direction of hurricanes.

8/23/92 Hurricane Andrew devastated Florida with $30B in losses

1/16/94 President Clinton and Syria President Hafez Assad met to discuss Israel giving the Golan Heights to Syria.

I know there are many other events. Big and small. I could probably connect every single earthquake or tornado to something our leaders said against Israel. I started to look at stock market dips and it seems that each one of them can also be tied to less than 24 hours after our government has said or done something against Israel.

So, if all of these are just G-d shaking His “little” finger at us, what can we expect to happen should He shake his entire hand at us?

What will it take for each of us to step back and look at history and understand that G-d is not asleep. He is not waiting for the Messiah to return. He is active, oh! Ever so active, in every single moment of our lives. He is listening to our every move. If He knows when a small sparrow falls to the ground, He surely knows when we write or speak or act against Israel.

May Jehovah protect and shelter me when He shakes His whole hand at America.

What if the world IS a stage and we are merely players?

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players......

But what if that's really true in the grande scheme of things? The world is a stage and the play has been going on for almost 6000 years now. The leading role is held by Jehovah G-d. His actors - His chosen people are the Jews. The other leading role is held by Satan, the adversary, and his actors include everyone else in the world.

The overall plot is that Jehovah wants His chosen people to acknowledge that He is their G-d. He even sent His son, Jehovah Jesus Messiah, to earth to be their King, but they rejected Him. The Jews are still awaiting the Messiah. And because He will come again - that's not such a problem at all.

Jehovah created His assembly - the assembly of the Jewish people. All they need do is call on the armies of G-d and G-d will lead them. It's been that way throughout history. A king that repented and fought for Israel - God would forgive them and they had a good reign. If they had a wicked king, then Israel suffered.

Follow that down to today when the Jews first returned to Israel, they fought for the land, won, and started to rebuild. Then gradually, Israel began to give the land away and problems have beset the Jews. They simply need a leader who will repent and fight for Israel.

In the meantime, Satan has been gradually taking over the rest of the world, has been busy making himself look like God. He took over the churches, incorporated pagan rituals with religious rituals, changed the calendar, corrupted every world leader and is working to get the entire world to turn against the Jews. He even got translators to change words in scritpure. He has used "christians" over the centuries to persecute and execute the Jews. His last holdout are the Jews - God's chosen people. He wants all of Jerusalem.

And this whole stage is made up of people who come and go, who enter and leave as they are born and die, and each one of us has an opportunity to view this play. The "plan" of salvation has been here from day one. In the Old Testament days, it was a sacrifice, a willingness to put a lamb on the alter....and then the Messiah became the lamb that was sacrificed for our sins.

But that is where Satan really took hold. He wants us to think that the Messiah left the Jews and turned to the Gentiles. That's where the play starts to get reinterpreted by so many who can't step back and look at what's been going on for thousands of years. So let's step back into the world play. Jehovah sent His son to earth. The Jews rejected Him as their King. Nothing changed. The Jews are still Jehovah's chosen people. All Jews will be "saved" because they are His people.

Gentiles who believe this can be grafted into the branch and have eternal life. But how many Gentiles actually believe that the Jews are Jehovah's chosen people? How many Gentiles send their gifts to Israel? support a synagogue? keep Passover?

In the meantime, Satan is reigning in today's church. Of course, he "wants" you to go do missions and convert the Jews and get them to join his church...take them away from the synagogues and temples. Yikes!!! He wants you to give your money to grow his churches. He wants you to celebrate all the pagan holidays. And most importantly, he, Satan, wants you to think it's easy to have eternal life. And he certainly doesn't want anyone to study world history....or even know what's going on in the world today. Think about it. You probably know more about the lives of Hollywood stars than you do about anything happening this month in Jerusalem. Why? Probably because Satan doesn't want you even thinking about prophecy that is being fulfilled in our lifetime.

Always remember that Satan said he would make himself "like the most high". He's been working on it for centuries. We are on the stage for but a "second". Very few of us can even see the play, much less care about it, want to learn more of it, want to study scripture, know what prophecies have been fulfilled and those that are being fulfilled today. Very few of us actually know who Jehovah Jesus Messiah is.

So, what if the world is a stage...and we are just players? Who's side are you on? Do you support the Jews? Or do you support your local church?

