I Love My City Faridabad Team

I love My city has launched a new Initiative in Faridabad called ‘Swachta 365′, as we believe cleanliness aka swatch cannot be achieved by practising only once a year but every day to make an impact.

The initiative was launched in Sector 16 Market by Cleaning a park which was being used as a dump yard for years.

Also If we pledge only 356 days, that is, only a year, to keep our surroundings clean we can transform how this city looks by the end of those 365 days.

To launch the event Amisha Chaudhary (MS United Nations), Sri. Rajesh Chechi (ACP Crime), Sri. S Puniya (XEN) and Sri Vijay Dhaka (XEN) honoured us with their presence.

At the start of the Event ILMC(I Love My City) Founder Mr PP Singh, talked about how small and simple actions towards cleanliness everyday create a lasting impact on the city.

Rajesh Chechi (ACP Crime) took out time from his busy schedule to attend the event and congratulate ILMC on their hard work and cleaning the park. He was also instrumental in the achievement as he was also providing support through the MCF and keeping track of the progress. He also talked about how every citizen can help the cause of pollution and smog in the city through awareness and action.

After that he along with Sri. S Puniya (XEN) and Sri Vijay Dhaka (XEN) honoured the MCF employees who had worked day and night in transforming the area.

Amisha Chaudhary who often travels to different countries representing United Nations and their causes talked about how ‘Swachta 365’ is a very important initiative for our country as not only it affects our lives but also impacts tourism. She also brought attention to the growing problem of Pollution and Smog and how small initiatives from every citizen goes a long way.

• Trees can complement the architecture or design of buildings or entire neighborhoods.
• Environmental Benefits
• Trees offer many environmental benefits.
• Trees reduce the urban heat island effect through evaporative cooling and reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches parking lots and buildings. This is especially true in areas with large impervious surfaces, such as parking lots of stores and industrial complexes.
• Trees improve our air quality by filtering harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide from the air we breathe.
• Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe.
• Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding.
• Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.
• Economic Benefits
• Well placed trees can reduce your cooling costs in the summer by shading the south and west sides of your home. If deciduous trees are used, they will allow the sun to pass through and warm your home in the winter.

Participated Tree Plantation Event on the eve of World Environment Day with Mrs. south Asia as Chief Guest

I Love My City took the initiative, lead by PP Singh and cleared this hurdle, he was joined by group of volunteers of GKN Driveline India Limited where Mr.PP Singh also works, even the truck drivers and cleaners sitting nearby joined to clear the obstruction on the road

The event was planned on 2nd May 2015 during the lunch break with an assumption that it was a simple task and will be completed in 30 minutes, but the heap was rock solid and it was very tough to break the earth, in 30 minutes we could break only 20% of it. Suddenly a JCB appeared from nowhere to help us and within no time the heapf of heard earth was cleared. “Where there is a will, there is a way”

Children crave for an open space to play which has become scarce in this rapid growing urbanization and they too are curbed from playing in the parks as elders too need the parks for walk and talk

This is a very common story across the city and Sector-15A was no different, but the outlook and desire of Manbir Kaur & PP Singh CEO and Founder of I Love My City changed the situation

There was an open un-used land of 1.35 acres inside the sector which was an eye sore, dumping ground and used for cattle rearing.

Residents surrounding that area had attempted to clean it but felt helpless.

Manbir Kaur & PP Singh CEO and Founder of I Love My City decided to convert this barren piece of land to a “Place to Play.

The journey started with cleaning of the area from malba and wild bushes, labourer were hired to do this activity. One of the member of I Love My City Mr. Navneet Gumber provided with fresh soft soil (brown mitti)for layering the ground. Neighbours joined in the cause and it became a community project. One of the neighbour who is Badminton coach gave his inputs for making the court

The results were remarkable and welcome by whole community irrespective of their age, I Love My City is planning to provide lights and convert the whole area in a Sports Complex which will be unique milestone and inspiration to many

Sector 21C market is the biggest and the dirtest market of Faridabad, we have taken this project to clean, provide dustbins, educate shop owners, market users to keep it clean and put garbage in dustbins only. The current state is dated 14th Sept 2014
