More news from the studio!

The last few weeks were super busy! I went from about 30 potential songs, to the complete track listing for the new album! Ideas were flowing like never before.

At the moment, I'm making sure each song has a solid structure/arrangement to it... and it's going really good.

In big news, I set a release date for the album. Even better yet, it's going to be this year!

It's too early to get into details... so the best I can say is... stay tuned! (i love suspense!)

Music and Studio Upgrades!

Hello fans! Just wanted to give a quick update.

As some of you know... this year both of my studio computers died. Kinda a tragic thing when you're writing an album! But anyway, I'm getting a custom built pc for the recording studio! I'm really looking forward to having something that is a legit studio pc! Plus, I won't have to use two computers anymore... that was a mess anyway!

Also got plans to update my audio interface and then we're going to triple monitors!

In related news, "Band Practice" is a regular activity... might see some shows in the new year. Also, the album is coming along really good. It's going to be a good blend of news songs and revised classics. That's all I can say so far!

Getting Organized

This past week I was focused on getting organized. This needed to happen because our stuff was all over the place! Plus, Studio "A", was starting to look like a used furniture store!

Anyway, things are getting cleaned up & back to order.

A major highlight was that I got my drum-set back together and polished! And I gotta say, for being away for a year... I'm not too bad!

The rest of the studio is coming along... I'm hoping to record down there again... soon! All I need is a new computer & audio interface! I used to use 2 computers to record 10 tracks of audio, now, thanks to modern technology and about 2,000 of them US dollars, I can record with one computer... and do it better!

Speaking of modern tech... I can't live without my Windows 7 Phone! It's even better at keeping me on task than Victoria! Which is some pretty amazing stuff!

So anyway, the cleanup continues...

Web Design

The last few weeks consisted of non-stop website design for me. Well, at least it felt like it!

But, everything paid off, because now every site I own was updated!

I love designing sites, but I'm excited to get back to the projects themselves!

I've been drawing a lot with a new tablet setup, and you might even notice I started brushing up on Photoshop as well!

And finally, in great news, I can now practice in my recording studio again! Somewhat. It's a long story, but we had some mold issues with the furniture occupying it. Needless to say, finding space for our extra furniture isn't a problem anymore!

It's been crazy!

However, it's all getting better... and I promise... my wife and I are working on some really sweet projects!