When I was a child, I remember an evangelist saying we were living in the Philadelphia church. I honestly thought the man was crazy because I was living in Indiana at that time!!! Preachers just have no idea what kids hear, do they?

But that was the late 50s, and I think he was on the verge of being both right and wrong. If we can put approximate dates to each of the 7 churches - periods of time in history....he was on the cusp for sure.

Periods of church history:

1. Ephesus (desireable) Pentecost to 100AD

Good works, rejection of false teachings

2. Smyrna (myrrh – embalming the dead) 100AD- 313 AD – persecuted

major persuctions of the church under 10 different Roman Emperors:

1. Nero AD54

2. Domitian AD 81

3. Trajan, AD 98

4. Adrian, AD 117

5. Septimus Severus, AD 193

6. Maximum, AD 235

7. Decius, AD 249

8. Valerian, AD 254

Constantine was converted and declared that Christianity would be the State Religion. Incorporation of Pagan rituals into religious rituals in order to get more converts.

It's all about what your own personal rights are...the rights of this group or that, the rights of one sector of a population against another. We are definitely living in this period today!

I have read those who believe the Laodicea period started as early as 1880, but I don't see how anyone can believe that revivals ended then. They were definitely going on in the 50s and 60s when I was a child. And there was a continued emphasis on missions during that time frame. Not going to argue it because again, this is simply what I believe.

When you step back and look at the overall, global picture....the meanings of the words of the names of the churches can be tied to periods of history - in the order that the churches were listed. And while the dates are approximate, the overall sequence of events is all there. Because we are at the "end", we can look back and see it exactly as it happened. But do we have the faith to look forward and know what is next?

In Rev 3:17 it was written to the Laodiceans "Because you-are-saying, Because I-am rich and I-have-become-rich-and-am-still-rich and also I-am not having one need, and you-know not absolutely that you yourself are the one miserable and pitiful and destitute and blind and naked,"

May I always know that I am miserable, pitiful, destitute, blind and naked. Because if I am such, then I will always study to learn the truth.

What if God really doesn't love the "world"?

You should be laughing about now over all my childhood questions. Didn't you have them?

Jn 3:16 - we all know it so I won't quote it here. Didn't you have these questions?

1. How can G-d LOVE the world and allow guys I went to high school with be killed in VietNam?
2. How could HE let little children in China starve? (Well, Grandma always did say to eat all my food because there were starving children in China!)
3. How could He have killed every single living person on the planet except for 8 people during the flood? Seriously, didn't He love the entire world?
4. Why would He have given us all these different languages at the tower of Babel and made everyone go live somewhere else?

So I never quite understood that verse. OK....I never actually BELIEVED that verse - in the context that I never believed God loved every single person who ever lived on earth!!!

Unless you start to define the word "world". Could it have different meanings?

Does the word "world" perhaps mean something like "age" or "period" or "time"?

In Greek....ok, was the word translated 100% correctly into English.....or is the word "world" simply the "best possible" translation and it doesn't mean world as we know it today? I think we can all agree that the King's English of the 1500s is quite a bit different from our English today. Even today, words that we know and understand in the US have a completely different meaning in England and they are the same word.

Was there a world from Adam to the flood that G-d destroyed. We know that He covered the earth with water for 40 days and everyone perished. Did He love those people? If He loved them, why the flood to destroy them? I think we can pretty much agree that He did not "love" the "world" before the flood.

A second "world" from the flood to the tower of Babel that He again destroyed by dispersing it all over the earth?

A third "world" from Babel to perhaps the present day and this "world" is His covenant with Abraham reaching down through the Jews.....and that He has allowed Satan to contol the rest of the "world"?

Gen 17:4

Not only do you need to define "world" - you need to define "love" - which is actually the word "cherish" which is different than love. I can really understand it if it is translated this way:

Jehovah cherished the "people of the earth that HE made HIS covenant with" and came to earth as the promised Messiah of the Jews and if you believe that........

I don't think G-d loves the whole world at all. He couldn't possibly love all the horror that is among us these days. But if I understand this correctly, then He still does love the Jews - His chosen people. And Satan has control over the rest of the "world". And yes, we can be "saved" and grafted in.....but for the moment...I just want to clarify that G-d does NOT love the entire inhabited earth. He doesn't love you if you are a sinner. He doesn't love you if you practice sinful things. This verse does not cover those individuals. He doesn't love anyone....He cherished His people (the Jews) so much.....and that I have no problem believing and understanding at all.

