I like this noticeboard as the ribbon is much more versatile than the magnet type board which can only handle bits and pieces up to a certain thickness before they slide off. I’d love it for myself but if I were lucky I think I know a little girl who’d love it for all her notes and knick knacks.

Mmmmmm I love soup. I’ve had some of their soups before and they’ve been quite scrummy. I didn’t realise that they brought out a recipe book. I’m going to have to check it out.

I love homemade soup. I tend to find recipes through my iPhone app.

Well, what a palaver! It worked in a way although when I pinned something it then went to the iPhone app and I had to choose the board, choose pin it and it told me It couldn’t do it. Then I went back to Safari and lo and behold it had opened a tab for me to pin it. Does this happen to you?

Hi Jenny

I use Pinterest fine on my iPad, but installing the Pin it button was a bit of a pain!

Download the Pinterest app (I think it is just for iPhone at this stage) and log into it on your iPad. Then go to your profile, then account (top left) and select install bookmarklet. You’ll find instructions there, follow the 4 step process.

Once this is done, when you are browsing Safari on your iPad you should be able to access your Pin it bookmarklet through your bookmarks button.

I too am a pinterest member but whilst I can do repins I can’t do pins using my iPad. I have been able to put a pin it button on safari on the pc but not on the iPad. As I mostly use the iPad now it is very frustrating.

Yes, this pattern is the same, knitted along the length. It uses 3 skeins, each in different but coordinating colourways. You work 2 rows in each colourway. After each row you cut the yarn leaving an 8 inch length and you leave an 8 inch tail when you start each row so that it becomes “self-fringing”. Leaving the 8inch ends at beginning and end of each row prevents any pooling row to row.

I made a linen stitch scarf one Christmas and it turned out beautifully, but it was knitted along the length of the scarf so each row took a while – is that how yours is? Hello!

I bought exactly the same book recently from my book club at work! Like you, I don’t usually buy anything, but this one really caught my eye – I love soup and take some everyday for lunch at work. It was also a bargain price – even cheaper than Amazon (I checked!).

I occasionally buy the Covent Garden soup, so it feels really nice to have their actual recipes! I have to admit I haven’t made any of them yet, but will do in the near future and let you know what they’re like.

You asked for Canadians to comment on the “accent” part of the podcast so here I am. Yes Charles is correct some Canadians are known for adding “eh” at the end of the sentence however I am not one of them as I grew up in Montreal, Québec. Canada is a big country so we definately have our regional accents. The Guernsey accent reminds me of our Atlantic Canadians (P.E.I, Nova Scotia and especially Newfoundland)Atlantic Canadians’ speach is very sing-songey if that is a word. I love listening to it and their colloquialisms are charming! Love listening to your podcasts, Kerry

I have four little children, all at primary school,and who go to dancing, ballet, football, judo, practise etc…. I always have notes and memos scattered around the kitchen, stuck to cupboards, the fridge door etc! I would love to have one place to display them all so I don’t forget! These notice boards would be fantastic as they are so bright and cheerful so I wouldn’t miss a note!

Hi Martine, so much beautiful knitting! You realy know how to inspire. at the moment I knit Marius sweater for my 10 year old daughter and I`v just started on a Traveling woman shawl just for me.
