/gasp Bank space! If you’re like me you’re constantly having to evaluate items to decide which you can keep, and which you should vendor, or AH, or delete, or d/e or give to the guild, or…. JUST so that you can free up a little space in your bags and your bank! This can be a real pain whether you’re trying to work on your profession, or you just can’t force yourself to finally get rid of that REALLY COOL piece of armor you’ve outleveled. If you’ve never experienced this problem, you’re either VERY good with managing your items, or you just throw away WAY too much stuff

Here are two very simple things to remember:

1. Each character you create gets a free bank, even at level 1.
2. The mailbox is your friend!

One of the easiest things to do is to make one or two level 1 characters, run them from the start point to the capitol city, and park them by the mailbox outside the bank. I would recommend for us Allies to use a Human character, because you can easily run to SW and have full access to IF without having to pay to fly or run through a cave full of nasty baddies. Since IF is one of the big hubs of trade activity, this may serve you well later on. This way you can mail things from your main to these bank toons, and have them store the items in your newly acquired bank! As you make more money, you can also fill this character up with some 14/16 slot bags for extra space!

The great thing about the mailbox, is that it holds tons of items for you for up to 30 days! When your bags are getting filled with items you want to take to the auction house, or mats you need for your profession, just mail the items to one of your characters and leave them in the mailbox until you have enough space to take them out With this method, you just have to be certain that you check your mailbox often and don’t let any mail expire, because then it’s lost!!

Today, I set out on a new journey, a journey to share with you all that I can about my experiences in /cue suspense music *dun Dun DUN* Man vs WoW – An Epic Adventure *ba-ba-BAH* In the following posts I will attempt to share with you what I have learned over the last few years, in the hopes that YOU might benefit I am by no means an expert, I’m learning new things about the game all the time, but by sharing things that make my WoW experience more fun and exciting, I hope to make YOUR WoW experience more fun and exciting! I dinged 40 today and I promptly dashed over to Darnasus and satisfied my itch! I bought my riding skill for 88 gold and then I bought each of the level 40 cat mounts for 8 gold, 80 silver each. Paired with a handy random mount macro I am all set to tromp all over Azeroth. The macro I am using looks something like this…

When you go to the website do to downloads, preview version, and then scroll down and download the auctioneerFullSuite. install into your addon folder and get ready to go!

Once you log in, go to the Auction House (AH) and open a window… you should notice a diffrence right away. The Auctioneer system is designed to accumulate a data base to compare prices and make sure you get the most competitive prices and that your auctions will sell. It does this by scanning the auction house. When you first open the AH window you should see a “Scan” Button at the lower left hand side of your window. This allows Auctioneer to scan the entire content of the auction house and add it to its database. Trying to do this everyday for at least two weeks is a great starting point so that you get a really nice accurate database to work off of…after those two weeks, just whenever you can is fine. If you don’t play everyday no worries, just a few times a week will do it.

After you finish scanning you can begin posting your auctions. Auctioneer will use its database to suggests prices for each item you want to sell. These are great guidelines and you should stick with them at first. A great feature in there also is that if you just finished farming somewhere and you have multiple stacks of wool or something, you can sell them all at once, no more of this individual posting. Just set one stack on the sale window and then near the bottom you can tell them how many of the item you want to sell.(this photo doesn’t show that option, but its there!)

Now that you’ve cleared your bag out and are ready to start the buying process go to the “Bottom Scanner Button” You can configure it to your needs (Hopefully if you have a bank you are already a enchanter, although you don’t have to be…) you can set it so that it will look for disenchant items, resale items, vendor’s items etc. )

Once you have it set to match your skill and needs, hit the “play” button at the top left corner… in moment or so it should start poping up items that it recomends you bid or buy. In the pop up it will tell you its reason, how much it thinks you can make off the item etc. From here you just buy bid and enjoy. Make sure you leave youself enough money to post your auctions when you get them from your mailbox.

Also a last comment, when you go out questing you’ll notice as you scan over your bags you’ll see a bunch of information on each item. This is auctioneer letting you know how much each item is worth, so if you run out of room you don’t throw away something worth 20g!

Verigan’s Fist (BoP)

+7 STA, +6 INT, +12 SPR
Classes: Paladin
Item Level 31

As you can see, its a Pally specific blue with a good mix of Pally stats (though I’d probably trade in the SPI with STR, or more STA/INT), and a whopping 25.6 DPS. Being a slow 2-hander, it is also perfect for use with Seal of Command, the best (IMO) skill for a leveling Paladin, as well as an end-game Retnoob. The best thing about it is, you can have it as early as level 20, which means your all set until at least you’re late 30s or early 40s. This is the main reason Pally twinks rule PVP at this level range.

