Hey guys! It's been such a long, long time since I've blogged. So much has happened in the past, I'm not sure how many years. I've read some of my super old posts and remembered why I started a blog. It was the time when I was just getting into makeup! I discovered a whole world of makeup and beauty and blogs and tutorials on YouTube. I've grown so much from being someone fascinated by makeup to starting a blog, to making YouTube tutorials to being a Freelance Makeup Artist to now, being a part of the MAC family. I've loved every moment of this journey and want to go back to my roots of blogging like the good old days. So here I am! I actually thought of deleting my old posts but nah, I'm glad they are still there for me to read. One day I can show my kids lol.

Anyhoo, I'll keep this post short and sweet but I will definitely be blogging here more. If anyone is on Instagram, you can follow me there @il0vemac with a zero. Stay tuned for some fotds and product reviews. It feels good to be back. 😊

Hey lovelies. ;) I just had to check in because I started feelin so bad about my blog always being neglected. I just wanted to thank you all for reading my blog and I sincerely apologize if you always check my blog only to see that I haven't updated. Again. And again. And again. I have been a little busy this past week Mostly working on finding myself a job.

My daughter started Kindergarten last week Wednesday. I was so excited for it. I think I was more excited than she was LOL. I don't know about you guys but I know that I was so excited about going to school. My fave part about it especially was going school supply shopping with my parents hehe. Here's a pic of her holding a little welcome certificate when she came home from school on her first day.

So apparently I wasn't feeling Star Flash as much as I initially did before it launched. Since I don't have a job yet and I don't want to keep asking my hubsie to support my bad habit, I decided that I was going to get me some Star Flash by B2M. When I actually went in to see them I was just disappointed with the dupe-ability factor. Since I have pretty much all of the dupes that Vanessa mentioned in her swatch/haul post I had to pass. Also being that there are so many more collections to come. I think I was the most disappointed with Talent Pool. I was thinking it was going to be a different kind of light shimmery blue but it just didn't wow me. :( As far as the Lustre Twins, I do not own any of the pro long wear and I intend to keep it that way since I'm not too fond of those 8-hour lipstick/glosses. I think I felt that way from the first time I ever tried one which was the Covergirl outlast. I didn't like how it felt as though I was painting my lips with a colored sharpie. Oh MAC, I still love you but please make more effort into trying to please me. LOL.

The job hunt is still on for me. I've sent out my resumes to several places already. Still waitin for call backs/emails. While waiting for respones I'm trying to figure out how my schedule will fit in with Abi going to school and my parents taking care of my son for a few days out of the week. I'm really eager to start working again. I feel bad for my hubsie since he's been holding down the fort and paying for bills and buying my "feminine necessities" LOL.

I'm sure you've all heard about the new Back 2 MAC policy change from Enkore. Because of this, I'm positive now that I will not be depotting my shadows. Even though I know it would save me so much space. I just think that paying for pans from stars makeup haven is too much of a hassle. and i'd have to glue the pans in all of my pots. I just don't have time for that lol. You must be thinking that I should have all the time in the world because I'm not currently working but trust me, my son does a VERY good job at keeping me occupied. He never seems to want to be alone. He's got 6 teeth already! And I'm almost positive he'll start walking very soon. He turns 1 on the 20th of this month. My lil baby no longer feels like a baby in my arms. He feels like a little boy. :( lol.

I can't believe there are so many collections that MAC is coming out with this fall/holiday. It's absolutely ridiculous. Starflash is coming out in less than a week and from seeing swatches from Nessa, Christine, and Specktra, I'm seriously lemming all 12 of them. Even though most of them look dupe-able, the fact that it's a new finish is very attractive lol. From what I've read from fellow beauty bloggers, including Pursebuzz, the eyeshadows are silky smooth. Perhaps better than the veluxe pearls? If so, that would make them much harder to pass up since the veluxe pearls are my absolute fave. What are your thoughts on this collection?

