From now onwards, I shall do the posting on the blog as frequent as possible.
Updates and Notices will be posted here frequently so please make sure that you visit this blog few times a week.

XJ is lazy to do the posting so I shall do it.
No la, I should say I assist him in the updating of this blog.

Anyway, the tentative date for the Year End iMedia Camp is from
16th to 18th of November

We will update this blog if there is a change in date(most probably not) or further information about the camp.

IF we don't inform you, there will meeting at 2.30pm on Friday.
Which means that we will only inform you if there is no meeting on Friday that week.
So please make sure you attend the meetings on Fridays, attendance will be taken for every meeting.

LASTLY, I shall say again that PLEASE visit this BLOG frequently from now onwards. Best is to put this blog in your RSS feeds, it will automatically update your feeds when there is a new post.

SDMA 2010

Hi Guys... Since its going to be the end of the break just before your final lap of the year, it also sounds the bells for us to get crackin with work.

Without 1 MA let's make it up with another MA. SDMA (Schools Digital Media Awards) is part of te competitions we take part in every year, however, we didn;t take part last year due to time constraint.

The closing date for SDMA 2010 is 23 Nov 09 so do check out the themes and let me or JZ know ASAP if you have any ideas or want to be part of it. I strongly encourage you guys to take part, as this would be better than any training we can give you, because these are all hands on experiences and you would definitely learn and benefit more.

Hi Guys, There's no training for Both Crews on Monday.

The training for Audio Crew is on Tuesday And Friday At 1.30- 5.30.

The training for Video Crew is on Tuesday as well from 1.30- 5.30. Tentatively, Video Crew training is on Thursday ALSO. TIME TO BE CONFIRMED LATER.

If you need to leave early or can only come slightly later please inform me, but at least come for the first part of the training.

An effort is made to prepare the training, so please make sure you come down for the training.

Hi Guys! I'll be updating the blog on a regular basis now. Usually On Wednesday Saturday and Monday nights. So please check the blog for updates.

THERE'S A MEETING THIS FRIDAY AT 2.30 IN THE STUDIO.

This post is briefly about what we discussed that morning during the meeting a few days ago. Below you can find the new contact tree, the most updated duty list, and the things to note for morning assembly which would be up in the GO as well as on the BOX for the plaza system.

Basically, the purpose of the meeting were just elaboration on the information below, so if you do need any clarification, please approach any of the EXCOs.

CHANGE IN PLANS

By now, all of you guys should have got our smses.
We have decided to change our plans, and called off the overnight camp, reason being that there is also a review for chma finalists on friday. Hence we do not want to overtire you guys, and want you guys to go home and have a good rest.
However, there will be full day training for BOTH thursday and friday.
Please be at the studio by 1030am.
The full day training will end by 730pm on both days.

CHMA PREPARATION CAMP!

To all imedia members, there will be camp on 11/6 to 12/6.
Attendance for camp is compulsory.
Reporting time at 11am at studio.
It will be an overnight camp.
What we are going to do is to split you guys into your various crews for CHMA, and start/do preparation for the night itself.
Its more of a "work" camp then a "play" camp.
I do not think we need to post a packing list for you guys.
Just bring enough clothes and neccessities required. You guys will be sleeping at the studio again. Its air-conditioned, so please bring your long-sleeved clothes/sweaters etc.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE :
FOOD WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. BRING YOUR OWN MONEY. WE WILL BRING YOU GUYS OUT FOR MEALS.
NO BRINGING OF ANY ELECTRONIC HAND-HELD GAMES(EG PSP,GAMEBOY) OR LAPTOPS. - WE WILL CONFISCATE IF WE SEE ANY.
IF YOU ARE SICK, TELL US AND YOU WILL BE EXEMPTED FROM THE CAMP. (OF COURSE YOU MUST PRODUCE A MC.)
BEFORE YOU COME FOR THE CAMP, PLEASE MEASURE YOUR TEMPERATURE. IF YOU ARE HAVING A FEVER, DO NOT COME.

I hope all of you will come for the camp, as this are like the only 2 days we are calling you guys(applies to almost everyone) back for iMedia during the month-long holidays.

Singapore Youth and Media Camp 2009

Hi all,
We are encouraging all iMedia Sec 1 , 2 and 3 members to attend the Singapore Youth and Media Camp 2009 @ Ngee Ann Polytechnic from the 15th to the 17th of June.
It is NOT an overnight camp. The camp will start at 10 am and end at 5pm daily.
Transport is NOT provided, however i would advise and encourage all of you guys to meet up before going together.
Lunch will be provided everyday.
The camp fee is $80 per participant. However, if we send in our members in groups of 10, we have a special discount rate of $5 off for each of the student in the group.
There will be seminars and workshops throughout the camp.
They are mainly, "Violence in the media (seminar)", "Advertising messages(seminar)", "Sports and Media(seminar)", "Presentation Skills(seminar)", " Radio Workshop" and "Filming Workshop".
This registration forms MUST be faxed to the organising company by THIS FRIDAY, 8TH OF MAY.
PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED FIND ME PERSONALLY AT CLASS 4-8(4TH LEVEL) IN BETWEEN LESSONS,BEFORE SCHOOL OR AFTER SCHOOL. I WILL PASS YOU THE WHOLE CAMP BOOKLET CONTAINING MUCH MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CAMP AND ALSO THE REGISTRATION FORM.
REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE PASSED TO ME LATEST BY THURSDAY.

