お久しぶりです！でも新作を作っていたと言う訳ではなく・・・。今月は何もアップしていなかったので月が変わる前にと思いまして、今回は綿のツイードジャケットです。実はこれ、去年の春に作ったものです。なぜ今頃？というのは、下に履くスカートを作ろうと思っている内にとうとう着る時期を逃してしまったのです。忘れかけてたジャケットですが、去年の夏に作った白のバルーンスカートと合わせて今ようやく着られるようになりました。フリンジはバイアスの生地を縫い付けてほどいています。先日ジャケット用に買ったエレガンスのリボンツイードも白と紺なので紺色のスカートも作ろうと思います。そのうちに。

Hi hi there! It's been a while since my last post. In the meantime I haven't sewn any garments for myself. But here is a forgotten cotton tweed jacket I made last spring. Why now? I was gonna make a skirt so that I could put it on with the jacket but I could't make it. After all, I missed the chance to wear it. Now I have a white bubble skirt I made last summer and it just perfectly goes with the jacket! I used bias cut strips out of fabric for the fringe trim.
Speaking of tweed, the other day I bought Elegance ribbon tweed to make a jacket. It's quite expensive but super pretty. How could I resist? This one is also white x navy so I'm gonna have to make a navy skirt for these jackets.

ところで最近思う事があります。それはブログが何となくマンネリ気味な事。気分転換に何かしようと考えたのは、テンプレートを変える、ブログを引っ越す、何かに挑戦する、などなど。よく見かける型紙プレゼントもアリだけど、市販の型紙なんて持ってないし・・・。なら型紙を作ってあげるプレゼントなんてどうなんだろう。色々考えてると問題も出てきたりで思い切れない。結果何も決まらず今はこのままずるずる行く感じです。何かモヤモヤする・・・。

Ruffle Skirt Dress

季節も変わりポカポカ陽気が続く今日この頃、私の春一番はラッフルスカートのワンピースです。生地はシルクの様な肌触りで少し光沢のある化繊の上質ポンチニット。仮縫いはしたもののフリル6段は多すぎたかもと気にしてたけど仕上がりは上々です！ギャザーの分量もいい感じ。考えたら一着なのに6着分の裾上げしたことになるんだ！袖山の縫い代は一般的に外側に向けるのですが今回は内側に入れてみました。袖山のギャザーが盛り上がらないので甘さ控えめな感じです。肩がスッキリしてカーディガンも着易くなるから秋冬も着られそうです。

It's getting warmer and warmer day by day. Seems like winter is over and spring has come! I kinda like the moment spring or autumn is coming. Fabric stores start to expose more summer stuff and display fresh new stuff. I see lots of bright colors and prints and that makes me realize I'm bored with woolly bulky winter fabric. Haven't you felt like that? Anyway for the lovely spring days, I made the six-tiered skirt dress with ponte knit (poly, rayon and so on). So I ended up hemming six times! Ha!

一枚仕立てのコート　/ Double Face Coat

一枚仕立てのコートが完成しました！前々回の記事を読んだ人はご存知かもしれないですが、生地はカシミアブレンドウール（接結）、縫い代の始末は全て手まつりです。なので切り替えの少ないボックスタイプのコートにしました。ワイドなショールカラー、サイドに箱ポケット、着やすさと着心地を良くするために袖裏と肩裏が付いています。一枚仕立てにしたセットインスリーブの袖付けがあまり好きではないのでいつもと同じ袖付けにしました。余った生地でヨーク切り替えの巻きスカートも出来ちゃいました。もちろんこれも一枚仕立て。コートと一緒に着るとシックだよね。とにかくこの仕立ては肩は凝るわ時間は掛かるわで暫くは作りたくないですね。ダブルフェイスはまだ二つ手元にあるのでこれは来年の冬までおあずけです。コートもいいけどジャケットやワンピースもいいかもね。

I think you can imagine how much sewing this coat was tiring if you read my former post about how to finish seams and I always had bad stiff shoulders while I was working on it... The material is wool 70%, cashmere 30%, double-faced fabric. The coat is half-lined so it's easier to put on/off. I also made a yoke seamed wrap skirt with the left-over. This is self-drafted one-piece type of shawl collared pattern, which means the collar is set in the front bodice. The neckline looked fine when basting and fitting on but I should have added a dart at the SNP. Then the neckline would look more natural with gentle curve. Anyway I'm now free from the physical stress and don't want to make any double face garments anytime soon. But next winter, I will probably make something else because I have bought two more double faced fabrics.