Isn't it amazing how we have gotten things so twisted up with these corrupt translations? Ah! Was and is Satan behind all this mis-translation? Is that yet another way he is trying to be like the most High?

Was it Satan's plan to change the calander as well and thus take us away from the proper dates of the Messiah's birth and death?

and while we're on the subject of translating "words" and what the really mean.....

Christ is a transliteration of the Greek word Christos which actually should be translated Messiah.

So then should anti-christ actually be "anti-Messiah"?

How can you know something if you don't know what that something is? How can we know who Christ is if we should be learning who the Messiah is?

And no, I no longer believe what the preachers have been preaching for centuries. You cannot take scripture and take it out of context and apply it to today's living and make Jn 3:16 mean that God loves you. We have to put it back into context, study history, study Hebrew and Greek, and really understand what it meant.

God so cherished the Jews, His chosen people, that He sent His only begotten Son, the Messiah......

and if we understand fully that His chosen people are the Jews

and that the world is full of anti-semetism because Satan has been working for centuries to make himself equal to G-d

and that the churches of the world today are mostly run as Satan's way of controlling the entire world because there's not one of them left that teach the truth about what's in the Bible - they all celebrate Christmas and Easter....

well, it does answer those childhood questions I had.

G-d does not love the world as I know it, He cherishes the Jews.

In the Consistent New Testament, Jn 3:16: For thus the God cherished the world so-that he-gave his son, namely-the only-begotten, in-order-that every-one the one trusting with-reference-to him might not perish, BUT he-might-be-having life eternal.

maybe that really means.....

Jn 3:16: Jehovah G-d cherished the "people of the earth that HE made HIS covenant with" (the Jews) and dispatched his son to earth as the promised Messiah of the Jews and if you trust that, then you will have life eternal.

Was it a cross?

There's a recent movie out called "Cross" and I'm sure it will make millions of dollars. It amazes me that people will assume something is so just because a preacher, priest, rabbi - whoever- says it is so.

So the question today is - If Jesus died on a cross as in 2 pieces of wood crossed over each other....or did he die hanging from a single pole. Something never depicted in photographs. And why worry about the difference at all?

The Imperial Bible-Dictionary says: "The Greek word for cross, stau•ros′, properly signified a stake, an upright pole, or piece of paling, on which anything might be hung, or which might be used in impaling [fencing in] a piece of ground. . . . Even amongst the Romans the crux (from which our cross is derived) appears to have been originally an upright pole" [Imperial Bible Dictionary, edited by P. Fairbairn (London, 1874), Vol. I, p. 376].

Consider this. If you are hanging from a pole, your hands are above your head - your rib cage tightens, and makes it hard to breath. Blood slows down. There is less oxygen in the body.

Dieing on a pole would have been a much slower process than dieing on a cross.

Why is it important? I believe that if He died on a pole....and you wear a cross as a pendant or have a cross in a church, then you are in danger of using a form of an idol in worship. If you worship a cross - and that is not what He died on at all - then it would be idol worship. I walk into an assembly and see a cross, I walk out.

Finally, you can google this and learn that the cross was a symbol used in pagan religions as early as 1500 years before Jehovah Jesus Messiah was on earth. It is, yet again, something else that was pagan that was brought into the "church" in order to get the pagans to join in the worship. It was not even used in the "church" until 200 years after the death of the Messiah. The cross was not used in early paintings until the over 600 years after His death. And then it looked like the letter "T" - not as a cross would look today.

The marking of a cross upon the forehead and the chest is regarded as a talisman against the powers of demons. A pagan practice.

But more important that that, I feel that Satan (the Adversary) has been working for centuries to alter scripture, add pagan items into scripture in order to lead true believers away from Jehovah and into the "kingdom" of Satan.

All my life, the cross was used in every church service I attended. But if there's a hint of it being a pagan item, of it representing idol worship, then for me, it would be wrong to continue to use it.

Something to think about.

But let not this one thing be escaping YOUR notice, cherished ones, that one day beside Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as day one.

Year 1 - 1000 is day 1
Year 1001 - 2000 is day 2
Year 2001 - 3000 is day 3
Year 3001 - 4000 is day 4
Year 4001 - 5000 is day 5
Year 5001 - 6000 is day 6
Year 6001 - 7000 is the sabbath, the day of rest for the earth.

