Apple's method of syncing is absolute bullshit, it's extremely user unfriendly, and it is ridiculously complex.

Every time I purchase music on my phone and plug my phone into my computer, the music I purchased goes missing and I have to submit a support ticket to get the songs added to my iTunes account.

When I add a video to my library, I just want to add the fucking video to my phone.. I don't want to sync my fucking applications, calender, contacts, etc.. Yet when I uncheck the option to sync these items, it then wants to delete them.

FUCK APPLE AND FUCK THIS PHONE.

This beast is a lot more different than most phones.  For sure.  

Here's my rant:
I hate the keyboard.  30 keys in a 2 inch space is too much!!!  And there's no way to add/remove/edit entries in the dictionary, which is hella annoying.  I wish they'd just have a second, optional interface with a 12 key number pad and predictive T9 like typical cell phones.  It's so unbelievably hard to type with one thumb on 3 tiny buttons with no feedback while performing other tasks (umm... like driving).  They've essentially sacraficed practicality in this department, for a beautiful and symmetrical load of junk that irritates everyone.  I've had it for several months now and I'm still not used to typing on it.  Anyone who says they are, are lying.  Including you, Jobs!

I also hate that they hide the track search function in the iPod.  Not only that, but the track search function is tiny and makes it too difficult to track search while doing other things (ummm... again, like driving).  It should be like all other multimedia players -- squarely set across the bottom near the other play/pause/next/back buttons.  That way I can see how far the track has progressed, too.

Also, the processor is too slow.

And the phone, in minimal use, hardly holds a charge for more than 16 hours.  It's usually red (20% or less left) by the time I go to bed.

The phone function itself is cumbersome, with 5 buttons for contacts, frequent contacts, recent contacts, keypad, and voicemail.  Then while dialing, you have to push buttons to get the keypad back again.  It's just nuts.

No horizontal support for keyboard during text messages, which makes for cramped and often inaccurate typing (gawddamn placement of the backspace and return keys right next to my heavily used "m" key!!!).

Apple's random and seemingly arbitrary rejections of apps from the appstore, whether they're new or updates to previous version.

Camera is crap.  No video function.

Google maps (standard installed on the phone) often gives me cattywhompus or inaccurate directions (as opposed to if I were to go online and do it, it's fine).

Speaker is terrible, and must be set on loudest possible at all times in order to sort of hear conversations.  Forget talking to someone in a remotely loud setting.

None of these were issues on my Nokia 6300.

So, those are the cons.

The pros are: everything is integrated into one device.  Phone, music player (with 16 gb!), gps with crazy apps for anything and everything.  I no longer need a phone, PDA, ipod, GPS.  It's all there.  And it's not ridiculously clunky like PDA phones used to be (and occasionally still are).

ditched my O2 Orbit for this Piece of Shit!  Apparently iPhone 3G has 3G?!  I've yet to make use of this feature as I've yet to see 3G anywhere.  WiFi is unreliable too.

Safari crashes 90% of times.  Phone misses calls regularly.  NO CUT & PASTE!!! Can't forward texts or send/receive V Cards!!!  No To Do function?!

This phone might have been acceptable in 1998, but it's 2008!

It's sad as I'm an Apple fan, but this is just plain SHIT.  They got the form spot on but just forgot about the function.

I paid £100 for this too........arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