On my for sure list are: Talent Pool, Top Hat, Sunset B., Mink and Sable, Smoke and Diamonds, Lotusland, and Dreammaker (i <3 highlight colors).

It seems that Dazzleglass will be making a comeback along with some new shades. How exciting! That will be the perfect time for me to get my hands on Sugarrimmed, which I didn't get when they first came out. As far as Cult of Cherry, the quads aren't exactly to die for and it doesn't help that each of them has at least one repromote. If I had to choose one I would definitely go with the Spiced Chocolate quad.

I'm not too excited about the Manish Arora collaberation. The palette is practically filled with permanent shadows. I'm not too crazy about the packaging either. But of course my thoughts may change if I see them in person. We all know how MAC can do that to us. lol.

Home Sweet Home, Vacation Pics & Hauls

Aloha everyone! ;) Although I miss my sisters (surprisingly LOL) I am glad to be back home on the islands.

We arrived yesterday and I was never more exhausted in my life. It wouldn't have been so tiring if we hadn't forgotten my son's stroller AND backpack carrier. :( I have no idea how that happened. I guess since it was a little chaotic on the early morning that we left, I didn't realize that we forgot it until 10 minutes after leaving my sister's house. There was no way we were turning around or else I would have definitely missed my flight. As stressful as it was, I had to carry my son the whole time while carring my big ass purse (with my whole house inside btw), my son's diaper bag, and pulling my hand carry. I swear I've never felt more muscles in my arms. lol. I was so relieved to see my mom and dad after getting all of our baggage. Thank god we were sitting next to a really nice girl who used to live in Hawaii for 25 years but now resides in Atlanta (home of the infamous RenRen). We chatted it up and she was even nice enough to hold my son while I went to use the bathroom and a second time to take my daughter to the bathroom. Her and her bf were so sweet they even helped us with our baggage. I couldn't have thanked them enough. ;)

I really enoyed my vacation. Can't believe it went by so fast. I wish I could have done more while I was in California (i.e. meet some of my fellow beauty bloggers lol) No worries Jaclyn, next time for sure! ;) I didn't even get a chance to hit up a CCO. :( There was just so much to do and so little time. The main thing was that the kids had a great time - CCO or not lol. Disneyland was so much fun. Most of the pics are of the kids and I barely took any pics because it was so damn hot so you won't see me in any of these pics lol.

I didn't do much makeup shopping which explains my big online MAC haul. I just picked up some essence of beauty brushes since we don't have CVS here (sucks!). When we went to the mall Crabtree & Evelyn was having a sale and they had a $5.00 rack. I wanted to try out the intensive eye treatment (for puffiness and dark circles) in comparison to MAC's fast response eye cream. (I'll do a review later) and since I have dry chapped lips I got 2 of their overnight lip repair (a godsend!!) They were definitely bargains since the lip repair was originally $17 and the eye treatment was originally $30. I saved $62! Gotta love sales. ;) The rest of my moolah went to food and clothes. Here are my hauls.

Didn't do swatches, I know you've all seen them. My goodness, MAC is really gonna break the bank with all their collections coming out this Fall. Crazy as hell. Now that I'm back home I can finally start applying for jobs. I didn't want to start applying before I went on my vacation because I'm sure no one would hire me if I told them that I was going to be out of town for almost a month. I hope I find the right one. I know it won't be easy but I'm capable.

I hope you all are doing well. I've missed you guys since I was so MIA yet again. Please bare with me while I slowly get up to date with my commenting on your blogs. ;)

I'm starving so the hubsie and I are off to Sizzler. Yay! I missed that place while I was gone. Even Boston's clam chowder did not compare to theirs. LOL. Have a beautiful day everyone. ;)

I'm sorry I didn't post at all during my vacation. I've just been relaxing and enjoying Boston. I know you are all tired of the whole MIA speech so I'll skip all that. But I do hope you all are fine and well. But I promise I'll be back to regular blogging when I get back to Hawaii.

