Hello people!

I recently became a member of the war room in the Warriorforum, and it’s probably the best thing I have purchased online regarding Internet Marketing.

You’ll find plenty of WSO’s there that war room members will get for free.
Anyways, once inside, I found a post where a guy named Austin Delaney is giving away his keyword research tool for free! That being said, it’s not “the best” keyword research tool, but it works very well, and it doesn’t have a recurring cost like most others. (It’s totally free indeed!)

I signed up for his list to receive updates and in the welcome email he gave me permission to share it with you guys =)

Here is a video overview:

Keyword research are done in many different ways, and you will probably hear many different ways to do it. For me, I think I have a quite unique way of doing it, since I haven’t read about it anywhere, and it works like a charm.

I usually use the built-in keyword research tool in senuke, as it does most of the work for me, other than picking the good keywords. – Which is quite simple once I have the data.

But the most important thing, is to find the keywords that give the highest ROI, with least amount of time spent. I only focus on keywords I know I can dominate, and I always do. I’m not great a creating websites, but I know how to make a SEO-optimized wordpress blog. Then all I have to do is to include my long-tail keyword in the title of the post,in the tags, and a few times in the main body of the post. I might also submit an article if neccesary. Then I go for dominating the entire frontpage of google with web 2.0. – Which is quite simple. I personally use senuke for this, but it can easily be done manually, and it doesn’t take that long.

But Preben, how about the keyword research?

Yes, I’ll tell you.

I use a combination of wordtracker and google keywords. Then, all I do to analyse the competition, is to use the little-known command in google called “allintitle”. It tells me how many competing websites are using my long-tail keyword in their own title.

It might even be for a keyword phrase that gets 29million results when you do a normal search for it, but only 9 of them have the entire long-tail keyword in their title. If that is the case, I will definately go for that keyword.

Another thing I look at, is if there are any web 2.0 sites in the search, and how they rank.If there is a digg post with the entire keyword in the title, and they have claimed the 78.th spot in google, I might think twice. But unless that is the case, I’ll go for it.

Once I have gathered a list of good keywords with little “title” competition, I’ll start writing blog posts with the keywords in the titles, and submit several unique stories to digg, propeller, furl etc. with different titles, but still keeping the keyword phrase intact. That will give me several spots on the front page of google, for each post. And it goes fast too!

So to sum up how to find keywords and dominate them:

Gather a list of long-tail keywords with a good number of searches on wordtracker and google.

Analyse the degree of competition in google, by using the “allintitle:yourkeyword”(without hyphens) command in google, and sort your list after the number of competing websites with your keyword in the title.

Register a domain with your main keyword in it. Use .com, .net or .org, as I have found them easiest to rank well.

Install WordPress, tweak it as you like and create a blogpost for each of your keywords with your “weak-competition” keywords in the titles, and write a blogpost like you would have written an article. (With tags etc.)

Optimize your blog for SEO, and ping it at pingler.

Submit each of your blog posts to social media sites with unique titles and content, still keeping the keyword phrase intact in the title.

Submit the RSS feeds for all of the posts to loads of RSS feed aggregators.

Submit articles for the posts that doesn’t make it to the degree of domination you want.

Enjoy your traffic!

P.S. You might want to spread it out to avoid getting sandboxed by Google.

Now, which technique do you use?

Yeah, go network a bit now!

Here comes the second and last part of “How To Network Efficiently On Forums”:

I’ll continue with the bullet list:

“Show them what you got” – Focus on a few skills you’re good at

Whenever you are talking to someone, make sure they know what you are good at, and which services you provide. You might even tell them directly, so they realize they can use you any time. This makes you one of the first persons to consider, when they need what you offer.

Make people know what they might need you for

This is almost the same as the one above. But this goes for using your network as well. So if you tell them you know a great webdesigner, a good article writer etc., they will ask you for help, and you will be able to help them. This is beneficial both to the one they need, and the one needing help, since they get new customers, and might even become friends. – So your network becomesmore “glued up”, meaning your friends are friends with each other as well, which is good for bigger projects.