イスタンブールの休日　/ A Little Break In Istanbul

トルコに行って来ました！イスタンブール4泊のフリーです。イスタンブール旧市街の歴史地区は言わずと知れた観光地。トプカプ宮殿、ブルーモスク、アヤソフィアの壮大さと美しさは圧倒的。ですがそんなイスタンのアイコンではなく「ちょっとカワイイ」やスキンケアグッズの紹介、そして少々残念な思い出話をしたいと思います。

My friend and I got out of Japan and took a short trip to Istanbul. We had three days and a half to spend there. Needless to say, the icons of Istanbul such as Topkapi Palece, Blue Mosque or Ayasofya, they are all amazing. Apart from the super famouse icons, I'd like to show you a little bit pretty places or stuff, and Turkish skin care goods. It was short time but we had a fantastic and exciting time over there including a rip-off we got at a kabab cafe:P

可愛いと言えばやっぱりタイル。こうして見ると色や模様が本当に綺麗。もっと色んなタイル撮って来るんだったな～。近くで見るよりモスクの壁や柱にびっしりと敷き詰められたタイルを遠目に眺めると一層綺麗です。

入ると白い印象。漆喰に細かく描かれたブルーの控えめな装飾。

新市街のイスティクラル通りを散策していて見つけたカトリック教会。水色で塗られたゴシック様式の天井が可愛らしい。建物はレンガ造りだそう。そう言えば赤かったです。

Edirnekapi駅近くにあるシィナンが設計したジャーミ。スレイマン1世の愛娘ミフリマのために建てたそう。入った瞬間、きゃぁ素敵！大理石の割合が他のジャーミよりも多い気が。ステンドグラスの可愛らしさにうっとりです。

新市街にある全長たったの573mを走るケーブルカー。ヨーロッパで最も古い地下鉄の一つだそう。レトロな車両が可愛らしい。

国鉄のターミナル駅。サーモンピンクの建物を入ると何となくレトロな感じ。

新市街のタクシム広場から南に走る通り。レトロな路面電車が走る風景が様になります。

街歩きをしていると犬や猫をよく見かけます。特に猫は沢山います。その中でも思わず「プッ」と笑ってしまう、だらしなさがたまらないワンニャンショット。

私はローズの香りがそれほど好きではないのですが、このROSENSE（ローゼンス）のローズはごくいい香りがします。トルコブランドROSENSE、日本で調べてみるとネットで販売しているサイトもある様です。何だかローションが良さそうな。私が購入したROSENSEは、ハンドクリーム、リップ、アイクリーム、ナイトクリーム。違うメーカーですがオリーブオイル配合スキンケアクリーム。いっぱい買うからオマケして！と頼んだら快くまけてくれました。お店はエジプシャンバザールの近く、袋に書かれた「Istanbuli」というショップです。トルコ行く人、私にローション買ってきて！

HomeSpaというお店で買ったナチュラルソープ。いくつか行ったお店のなかでもここが一番香りの良い、というか好きな香りのソープが置いてあるお店でした。写真左上はGoat milk(ヤギのミルク）の石鹸で、これがたまらなく良い香り！ヤギっぽさはありません。甘い感じではなくスッキリした清々しい香りというか、表現できないので行ったら買ってみてください。オーナーはアメリカ人女性で彼女もこれが大好きだとか。

最後にちょっと残念なお話。最終日のランチ、ぼったくられました。確かBeyazit駅北側の歩道沿いでケバブを売るカフェの一つ。メニューにケバブの値段のってなかったんですよね～。実際の倍くらいの金額を支払ったかと思います。そりゃ値段を聞かなかった自分達のせいだけど、奴らほんと腹立つわ！トルコへ行く人、値段の確認はお忘れなく。