So this weekend will be my last out here so we're going to make the best of it. We had lobsters for dinner two nights in a row. Yum! lol. A couple of nights ago my sister took us out to eat sushi (my fave!) and we're going to another sushi place tomorrow night. Can't wait. :) I believe we're going to the aquarium tomorrow as well. That should be fun. We also went on the Boston Duck Tours. We had the best tour guide. Unfortunately I don't have any pics to share because my sister was the paparazzi as I was too lazy to take any pics. But I'll try to get some up here in my next post. But all in all I've been enjoying myself and trying to make the most out of our time here since I'm not sure when we'll be able to visit again.

We have gone shopping but I've bought mostly clothes. My only makeup-related haul was at CVS for essence of beauty brushes. Since we don't have CVS in hawaii. I also snagged the colossal mascara for 2.99 with my sister's CVS extra bucks card. that's gotta be the cheapest mascara i've ever bought. There are outlet malls here but no CCOs. :( we never had any time to go when I was at my other sister's house in California. next time, next time lol. Since I haven't bought any makeup I couldn't resist with electro flash and sonic chic from MAC. So I did a major haul online. I ordered on Tuesday morning and my hubsie told me last night that it already came in the mail. Talk about fast shipping. I should've just had them ship it here if that was the case lol. From seeing swatches on specktra and youtube, I pretty much had an idea of what I wanted so I got 5 MES duos and 5 of the blushes since I am in love with blush. Seriously I am so into blush it's not even funny. I just love how it's the cherry on top of the sundae, completing any look with a flush of color. I also had to snag a backup of Parrot e/s since it's on their goodbye list for soon-to-be discontinued items. But anyway, I'll do that haul post when I get back for sure.

so the time has come. my flight leaves at 7am and i am so exhausted and tired already from packing and not getting enough sleep last night. but i'm excited. my sis got disneyland tickets so we'll be meeting mickey on thursday. ;)

i'm almost done packing lol. didn't pack that much makeup, just the essentials. which equals to 2 travel sized and 2 regular sized makeup bags. brought a few of my neutral palettes and of course the manly palette so i can still do some looks for yall lol. right now it's about 12:45am and we'll be heading out to the airport in about 3 hours. we've got a 3-hour stopover in san francisco. that should be fun. lol.

my hubsie teared when we said our goodbyes this afternoon. he's afraid jr. won't remember him when we get back lol. and to make it worse, mariah carey's bye bye song was playing LOL. i told him that i saved my blog link under his favorites on his login on our computer, so he can read about what i'm up to since i don't blog on myspace, just put up pics. and he knows how much of a broke ass i am right now so he gave me a "vacation donation". lol. thank you honey! you're the best. miss you already. ;)

Why I purchased it: Lately I haven't been too happy with my Urban Decay Primer Potion. I have a couple of light freckles/beauty marks on my left eyelid and I also have some slight discoloration on my eyes where the skin is a tad bit darker from the rest of my face. Just like my undereye circles except on my eye. I noticed that the UDPP is great as a base but doesn't do well with evening out the discoloration/redness on my eyes. I've read many wonderful reviews on this product and debstan1 from YouTube also uses this primer for her tutorials using her 120 palette. The colors come out amazingly vibrant. I just had to try it for myself.

Pros: I love the packaging. Actually, I like most of benefit's packaging. It comes in a small round sleek black compact with a mirror. Great for girls on the go. This primer also doubles as a concealer and I'm all about multi-use, 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 products (less baggage in your purse). It did very well in concealing the redness & discoloration. I could definitely use this as a concealer. As far as being a primer, it worked great! The pics actually don't do any justice as they were much more vibrant.

Cons:: The price is a bit steep. A couple bucks more than the UDPP but I'm very happy because it did exactly what I wanted it to do.

Overall Opinion: Great product if you're looking for a double duty primer. I would definitely buy this again since I'm sure it will last me a while.

