Traitor review

A decent story about a guy involves himself with a terrorist warlord. A perspective view from another side. How, why and what will be answered. As no one condone to terrorism act, this shows how people actually getting involve in the act at the first place.

There are lots of action, bombing and massive killing in this movies. A great act by Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Said Taghmaoui. There are lots of twist and confusion from the very beginning. But in the middle you can already create an assumption.

This movie is based on a great plot. Added few great casts and it will be really good. I'm not a fan of action packed drama thriller much. But I can say, I enjoyed this movie. It's great.

Quick synopsis on Traitor (2008) without bloopers
It begins when an FBI investigation finally made an interception between terrorist activities and caught Samir (Cheadle). Whom after that; made alliance with a well-known terrorist leader Omar (Taghmaoui). They alliance gain attention and after observation, FBI agent (Pearce) finds out that Samir was actually a former US Special Operation Officer

I really advised you to watch this on the big screen where the excitement are really felt. However, you still can watch it for free here.

* Remarks on star rating given (3.5) : I do love the plot, but since it's the same old thing. It met our expectation and blowing the surprise element. The graphics are excellent and so does the other. Normally, I don't love drama but it turns out to be great.

Lakeview Terrace review

A movie about newlywed's first step gone wrong. Based on what?

The actors are wonderful however I could say none on movie overall. Read on.

Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Wilson, Kerry Washington play their role on this thriller. I've some great rave review on this one. However, I tend to find this movie quite lame.
Every rational movement can be detected in this movie and makes it very predictable. The plot are so slow that I dare to take a quick nap and still able to follow the stories. Maybe I'm not into serious plot much, but I know a great movie when I see one. In fact these are what all movie-fanatics capable to do skillfully.
There are various opinions on this but I still find mine is very appropriate. But there are no doubts that they played their characters very well that I feel annoyed by the bad guys too. Still one great act could not make up for the whole movie.

Quick synopsis on Lakeview Terrace without bloopers
A newlyweds make their first move by moving into a very decent society. Their marriage not seems to be approved by everyone because of inter-racial dilemma. However, they manage to live happily and seem to be taking control of their life. Everything seems right. Until they found out they lived they moved to a great place but at the wrong time next to the wrong person.

Bangkok Dangerous review

The first glimpse at the title may give you the big idea. This would be a great action movie. But I'm afraid to tell you, it isn't. I always was a big fan of Nicolas Cage. His acts were really inspiring on both National Treasure and The Rock that gives a big impact on my childhood. However, this movie is far apart from that and I'm not flattering.

The act brought forward by Nicolas Cage as an assassin does not carried well by the actor. His previous acts are so strong, thus overshadowing his current act. Maybe it just me, but I can see better results if the character are player by Cruise, Matt Damon or Jason Statham.

Sorry for Bangkok Dangerous fan, but the script are not well written too, none of them are 'catchy', literally. The actions are also dull comparing all the movies played on the big screen this year. The romance in between make it even worse. If the only strong actor does not stand out, will the others?

Quick synopsis on Bangkok Dangerous without bloopers
Joe (Nicolas Cage), an assassin who's going to end up his killing streak on his final mission held in Bangkok, Thailand. In order to accomplish the mission, he needs someone disposable at the end of if. Finding himself one, is really easy, but finding him a romance is dumb. So, the execution starts.

Batman : The Dark Knight review

Almost perfect. A sequel to Batman Begins on '05 which also can be considered as great movie. But these are far more superior. From the graphics to the content to everything, it's great. Please continue reading eventhough it sounded like I'm worshiping this movie.
There seems to be a lot of superhero movies lately. And what I hate about it is they (movie producer) create movie on based on knowing facts by the viewers.
For instance, Superman and his weakness. Hulk with his origin and don't let me start on Peter Pan. It is intention for minor viewing. But please don't create the same movie over and over with a slight different to Hook's pirate hat. We already know Peter Pan. Minor upgrades on the effect does not make the movie better at all. But dare I say this, this movie (Dark Knight) is none the above matter.
It's seems original - for me at least. The script are well written, the intros are well done and the finishing is excellent. I want more!