一枚仕立て　/ Working with Double Faced Fabric

先日買ったカシミア（30%）混ウールの接結ダブルフェイス。ただ今オーバーコートを作っています。そうです、一枚仕立てです！ベージュとチャコールグレー、どっちの色も好きだけどベージュを表に決めました。一枚仕立ては名前のごとく一枚に見える仕立て方。生地を二枚に剥がす作業は避けて通れません。これが本当に大変で指も爪もくたくたになります。そして縫い代の始末は全て手まつりという気の長～くなる作業。まだ製作途中ですが、今日は一枚仕立ての苦労、ではなく、私の縫い方を簡単に紹介したいと思います。一枚仕立ての洋服が高価なのも少しは納得出来るのではないでしょうか。

This is the cashmere blend wool fabric I bought the other day. It's double-faced as you can see the photo. I've chosen the beige side to be main and am working on a double-faced overcoat right now. I'm going to show you how to sew a seam to make the garment double faced. This is a quite tiring work but I'm excited and enjoy making because I feel satisfy when I see the finish work. Anyway double faced garments are so expensive but you will see that makes sense.

■ 接結糸 - Binder thread

生地を剥がすともしゃもしゃ見えるのが接結糸。切り替え線や端など縫う所は生地を剥がしていきます。青の矢印は接結糸が走っている方向ですがこの方向を剥がす時は糸を抜き、逆方向の時は糸を切っていきます。最初は全て切っていましたが抜く方が楽で早いことに気づきました。実際、縫い線はカーブになってたりする所もあるので両方を駆使しての作業なんですけどね。（画像をクリックすると拡大します）

Double faced fabric consists of two layers of cloth and the binder threads are holding them together. So you can open it by cutting the thread and the edges need to be opened when machine-stitching. The blue arrow shows the direction that the thread runs through. When you want to open the edge to this direction, pull out the thread. I found out this was faster. Cut the thread when opening to the other direction. (Click on images to enlarge)

■ 縫い方 - How to sew

縫い代1cm位で裁断します。
5mm内側にミシンをかけます。（後で抜き取るのでミシン目は大きく）
接結糸を切ってミシンの位置までしっかり剥がします。（片側のみ）
出来上がりから4mmに縫い代をに切り揃えます。
中表にし、剥がした一枚を省き縫い代を揃えてピンで留めます。
出来上がり線を縫います。
縫い終わった状態。
縫い代を片倒しにし、縫わずに省いていた方を手でまつっていきます。
まつり終わった状態。
最初にかけたミシンの糸を抜き取ってをって出来上がり。

Seam allowance is about 1cm at this moment.
Machine-stitch. (Adjust stitch pitch in 4 to 5mm. The thread is taken out later)
Open the edge. (One side only)
Cut off the extra seam allowance.
Pin both side together. (Face to face)
Machine-stitch the seamline.
Just done 6.
Overlap the seam allowance and blind stitch.
Just done 8.
Take the machine thread out and then finished!

リボンニットでバルーンスカート　/ Ribbon-Knit Bubble Skirt

ご無沙汰しております。今年もこのブログは相変わらずスローな感じでやっていきますがどうぞ宜しくお願いします！さて、今年最初はバルーンスカートです。不織布のリボンヤーンが編み込まれたウール混のラメ入りニットです。リボンツイードはよく見かけたりもしますがリボンが入ってると見た目も豪華ですよね。今回は以前作ったバルーンスカートを少し変更して、タックは前後に4本（前回は6本）づつ、裏地は裾から4cm（前回は10cm）の所で縫い付けました。安い生地ではなので無駄を省きたかったからなんだけど結果的に今回の方がスッキリして気に入ってます。また時間がある時にこの製図も追加出来ればと思います。

Hello there! My very first work of this year is the bubble skirt. I think ribbon tweed fabric is well known but this is wool blended knit fabric with non-woven ribbon yarn and glitter yarn as you can see the photo above. These fabrics really look gorgeous because of the ribbon so I think the ribbon yarn could be used somehow as a braid trim. It was kind of expensive so I modified my previous bubble skirt to save some more fabric for an another plan. This time, the skirt has 4 tucks each in front and back, the bottom line of the underlining is 4cm above from hemline. More importantly I had to add 2cm at waist! I'm neither pregnant nor ill. So you know why. I need to keep this size at least for my waist-belted-skirts, otherwise I will be in trouble!

