It is finally here. The long awaited Half Blood Prince is finally here. The saga continues with a deeper and darker mystery.

Well, I tied the whole group together for what to me is the best installment for the Harry Potter saga, other than the last installment that is. Hehe. We were a strength of six : Nurul, Me, Faan, Yuli, Firdaus & my cousin Raihan. We caught it at the comfy Bugis Cineplex. And trust me, GO & Watch HARRY POTTER!

Synopsis

It follows the book mostly though there are some subtle differences especially with Harry’s Kiss with Ginny. No worries of spoilers here.

Direction

Simply smooth and seamless. I always wonder how they are able to do such shoots especially with the incorporation of CGI effects. Again, brilliant direction by David Yates that was able to pack this 2 1/2 hr movie with full adventure.

Acting

What more can you ask from this stellar cast. Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) , Severus Snape (Alan Rickman), Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) & Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) have certainly upped the ante with the brilliant acting. The heavy drama certainly encompasses these strong actors. The breakdown of Draco Malfoy with his heavy burden was superbly carried out.

Overall

I absolutely loved the movie even though I already read the book. I still teared at the ending though. Simply doesn’t disappoint as the magic of Harry Potter continues. I can’t wait for the next installment and am happy that they have dragged it to 2 movies. For those who have never read the saga before, please don’t start now. It will spoil it for you. Just patiently wait for the other 2 movies.

Ratings

Synopsis 4/5
Direction 4/5
Acting 5/5
Overall 5/5

Overall, Get ready for all the action and suspense. : )

For Nurul’s birthday, I wanted to do something out of the norm. Thankfully, Nurul has been investing for my wardrobe although it is still kinda old. Haha. Well, I had to think out the box to come up with a new look. I give you the “All Sunshine Jason Mraz” outfit.

I have always loved my TopMan t-shirt going for just $15 on sale at that time. Couple that with my Buffalo $50 jeans and a black fedora hat from TopMan and thus I was equipped for that special day with my lovely Nurul. The vest in my opinion was the touch of class as it beats the typical jeans and t-shirt. You can thank Nurul for the vest and fedora hat. Overall, comfortable for out hot humid weather for any activities. On a funny note, my good friend Imran cheekily said that I was the “healthier” version of Jason Mraz. Hahaha. Damn, guess I ate too much for her birthday. Thanks again to Badoque for pulling an impressive dinner.

Outfit Line Up

Topman Fedora Hat $30

Vest $40

Buffalo Jeans $50

Dockers Shoes $50

I can’t walk in anything above 3 inches and yet, I just purchased one myself over at Gojane.com. Silly me!

That’s my latest shoe purchase. When I first saw it over on Go Jane’s website I was over the moon. I’ve been wanting to get myself a pair of ‘Olive’ green heels but I didn’t expect I would end up with one I could barely walk in. Hahaha! Due to my ignorance, the Gojane.com stated that the shoes were of 3 and 3/4 inches of height. But I assuming that I can easily walk in any heels thought lightly of the warning. Besides, I had a hard time finding the perfect shoe with those colours. Thus, seeing the picture of it instantly made me click the ‘Purchase’ button and the USD24 something price tag did not help at all.

Now, I am a gladiator learning how to walk in my killer Amazonian heels!

Tonight, a legend shall be remembered. A legend that has touched so many lives. A legend for all of his idiosynchracies, united a world thanks to his style, class and especially his music. There will never be another Michael Jackson. Great icons come and go. Sinatra, Elvis, Lennon, P Ramlee & Sudirman. All came and went, leaving in their path a revolution of their own. I have always wondered how it felt to be in the period when John Lennon was shot. The emotions when music died. Now I know how it feels, unfortunately, it had to be the passing of my most favourite musician. A memorial tribute shall be given in memory of Michael at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles at 130am tonight. I will not miss it.

I will never forget Michael Jackson as he bewitched me with his songs and his music. Moonwalker the movie was a movie that I shall never forget. I was only 5 years old and yet I knew that I wanted to be Michael Jackson. From his Smooth Criminal style to his brilliant ‘moonwalk’. Christmas always was a time for my brother and I to wear a hat and simply ‘moonwalk’ across the floor, just aiming to have that small glimpse of being Michael. Songs that always touch a chord in my heart will be ABC, I’ll be there, Beat It, Dirty Diana, Billie Jean, Man in the Mirror,Wanna be starting something, Smooth Criminal, Bad, Thriller, Black & White, Remember the time, In the closet, Jam, Scream, Ghosts & Blood on the Dance floor. Haiz, emotions just fills my eyes when i remember his songs. A young, fat & cute me gushing over all his songs, moves and even his magical glove.

Where ever you are Michael Jackson, I wish you find happiness and peace. And most of all, thank you for touching my soul and millions around the world. Another Michael, there shall never be.

I know, I know some of you might think that I am nuts. But I can’t help it. I loved my previous Canon. It was pretty with crystals all over it. However, I need something which can fit into most of my bags just like the above Canon IXUS 100 IS. I can’t bear to sacrifice a couple of makeup space just to include my slightly bulky camera but with the above Canon IXUS 100 IS I sure can now. Not it fits into my little dinner purses very nicely.

When it comes to specs, of course this camera lacks the hardware of my previous camera. But I can assure you that this beauty works as well.

Recently I went for a makeup workshop by Doll Me Up Cosmetics (DMU) just to learn more about eye makeup techniques. I’ve always been adventurous when it comes to makeup and especially eye makeup. However, what I usually inspired to do turns out to be disastrous. Hence, the DMU workshop was really insightful and very beneficial. That was three weeks ago. This (below) was yesterday.

I started off with MAC Groundwork Paint Pot as base (I found out from DMU trainer that eyeshadow base/primer is a must for oily lids like mine). After smearing base all over my eyelids, I highlight my brow bone area with white eyeshadow and used Stage Eye Shadow Mono in Lemongrass and lastly Stila’s Eye Shadow Prize (Turqoise Blue). I finished off with my favourite eyeliner from Bourjois and mascara from Maybelline. All without spending extra for new makeup! I like!!
