Hey guys! I'm so sorry this took me such a long time. If you read my blog on the TS3 site, you would know why it took me such a long time to release this Chapter. Anyways, enjoy!

Details: Alicia is thrown into a swarm of darkness. What happens when she wakes up? Or does she?

“Go away!” I groaned at the disturbance of my beauty sleep.
It didn’t stop. “GO AWAY!!”
As if the phone grew ears, it fell silent for a few minutes, but soon started again.

“Ugh,” my eyes flew open as I placed my feet on the carpeted floor and groggily wandered towards the phone. I didn’t bother flicking the lights on, as I knew my way through this house without needing my fifth sense.

“Hello?” I rubbed my eyes, waking the sleep that overpowered me.
“Hello. Is this Alicia Rowe?” A deep voice came from the other end.
“Uh….yeah.” I said staring at the clock. 1:10AM?!? Who would call at this hour?
“Alicia, please come down to Lions Hospital as soon as possible. Your parents are in critical condition at the moment.”
It took me a full minute to process his words. “What?” I asked, stupidly.
“Come to the hospital and I will explain the details.” He said, hanging up without a goodbye. But I didn’t care because I started running in my pyjamas, fully awake.

“WHAT HAPPENED?” I burst in, not knowing who I was talking to while nurses turned, glaring at me to quiet down.

“Calm down first,” a broad man in a police uniform gestured for me to sit down.
“HOW-“ I caught myself and decided if I wanted answers, I would have to shut my mouth.
“Okay.”

Minutes passed as I crossed and uncrossed my legs. “So…” I started.
“They were in an accident.” I stayed silent to hear more.
“They,” he sighed, “were hit by another car.”
“And?” I choked, although I was unsure if I wanted to hear more. Stating that the two people who I loved more than anything were on the brink of death, turned my life into a cracking glass. And for every passing second, it got closer to being shattered.
“And…we don’t know who the driver is…,” he paused, “for now.”
“So it’s a hit and run?”my voice wavered. “Are they okay? Can I see them? Or are they...“
Even if it was only one syllable. Even if everyone in the world could say it, I was the only who couldn’t.
“Don’t worry Alicia, they’re still-“

“Alicia Rowe?” A man in a doctor’s uniform cut the police off, mid-sentence.
“Yeah?” Oh please let them be alright. Oh please. Oh please. Oh please.
“Your parents…” He paused for five long seconds, a wave of tension filling my body. Half of me wanted to bolt through the door but the other half wanted to stay and listen. Maybe it was good news. Maybe they’re all right. I couldn’t tell by reading the doctor’s expression. It was dead on blank.
I dreaded being born with bad luck because I wasn’t ready to hear what was coming at me. “Alicia, I’m sorry to say that at 1:27 and 1:28 am-,”
“What are you saying?” I blanched, “That’s impossible. There’s no way…”
“I’m sorry Alicia.” He frowned, sounding remotely sincere. And despite his clarity, I couldn’t accept it. Or maybe it was that I didn’t want to.
“But…but they…they can’t…” I dropped to the floor, my vision blurring, “they can’t do this….what about….”

“It’ll be alright Alicia.” The officer pat my head. Like that would help. “Don’t worry, you’ll-“
The officer was still talking when I closed my eyes, the voices around me turning into incomprehensible murmuring, and collapsed onto the cold floor.

White ceilings? This was definitely not my room. I blinked several times, struggling for clear vision that finally came back as I looked around at what I assumed was the hospital. Sitting on the side of the bed, I swung my legs over, cringing at the cold, tiled floor. The room was sickly white. I could probably go insane from staying here too long. I picked up my neatly lain glasses resting on the side table, and gingerly put them on.

“Alicia Rowe?” I spun my head to the direction the voice came from and gasped.
A beautiful woman with hair that would envy a Pantene model stood by the door with her uniform unbuttoned to show enough of her bra and cleavage.

“I…uh…” I stared at her. This isn’t what I thought it was…right? “Sorry, you’ve got the wrong person.”
She chuckled, “Don’t lie, hun. This is a hospital and we need all the information we can get.”
I didn’t know whether to take her seriously or not. But judging by the way she wore her uniform…”I’m not Alicia Rowe.”
“Well, we’re not going to get anywhere if you continuously deny your birth name.”
Ha. Please. I was not going to be put in some sort of whorehouse. Nope. Not in this lifetime. “I’m not Alicia Rowe. I have absolutely no clue who she is. Now that you’ve heard the truth, can I go home now?”

“Home?” She cocked her head to the side. Yes. Home. H-O-M-E. You seem to be fluent in English, yet “home” seems to be a foreign word to you.
“Please?” I added.

She laughed, high and supple. “I’m afraid that won’t be happening anytime soon.”
It was my turn to cock my head, “Excuse me?”
“Don’t you remember?”
“Remember wha-“Realization hit me like an eight hundred pound truck. The elevator incident, - which I concluded on identifying it as - and my encounter with the blue subhuman played as a trailer in my mind. My tongue danced with questions but was left to disintegrate behind fatigue.

Feeling my legs falter, I perched on the side of the bed, balancing my body with hands spread out to the side. I felt nauseous. I wanted to go home. Where were my parents when I needed them?
“Where am I?” I asked, half expecting a coherent answer.
The woman walked slowly towards the bed, dragging a chair along with her. She elegantly sat down, lifting one fair-skinned leg over the other and leaned forward, grinning like a wild animal catching its prey.
“Welcome,” she stated, “to the future.”