In the Jewish calendar this is year 5770. Thirty years left before the earth's sabbath begins?

But as with each day in a calendar year, sunset comes at a differnt minute, so really, it could come sooner than 30 years or be more than 30 years.

If you don't follow the Hebrew calendar, how will you know?

If you don't understand that sunset is the "dawn" of a new day using a lunar calendar, how will you know?

And if you don't know that the Sabbath is a day of rest, how will you know?

What if there are 30 years left until Israel rules the world? What would you do different?

Maybe today is a good day to start making those changes!

If you give worth to the thought of Valentine's Day, is it idolitry?

When I was in the 6th grade, I had to do a report on the origins of each of the major holidays. From that time, I have known exactly what is pagan based. Do you? It is amazing to me that while history teaches us that almost all of our current day holidays are based on paganism….churches, Christians and others continue to celebrate them and try to tie them into religion.

February 14th: Established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 AD. In ancient Rome, Lupercalia was observed on Feb 13 thru 15. It was an archaic rite connected to fertility. The church decided to celebrate Valentine’s feast day in the middle of February in an effort to Christianize celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia.

Nimrod was the baal or sun god of the ancient pagans. Born on 1/6, winter solstice. 40 days after that, his mother was to present herself for purifications. That would be 2/15.

Lupercalia: Called the “hunter of wolves”.

Who was Saint Valentine:
Valentine of Rome, martyred about AD269
Valentine of Terni, martyred sometime after AD 197.
No romantic elements are present in the original early medieval biographies of either of these martyrs. Saint Valentine was not linked to romance until the 14th century. In 1969, the Roman Catholic Calendar was revised and the feastday of Saint Valentine on February 14 was removed for the following reason: “Though the memorial of Saint Valentine is ancient, it is left to particular calendars, since, apart from his name, nothing is knowon of Saint Valentine except that he was buried on the Via Flaminia on February 14”

Sending Valentines:
Did not start until 1847 when Esther Howland developed a successful business with hand-made Valentine cards based on British models. Hallmark pushed that over the top starting c 1975. Today, one billion valentines are sent each year.

Candy: Not part of the traditions until the 1800s

Cupid: another name for the child Nimrod, meaning “desire”. The Book of Daniel calls him “the desire of women”. The son of Cush the Ethiopian. Later substituted with a “fair Cupid” of European tradition.

You can google each one of these and see that they are traditions steeped in paganism. Jesus did not celebrate it. Most of our own ancestors before the 1800s did not celebrate it. Yet it has become one of the biggest commercial holidays ever.

Wikipeda defines idolatry as worship of any cult image, idea or object, as opposed to the worship of a monotheistic God.

The word “worship” is derived from the Old English words meaning “worth-ship” – giving worth to something. So if you give “worth” to Valentine’s Day, you are worshiping the event.

The word “idea” means – whatever is before the mind when one thinks. Very often, ideas are construed as representational images; ie. Images of some object.

So, if you give worth to the thought of Valentines, it is idolatry.

Look at Ex 20:4 –

“Thou shalt not make unto the any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, orthat is in the water underthe earth; thous shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generaton of them that hate me and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

The word “graven” means “strongly fixed”. I always thought it meant carved, shaped, formed.

What if…..this verse means that we are not to have any strongly fixed idea or give worth to anything not in direct reference to Jehovah?

What if we celebrate these pagan holidays, then will Jehovah visit the iniquity of the fathers upon our children, grandchildren great and great great grandchildren?

I have been studying the words repent, and regret this week.

Metamelomai – regret. Judas regretted his decision to betray Jesus. The only thing he could do was exactly what he did do – return the money.
Metanoeo – repent – you can repent from the way you are living, but you cannot repent from a deed done.

So, I regret that I have spent much of my life celebrating pagan holidays and I am repenting and changing my ways – I will no longer give these events any worth.

If the Hebrew calendar IS Jehovah's calendar, then our holidays are truly bogus!

What if the Hebrew calendar IS the one that Jehovah goes by?

I always had this question as a kid that absolutely no one could explain to me. If the Bible said to keep the SEVENTH day (Saturday) as a day of rest…..why/how/when did “we” make the first day of the week, Sunday, a day of rest??? And at the age of 58….I STILL don’t “get”it. Ok, yes, I understand about the evolution of our calendar based on switching from moon to a sun based system, and from a sunset to a sunrise based system. But why?