Flared Knit Dress

久しぶりのワンピースです！こちらウールニットです。白い衿とカフスは小さく控えめに。素材やデザインにもよると思いますが、私はワンピースに長袖というのがあまり好きではないので袖は七分丈です。フレアスカートの裾にホースヘアブレードというメッシュ状の芯を縫い付けてみました。張り・ボリュームが出るのでフルスカート好きな私は病みつきになってしまいそう。ギャザースカートなんかにも試してみたいと思います。

Have you ever heard of horsehair braid? It's not horse's hair but must have something to do with it. Horsehair braid is used to give a crisp and stable finish to the hemline. It makes skirt width look wider as well. I used it for the first time and am satisfied with the finish pretty much. You may not see well because this wool knit is kinda heavy. As a full-skirt-lover, horsehair braid is gonna be my obsession!

A Little Wedding Gift

結婚のお祝いにちょっとした物を贈るとしたら何にする？これって結構悩むんだけど、私は手作りのエプロンにしようかなぁ～、って何気に考えて生地を見てたら新妻にぴったりの生地を発見、即エプロンに決定。やっぱ新婚ならフリフリにしないとね。ランチョンマットもお揃いです。やっと出来たと思ったら母にせがまれもう一枚・・・。

What wedding gift would you prepare for your female friend? Are there general wedding gifts in your country? How about cash? It would be most wellcome and is a practice here. But don't you think that's too boring? What about an apron then? My friend is going to be a weekends wife. Yes, only weekends! I think she can look more like a wife, wife with the apron.

今年のレディースブック夏号に可愛らしいブラウスを見つけました。少しアレンジして白をベースにリバティーとの組み合わせです。折込みの型紙をそのまま使ったのですが少し残念なのが袖。ギャザーの分量を減らしてもよかったかなと。先日、ハンドメイドバッグを製作しているpass子さんからトートバッグが送られてきました。お世話になっているにも関わらずいつも頂く一方で・・・。贈り物に作ったこのブラウス、気に入ってくれるかなぁ～。

I found a pretty shirt in the Mrs. Stylebook Magazine (summer 2012) and thought at the same time, I wanted to make it for my friend. She is a kind of person who likes to make someone feel happy with stuff she makes. She loves making bags and cooking. She sent me a tote bag the other day. That's so sweet of her! In gratitude for her I made this shirt with combination of Liberty. Hope she feels happy with it like I did :)

I Heart Hearts

長らく放置していたブログですが戻って参りました！ここ数ヶ月は忙しくって服も作れず寂しい思いをしておりましたがお盆休みにようやく新作が完成しました。

ブラウスの生地は以前作ったワンピースの残布です。刺繍の端で裾をスカラップにしてみました。下向きのハートが多くなってしまったけど気にしません！とても薄い生地なのでスカラップは見返しが付いています。バルーンスカートは思うような形になるか不安もあり避けていましたが思い切って作ってみました。バルーンの場合、生地の素材や質感で仕上がりも変わってきます。選んだのは化繊のグログラン。張り、ごわつき感たっぷりで私の理想の仕上がりです。とても気に入っているので秋冬用に色違いも作ってみようと思います。
このスカートの製図はいずれアップするつもりです。興味のある方は辛抱強くお待ち下さいね。

It's been more than three months since my last post. Lots of work or things were going on. But I'm back now! I'm so happy to have my new collection in my wardrobe!! Yay!