Tell them why to use you. ( not 100% direct though)

Tell the people you are talking with, why they should use YOU instead of anyone else. It’s imprtant not to be too forward on this one. You could for example say “Well, contrary to other article writers that charge $8 per article, I also do keyword research and I’m an expert at SEO, so my articles always rank high. That is why it takes a bit more time to write articles, and I have a few ones coming up, so I won’t be able to accept any new tasks before Tuesday.” This is an example for an article writer to discretly tell people why they are better than others.

Not really a great example, but I hope you get the point. In this context, it could be when someone asks for a trade of services, like linkbuilding for article writing etc. Note! Keep in mind that you should always be honest to the ones you do this with. Donæt make things up.

Answer as quickly as possible

By answering PM’s and questions quickly, you show people that you are easy to contact, and they are more likely to provide you with tasks of importance to them. This is really important for most Im services, as marketers like to get things done fast and effective. And it’s always good to be accesible, in case they need adjustments at anything fast.

Give people links to websites they might need – Ups your usefullnes and credibility

Kind of self explanatory, but I’ll explain anyways =)

Simply give people links to websites you think they might need. Affiliate links lowers credibility, and regular links builds it.

However, very few people mind it if you give them affiliate links after you have given them great advice, as long as it is affiliate links to products/services you sencerely think they should get. And if you also give them your affiliate link and tell them it’s your affiliate link, along with a direct non-affiliate link, they will click your affiliate link 99% of the time =) I mean, what’s more credible than doing that?!?

Always be honest. – Tricking people into believing that you are and awesome copywriter or graphics designer will quickly show

I can’t stress this enough. Honesty when networking pays you back in tenfolds.

If anyone asks you to write their salesletter, and you have never done it before – Tell them! Just say you have read a bit about it, but never have made one (if it’s true of course), but that you are willing to try. Then they won’t have as high expectations, and anything you do will be better than expected.

Have fate in people. – Paying before you get a service is not smart, getting paid before doing a service is not smart either

By showing that you trust someone, they will trust you back.

So my tip here, is to not pay before you get a service, unless it’s from a famous service provider. – And they usually have 50% now and 50% later.

So paying after you get a service done for you, is what I recommend for smaller businesses, as there are dishonest people out there, as well as bad services.

But getting paid before you have done something for others is not a good idea either, at it puts a lot more pressure on you, as well as you can always protect your work anyways. – Like putting up a “sample” text on graphics in the jpeg etc. before you give it to your customer.

Give people reason to trust you

For example in this blog, I slaughtered “the top secret magic code” which is something very few people do, because it converts so well and they’re greedy. The fact that I’m telling you about how I increase my credibility is another credibility factor as well! – Honesty all the way!

So give people a good reason to trust you, and they will.

Ask good questions, follow the forum rules, and search before you ask. – People might get mad if you don’t.

Simple guidelines to have success in forums.

Never brake the rules, never spam, post in the right section, and search before you ask simple questions.

This is really important, as there are a lot of people who will go mad if you don’t, and you might get banned, or get other disadvantages.

NEVER make enemies – They could easily ruin your reputation or do bad things for you.

To ruin someone’s reputation online isn’t really that hard if you have a reason for it. Especially if you have some authority on a forum.

So whenever you “almost” get into a fight with someone on a forum, stop it. It will do none of you any good. And if they happen to be extremely stubborn, just apologize. That’s “the easy way out”, and you avoid any problems.

Now, I’m not telling you to not tell people about your own opinions, but stop it if it evolves to a fight.

That’s it for networking on forums!

I hope you enjoyed it and learned something!

Hello trusted readers!

Today I want to talk a bit about networking. – Networking on forums to be accurate. ( This post will be split in 2 because of the length, as I personally HATE reading looong blogposts. This is part 1, and part 2 will come really soon)

As most of us understand, networking is essential to achieve great success in internet marketing. It has numerous benefits, as well as it keeps it a little bit more “social”. When you network on forums, you actually speak with fellow internet marketers, and share knowledge and services. – Which is usually a win/win situation.

I thought I’d share some tips on how to do this, since obviously not everyone totally “gets it”. At least that’s what I think after a few bad experiences in different forums, which have almost made me hate a few people. I’m not a hater though, so it doesn’t really matter that much with me, but others might be able, and willing to do BAD things to your reputation – Which is something you must avoid at all costs!