We can look back in history and know that the Romans started this. They established the Julian calendar which we kept until the 15th century when we started the Gregorian calendar. That was Pope Paul III – once again, a Roman Catholic. It would take another 200 years for this calendar to be widely accepted and wasn’t introduced in Russia until 1918!!!

The Hebrews have always kept the same calendar, and it is based on the Torah which are the first 5 chapters of the Bible. Today’s calender is overlaid onto a Gregorian calendar so you can easily understand the dates.

They still KEEP the seventh day as a holy one, as a day of rest. It starts Friday at sunset and ends Saturday at sunset.

Here are the criteria for the Hebrew calendar – which I consider to be Jehovah’s calendar:

1. It was lunisolar –basedon the moon phase and the time of the solar year
a. 12 lunar months of 29 or 30 days each
b. Num 10:10 shows the importance of lunar months
2. Each month starts with a new moon
3. Each day starts at sunset
a. Genesis “there was evening and there was morning”
4. The next day starts at the next sunset
a. No time zones
b. No standard time deviations
5. There are 7 days in a week.
6. It was observational. The beginning of each month was determined by the high court based on testimony of witnesses who had observed a new crescent moon.
a. The timing is now done mathematically
7. There is an 11 day difference between 12 lunar months and 1 solar year, soothe Hebrew calendarisadjusted about every 2-3 years.
8. It starts with Adams birth.

Because there were no calendars or clocks, they watched the skies to determinine which festival to keep. These are the 3 High Holy Days.

Pesach – Passover – 7 days with and 8th day – 15 Nisan

Lev 23:4 Passover begins on the 14th day of Nisan.
Lev 23:5 Feast of unleavened bread begins on the 15th and lasts 7 days
The first day is holy, no work is done

Shavuot – Feast of Weeks – 50 days after the day after Passover

Sukkot – Feast of Tabernacles – 7 day festival with 8th day – last great day of the year.

What if this is Jehovah’s calendar? If we study and learn this calendar, we can then understand events, times, places of the past….as well as prophecy in the future.

So, of course, in using a Gregorian calendar, the Roman Catholics can quite easily point out that Jesus was resurrected on Sunday.

1. This calendear did not exist when Jesus was here on earth.
2. Jesus was Jewish and would have observed a Hebrew calendar
a. He kept the Sabbath – Luke 4:16
3. On the Hebrew calendar, Jesus arose at sunset on 11 Nisan, Saturday. It was day 4 of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, also the Feast of First Fruits began at 1 moment after sunset.
4.Remember that the term “dawn” of a “new day” would physically be at dusk on a Hebrew calendar as their day begins at sunset.
5. Jesus rose at “dawn” which was sunset on Saturday.
6. Anything that takes scripture and makes it read that Jesus rose on a Sunday morning thus becomes a deception –something that Jesus warned against.

Time and again, scripture tells us to keep the Sabbath. The seventh. Nowhere does it tell us to keep the first. And before you begin to quote scripture, re-read the above and look at that scripture from a Hebrew standpoint. After all. ALL of scripture was written by Hebrews, to them, about them. There was absolutely, positively, without question….not a single solitary church in existence at the time it was written!!!

Eight times scripture refers to the first day of the week:

1. Matthew 28:1: "In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher."

In the consistent New Testament, this reads: But late of-the-Sabbaths, with-the getting-light-on with-reference-to day one, of-the-Sabbaths, Mary the Magdalene came and the other Mary to-observe the grave.

a. It was a Hebrew Sabbath – our Saturday. The consistent New Testament takes the meaning of the original Greek word and places it in scripture. So that Greek word literally meant “Sabbath”.

2. Mark 16:2: "And very early in the morning THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun."

CNT: And very early in-the-morning, of-the day one of-the Sabbaths they-are-coming upon the tomb, as the sun was having-risen.

a. Same as 1. A. above

3. Mark 16:9: "Now when Jesus was risen, early the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils.

CNT: But having-stood-again in-the-morning on-first day of-the-Sabbath he-appeared first to-Mary the Magdalene, from who he-had cast-out seven little demons.

a. Once again, a Sabbath.