WE ARE NOT FORCING ANYONE TO GO, BUT WE JUST STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO GO. $80 SEEMS ALOT, BUT $80 DIVIDED BY 6 WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS MAKES UP ONLY ABOUT $13.30(i guess?) FOR EACH WORKSHOP/SEMINAR.

Just wear school attire first, as im not sure if the guard would let you in if you are wearing homeclothes. Once you reach the studio, you can change into your homeclothes if u want.

Basic Rules to follow
· Line your shoes neatly at the entrance of the tracking room before going in.
· If you need to go to the toilet( or wherever ), as long as you are leaving the group, notify any EXCOS around.
· At night, if others are sleeping, please by considerate, e.g NO blasting of music
· On the evening of the first day, where we will be letting you guys go free and easy at J8 (eat dinner, walk about, (if you are going to the arcade, don’t wear any clothes that people can identify you as a cat high student.). Please be PUNCTUAL and reach the meeting spot ( will be decided on the day itself ) on time. Do not leave J8 and go back to school or whatsoever. DO NOT GO TO THE CINEMA AND CATCH A MOVIE.
· If you need to go to the toilet at night, please wake another person up to accompany you. ( If you get stuck on the toilet bowl, no one will be able to hear you shouting for help and come to your rescue.)
· Last but not least. INFORM ANY EXCO IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL AT ANY POINT OF TIME AT THE CAMP. THE SAME THING APPLIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. JUST WAKE ANY OF US UP( if we are sleeping )
Things to note.
We WILL be sleeping at the iMedia Studio.
The aircon will BE ON. So please bring long-sleeved clothes/pants or sweaters.
You will NOT be able to find any other camp more FUN than our iMedia Camp.
You are allowed to bring PSPs/MP3s/iPods/Handphones and whatsoever electronic device. Just don’t play at the wrong time( e.g during training/ice-breakers )
On Monday, please come before eating lunch.
Bring money to pay for your dinner on Monday, and $5 to pay for the camp. I understand that Mr Chris Teng told you guys that no money is needed to be paid for the camp, however, we decided to add in the water bomb segment, and to allow you guys to wake up later on Tuesday(= have more sleep), We WILL be buying breakfast for you guys.
So, please bring around $20 for the camp.
Meeting time is 2p.m at the iMedia Studio.
If you have some activities on, e.g for example NCC workshop? ( some people have notified me of them being down for some workshop) Come AFTER your activity.

THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE POST. PLEASE SMS ME ASAP TO NOTIFY ME IF YOU WILL BE COMING FOR THE CAMP, OR WILL BE COMING LATE DUE TO SOME ACTIVITY. AND BRING YOUR CONSENT FORM ALONG ON MONDAY WHEN YOU COME.
Also, please take note that there is little/no reception in the imedia studio, so please tell your parents not to worry if they cant get through to your handphone.

Revival of blog + New Duty List.

Hi all,

The EXCO will start using the blog to post about the latest news, activities and CIP available for you guys.

A new system will be introduced where you will have to SMS me for the CIP that you are interested to help out for.

Last but not least, this is the new morning assembly duty list.

As you can see, there are two duty list. One if for odd weeks, one is for even weeks.

The sec 1's have been split up into two groups, one group only comes on even weeks, the other group comes on odd weeks. The sec 2's will be required to come for morning duty every week.

Please take note on which week and day are you required to come for duty.

Basic rules to take note.

1) If its not your duty day, do NOT go to the General Office or the control center for the plaza outside the hall control room. There are already ENOUGH people on duty.

2) Reporting time for morning assembly duty is 7.15am at the General Office.

->If you leave far away from school, and you have difficulties reaching school at 7.15am, you are allowed to report for duty by 7.30am.

->Please inform your duty IC's ( the sec 3's on duty for your day) at least one day in advance if you cannot make it for morning duty assembly.
->In the event that you will be late for duty( e.g oversleep or so) PLEASE be RESPONSIBLE and inform your duty IC straight away.

As you all should know by now, the annual iMedia Chalet is this coming wednesday 17th of december.
The chalet we will be staying at is Aloha Loyang Resort at Pasir Ris.

We are holding a photo-taking session and meeting this friday, 12/9/08 @ 3pm.
The venue for the photo-taking is at the General Office( as of now ). However, if your class ends earlier, as usual, you can just go and wait at the studio first.
Please bring along your iMedia Shirt ( black CHMA one ) .

Here is a list of things that you are required to bring for the Camp, which is held from the 3rd to 5th of September:

1. 3 Sets of Clothing (T-Shirts, Pants, Underwear)
2. Long Pants/Sweaters (It may be cold at night, so bring one if you think you need it)
3. Personal Medication
4. Sleeping Bag
5. Writing Materials (Pens, Correction Tapes, Pencils, Paper, etc.)
6. Camp Fee: $15
7. Personal Belongings (Money: $30 should be enough, Mobile Phones, Water Bottles)
8. EZ Link Card (Important!)
9. Umbrella/Poncho
10. Torchlight (with spare batteries)
11. Toiletries (Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Towels, Toilet Paper)
12. iMedia T-Shirt
13. SIGNED Consent form
14. Day Bag ( Optional )

NOTE: If you want to bring your personal belongings, such as Mobile Phones, PSPs, Nintendo DSs, GameBoys, etc, you will have to take care of them as we will not be held liable for your loss of belongings.

Please wear your school PE T-shirt when you come to school.

Also, this list is just a guide of what to bring. If you think you need to bring any extra things, just take good care of them.
