1. Manage a full-blown relationship

One of the things you can do in GTA 6 that you couldn’t do in GTA 5 is managing the relationship between our protagonists, Jason and Lucia. How close they become and whether their relationship stands the test of time will come down to your actions.

From hardware limitations to language settings and regional restrictions, there are several reasons why Siri AI may still be missing on your iPhone.

The good news? Most of them are easy to check. Here’s everything you need to know if Siri AI is still missing from your iPhone.

Why Siri AI isn’t available on your iPhone

Unlike other iOS 27 features that become available immediately after an update, Siri AI is part of Apple’s phased rollout. That means installing iOS 27 doesn’t automatically replace the existing Siri experience.

If the new Siri isn’t showing up on your iPhone, it’s usually because one of the eligibility requirements hasn’t been met. Here’s what you should check.

1. Your iPhone must support Siri AI

The first thing to check is your iPhone model. Running the latest iOS 27 update doesn’t automatically make your iPhone compatible with Siri AI.

A quick glance is enough to tell the difference. The familiar full-screen Siri animation is replaced by a Dynamic Island interface that includes a Search or Ask field for both voice and text interactions.

You’ll also find a dedicated Siri app that keeps your conversations in one place, as well as a Siri tab inside the Camera app, letting you ask questions about whatever you’re pointing the camera at. If none of these additions are available, your iPhone is still running the older Siri experience.

One more thing: Siri AI is still a beta

For years, Apple promised a smarter, more capable Siri. The company previewed a major Siri overhaul at WWDC 2024, but several of the most ambitious features were delayed as Apple continued working on its next-generation artificial intelligence system.

That wait is now over. With the release of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and watchOS 27, Apple has officially begun rolling out Siri AI, a completely reimagined version of its voice assistant powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence.

But there’s an important catch: not every Apple device that supports the latest software can use Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. Here’s the list of compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac models that support Siri AI.

Apple’s biggest Siri upgrade yet

The new Siri AI is much more than a voice assistant refresh.

The assistant can understand personal context, allowing it to find relevant information across messages, emails, photos and other parts of your device. It also has on-screen awareness, meaning it can understand what you’re currently viewing and take actions based on that information.

You can also ask it to perform actions across Apple’s apps. Siri is also integrated into the Camera app through Siri mode, allowing users to ask questions about objects or information in front of the camera.

This is the Siri that Apple showed off two years ago and then repeatedly delayed. Now it’s finally arriving with the iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and visionOS 27 releases. However, Apple is rolling out Siri AI as a beta, initially in English. French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish support is scheduled to expand in October.

iPad mini: A17 Pro or newer models.

Base-model iPads (like the iPad 11th Gen) running standard A-series chips do not support Siri AI.

Apple also says that its most powerful on-device model and certain features, like expressive, naturalistic Siri voices and advanced dictation, require iPad models with the M4 chip or later and at least 12GB of unified memory.

This means that simply owning an M1 iPad does not necessarily guarantee access to every Apple Intelligence feature.

Mac

Apple Intelligence is supported on Macs powered by Apple silicon:

MacBook Pro (M1 and later)
iMac (M1 and later)