120 color eyeshadow palette

Yay! I'm so happy it came. I thought it wasn't going to get here before I left for my vacation. It took about a week to arrive from Hong Kong, I bought it on ebay for $27.98 which included the shipping. It was bubble wrapped very very well so I didn't get any broken eyeshadows. :)

I know many of you have seen this palette before. It's just like the Coastal Scents palette. I wanted to get this instead because it has 32 more eyeshadows lol. It came with 2 lil freebies. A travel sized brush set and some cute flower nail stickers. Now I really have to give myself a new paint job. :) I'm very pleased with this palette. There is a mix of everything from mattes to frosts and satins and shimmers. Very beautiful colors and excellent color payoff. I didn't like the sticker that was on the upper right hand corner so I peeled it off very easily. It didn't leave any sticky residue so it's all good. I wanted this palette to do my youtube tutorials because I could never figure out what colors to use when I looked at all my MAC eyeshadows. lol. But with this palette, all I gotta do is bust it out and look at it and I'm bound to come up with something. The eyeshadows are very small, about the size of a dime but I'm sure they'll last for quite a while.

Can't wait to do some looks with this. :)

I'm finally done with this blogger template layout business. Had to make another 'test' account so I wouldn't screw everything up lol. I know there are a few things I still need to tweak out. I lost quite a few of the links that I had (so please comment/leave a message on my cbox so I can add you again) and I also lost my sitemeter code. :( Oh well. Oh and I know Fafi is so over already but I still think they're cute. These two lil fafinettes in particular, are so sexy lol. Anyway, it's a very basic layout but I spent a lot of time on it so I"m happy with the results. It looks clean and organized. :)

Oh yes I almost forgot. ABDC's Season 2 primiere was the bomb!! I can't pick a fave just yet. Partly because the Jabbahottiez are still number one in my book lol. But it's gonna be a great season. :)

Sorry for the boring posts lately. No pics or vids. Maybe if I catch up on my Zzzs I can try to do a tut tomorrow. I mean today. Nitey nite yall. ;)

Thank you sweeties for all of your birthday wishes! =)

I took some pics with my fam when we went out to lunch that day. We went to my new favorite place to eat (I just never realized we ALWAYS eat there lol) Sizzler. :D For you gals in Hawaii, I swear, the Dillingham Sizzler is the best! They have the best service. I used to think the Pearl City one was the best but I take it back! We went to eat there on Father's Day and they had an all-day Father's day buffet complete with hot entrees, salad & dessert bar. I swear, they have the BEST clam chowder!! It wasn't watery and thin like Pearl City's. It was the thickest I ever had. Every 15 minutes we were asked how our table was doing and if we needed anything and top of that, before our glasses were half empty, they brought us our refills. The service was insanely good! They were always checking on us even though the line was going out to the parking lot. Good thing we came right after he got off of work. Anyway, sorry I'm rambling about Sizzler lol. It was so awesome, we just had to go there 2 days later for my birthday LOL. They even gave me a free huge strawberry shortcake with a candle on it and the staff sang Happy Birthday to me. It was so cute. ;)

Okay sorry for all that, it's just that awesome customer service really rocks my socks. I HATE getting bad service. >:( It pisses me off. lol.

I've been itching to re-vamp my blog with a 3-column layout but I could never ever figure it out no matter how hard I tried. So I'll be spending some time on trying to upgrade my layout.

Also, I just got me a google reader last night and I thought to myself, What the hell was I doing without one?!? lol. I know I'm probably like the last person to get one. Well anyway, I could never figure out the whole RSS/feed crap too. I'm totally clueless on it so I need to go and educate myself. lol.