Now you might ask, if this is such a great weapon, why do I still see LVL 20-30 Pallies running around with a weak 1-hander. Simple answer to this would be that its a pain to get. Unless you have friends in high places (at least 40+) or enough gold to do runs, you won’t be able to easily get it on your own until at least level 30+, though it might be doable to a 25. Here’s how you get it:

1. At level 20, you’ll receive the quest “Tome of Valor” at the Cathedral in SW from Duthorian Rall. This leads you to Westfall where you must protect Daphne Stillwell Defias Thugs. The Defias will come in three waves, the first wave having 3 level 17-18s, the second have 4 18-19s, and the last having 5 19-20s. Once done, you will be sent back to Duthorian Rall in SW where you’ll receive a nice Shield (”Bastion of Stormwind”, 495 Armor, +5 Def Rating) and the skill Sense Undead (similar to Hunter’s sense skills except works on undead only).

2. Once you turn in, you will be given the quest “The Test of Righteousness” where you will talk to Daphne’s husband, Jordan Stillwell. He tells you that with the right stuff, he can forge an uber weapon for you (not exact words). Here are the four items in question:

a. Whitestone Oak Lumber
- this drops from (almost 100% drop rate if a Paladin in the group is doing the quest) Goblin Woodcarvers in the Deadmines, in Westfall. You should see these mobs in the same room as Sneed (the big shredder machine thingie).

b. Jordan’s Refined Ore Shipment
- this can be found in Loch Modan. You have to talk to Bailor Stonehand to get the quest to get the ore first. He is in Thelsamar. After talking to him, head to the Mo’grosh Ogre mound and get the unrefined ore in a box at the center of the mound. The box is right next to some trees, a bit hard to miss. This ogres used to be elite. Now they are just normal mobs so the quest is easy to finish. After getting the ore, return to Bailor and he will refine it for you.

c. Jordan’s Smithing Hammer
- This is IMHO the hardest part of the quest. For this you need to get to Shadowfang Keep, in Silverpine Forest deep in the heart of horde teritorry, and get to the stables (the one with the three elite horses). The hammer is on top of a box, right in front of the horses. My advice, bring along a friend (preferably a patient one with at least level 40 toon). You should be able to two man this with a high enough level friend.

d. Purified Kor Gem
- This is the easiest for the four items. For this, you need to get to Darkshore and talk to Thundris Windreaver. He will send you to Blackfathom Depths in Ashenvale to get an unpurified Kor Gem. Note that you don’t need to actually go into the instance. You just need to go to the entrance of the instance (right before you enter the actual instance) and kill nagas. The drop rate is pretty good at I think about 30%. After this, return to Thundris and have him purify it.

3. Once you get all 4 items, go back to Jordan and after watching him do his thing, you will have a brand new, shiny Verigan’s Fist.

Now what do you do with the Verigan’s Fist? For me, if you haven’t specced Ret yet, do so. Make sure you get Seal of Command. Seal of Command + Verigan’s = uber pwnage, PVP or PVE. Then, if you have the gold, find a nice enchant for it like fiery. You will be using this thing until you’re late 30s at the very least so make the most out of it.

Again, let me emphasize that this is Alliance only. Hordies get the Blood-tempered Ranseur. It is much easier to get, but ultimately, vastly inferior to Verigan’s Fist.

So for this post i wanted to see what you are using, if you are using, or if you need help with the whole addon idea itself!

Here is what you will need:

• Enchanting profession
• Auctioneer addon
• Postal addon (optional, but worth having)

Here are the basics of what we will be doing in this method.

1. Buy up as much of the cheapest green armor and weapons as you can afford
2. Disenchant them
3. Sell the resulting enchanting materials on the auction house
4. Collect all your money

First things first. This guide assumes you know the basics of using the Auctioneer addon and how to use the auction house (AH). While I will explain the mechanics of how to quickly do this method, I will not go into the detail on Auctioneer or the AH. This also works best after having scanned the AH daily for at least a week.

Step 1. Buy up items to Disenchant

Start by selecting the armor category in the AH window. Choose uncommon as the filter for results. Hit the search button. You will be given a list of all the items that are green or better currently listed on the AH. Now hit the price heading two times to sort your results from lowest to highest and hit search again. Now you have the same list but with the cheapest items listed first.

Begin going through the list and buying as many items as you want. I generally do not go over 40s on any one item. If you can spend 5-20s each on the items that is even better. Ideally you are looking for items the disenchant into 2.5+ [Strange Dust] or better. Certain items like the [Solid Bronze Ring] are perfect items for this method.

