Summary: My Bloody Valentine 3-D is another one of the horror remakes but with new spins on it. It re-creates the old 80's style of storytelling and adds modern day 3-D technology. The film centers on a small peaceful town that is shaken to its core when a mentally unstable miner, Harry Warden (Richard John Walters), brutally murders twenty-two people with his pick axe. The heir of the mines, Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles), was almost succumbed to the same fate that the twenty-two others were. Fortunately he was rescued by the town's Sheriffs and given another chance at life. Ten years later, Tom returns back to the town to sell the mine. With the arrival of Tom, comes the arrival of a new killer in the small town that is twisted copy cat of Harry Warden. It is then up to Tom's old friend and the new town Sherriff, Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) and his wife/Tom's old girl friend, Sarah Palmer (Jaime King) to find out who the new killer is and prevent them finishing what Warden first started.

Summary: Orphaned siblings Andi (Emma Roberts) and Bruce (Jake T. Austin), who have been forced to hide their ownership of their beloved dog, Friday, as they move from one foster home to another, secretly turn a closed hotel into a home for Friday and any other strays they can find. They are joined by a guy named Dave (Johnny Simmons) and a girl named Heather (Kyla Pratt) both of whom work at a pet store and Dave and Andi have crushes on each other. They are later joined by a kid who lives nearby named Mark (Troy Gentile), who likes Heather, although she does not return the feelings. Andi and Bruce are given a chance to move from the foster home they hate to a new one that is a few hours away. They decline as they care too much about the dogs to abandon them.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Summary: On the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, elderly Daisy Williams nee Fuller is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. At her side is her adult daughter, Caroline. Daisy asks Caroline to read to her aloud the diary of Daisy's lifelong friend, Benjamin Button. Benjamin's diary recounts his entire extraordinary life, the primary unusual aspect of which was his aging backwards, being born an old man who was diagnosed with several aged diseases at birth and thus given little chance of survival, but who does survive and gets younger with time. Abandoned by his biological father, Thomas Button, after Benjamin's biological mother died in childbirth, Benjamin was raised by Queenie, a black woman and caregiver at a seniors home. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. Some of the revelations in Benjamin's diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.
