A time lapse of a nice summers day using my action camera. The low level (cumulus) clouds boil up and are travelling west to east (the prevailing wind in these parts) and the high level (cirrus) clouds go the other way. The occasional white streaks are contrails from airliners going to or coming from North America. (watch on YouTube for HD)

Not so much an "Image from the Road" as a movie from my upstairs window. A time lapse movie of a short Scottish winter's day with the sun not rising far above the horizon.

The movie was shot on an action camera taking and image every 5 seconds and compiling 6,152 images into a movie at 60 frames per second thus 300x speed.

Torthorwald Castle near Dumfries. I've always thought that this was a strange name for Scotland. Sounds Scandinavian or Germany (The Gate to Thor's Forest?) Though it seems it's a family name. Now ruined stump the castle is thought to date from the late 14th century and was last occupied in 1715.