You maybe remember this heart fabric. This is left-over from heart dress I made last summer. I utilized the heart-shaped scallop for the hem with facing. Luckily, the scallop line (technically asymmetric) matched up very nicely on the both sides. For the bubble skirt, I picked grosgrain fabric (acrylic, nylon) which is rather bulky/stiff and shapable. That made the bubble skirt exactly what I imagined. I'm so in love with it! I think I'll make one or two more in different color for autumn/winter.
If you're interested in drafting this skirt, please be patient. I'll post how to draft before too long.

インドシルクでアンサンブル　/ What Indian Silk Turned Out? ~ One Cool Thing, One Strange Thing Swap~

TJさんの企画"One Cool Thing, One Strange Thing Swap"（いわゆる物々交換）で私に届いた生地と型紙で作ったショートジャケットとワンピースのアンサンブルを作りました。遅くなってしまい焦ってましたがどうやら他のメンバーもゆっくりしている様子。型紙はマッコール(ヴィンテージ)、シンプリシティ(50's)、ヴォーグの三種類。セクシー系の服も着たい、と昔書いた記事をTJが覚えてたのでこの型紙をチョイスしたと言う。嬉しい話ですね～。しかしサイズを見るとどれもこれもデカイ。唯一近いサイズがマッコール。一番気に入っていたのでこれで作ることにしました。といっても殆ど直さなければならなかったので参考にしながら製図をし直しました。デザインはジャケット丈、ワンピの背中の開きと前の襟ぐりを少し変更。ジャケットの端は友布で紐を作り縁取りました。取り外し可能な袖風の肩リボンも作っちゃいました。

この様なブロガーさん達と交流する企画に参加したのは初めてだったのですが今回はTJのおかげでとても楽しかったです。新たなブログも発見できるので面白そうな企画を見つけたらまた遊んでみたいと思います。

First of all, I thank TJ of The Perfect Nose who organized "One Cool Thing, One Strange Thing Swap". I also appreciate her effort to sort everything out. She sent me fabulous Indian silk fabric, three of cool patterns (Simplicity, McCalls and Vogue). Additionally, she sent me a virtual (she calls so :P) parcel too in which some of useful and cool scanned sewing books were contained. Thank you TJ, I will buy you dinner when you get lost and starving in Japan. Oh, she deserves more? I agree.

Belatedly this is a short jacket ensemble I have finally finished. I chose a McCalls one because I liked the outfit most and its size was luckily closest to my size. But I still had to deal with sizing and ended up re-drafting referring to the original. I made some changes to it. For the dress, I made the front neck line squire-ish and reduced open V-back to hide bra band. As for the jacket, I shortened jacket length and made neckline a little wider. I made a tie out of the fabric and put it onto the jacket edges adding tucks. I have done this before using grosgrain ribbon. Last of all, I made attachable shoulder bows like cap sleeves. Now I think that looks too girly...

春コートアンサンブル　/ Spring Coat Ensemble

やっと出来上がったスプリングコートとワンピースのアンサンブル。始めては中断の繰り返しで二ヶ月近くかかってしまった。そしたら外はポカポカで、コートの出番はもうないかなぁ。
それにしてもこの生地、色々混じった化繊のツーウェイストレッチなんですが作りにくくてうんざり。ちょっとの事が表にひびくからごまかしが効かない。そうとは知らず先に作ったワンピースの仕上がりは不満だらけ。入れてしまったステッチ、解きたいけど穴がいてしまうから解けない。気になるのがプリンセスラインの所に出来たシワ。縫う時に片側が伸びたかも。伸び止めテープ貼るんだった・・・。やっぱり気になるから直さなきゃね。厄介な生地と分かったのでコートはシンプルですがなかなか気に入ってます。生地って色々あるけど作ってみて初めて気づく事ってあるんですよね。

Hello there! How's the weather up there? It's been very warm here, kinda hot in the daytime. Which means I will no longer have a chance to wear this coat and ended up waiting for next autumn. Oh well, it's okay, I made the flare skirt dress too. But I'm not happy with it. Do you see the slight wrinkles at the princess seams? This is a chemical stretch fabric and it stretches quite a lot. I think one side must have stretched when stitching because they weren't there when I fitted on. Besides all that, I shouldn't have picked this fabric for this seamed wear.