I can't believe I'm leaving in less than a week. That's crazy. So much to do, so little time. =\

happy father's day to all the wonderful daddies out there. and i ain't talkin' bout them deadbeats. LOL.

so last night was pretty fun. went to brew moon and although i've never been there before, i could say that i'd be willing to go again. it wasn't too crowded, just chill. i almost forgot how great it is to actually have a social life. i really need to get out more. not every weekend or anything, but once in a while it is nice to be able to just relax and have a good time with good people. :)
i wasn't looking to get drunk or anything. that ain't my game lol. i did want a lil buzz though. but after 6 midori sours (my fave!!) and a couple of lemon drops, i was straight. lol. i refused to take any shots or even worse, have some rum & coke (yuck!!) i can't stand nasty tasting alcholic beverages. i'll stick to my fruity delights lol. anyway, all in all i had a great time. shaked what my mama gave me and met a few new folks. lol.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was a freshman I think, in high school. Getting straight A's and being innocent. That was all before I started cutting class in my junior year. But anyways we're not talking about that LOL. Yeah so I was a freshman at Campbell High School. Go Sabers!! lol. Honestly I don't remember much. I just know I did good, made friends with a lot of Seniors who were in my computer applications class. was in a few clubs, and...was still very chubby. lol. i lost all that baby fat in my sophomore year when i tried out for the school's first ever dance team Saber Steppers! LOL. foreal though that's when i lost weight....then had boyfriends....and..anyways. lol.

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today?
1. kids' laundry.
2. mail a package of goodies for lisa, who let me review the anastasia brow kit (sooo long overdue! =|)
3. pay for my cell phone bill
4. start making my list of things to pack for my vacation
5. remember to de-frost ribs (yes i'm making ribs again tonight, thanks j. rose lol

3. Snacks I enjoy:
oh god where i start? LOL. chocolate covered gummi bears (my fave!!) the ones with all white gummi bears though, not the colored ones - yuck! quaker cakes mini rice cakes, the caramel ones. OMG only 60 calories and sooooo good!! they have that buttery caramel taste. and um...whatever fruits we get from costco, (strawberries, plums, apples) oh and i love oranges too. but i gotta peel and section them or i won't eat em. lol.

4. Places I’ve lived:
Hawaii!! born n raised. i've lived here all my life. :)

5. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire:
omg i gotta agree and say get my ass outta debt (from school:()!! buy a house, doesn't have to be a huge mansion or anything just something nice and simple. buy a bentley. i loooove kim k.'s car! and um...buy everything in MAC and sephora. and...invest in stocks. start my own beauty salon with professional makeup artists (not me! lol).

6. People I want to know more about:
that's a toughie. i guess i'd say all my fellow MAC addicts. i'd like to know more about you besides our obession for MAC. lol.

So I met up with Jaime on Wednesday. She is such a tiny lil girl (seriously like half my size!) with so much energy! She is soo sweet though! She was so helpful in helping me pick out an outfit to wear tomorrow night. I've never been in a store that long. She was so patient and kept asking all the sales ladies for help and asking to get my sizes while I was in the dressing room trying on stuff. After all that we were both starving because we only had cereal that morning. We went to the food court and ate Panda Express. Of course we had the infamous orange chicken. yummy! We were laughing about all kinds of stuff and just talking about our video game lovin, UFC obsessed, not-an-ounce-interested in makeup bfs. LOL. we went to the MAC store and she said anytime i wanna go to MAC, to call her up because she has a pro card. (ahhh!!) so sweet! but of course we totally forgot cool heat was coming out the next day (bummer!) so i passed on getting anything just to save my money. so we're going tomorrow before we get ready. sorry if i'm sounding like i have a new bff or something. lol. it's not like that though, just a cool new friend that i've met in person from youtube and surprisingly we have so much in common. we didn't talk/msg each other since wednesday but just this morning she messaged me to remind me about tomorrow.

anyway, sorry to bore you with all of that. but i did manage to get a pic of us. :)

Simply Naturals & Brush Bath

I got my Simply Naturals haul yesterday. I'm pretty satisfied with everything I received. Thank you to Christiana for giving us all the scoop on all the mineral makeup websites you find!

I couldn't get the pics to come out as good as Christiana's so I just made a video. You can check it out on my YT channel. :)Anyway, here is my haul:

My faves are Razzmatazz, Motown, Cayman, Green Apple, Citrus & Fern. Love them all really. ;)

And I washed all my brushes too. Took me damn near one hour just to do everything. I don't usually wash them all at the same time only because I regularly wash the ones I use the most. Didn't think it would take so long to do all of them.

