Forged in the shadows of Québec City in 2023, Meurtrier emerged from the ranks of seasoned veterans of the Québec and Montréal metal underground with one objective: to resurrect the fierce spirit of classic heavy and speed metal through a distinctly French-Canadian lens.

Drawing inspiration from the savage energy of mid-’80s European and American metal, Meurtrier delivers a dark and relentless assault of razor-sharp riffs, pounding rhythms, and haunting melodies, all carried by French-language lyrics steeped in occult mysticism and epic grandeur. Their sound blends the raw aggression of speed metal with the atmosphere and weight of traditional heavy metal, creating a universe both menacing and triumphant.

Following the release of their first demo in 2024 through ijailbreak Records, the band returns in 2026 with a renewed lineup and visual signature as well as their debut full-length album, Messe de Fer (French for Iron Mass). The current incarnation of Meurtrier features Will Verrault and Martin Paquet on guitars, Tony Verrault on vocals, Jeff Tremblay on bass, and Randy behind the drums — a five-piece force driven by passion, intensity, and unwavering devotion to the steel of a bygone era.

Despite only a handful of live appearances so far, Meurtrier has already earned a reputation for high-energy performances fueled by the relentless momentum of their songs and the commanding charisma of frontman Tony Verrault. On stage, the band channels pure metallic ferocity, leaving audiences caught between darkness, speed, and fire.

Sandstorm was formed in 2017 by Swedish brothers Stevie Whiteless and Reptile Anderson, and joined by Canadian drummer PJ “The Butcher” LaGriffe. Turbo’s Tribunal is the brainchild of a single Danish musician, Andreas Thunbo, who channels over three decades of dedication to classic heavy metal into one project. Thunbo is a veteran of the underground, active for more than 30 years in projects such as Pugnator, Peine and Oath of Woe. Though releases have been few, his commitment to heavy metal’s core spirit has never wavered.  With the debut album Mills of Tribunal, Thunbo and Turbo’s Tribunal delivers riff-driven, melodic heavy metal forged in the true traditional style – heavy, pure and with an epic touch.