My mom's who has decades of career in this field and often says that learning never ends at any age. Yes, that is so true.

"One Cool Thing, One Strange Thing Swap"とは”いい物、おかしな物の取り替えっこ”という意味でThe Perfect Noseというブログ（海外）のTjさんが企画したもので届いた物で作って発表するものです。面白そうなので私も参加しました。そして今日ポストを見ると届いてました！誰から何が送られてくるか知らされていないのでワクワクしながら包みを開けると・・・、何てラッキーなの！インドシルクがたっぷり。何作ろうかな？型紙も入ってます。市販の型紙をあまり使った事がないのですが折角頂いたのでこの機会に使ってみようと思います。と、その前に、かなりかなり前から作っていたワンピ＆スプリングコートがやっと完成したので近々アップします。

こちらは先日購入した艶やか～で滑らか～な絵画、ではなくシルクサテンのパネル生地です。綺麗な風景画はもちろんですが特に色が気に入って購入しました。4パネルあって1パネルが65x65cmと小さく、2,3日頭を悩ませてデザインを考えた挙句決まらずじまい。シンプルなワンピースが一番可愛いのだけどマイクロミニになってしまう。私は良いけど世間が許さない。スカート案や裏地案もあるけどイマイチ。暫くはお預けです。日の目を見る日が来ればいいけど。

I bought this painting the other day. It's sleek and smooth, of course this is not a real painting but a painting print silk satin fabric. This is a panel (65x65cm) and there are four in a piece. I've been thinking and thinking what to do with this for a couple of days. I'm tired of thinking too much. The thing is, a panel is too small. A very simple dress would be the best but also means micro mini. I'm ok with it but that might piss people off. Oh well, I'm in my late 30s. Then should I make four scarfs? nope. Use As a lining then? Humm. that's not too bad. But for now, I think I should put aside this.
My work doesn't seem to rush me this week so I will have plenty of free time . Yay!

Pradaライクなレトロワンピ　/ Prada Inspired Retro Dress

今シーズンの秋冬プラダ。私のキーワードは、格子、前立て、ローウエスト、ボタン。でも思うような格子柄ってないものなんですよね。それから何ヶ月経っただろう、プラダの事も忘れかけてた頃、このアンゴラウールでコートを作り始めたんです。裁断もしてしまったと言うのに何となく気に入らなくて急遽変更したという訳。多少の妥協はあるものの、プラダチックなレトロワンピが完成しました。終わり良ければ全て良し！コートとしても着れそうです。
ボタンは色もデザインも気に入るものが全然見つからず、結局シンプルなボタンを染めてもらいました。艶消しなのが気に入らないけど仕方がないですね。袖口にダーツを入れたパフスリーブは初めての試み。全体の雰囲気にも合うしなかなかの出来栄えです。

Prada A/W collection 2011, that's what I had been wanting to add to my winter projects. Plaid, Fly-front (←correct name?), Low waist, Buttons, I chose these keywords that I wanted to take in the outfit. I decided to go with plaid. On the other hand, I was working on a coat with this Angola wool. Wondering how come it turned into a dress? Well, the coat looked boring when trying on. But I'm satisfied with ending up this result and even think this is better than plaid. Say, "All's well that ends well".

Choosing matched buttons is important. I couldn't find nice ones in color or design, so that I got these buttons dyed in the end. I added darts around the sleeve hem to make puffy shape. This is my first try. I think the sleeves match well with the retro dress. This can also be worn as a coat.