4. Luke 24:1: "Now UPON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing their spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

CNT: On-the-other-hand on-the day one of-the Sabbaths, of-deep daybreak, they-came upon the sepulcher, bringing spices which thet-prepared, and certain ones together-with them.

a. On a Sabbath

5. John 20:1. "THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher."

CNT: But on the day one of-the Sabbaths Mary the Magdalene is-coming in-the-morning, while being still dark, with-reference-to the tomb, and she-is-looking-at the stone having-en-and-still-removed out-of the tomb.
a. On a Sabbath.
6. John 20:19: "Then the same day at evening, being THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."

CNT: Therefore as it was being evening on that day, namely-the day one of-the Sabbaths, and as the doors were having been-shut-and-still-shut were-in-which the disciples were having-been-and-still-were-gathered-together, because-of the fear of-the Jews, the Jesus came and stood into the midst, and he-is-saying to-them: Peace to-YOU..

a. On a Sabbath

7. Acts 20:7: "And upon THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together."

CNT: But in the first of-the Sabbaths, as we were having-been-and-still-were-gathered-together to-break bread, the Paul was-discoursing with-the, being-about to-be-being-out on-the next-day, and-additionally he-was-prolonging the word as-far-as midnight

8. 1 Corinthians 16:2: "Upon the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK let everyone of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.

CNT: According-to number one of-Sabbaths let each of-YOU be-putting beside himself, storing something which if he-might-be-being-prospered, in-order-that not at-the-time-that I-might-come, then, there-might-be-coming-to-pass collections.

a. Again – Sabbath

I also went to a Greek interlinear and while I do not know Greek....you can easily read that the word is "sabbath" in the Greek.

What if Greek word really does mean Sabbath – Saturday, which began right at sunset on Friday. Then we should not be observing it on a Sunday morning for sure!!!

Andif the Hebrew calendar is the one that Jesus Messiah observed while He was here on earth, then we should do no less than observe it ourselves!

If the Magi were Rabbi, then the carols are all wrong!

What if

The magi was a rabbi?

I grew up believing that there were 3 wise men who came to see the baby Jesus. That it happened sometime between birth and age 3. That they had names. That they brought him Frankincense, Gold and Myrh. That they were dressed like kings. They wore crowns and robes, adorned with jewels. You’ve seen the pictures just like I did as a kid.

But I had so many questions about all that. How could 3 people get the attention of King Herod?

Did King Herod die before they arrived?

If you simply read Matthew, Chpt 2, there are all kinds of what-ifs.

“there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem”

1. where does it tell us there were just 3 of them?

2. How did “wise men” turn into “3 kings of Orient” in the hymn?
a. The Orient would be “south east” of Jerusalem!

3. They went to Jerusalem….Jesus was born in Bethlehem

“we have seen his star in the east…”

4. they came from the east. But they saw his star “in” the east?

“when Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him”

5. 3 men got the attention of the King and “all” Jerusalem. Remember, there were hundreds of thousands of Israelites in Jerusalem when Jesus Messiah was born – all there for the census and the Feast of Tabernacles.

“and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, til it came and stood over where the young child was”

6. the star MOVED! So why do all the Christmas pagaents have it stationary over the stable???

“and when they were come into the house”

7. how did the stable get turned into a house?

“Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee nto Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him”

Herod died less than a month after Jesus Messiah was born. So that means these wise men had to be there before then!

“he took the young child and his mother by night and departed into Egypt”

8. Why at night?

“and was there until the death of Herod”

9. So, were they in Egypt less than 30 days?

So many “what if’s”

1. What if the star first appeared when Jesus was conceived at Hanukkah, BCE5?

a. Plenty of time for the wise men to travel – a full 9 months

2. What if the wise men came from Babylon?
a. It is directly east of Jerusalem
b. It was a Jewish center
1) 600 years earlier, Hebrews took Babylon captive
2) more ethnic Hebrews were in Babylon alone, than in all of Israel
3)Babylon was a Rabbinical headquarters and had numerous Hebrew seminaries.
4) It was a magnet for devout and ethnic Hebrews
5) Babylon’s royal treasure house still possessed the objects looted from the Jerusalem temple more than 500 years earlier.
6) Babylon’s rabbis werethe source of Jerusalem’s new copies of the Holy scripture scrolls
7) Babylon had been the source of the Talmud

Remember, the prophecy was a long, forgotten, unanticipated one. At least 600 years old? Who would even know what a star in the sky was for? Only learned men, great scholars, men who studied the Hebrew scrolls would know this prophecy and be actively looking for it.