Gotham City was near peaceful when both Batman and Lt. Jim Gordon watches the crime rates goes down. Until the late Heath Ledger 'The Joker' makes it appearance with he's psychopathic friends taken control over organized mobs. And being paid to eliminate Batman for good. The random assault begins and so does some cool new gadgets acquired by the Dark Knight.

This movie is good that I actually ask you to watch this on the big screen. Watch this and get to know your other favorite villain named 'Two Face'. But if still want to watch Batman : The Dark Knight for free. You can watch it here.

Tropic Thunder review

Honestly, if you are expecting to see a bad review about this movie, then you're absolutely on the right track.
Long story short, this movie is about 5 (including 2 bum) movie stars or so called 'primadonnist clown', who often differs opinion from each other while on set. The conflict between actors cost director and producer big loads of cash while creating their latest war film. Thus, creating major headache to the movie director, who then accept a suggestion from another clown to bring the movie production to the real life movie set. With a hope that they can clear and straightened each others out.

But soon, they discovered they are playing with fire on real gunpowder, literally. What's the worse that could happen to them? Everything actually. A sip of the storyline creates attention on the premiere but not on the screen. It does have its funny moment and over reacting situation that giggles you. But not much.
The big-name actors that are casts in this movie are fine. Just look at the poster. But I don't think by combining them together will create a great combination. Stiller? Wacky. Jack? Wacky. African Downey? What? See what I mean. And I'm not even including Tom Cruise.
It's like a drummer in a rock band. One is perfect. Two is acceptable. Three is just weird. They create laughter on their great acting but not as the character they posed.

Even though this movie is lack on storyline, it do have it's big explosion, faggot fight and gruesome kids holding AK's. I don't think you will appreciate this after you paid for it. I'm not supporting piracy or any of that kind that makes movie star short a few bucks from their million dollar income.

Not really, they do create a good movie but just not as good as you actually pay for it. This is not 'the movie' to watch this month. Because when I watch comedy, I expect myself to laugh and cries. This don't do both.

House M.D review - TV Series

Dr Gregory House(Hugh Laurie) a.k.a Dr. I Stuck A Needle Up My Ass, is the stars on this hit medical series, House M.D. This series revolve around the life of middle-aged doctor who's in fact a genius. This series has aired for four season and already scheduled to broadcast the fifth on September 16, this year.
Each series starts from a random situation somewhere and ends up having someone panicking over a person coughing blood or such as. Then, Dr. House assemble his team of 3 (change on season 4) and tried to diagnose the patient's problem from start to ends and have few unexpected outcome in between.

What makes this series a hit; is not the medical diagnosis nor the panic situation but the way Dr. House treats or cure his patient. Dr. House is a genius and a guru in medical diagnosis but he has issue for being polite to people around him. Add to that, he's having problem with his leg and makes him more irritating to all.

All the disease that is featured in this series are rare but realistic. Most of them even though rare but have the possibilities to appear in our daily life. All series broadcast will feature different patient and disease. But starting on season 4, it's more focused on Dr. House medical staff (due to the changes of cast). But stills have the same concept of treating people.

I don't get bored watching these because it doesn't get boring over time. They brilliantly shift focus on House, his staff, patient and situation. And the storyline doesn't really link or connected to other (some of them are) that makes it watchable even on mid-season.

Heroes review - TV Series

This is awesome! Not very original though. But awesome. I know you do sometimes pretend have superpower when you are alone. Like turning on your computer just by looking at it. Or sometimes, when you pretend you are invisible and lying naked on the beach (no ? it's intentional ? wow). Anyway, this movie make all your imagination became true.

A group of 'special' people realizing they are not like others and began looking for answers (why ?! go rob a bank or something). This series are entering the peak of broadcasting their latest season, Season 3. Their 1st Season runs 23 episodes. For 2nd Season they only broadcast 11 episodes due to the 100-day strikes on mid February this year. Their 3rd Season will be starting next month on 22nd September 2008.