My birthday is coming up. Don't think I'll be doing anything special. My birthdays were never really times to celebrate. It's really just another ordinary day. But I will be eating noodles (pancit) that's for sure lol.

Tomorrow I'm going to meet prettywahine96701 (Jaime) from youtube. lol. We've been talking on youtube and for some strange reason I feel like I've known her forever. She invited me to her birthday party this Saturday at Brew Moon. I decided to go since I really haven't had much of a social life in forever. So sad I know. lol. I'll let yall know how it goes.

omg. i'm so relieved to finally have my internet back. i swear that was over a month. never again will i go through that! as crappy as they are, i just decided to stick with oceanic cable for now. that is, until they fuck up again then i'll have to make the switch to hawaiian telcom.

i'm so happy i can download songs again and update my ipod. check my email, myspace, yadda yadda yadda. no more taking 15 minutes just to write messages with that PS3 and my phone. you guys just don't know how much i missed you. i guess that saying is true, 'you don't know what you got til it's gone' lol.

today was my sister's birthday. omg she's 30. i can't believe it. that means i'm getting there even though i'm 6 years behind her. still! 6 years will come and go before you know it. it's such a trip how time flies. in fact, i still can't believe that it was 6 years ago that i graduated from high school. that's crazy. anyway, even though my sis is in san diego and i'm here in hawaii, my lil fam went out to celebrate. actually, to eat noodles since my mom always says we have to eat noodles on our birthdays for long life. after running a few errands with the hubsie, we went to visit the lady who cuts his hair so that she could cut my son's hair. i almost couldn't believe it, he didn't cry at all. it took about 12 and a half minutes (i recorded it lol) and after he was done, he looked just like his daddy. although i didn't get a picture of the two of them together, here are his before and after shots. she gave him a lil mohawk (upon daddy's request lol):

and i just realized that i don't think i've ever shared a pic of my daughter. shame on me! right now she's at grandma's house. usually she likes to stay there and since my apartment is kinda tiny, i usually let her stay at grandma's. we're picking her up this weekend though. anyway, here is a pic of my babies:

i know you guys have probably already seen everyone's haul from Neo Sci-Fi but here is mine anyway lol. Since I'm really into blush these days I got both of the blushes and I'm really liking X-Rocks. It's almost like Sweet As Cocoa but a tad bid lighter. I originally wanted to get Femme Fi e/s as well but decided to skip since I got Shore Leave from Naughty Nauticals in my previous haul. btw i'm also into expanding my collection of highlight e/s lol. no swatches or anything since i'm sure you guys have seen all this somewhere else.

so glad i've got my internet back, now i can go back to making more videos on youtube lol. my goodness i'm so behind, i gotta catch up on my rounds. i'll try to put up some FOTDs later. have a good one guys. :)

to get my internet back. :( i'm using the hubsie's PS3 (so ghetto lol) i hate oceanic cable. i love roadrunner but it's too much. anyone care to share what kind of service you guys use and the rates? i need to look into something cheaper with a fast connection. i'm always giving him heat about playing madden all day long and here i am using his PS3 because i'm desperate for internet lol.

oh em gee. can't believe i haven't touched this in over a month. lol. well hello to anyone who still reads this.

a lot has been going on lately, mostly planning of things. i'm actually going on vacation to visit my sis in san diego and my other sis in boston. so i'm excited for that. i'll be traveling with my tater tots so it will definitely be interesting. i'm leaving on june 25 and will be back towards the end of july. i can't wait.

this sucks. i know i made this new layout to motivate me to update more but obviously it didn't work. lol. i'm really behind in the makeup-bloggin world but it's okay. :)

I needed some brighter colors so it would motivate me to update more. lol. Just looking at that other "blah" layout even made me feel gloomy. Changed the font, made it a bit bigger in case some of you were having trouble with that tiny ass font I had.

