Favorite games growing up?

I had a lot of games that I really liked as a kid. I really liked a game called Combat on the Atari (2600). Super Mario Bros., of course and Contra was fantastic. Phantasy Star 3 on the Sega Genesis, that one was a lot of fun. Your tastes definitely evolve and change as gaming radically changes.

Current favorites?

I really enjoy Resistance (1 and 2) and the Ratchet and Clank series, Gears of War, and Halo is always a good time. I also enjoy real-time strategy games like Supreme Commander and Sins of a Solar Empire. I also play MMOs (massively multiplayer online games) so I do enjoy World of Warcraft and I have been having a lot of fun with Warhammer (Online): Age of Reckoning. So I really do play a variety of different game types.

Game style: Twitch or think?

I really like both. When I play my real-time strategy games, I do like fast-paced games. I don’t like turn-based real-time strategy games where you have to make all of your moves and have to sit and wait for the other person to make their moves. I like a game where if you realize that whoever you are playing against is really coming after you in one section, you can just move fast and get your units in the right area so you can counter his attacks. So it’s just fast, fast, fast.

A certain achievement you are proud of?

I would say finishing all three generations in Phantasy Star Three: Generation of Doom.

Last night I played...?

50 Cent’s Blood On the Sand. People pooh-poohed it because the first game was miserable. I have to give him lot of credit, actually. They still sold about 2 million copies of that game (2005’s 50 Cent: Bulletproof). They didn’t have to make it good because they were going to sell (Blood on the Sand) anyway. Reportedly he said that this game should actually be a good game.

I’m looking forward to playing...?

There’s a game called inFamous from a company called Sucker Punch that I am looking forward to. I really like their Sly Cooper games. They have a perfectly wonderful control scheme and I hope they were able to bring those control elements into inFamous.

I really appreciate all the support you've shown me over the past year and a half, and I've had a great time making WebbAlert and sharing my love of technology. When I started WebbAlert, my TV show X-Play only taped three episodes a week so I had the time to dedicate my video blog. At the beginning of the year, X-Play expanded to five episodes, and the last year has been a lot of work trying to keep up with both projects. I finally decided that I need to make a little time for other opportunities, as well as make a little time for life itself. Thanks for understanding and I hope to bring you a number of new projects in the future!