So here’s the list of my tips for networking on forums with greatest effect:

Send PM’s, and lots of it.

This will get you directly in touch with other people, and nobody knows what you are talking about, so you can be a lot more personal, honest and to the point.

And it’s always exciting to see if you have gotten any new PM’s each time you for example log in to the warriorforum, or trafficdrill, which are the 2 I use the most at this time.

Help people

Whenever I can, I try to help people. This does NOT include services that should be paid for, like webdesign, graphics, articles etc. but rather simple tasks they are unable to do on their own.

I personally try to help them to help themselves, but that’s not always the best either. And if I’m unable to help, I’ll tell them how to find someone to help them, or give them contact info to someone I know that can. I usually do “proofreading” of products before they are launched, and provide comments about what I like/don’t like, what I feel is missing etc. and tell them if I get any good idea’s they will benefit from. It’s really simple, useful for people, as well as it gives me free products! Now that’s a win/win already!

Next is that I have someone new in my network, who I can JV with later, or get to do the same for me if I need it. Pretty useful if you ask me =)

Tell people to PM you if they have questions about anything you have written

This goes for most forums. By getting people to send you a Private Message, you will get directly in touch with them, and then you have it going.

Make sure you don’t “finish” your conversation too early by simply sending an “ending” PM. – A PM tham makes it harder to reply. I usually end my early PM’s with a question, so the people I talk with replies.

Then after a little while, we get to know each other a lot better, and find some shared interests etc. And I have a new contact! Simple as that really. And if they don’t reply… Too bad for them! They have lost the gift of having my creativity at their disposial for free. I just move on.

NB! Don’t abuse this technique! People will consider you annoying if you always reply with a question in the ending. You also need to have a medium-length message as well, and have useful content.

Ask people for people to contact if you need help

This is just one of the ways you can use your network. Whenever you need help for something spesific, ask someone you think might know someone good for what you need. You might even get discounts and improved services! – Contact me if you need rebates for a FANTASTIC graphic designer ;o)

Stay polite and helpful

Essential, obvious, yet still worth mentioning. Always be like this, and people will like you, and gladly help you back if you need. It’s also good for NOT getting enemies.

You will get more credibility etc. etc… You get the point.

Here’s another thing about helping other people, which I wanted to add in the end of part 1.

You might not always get something back. Trust me, you won’t. There are also quite a few people you help, whowon’t be that grateful. But remember that

1. – You get a good feeling from helping people anyways.

2. – Whenever you’re helping people, you will start to feel better and better, and eventually consider yourself an expert.

3. - They might not have much to offer right now, but in time, they can become great internet marketers. And great internet marketers definately remember who got them going in the first place, and will definately help you if you need it.

That’s all for today folks!

Next part will be here in a couple of days!

- Preben

Even though most of us are internet marketers, we don’t necessarily need to make the big bucks online. – Internet Marketing is just something we’re good at.

Many internet marketers these days, have never considered the option to make big bucks doing internet marketing for offline companies.

I personally believe that this is a really untapped niche, as there are not many people doing this, and you don’t really need to be that good either.

If you have been into internet marketing for a few months, I believe you should easily be able to do this. And imagine… People set up opt-in for offline businesses for at least a few houndred dollars. – Then they charge their customers monthly, for upkeeping their lists, as well as they provide other services too – Which are extremely “expensive” as well.

However, people who wants to do this usually encounter a few problems…

1. They think they charge WAY TOO MUCH for such a simple task. – They are unable to justify their prices to themselves.

- This is in fact weird, considering they are really doing the business owners a favor, and helping them make more money. Charging $500-1000 for implementing and customizing an opt-in is totally normal. Then you can charge them $100-1000 for the upkeep and maintenance+costs. And there are many ways to get even more money out of them – Just take a look a little further down this page

2. They are unable to explain the benefits well enough, so business owners refuse.

- This is simply because they aren’t all good salesmen in real life, and they might not have planned out the situation good enough, or they don’t understand it themselves. I have made a quite extensive post about how to achieve more success with this, which I will post below.