Repeat the steps above with whatever money you have left in the weapons category. For weapons, the best results are ones the disenchant into 1.5 [Greater Magic Essence] or better.

TIP – be sure are leave yourself at least 5s when done purchasing so you have enough money to post your enchant mats.

Step 2. Disenchant all the purchased items.

Now run over to your mailbox and begin collecting your purchases and disenchanting each one. It helps to have at least 8 slot bags in all of your slots. This will only cost you about 40s to buy on the AH and it should be your first purchase with you new income

After working through all your items, depending on how much money you were working with, you should have at least a couple stacks of [Strange Dust], [Greater Magic Essence], and some other misc. mats.

Step 3. Post all the new enchanting mats on the AH.

This is pretty straight forward. Post all the mats you just disenchanted on the AH. I use the “post auctions” tab of Auctioneer for this and generally all the addon to price each auction for me.

If you did not scan the AH before starting this session I generally hit the UIrefresh button before posting the first stack of each item. This will get the current price listing on the AH for just that item. This gives you the most accurate snapshot of what your competition is listed as.

After having posted all your auctions it’s time to logout and do something else for a few hours.

Step 4. Collect all your money!

Depending on the time of day you posted your auctions, you might needs to wait up to six hours for all your auctions to be purchased. You might only need to wait 30 minutes. Almost any time of day is good for this method on the Caelestrasz server since it has players from across the globe (across the timezones)

If you are using the Postal addon, hit the Open All button and laugh all the way to the bank over your newly earned money

For upper level players, we would really encourage you to not sell those extra 8 slot bags, or 20 stacks for linen cloth for 30s. Drop them in the bank where they will be really appreciated by our newer members and alts

It is just so fun to complete an armor set. Even at this level (20) it provides such a sense of accomplishment…and it looks fricken awesome too!

So…from here on out, if you so choose, Children of Iluvatar will be open to first name basis among members and officers. To help this out we will encourage anyone interested to add their first name in the guild info for your toons. To add your first name to your toon’s guild info open up the Social Palette (o), click on the guild tab, find your toon in the list, and add your name to the note in the info box.

o down or kill the monsters, you need damage. The classes that fit this role must do high DPS (damage-per-second) or damage. The best classes for this role are the Mage, Warlock, Hunter, and Rogue. All four of these classes have the potential to deal the most damage in a party or raid depending on their skill, talent build, and equipment. You might see someone asking for a DPS class. This is what they’re looking for. Keep in mind that high damage classes need to watch their threat/aggro to prevent the monster from leaving the main tank (Warrior usually). Rogues can use Feint while Hunters can use Feign Death. Mages and Warlocks need to just stop attacking for a while until the other players in the party or raid do more damage or the tank gains more aggro/threat.

I don’t want to leave out the charter signers who are still with us, props to Briaae (rouge) Dencell (didnt get your class before i signed off) and Peacelock (warlock)!

COI is about making your game experience the best it can be… to that end we are asking YOU to give content to the website. Post cool things you’ve figured out (tips), cool things you haven’t figured out (questions), and almost anything you can think of in or out of game! • Boxing Matches-Everyone circle up and get ready for barehanded no buff no armor boxing…. just to see what you can do…. might want to work on that unarmed skill
• Fishing Tournaments- I know Blizzard hosts a fishing tournament every so often, but why not have your won? Get out there are start fishing, collecting sweet gear and finding great spots…shoot…you can even make some money off it on the side!
• Screen Shot Competition- Who doesn’t enjoy pausing in some gorgeous location and taking a quick picture of themselves? well…now you have even more reason to justify all those files taking up space! gear out, dress up, groom your pet, mount up and have some fun!
• Racing- I never did track in school….(bad knee) but that doesn’t mean you aren’t amazing in WOW! Race across Westfall or be the first through Stormwind, show everyone that not only are you a running machine…you know all the short cuts! Just remember to avoid the beasties….
• Instance Runs- This one time….we aggroed a whole instance and the guild fought them off in a giant Guild raid at the end…it was awesome….want to try and make my dream a reality? (insert puppy dog eyes here)
• Bring Me…- a rabbits paw….finally…they have a purpose! See who can find loot the fastest and bring it trade it to the judge the fastest! (items will vary…so don’t start hoarding those lucky charms!)

In order to make these a bit more interesting there will be a entry fee according to the lvl of participants….i.e. Lvl 10 and below will have a 2s entrance fee, 10-20 will have a 20s entrance fee or something…..

A fun use for macros is for fishing ? and I don’t care what anyone says, I like fishing, and macros make it even more fun. Here is my simple fishing macro.