Sorry for the MIAness yet again. I don't really expect anyone to keep tabs on this blog because I'm well aware that I don't/can't update as often as I'd like. There are many other beauty bloggers out there who can keep you updated on the latest and the greatest and keep you entertained much more than I ever could. But thanks to you sweeties who do like to see what I'm up to. ;)

Other than that, I've really been lurking on YouTube, as well as trying to make more videos although it is really time-consuming considering the recording, editing and uploading process. But all in all, it's fun stuff. I just recently did a couple videos on my makeup collection (which wasn't really detailed, just skimmed through) and some smokey eyes that I did using e.l.f.

To all of you who have commented, said hello on myspace, etc. THANK YOU and I'm really sorry I haven't replied, if I haven't already. But I love you all. ;)

I got my first Cherry Culture haul in the mail yesterday. More NYX round lippies! lol. But they're all so lovely I can't pick a favorite. I seriously love them all. I'll try to get some swatches up in here although I'll probably do a video. lol. The one I did not get UNfortunately was Sunflower. :( I have no idea why I didn't get it after seeing Ms. Vanessa rockin' it. It is really pretty. I just might have to do another haul (yikes!).

Yay! They won! They truly deserved it. I'm not gonna go bashing Status Quo but all I will say is that it is quite obvious why the "Jabbahottiez" won. :) The headspin for about 30 or so seconds?!? Come on people that was sick as hell.

I'm so happy I get to watch The Hills again. This season looks like it's gonna be juicy. But for some reason Lauren Conrad is the least of my faves. I used to like her but. I dunno. I don't like that she can't just let go of the damn grudge. I like Heidi more than Lauren. At least Heidi tried to woMAN up to L.C. and made the effort to make ammends. I mean, so yeah she's not friends with Heidi anymore for whatever reasons but why care if Audrina wants to be her friend. I say real friends won't let you choose who can be your friend. I just think it's childish to say "you can't be friends with her." Unless of course she messed around with your man. lol. ANYways....sorry to all you who don't watch the show.

I hauled more crap over the week. But I've been so lazy to make a damn video with my digital camera (which btw is a bazillion times better than my crappy ass webcam). I've made other little videos with my kids and whatnot but not any makeup-related stuff. I guess I'm still camera-shy which I shouldn't be because I'm so not shy in real life. lol. no seriously I am very outspoken, loud, etc. lol. Hopefully I'll get over it. I keep saying that. I mean I WILL get over it.

I'm still on the job-hunting prowl. I'm very selective though, I won't settle for less than what I'm capable of doing. I want a position that will allow me to utilize ALL of my skills and not just a few. I wanna choose the right Employer, stable with good benefits. I don't wanna wait too long though because the longer I'm unemployed the harder it'll be to actually get a job because of the gap. I'll keep ya posted.

Other than hauling more makeup that I don't need, (I need to stop that. Foreal.) same old, same old. Nothing new has happened. Changed the playlist just because, it was time for a change. And I guess looking at my blog layout also makes me not in the mood to update. It's so blah. I need a dose of fresh, a shot of new, and a side order of exciting.

Earlier today I got my son and myself ready to go to the mall to get a birthday present for my god daughter's 1st birthday party. Get this, as soon as I was done getting ready, after I got my son's diaper bag together with diapers and milk a toy and a pacifier, blanket, etc..I suddenly got a major headache! How annoying right? Seriously all I had to do was put on my jeans and top and we were out the door but noooo, a throbbing headache decides to pay me a visit. Thank god my son was starting to fall asleep so yup, you guessed it, we took a nap. A long nap, and we never left the house. Hubs was already home from work when we woke up. :( But at least we took a pic together. My daughter is at grandma's. We'll be picking her up tomorrow.

Before I head off to Grandma's with my babies, I took advantage of the kiddie's nap time. As I was cleaning up a few toys that were lying around I just stared at this little tucan for a while and thought of trying out a look with the colors. :) I think this is the most colorful thing I've done in a while.

