Admittedly, I'm a late adopter of the awesomeness that is Pinterest. I put it off as long as I could...but the idea of creating visual bookmarks was just too tempting. Now I'm officially obsessed an have already spent countless hours online liking and pinning things all over the place. Swoon!

crafty.cute: 52 Weeks of Mail!

Have you heard of it? 52 Weeks of Mail is a fun activity meant to rekindle the dying art of the handwritten letter. You informally commit to sending out one piece of handwritten mail each week to whomever you choose. I joined in because I wanted to encourage myself to make an effort to slow down for just a bit every week to purposefully write someone a note and mail it. Not to mention, my penmanship could use a lot of exercise!

This week, I was lucky enough to be a recipient of my awesome friend Kayce's second week letter...and it came by way of the cutest bat you've ever seen (she made it out of recycled t-shirts even!)

What'd I tell ya? Cuuuute, right?

I should mention that the little orange "o" you see (click on the picture!) is actually a hole that reveals the texture of another piece of recycled t-shirt sewn inside the card! So cute I can hardly stand it! :)

I totally admit it - I LOVE Gene Kelly!

I grew up watching all of his musicals with my mother and I'm guessing that had a lot to do with my "former life" as a singer, dancer, actor way back in the day :)

I love all of his movies, but my all-time favorite is "An American in Paris"

I'll admit it. I'm kind of a photography snob,

especially when it comes to product photography.

I don't know if you know this about me, but I like teaching people how to do stuff. Whether it's jewelry fabrication, small object photography or learning how to run a small creative business, I am always putting together lesson plans in my head to share with the creative community.

Whenever I'm up in front of a group of people, I oftentimes will skip over a significant part of the stuff I want to share out of sheer nervousness. Those are the times when I need to have this handy:

aaaaannndd...I'm back!

Moving my studio to a new location has made blogging kind of difficult,

but things are finally settling down now so I think I can

start to try to get back on schedule.

In the meantime, I'm still obsessed with houses.