もうお気づきかもしれませんがブログメニューに"Pattern Making"ページを作りました。文化式です。原型から基本となるパンツやスカートの製図の仕方を説明しています。シンプルなワンピースやジャケットの製図など今後もアイテムを徐々に増やしていく予定、いえ、増えればいいなぁ、という気持ちでやっております。製図のイラストはお絵かきレベルの建築系キャド（多分）を駆使してますがサクサク描けないので気力が続くかどうか（笑）
興味のある方は参考にしてみて下さいネ♪

You may be aware that I have made a "Pattern Making" page in the menu bar which shows you how to draft basic patterns (Bunka method) such as bodice, sleeve, skirt or pants (for now). I will put more items as long as I don't lose my energy. Unfortunately the directions or advice are all written in Japanese and measurements are in "cm". But if you have a little bit of know-how for drafting, I think you will be able to understand with the illustrations only. Please take a look if you are interested in :)

ギャザーカラーのカシミアコート　/ Cashmere Gathered Collar Coat

念願のコートが完成です！昨年はコートを作らなかったので今年こそはと思っていたのです。実は別の生地でコートを作っていたのですが仮縫いの時点でどうも気に入らず急遽ワンピースに変更。そちらは次回アップします。それにしても私のコート・・・と思っていたらちょうど良いタイミングで母からこの生地を貰ったのでラッキーでした。さてこのコートのポイントはやっぱり襟でしょう～。ギャザーがたっぷり入って筒状になっています。ギャザーで生地が分厚くなるし伸びてしまうか内心不安でしたが苦労の末なんとか綺麗に出来あがりました。見にくいけど”リアル”ハンドステッチも入ってます。後ろ側の襟の中にキルト綿をクルクル巻いた枕を入れてみたらこれがいい感じにふんわりと。もちろん取り外し可能です。面白いでしょ？

I just noticed that it was in February 2010 I made a coat last time. Now, it's about time to want a new one. To tell the truth, I was working on a coat with Angola wool before I made this coat. Making pattern, cutting fabric out, basting, trying on, I did them all and then... "I don't like it much!". That's too bad cos I really wanted a new one... But I never wasted the fabric and it has turned into a coat dress now, haha! I'll post it soon. Lucky for me, my mom gave me this cashmere wool and I have finally made such a lovely coat. I applied edge-stitch with had work as well. I like the gathered collar which is figured like a tube. It's a tube! So I made a small pillow with rolled quilt butting and put it inside around the back neck so that the collar would look more in 3D. It's interesting, isn't it?

お年玉　/ New Year Surprise Gift

明けましておめでとう御座います。休みも終わってしまう思うと気分はブルー。あぁ、もっと怠けたい・・・とは行くはずもないので今年も洋服作りに励んでまいります！
今日は手作りバッグ製作しているpass子さんからのプレゼント、トートバッグです。スカートの残布を差し上げたところ、こんなにも素敵なバッグに大変身！モノトーンでシンプルだから何にでも合うしサイズも私好み。大活躍しそうです。見慣れた生地もこうして新しい物に生まれ変わると何か新鮮で嬉しいですね。

Speaking of new year, children are supposed to receive some money from their relatives. That's Japanese custom and of course I got money every year when I was a child. This new year, I got a surprise gift from my friend. Of course not money! I gave her the left over from my silk skirt before, then she MADE a tote bag using the silk inside for me. So I'm even happier with it than just a gift from a shop. This monotone bag is definitely useful in any scenes! Lucky me!!

レオパード柄タックスカートが完成しました。先日買ったドルガバです。ドギツイ？最初私もそう思いました。でも何回も見てる内にだんだんと素敵に見えてきたのです。妹もそうだった様でお揃いになりました。プレーンな黒のジャケットがずっと前から欲しかったのでちょうど良いこの機会に作りました。ウエスト切り替えでぺプラムにはポケットの下にタックが入っています。そしてこのボタン！ブローチ風のワンボタンにと思って買いました。かなり高かったので悩みましたがこの服にぴったりなので思い切って買うことに。今回はちょっと高すぎましたがやっぱりボタンは良いものを付けたいですね。

I finished Dolce & Gabbana leopard skirt. When I saw this fabric first time, I felt kinda disgust with the print and the color. But I have it in hand for some reason. What made my feeling change? I still don't know... I also made this plain black jacket which is suitable for any other skirts I have. I had been wanting a jacket like this. So I'm happy to have one in this timing. For this jacket, I bought a big and really fancy button. It costed me a lot. But I couldn't resist... because you know, it perfectly suits the jacket!