Here are the swatches from my recent drugstore hauls. :)

The first pic of my 'haul' didn't include the other NYX lippies that I got after taking that pic lol. I am very pleased and satisfied with NYX round lipsticks. They are very rich in color and very smooth. I'm sure you'd have to touch up throughout the day since they aren't long-wearing lipsticks but nonetheless, they have such a wide array of colors to choose from. bold and daring to natural and neutral. i love nude lipsticks so i think i got about 3 or 4 of them. i like circe and echo. i forgot to do a side-by-side swatch with MAC Siss (my HG nude lippie) because I know one of them must be somewhat similar. For $.99 you just can't go wrong. And if you think of it this way, you can have 14 lipsticks for the price of ONE MAC lipstick lol.

I filled up my e.l.f. quad with the last 3 e/s pans that KMart had left. Ivory and Pink Ice are ehh..but I like Golden Glow and Dusk. They are very smooth and silky they almost remind me of veluxe pearls, very blendable and easy to work with. They are very vibrant with a base (i used UDPP).

I am officially in love with Milani nail lacquers. I only used one coat of each for the swatch. There are a few more that I wanna get. I liked how Jaclyn did the swatch for her nail polishes. :)

I was drawn to the new packaging for Prestige eyeshadows and I liked the candy colors. I like Iguana and Cloud 9.

Also picked up some HIP stuff because Don Quijote (grocery store) in Waipahu had them on sale for the cheapest I've seen. I believe the duos were $5.25 (originally around 8-9bucks a pop) and the color cream crayons were..6-something? Anyhoo, I don't ever recall seeing them for that cheap so I caved. The black crayon is, of course, similar to MAC's Sharkskin shadestick. The crayons are very will pigmented and very vibrant in color. They glide on very easily. I was also surprised with the light blue in the showy duo-it looks similar to MAC Parrot. :)

MAC + Sephora Haul

I know I haven't updated all week. just been busy with some things. (kids' doctor/dentist appts, revising my resume, trying to get back into the habit of exercising again, starting some planning on my son's first birthday party, etc.) soo...on with my haul.

i went to the MAC at pearlridge mall because i was heading to my mom's house to pick up the kiddies. the MA that helped me was Tim. he was very helpful and waited on me while i took my granny old time swatching all the goodies. i wanted to get both of the e/s trios but the only thing that stopped me was cloudburst. i already have that. it really annoys me when MAC has repromotes in their pre-made quads and in this case, trios. even though mood ring was really pretty, i just couldn't. i asked tim if they had any nice vice pots left and unforuntately they only had rollickin. so i passed on that. the lippies weren't calling my name so i skipped those as well. especially since i did a major NYX round lipstick haul a few days ago (swatches/video to come). of course i wanted a beauty powder for the sake of the compact. and yay, these weren't really glittery like the fafi ones. i chose smooth harmony instead of alpha girl because i got sassed up from fafi. also because tim said i could also use it for some light contouring. the beauty powder blushes were very attractive so that's where i did some damage. joyous and eversun are really pretty. after i paid for my stuff, tim brought me over to the pigment stand and asked me to pick out some colors that i wanted to sample. he brought out 3 jars. i was really happy since i've never asked for, or have been offered any samples from an MA at MAC. let me say that he was very generous with the piggie samples. i got pink bronze (don't have that) and pink opal and jardin aires. i also picked up some brushes because guess what? i do not own any other full size MAC brushes besides the 109 and 227 (i love them). the rest of my brushes are the ones from the sets (i know, i know). but honestly they have worked for me since i've been using them for a long time but i always hear about how much better quality the full size brushes are. so i caved on those. since sephora was just next door, i also (finally) got my UD deluxe shadow box that everyone and their mama's mamas have been raving about. i originally went there to pick up the full size clinique mild facial liquid soap and clarifying lotion 2 but they ran out of the liquid facial soap. so i'll have to check out ala moana sephora for that. while standing in the checkout line i picked up a trio of juice beauty spf 15 tinted lip moisturizers. it's certified organic and they use real fruit juice for their product. can't wait to try those out.