3. What if there were hundreds in the group? Dozens of Rabbis, Hebrew seminary students, devout and faithful Hebrews. Many already making their pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the High Holy days of Sukkot. Being devout Hebrews, they would have longed to go to Jerusalem forthis event.

4. What if they all (hundreds?) arrive in Jerusalem on the first night of Sukkot, the beginning of the 7 day long Feast of Tabernacles, the first night of which is an Annual High Sabbath, a High Holdy Day, in the fall of BCE4. October 4 on our calendar.

They arrive at the same time Joseph and Mary arrive….right at sundown.

Jesus Messiah is born a little later that night. In a temporary tabernacle, a sukkah and placed in a food crib (because he is the Bread of Life.

5. It is doubtful that 3 wise men would get the attention of King Herod. But hundreds and hundreds of Hebrew Rabbis and scholars, a unified mob….highly respected Babylonian Hebrew rabbis….all asking where the new born King was….yes, that might just get Herod’s attention!!! Plus the attention of ALL of Jerusalem!

6. What if scripture is true and the star really did move? It was a guiding light? It then stood still directly over the Messiah? It did not rise. It did not set. It did not move across the sky. It was not a comet, alignment of planets, etc. What if no one else saw it? Jesus Messiah only spoke to Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, while the others heard a voice, but did not hear a meaningful conversation. What if it wasThe Angel of The Lord?

7. What if the group of Rabbis departed Jerusalem and arrived in Bethlehem (4 miles away) the very next evening after the Messiah’s birth? The “Pilgrimage” Sabbath had ended, many Hebrews had departed and lodgings were now available indoors, so the baby Jesus had been moved inside a house. What if Joseph took the family and departed forEgypt very late that same 2nd night and never returned to Bethlehem? From birth to departure, Jesus spent no more than 36 hours in Bethlehem.

8. What if Epiphany is simply a Roman Catholic myth?

9. What if Mary is NOT supposed to be worshiped? Scripture tells us that the wise men ONLY bowed to and worshiped the newborn Messiah!!! How did the Catholics evolve that into worshiping Mary?

10. What if Joseph took his family to the nearest part of Egypt? Just outside the reach of Herod. Perhaps to current day Gaza or Sinai? Not Cairo. Not the Nile River.

11. What if Jesus was circumcised on the 8th day – it is a special Sabbath. It would only make sense that a Hebrew King be circumcised and named on a Sabbath.

12. What if King Herod did die within 3 weeks of Jesus Messiah’s birth? We know that he died late October BCE4? Jesus returned from Egypt less than a month after His birth. They went to Nazareth, avoided Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

13. According to Hebrew law, a woman was unable to enter a temple until 40 days after birth. At that time she was ritually cleansed and eligible to enter the temple. He would have been presented at the Hebrew Temple in Jerusalem to officially record his birth and to dedicate Him to God.

14. What if you know the scriptures? Then you will come to know that Christmas carols are merely folklore based on Roman Catholic myths and fables. No 3 kings. No orient!

What if the Magi was a Rabbi?

If you celebrate Halloween, then you are celebrating a pagan holiday.

Does anyone know how it originated or what it represents?

Halloween = All Hallows' Eve, the eve of All Saints' Day which is November 1. A time of pagan festivities. It originates from the celtic festival of Samhain. The word, Samhain, means "the god of the dead. The Celts believed that the border between this world and the otherworld became thin on Sanhain, allowing spirits to pass through. It is the night during which the division between the world of the living and the other world was blurred so spirits of the dead and inhabitants from the underworld were able to walk free on the earth. It was believed necessary to dress as a spirit or otherworldly creature when venturing outdoors to blend in, and this is where dressing in such a manner for Halloween comes from.

Also known as "the day of the dead".

Costumes, lanterns, trick or treat, pumpkin carving, bonfires and more.... each one of these traditions has it's origins in a pagan ritual that has evolved into today's activities.

Now, the church decided to establish All Saints day on November 1, so that the eve, October 31, would be the beginning of honoring saints. Incorporating pagan holidays into the "christain" calendar was simply a method for the Roman Catholic church to convert the pagans. Pope Gregory the First said in 601AD, - if a group of people worshiped a tree, rather than cut it down, consecrate it to Christ and allow it's continued worship.