3. They are insecure, or not confident enough to go trough with it.

- This depends on their skills as offline sellers, and their confidence in internet marketing. Personally I have been working with internet marketing, as well as offline sales for roughly 2 years, and I love selling – So I have a lot of experience in both.

This post was inspired by a fantastic post in the warriorforum, which I strongly advice you to take a look at. Here: Stupidly simple cash cow (Note! The original thread is REMOVED due to hardcore bandwidth use! The link now goes to David Preston’s blog on the Warriorforum)

Here are some salestips from me: ( Find the entire page here: Stupidly simple cash cow p.13 – Removed. This blogpost is basically my comment.)

Tips for selling internet marketing consultant services offline: (as well as other products)
Just do it.
- You will get turned down a lot in the beginning, and it doesn’t feel good.

I have been a seller for a few years, and I KNOW this.
- So here are some tips from me:

1. It’s all about control. – This is hard, but essential. You must take control.

For example the handshake. If he doesn’t want to shake your hand, make him.

It’s almost IMPOSSIBLE not to, if someone reaches out their hand to you.
- If they take some time to do this, it leaves you with all control. They “lost”
the first “battle” to you, and shook your hand.

Other things like this, can for example be to ask them to sit down.
“Why don’t we sit down here a bit while we talk?” and then you grab a chair.
- They will respond, and sit down, which is again better, since it helps both of you relax.

In other words, Be authorative.

2. Ask questions that builds up to a purchase.
In this example: “Have you seen good results with your marketing efforts online?”

Yes. – Great! Then you know these things work!
No. – Then I’ll show you how to get results. ( And explain the benfits of having a list)

Always have a plan on what to answer when you ask questions like that. – Then it will come
naturally after a while.

3. NEVER ask them to email you. – YOU will contact them.

And again about the questions… Don’t say ” When shall I contact you?”
Instead: “Is Wednesday or thursday best for you?”

Most will choose, but in case they don’t.
Ask the same, but next week. “I’m really busy this week” – “Okay, then let’s say monday in
2 weeks. Okay?” (This goes under keeping control really. It’s based on the same concept)

4. Imagine how the potential customer thinks.
Words like “Facebook” and “Pop-up” might seem bad to them.
Explain it so they understand – And don’t trigger bad emotions.

5. “What’s in it for me?”

Explain every single benefit they will get from you in great detail.
- Make sure they understand every one of them, and focus on the good words.

Example: (highlighted words are the ones you say with extra passion etc.)

Him/Her: So what will this do for me?
You: You might not have thought about this, but A LOT of visitors who leaves your
website will never come back. – Your advertising dollars are thrown out of the window.
But with this you can actually CONTACT YOUR PROSPECTS AT ANY TIME!
- This will give you a better return on your advertising investments, as well as you are more
likely to get sales from the customers you have already.

And there are maaany other ways to take advantage of a mailing list…
For example, you have the possibility to get almost instant feedback, as well as market research. – All for free!

I will of course help you with this (nod)

6. Listen.

Even if you have the greatest sales pitch in history, make sure you listen to the client, and
his/her needs. – This will help you to build up the purchase even more.

Listening to the customer is essential – And if they ask questions, this means they are most likely interested to some extent. If they are asking questions it’s great! – Don’t underestimate the power of this,as it is definately one of your keys to success.

Now go try it out!

Good luck!

*Update: Free RSS submission software at the bottom of this post!*

Submitting RSS feeds to rss feed aggregators is a great way

to easily increase your backlinks, as well as they rank high

in the search engines.

Many of them don’t even require you to sign up to submit a feed, so

it’s a really quick method of getting backlinks.

For example this blog.

I have submitted it to feedage.com, and have gotten it rated as

class “A”. – This means that it’s a verified, and good feed.

It’s the maximum rank to get for an RSS feed by feedage.com.

- This also makes it count more in the eyes of the search engines.

But enough about that. I must admit I am no RSS expert yet, and I’m sure

I still have plenty to learn about it, so I won’t post any “idea’s” I might

have about this just yet.