A quick view on "Heroes" storyline. It first start when the brother of soon-to-be president, Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) realize he's somehow special and became true. After a while he realizes that everyone around him is too. Soon, the quest started to find the answer; and saving humanity from a disaster known to be happening. The journey begins to gather other 'special' people with superhuman abilities and help each other. Each season has a different objective.

What I think is, this movie even though has a great twist in between; it's just another ordinary superhero series. After seeing both seasons available, the 1st one is better. If you planning on watching. Start from the top. Because the 2nd one does not explain much and you just can't feel the excitement from there. But, if you started from the beginning, I'm sure you will be stuck on the next few days in front of your screen. That's why I hate TV series. It's addictive.

* Remarks on star rating given (3.5) : Even though you can really expect what you are getting when watching this type of movie, that not the main attraction in this. You can see the power orb that looks realistic in this series. Ikmalsays this : watch this rather than swimming in a pool full of fat blokes. Following my review criteria.

Step Brothers review

This is a story about 2 adult male whom suffering from super fags disease which makes them becomes childish and wussies. The story starts when their both single parents get married and started living in the same house. Ends up as their adult-children, Brennan (Will Ferrell) and Dale (John C. Reilly) don`t want to share their parents happy ending.

Soon, their started attacking each other privacy and wieners but soon realize they have a lot in common. Not the same old step brother-sisters material. Because the characters played, are by an adult. A 40 year-old adult male and still begs his mom for building bunk beds. And have hilarious outcome. If you ever familiar with Will Ferrell`s work. Then I`m assure you, you going to love this.

The rude and surprising humor are really a weapon to this movie. Which brings up all the act together. "A picture a worth more than a thousand word" idiom doesn`t apply to this movie poster. The content is really funny than it seems.

This gives meaning that everyone should have a child in them once in a while. See the movie and know how meaningful it was. I`m not going to discuss further more and spoiled everything, so you should go and see for yourself.

* Remarks on star rating given (4) : I`ve seen a lot of movies which uses step brother-sister material which makes it commonly used, but an adult as a dumb-ass step brother . It`s rare. The comedian act by both strong actor and actress really brings the theme to life. It`s one of the movie when you smile at the end of it. But the jokes will never work twice, so try see it on cinema near you.

You Don't Mess with The Zohan review

I'm a big fan of Adam Sandler's act. Which you might think this review might not well judge. But who cares. He can act and he`s a comedian. But on 'You Don`t Mess With Zohan', not so much. He could done better. This time he acts as an Israeli elite soldier who`s no longer interested in bashing people`s head over time. He just want to be normal. Just like other hairstylist. He quit shooting and killing endlessly for cutting 'silky smooth hair' career. Well the storyline is quite original.

It just poses as how nonsense the end would be. Not like Scary Movie type but more digestive way. People easily get bored on constant ridiculous jokes. They used Israeli-Palestinian conflict as source of laugh. They do promote a point. Enough the endless war already. This movie is funny but far from a masterpiece.

While the title 'You Don`t Mess with Zohan' might not interest you. The content also might not pleasure you much. If you have ten bucks to either spend it on lunch, a pack of ciggs or this movie. I would say this movie would be the last resort. It`s not that this movie does not have a great content but it is lack of the 'wow' factor which means "it`s just another Sandler`s movie".

But you should see this film over time. After all, you will experience laughter or a giggle at least with this fine line-up of actors. This movie cast by John Torturro, Schneider and gorgeous Emmanuelle Chriquil. This includes Mariah Carey (huh?). And Sandler`s are one of the writers.

Kung Fu Panda review

Adorable. The proper word for this. Overweight panda who loves to practice martial arts. And dream to become a warrior. But to fat to become one. A stunning movie cast by great names like Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman and more list to come. With a great line-up comes a great acting. A comedy series directed by Mark Osbourne and John Stevenson. As funny as you would imagine and adorable as it can be, this movie was suitable for all ages of human form. I consider this comedy was actually in a form of slapstick joke. It`s more onto body movement/action jokes rather than a form of sarcasm jokes. Not my genre type to favors.