All Saints day was a celebration of the start of a new cycle of fertility for the celtic Goddess Eiseria. So that, in itself, is also pagan.

If you don't do the research, then you will think it's just another "fun" holiday. But if you do the research, you will know that this is yet another pagan holiday and should not be observed by anyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah.

Sukkot - the birthday of the Messiah

Imagine living in the year 4 CE. It is October 4, or 15 Tishri 3758 on the Hebrew Calendar. At sunset, tonight, it is the dawn of Sukkot, (starts at sunset on October 2, 2009) the first day of a High Holy Day, a Pilgrimage Sabbath. Everyone who is Hebrew is required to travel to Jerusalem to attend this 8 day festival. In addition, the Roman Empire has ordered that a census be taken…..and you have to travel to the town of your ancestors to be counted as part of that family’s descendants. There are thousands and thousands of people in Jerusalem for the High Holy Day which starts tonight. Each family is required to build a sukk’ah, a temporary dwelling, a booth, a temporary tabernacle, and dwell in it for the 7 days of this feast of tabernacles, or sometimes called the feast of Ingathering.

These booths are erected to house families with some bare comforts and food for the seven days. (It would be like us going camping for a whole week these days.) Food is placed in an animal-fodder crib for storage in these temporary tabernacles (sukk’ah or booth). The King James Bible has translated the word for food crib as “manger”. After the 7 day long feast, there is an additional Sabbath Day on the 8th day called the Shemini Atzeret Sabbath “The Last Great Day” because it is the final annual Holy Day that was God-established. The next Holy day is the next Passover.

It is the fall of the year as the harvests are being brought in (gathered). Shepherds are in their fields watching over their flocks. Jerusalem is flooded with people as everyone is required to go there for this Festival. Everything is full. And there are sukk’ahs everywhere. Perhaps thousands of them! Overwhelmingly massive crowds of Hebrew Pilgrims attending this High Holy day, this first day of the Feast. Crowds have previously arrived (to build their temporary tabernacles to stay in) and crowds are still continuously arriving, to lodge through the entire region. By sunset, Jerusalem and all of the surrounding villages are completely full. Even the nearby city of Bethlehem. Not a place to be had anywhere.

Two young Hebrews, Joseph and Mary, need to do 2 things. They need to go to Jerusalem and they need to go to Bethlehem because that’s where Joseph must go to register for the census. It is literally just 4 miles from Jerusalem. A "stop on the way". Mary is pregnant. They get to Bethlehem. She goes into labor. No place to stay. She is offered a sukk’ah (not a stable) as a place to deliver her baby, and she then placed her baby in the food crib.

IF that is in fact what happened, consider these possibilities:

the Messiah was born on the first day of Sukkot – The Festival of Tabernacles, the Feast of Ingathering, a High Holy Day. This day is a Sabbath.
He was born in a temporary tabernacle, a sukk’ah, (not a stable) because he came to tabernacle with us.
He was placed in a food storage crib because He is the “bread of life”.
As tradition, He would have been named and circumcised on the 8th day which would have been a Sabbath,
9 months prior to Sukkot is Hanukkah, the Festival of lights. The dedication of the Temple celebration. He would have been conceived during this holiday because He is the light of the world.
Zechariah 14:16-17 says that one day in the future all nations will be required to honor this feast.
For me, this is all I need to know. I LOVE this story. My Messiah was born in the fall of the year, when it was warm, in a temporary tabernacle, on a Sabbath that was a High Holy day, on the first day of the Feast of Ingathering, and was placed in a food storage crib because He is the bread of life. He was conceived during the Festival of Lights because He is the light of the world.

I will start this day to keep this feast – in my heart – as I truly believe this is how He was born. No "Merry Christmas" from me as that date is simply a pagan holiday. But this night, this eve of Sukkot, may you be blessed, may your heart be softened, may you come to know that your questions can be answered - all one must do is study the Word.

Jn 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."

Rosh Hashanah

September 18, 2009. Rosh Hashanah.

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first [day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Rosh Hashanah begins a new year on the Hebrew calendar. Tradition says that on this day we examine our past deeds and ask for forgiveness for our sins....review the history of the Jews and pray for Israel.

It is stated that the destiny of all mankind is recorded by G-d in the Book of Life.

I wonder how "christians" ever got so far away from scripture. This is a quite clear - what to do and when to do it.