Here is a list of rss feed aggregators:

feedage.com

feedster.com

feedfury.com

goldenfeed.com

blogdigger.com

feedest.com

rssmountain.com

rssmicro.com

rssmotron.com

technorati.com

icerocket.com

octora.com

feedagg.com

azfeeds.com

rss2.com (*New* – I’ve seen good rankings from this one in Google. *Registration required*)

After a bit of searching online, I found this FREE RSS submission software. (No, it’s not a trial or anyting. It’s actually free, with no opt-in required!)

Enjoy! Free RSS Submission software

*I haven’t tried it much yet, but it looks really good. Especially for being free!

There are many ways to dominate the search engines these days, as well as many different software and programs to do this using web 2.0 sites.

In this post, I just want to post a few really important tips you should know, before choosing your way of using web 2.0.

My number *1* tip here is this:

Make every social bookmarking submission at least 30% different from the rest!

I hope you got that. It’s really the best tip if you want to have several social bookmarks on the first pages of google and others. Not neccesarily worth it if you have a post that’s going to get bookmarked by many others, or dugg or anything similar, but this is for search engines.

The reason? – Search engine dupe filters.

They will not show duplicate content in searches, as well as backlinks will not count.

So remember this when choosing a social submitter.

This is also why article submitters doesn’t work. – Unless they have a spinner implemented, that allows you to check the uniqueness of the article.

The same rule applies to all content online. So if you’re submitting articles, social bookmarks, video’s etc. Make sure you vary the description.

Here we also have a great advantage of submitting your RSS feed to rss feed sites. – Simply because they usually don’t have a description.

Make sure you optimize for a keyword though, even if you’re spinning you should have your long-tail keyword optimized, by NOT spinning it.

If you’re submitting manually to social bookmarking sites, I would recommend starting with digg.com, as they are quite strict on duplicate content.

Then I’d say propeller and furl. Digg is most important though, as the others usually rank high as well.

For doing all of this spins and submissions, I’d recommend using SeNuke, as stated earlier.

Results are coming now, although not a big rise in traffic, but that’s because of the ever-competetive internet marketing niche.

I’ll post real results when I try it in another niche, so keep in touch!

- Preben

P.S. A list of rss feed submission sites, as well as social bookmarking sites are coming up soon!

I just thought I’d post this, since people these days have so many opinions about everything. There are also a lot of newbies who haven’t gotten their own websites yet.

Here is a few tips:

- Register your domain as early as possible. This is because the older the domain is, the better it will rank in google, and you will get the possibility to increase crawl rate from your google analytics panel.

This will also keep you from going to the google sandbox for getting too many inbound links, too fast.

Other than that, having your own domain ready is a lot more motivating, as well as it helps you focus on one thing/idea.

In my opinion, the best name registrar is namecheap.com . You will then have the ability to easily transfer your domain to your hosting account.

As for hosting, I would recommend hostgator

Hostgator has been around for a looong time, and have some of the best uptimes on the market.

Their support is excellent, and they have fantastico, so you can install wordpress with a few clicks, as well as many other kinds of scripts.

This is the exact same way I do it. – I first buy a domain at namecheap, then transfer it to hostgator.

I would also recommend buying an expired domain if you find a good one you like. You can find them at http://www.olddomains.net/ and http://www.freshdrop.net/.

When you have your website up and running, get it indexed by pinging it at pingler.com

This should get your website indexed within 24 hours – usually in a few hours though.

You can do this everytime you add more content to your website to get it indexed immidiately.

You should also post it at digg.com as well, which will get the digg post ranking high in the search engines for your chosen keyword. If you optimize for it that is.

Then you should register your domain in your google webmaster account, and submit a sitemap.
A sitemap can easily be created at: xml-sitemaps.com, or you can use the wordpress sitemap plugin.
You should do this to make sure all webpages on your site gets indexed. You will also be able to see many different statistics, and choose several options that might come in handy. For example which rate you want google’s spiders to visit your site.

For static sites with little interactivity, you should set it low to reduce your bandwith usage. And for blogs, social sites, forums and other interactive sites, you might want to put it higher to make sure new content gets indexed fast and give your more visitors from google.

Now you are set to register your website! – So do it NOW!

This is the exact methods I use when I first register a domain and publish it. Simple as that really =)
