My colleague Sheila created one for me from scratch and this pattern is an adaptation of that. A very quick and easy gift for someone.<div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Materials</span></div><div>Yarn: DK in a forest green colour</div><div>Needles: 3mm</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Method</span></div><div>Cast on 10 sts. </div><div>Row 1-8: Knit in k1, p1 rib.</div><div><br /></div><div>Change to st st. </div><div>Row 9: Inc 12 sts , p across</div><div>Row 10: Inc 12 sts, k across</div><div>Row 11: p2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div>Row 12: k2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div>Row 13: p across</div><div>Row 14: k across</div><div>Row 15: p2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div>Row 16: k2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div>Row 17: p across</div><div>Row 18: k across</div><div>Row 19: p2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div>Row 20: k2tog at beginning and end of row</div><div><br /></div><div>Then work the decrease rows for every row until 16 stitches remain.</div><div><br /></div><div>Continuing in st st, inc 5 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.</div><div>Work one more row at this width, then work decrease rows as above until 1 st remains.</div><div>Cast off.</div><div><br /></div><div>Repeat pattern for back.</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Finishing:</span></div><div>Join front and back together and seam, leaving a gap at the bottom of the 'trunk'.  Turn inside out, stuff with cushion stuffing and join trunk seam.