It`s target audience was really to a minor or family. Yeah, it`s cute. It`s funny but not really funny. It`s the type of jokes where if you recite the situation to anybody, no one will laugh.

The story was about a lazy panda with huge imagination who works with his father at a noodle shop intended to become a kung-fu warrior. The story began when he actually chosen as one and hilarious results begin. He learns kung-fu and become a master while able to maintaining his fat figure. Basically that was it all about. Then bad guys.. bla bla bla.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That`s why they called it present.

The storyline was clever. Unexpected events may happen. This movie was the only movie I ever went where the crowds really getting into the movies. They applause and laugh loudly in the cinema itself. It really reaches the audience. People do say watching in a cinema was a lot better than your small 15" monitor. Go watch it.

But still considering spending your money on CG (computer graphics) film. Then read over my past post title movie streaming guide and look for streaming sites and search the movies. It`s already available at Joox.net.

* Remarks on the star rating given (4) : Computer graphics has become advance day by day. Monster Inc. was no longer CG benchmark. The graphics available on this movie was far greater. Hence, there will be a time when no longer human actors needed (fuck!). The soundtrack was awesome. But the storyline could be better. It`s just too normal. Be different for once. Prison Break review - TV Series

When everybody tries to avoid getting in the prison, a young engineer, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) enters them willingly to save his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) that set for death penalty for a framed murder. Scofield actual plan was to escape from the prison itself using a blueprint map tattooed on his own body which then has a numerous unexpected outcome. This series however doesn`t stops here.

It continues with tragedy, conspiracy and violence. As interesting as it sound its getting predictable and more over the seasons. From a creative starts of the storyline it become frustrating and boring by each episodes. The plot are no longer have unsuspected suspense and it twist in unmannered way.

The heroes are too heroic and other character seems to have change in personalities. Each character are killed easily by directors. And resurrect ridiculously on the following season (as to come on upcoming season - season 4). This lack of creativity that may have been stuck in the storyline will continue to ridicule itself past the season.

This popular tv series is interesting. And very entertaining at first. But since the title says it all, there always be a mystery to solve, a question to be answered and maze to navigate. Again to be stated, the good guys are too clever and bad guys are too dumb.

And how frustrating it would be if it continues with a ridiculous act. This series may have a good pilot plot but none at the ends. Yet, the originality of the concept breaking a prison seems no longer an interesting topic. All I have to say is, yes, it`s watchable and entertains you. But it will get frustrating.

South Park review - TV Series

Completely no sense of rationality humor. An innovative creation by co-creator Matt Stone and Trey Parker whom creates a revolution in comedy animation, a two-time Emmy Award winner called South Park. This series is basically about a four elementary students having a normal live in a fictional town of South Park, Colorado but surrounded by ridiculously stupid parents.

What seem normal to you may not be to them. This series are well known for its toilet humor, pop-culture parody and handling of currents event with sarcasm. Most of its now 12 Seasons series includes imitation of celebrities so to be made fun of. They made fun of everything laughable. Maybe I have sinned for comparing this to Spongebob Squarepants, but if you ever imagine what it would be like if Spongebob cursed on each series, then do watch this. They have originality and awesome storyline.

Due to its advantage of being animation, it has the ability to have an abnormal story twist, unimaginable outcome for every adventure they had. Maybe its not love at first sight type. But once you adapted to the humor genre you will get addicted over time. As famous as it was in the States it was never aired to certain countries due to its extremely negative influence that may caused to minors.

For me, a movie is like a story book. The title as its cover, movie graphic as photographic content, soundtrack as text effect and a cast is like the book's author. You can tell its worthy if it was from someone known to be that admirable.

I don't judge the books by its cover but rather from its author.

There's no limit to the genre of movies that I will write reviews on. Any movie would do. The review would be post if I've seen the movie personally.

How do I know your reviews are good ?
Different movie, different people, different taste. I will NOT write review due to my personal taste. The review will be based on storyline, twist, effects, ending and likewise. Its a review from somebody who hasn't received Bachelor in I Know Which Movie Sucks from Hollywood University. This is really true, some might like which others don`t.
