I'm so excited to share these new stickers with you! Ever since we introduced our Holo Kitty stickers, they have been a best seller. We originally offered them in pink and black, but the when the black sold out I only kept restocking the pink. (Sorry to those of you who've asked about the black coming back!)

New Doodletown Pouch + Lower Prices!

I've got a fresh new stack of Doodletown Pouches to share with you today! This is one of my favorite patterns I've designed. Probably because it just sort of happened when I was happily doodling away whatever came to mind. No plan, just fun.

My design is printed (by Spoonflower) on heavy cotton twill and I lined these with a fun salmon-orange print. You can keep lots of drawing and crafting tools tucked away in one of these!

I'm also happy to let you know that I've lowered the prices of all my handmade pouches! This is because I've decided not to sell them wholesale, at least for the time being. Although it's exciting to have these in retail shops, doing so required me to keep a low wholesale price (too low!) so that when shops double that amount, the retail price wasn't crazy high. Anyway, now when you visit my shop you'll see all the pouches are significantly less. Three cheers for that!

Tiny Things Collection Note Cards

Creating these cards makes me so happy. I really wish I could have a full-time job making these arrangements. I have always collected little things (I know I'm not the only one!) and am happy to have a use for my tiny treasures (and an excuse to add more to my collection). I piece these together like improvised jigsaw puzzles, carefully placing, shifting and tweaking as I build and expand the layout.

The little letters are from a vintage ceramic set... It's fun brainstorming phrases, some pretty silly, others more traditional. I'm always open to suggestions if you have any ideas!

There are eight cards in this series so far, the six pictured here and two winter/holiday themes (let's not think about that season yet). You can purchase each individually or as a set in our shop (also available to retailers wholesale).

I hardly need mention how much kids enjoy looking at these... Anyone up for a game of I Spy?

Citrus Slide Socks

I haven't posted here in over a year, what with the ease of sharing on Instagram and all... But I kind of miss this space, so here's a pair of socks.

These took a while to finish, partly because, even though I loved the colors of the skein when I got it, as soon as I started (well, a couple inches in) I really disliked how it was knitting up. I feel like this happens a lot with me and this type of yarn. Anyway, I powered through, determined to finish them even though I was sort of grossed out by the color combos all along the way... Would I even wear them? Since finishing and blocking, these have grown on me a bit. They'll look great under a tall pair of boots!

I enjoyed drawing all these white tigers and I love how the finished pattern turned out! I had a yard printed on organic cotton sateen and I can't wait to sew with it, though I haven't decided what to make yet. Cute Rodent Pouches

I lined these with a cute yellow and white cotton floral and used peachy zippers for a fun color combo. Available in the shop in four handy sizes! My second, third and fourth pairs of hand-knit socks. (Here's my first.) Each is an improvement on the previous (and also a little bit taller). I just finished the yellow pair and they are totally my favorites - the little cables make for such a perfectly snug fit.

Tees for Two

Made last spring, this is probably my favorite sewing project of the year (so far)... Matching tees for my niece and me. Seems like a good time to post (and wear!) these, considering all the little fuzzballs scurrying around underfoot, stuffing their cheeks with acorns and such.

A Flock of Larks

Well, maybe four larks does not a flock make, but still… I've a growing stack of tees made from Grainline Studio's Lark pattern. (Three more have been added since taking these photos!) This basic pattern comes with various neck and sleeve options… I made my first v-neck and tried the scoop, but the boat-neck is my favorite. Only a couple small adjustments were needed to perfect the fit for me. I've been pulling out knits from my stash to add to my flock. The Branch Stripe fabric is my own design (available here) and the other three were thrifted… I'd been saving the amazing owl fabric for so long. Happy to finally be able to wear it!

My First Socks

I'd been wanting to attempt socks for a while, but was trepidatious… It all looked tricky to me, with so many heel, toe and other options. Eventually I just had to settle on a pattern and go. (Plus a little friendly "sock challenge" didn't hurt.) Turns out socks aren't as complicated as I thought. Especially starting with knitted socks in Made by Hand, a simple, clearly written pattern with good photos. Anyway, I suspected that I'd enjoy knitting socks and boy was I right. I'm already halfway through the second sock of my second pair and I can't wait to finish so I can start another! P.S. This is really cruddy yarn, so I'm not even going to mention what it is. Ha.

Black-Brown-Blue Floral Blouse

Here's a new top I made using my favorite vintage blouse pattern (McCalls 7425 from 1964). I've used this pattern twice before (sailboats and black bows) and the only change I made this time was to add a little extra length to the back hem. It's really lovely in this flowy floral rayon (from Joann's). I'm tempted to try a popover version of this pattern using something from my vintage stash… The hardest part is deciding which fabric!

Bloomsbury Baby Sweater + Bobble Bonnet

Hmmm. Maybe it's time I finished this post… This sweater and bonnet were a 1st birthday present from my niece last October! It was a while ago, but I do remember really enjoying making the sweater. In worsted weight yarn it knit up really fast. I think this pattern looks cute on babies, but even better on older girls. I'd definitely like to make another. Pattern / Yarn

Leftover yarn (I had just barely enough!):

Why are bobbles so adorable on babies? This bonnet turned out super-cute. I used silk-alpaca yarn so it's soft and luxurious. For such a little knit, it took a bit longer because of the bigger bobbles. It would be fun to make another version with smaller bumps like the subtle ones on the Diode Hat. (Bonnet pattern).

Sydänmaa Mittens

More knitting! I made a pair of mittens, my first, and I really really like them. I used this free pattern and Drops Nepal yarn. These were pretty quick and easy to knit and they fit my hands perfectly. The only change I made to the pattern was casting on 4 less stitches for an extra snug cuff. I just added them back in before the cable part began. Wearing these I think I can put up with (a little) more snow.

Diode Hat

Here's a hat I've probably already worn more than any other I've knit for myself so far. I love the snug/warm doubled brim and tiny bobbles. The pattern is Diode by Erica Knits and I used Drops Alpaca. Thinner yarn and a lot of ribbing made it not the quickest hat to knit, but it was way worth it.

Three Grayscale Tees

A few long-sleeve tees I made for myself recently. Pretty basic, but it's nice to have some knit tops that fit well with sleeves that are long enough. I was nervous to make the placket on the black one, but it turned out pretty well, teeny bones all lined up and everything. I got a wee bit fancy on the dark grey tee by making a slightly scalloped edge on the neck rib with one of the special stitches on my machine. I used McCalls M6747 with some alterations (took out the center back seam, too). Definitely need to make more of these!