Imminent (Chapter 2)

Wow, this took me waaaay shorter to make than chapter 1. It was much easier since I used the same set haha. Please read the intro and chapter 1 if you haven't done so yet! Anyways, hope you enojoy~ *0*

Details:
Alicia Rowe is on her way back home. It's dark outside with the moon serving as her only source of light. Will she make it back home safely? Or will she find herself in a crisis?

I made a mental note to not go back the way I came from.

Finding a new route was easy. It was a small neighbourhood to start off with, and I found myself knowing more about it than I’d like.

I stood in front of the lobby door, fumbling to open the lock.
Crap, it’s really dark out; I squinted, shifting my position to let the moon shine its dim light on the door handle. Click.

I hurried inside slamming the door behind. Why's it dark in here too? The lights flickered horrendously, sending an eerie chill up my spine. Walking to the elevator wasn’t any better. The soles of my shoes made light squeaky noises leaving my heart racing around a track.

I paused in front of the elevator, sensing a presence from behind.
                “Hey, you going up?”
                “Whaaaaa?” I spun around, alarmed.
                “Whoa, there. I’m not going to do anything to you...” A boy with eyes as deep as the ocean, placed his hands in the air. Where’d he come from?

“Ah, sorry, I...” I trailed off taking in the boy’s perfectly sculptured face with hair as black as midnight tousled in every direction. His porcelain skin illuminated the white hoodie he wore and suddenly, I felt self-conscious.

“Nah, it’s okay. I should be the one to say sorry. I scared the bejeezes out of you.”
                Yeah, no kidding, I thought while he unexpectedly smiled.
               “Sorry.” I blurted, growing butterflies in my stomach.
               “For what?” confusion spread across his perfectly angular face.
               “Err...nothing,” I replied, mentally slapping myself.

I was getting over my embarrassment, when he asks, “So...are you going in or are you going to stand there, and wait to rot?”
“I guess I’ll stay here and wait for myself to decay. “ I pointed to the quivering lights and added, “I’ll perfect this frightening scenery.”
“Good choice. Under these lights, you’ll be able to scare anyone, shitless.” I laughed.

He pushed the button and we stepped into the hideous elevator.
“What floor?”
“Three.”

The elevator complained as it climbed its way up.
If I were living my old life right now, I’d be texting my friends, bragging how this cute boy was talking to me.

Kershick.
                The elevator jolted to a stop. Was this really happening? I didn’t know whether to be frightened or delighted. I glanced over to see the boy leaning against the wall with his eyes closed.
                “Oh my gawd, the elevator broke down” I said, a little too late.
                “Hm...” he hummed, calmly.
               He didn’t seem to be concerned by the fact that the elevator was jammed. Not to mention he may be stuck with a girl who has two contrasting emotions fighting to the death - most likely until morning. What if he does something to me by then? I froze, my blood running cold from the thought. I cursed under my breath as I realized there weren’t any emergency buttons. Damn this building.

Suddenly, he started mumbling something quick, in a foreign language that I’ve never heard before. The boy repeated it several times with an odd, melodic tune.
“Uhm, we’re kind of in a jammed elevator and you’re singing at a time like this? Could you be any more calm? Seriously.” Was what I wanted to say but instead I said, “I’m going to yell for help so you may want to plug your ears or something.”
He paused. Five seconds of suffocating, awkward silence lead me to start calling out.

“HELLO? ANYONE THERE? TWO PEOPLE ARE STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR, PLEASE-“ I stopped, and screamed.
From the corner of the elevator, a black force eerily ate its way through the walls and floor.
“Wha...wha...what the hell is that?” I spun towards the boy, eyeing him for answers.
He chuckled. Not normal. Not normal at all.

The dark force inched its way forward, slamming me against the wall. Then it occurred to me. This must be a dream. There was no way this was happening.
“Uhm...” I started, “there’s no black hole or anything in the corner...right?” I was in desperate need for a hopeful answer.

He laughed from beside me and leaned on his side. I gasped as he met my gaze. Crimson red eyes cut through to my soul, sending shivers of fear down my spine.
He didn’t have red eyes before. Did he?
My perplexed state was rapidly escalating; spinning my thoughts into a typhoon of emotion. Never before would I have thought that I’d be stuck in a tribulation.

I was abruptly brought back to reality when I felt a tight grip on my waist. I looked around and gasped. It was pitch black…so black my illuminating skin burned my eyes.
                “Aaaah,” I tried to scream but nothing came out.
                “Aaaaah,” I tried again but still, nothing.
                “Oh my gawd,” I screamed, not hearing myself, “I’m deaf.”

My eyes made its way to the boy’s apathetically glazed stare that chilled every bone in my body. “You’re not deaf. You’re in between space and time where noise drowns into the abyss of oblivion,” his silky voice bounced off the invisible surface.
“Then why can I hear you and not myself?” I cried.
He placed an elegant finger to his lips, “That’s a secret.”

And just like that, without any mercy, he pushes me down into the interminable darkness. I screamed so loud that it rang my ears, only to remember that, that loudness was a deafening silence.

Imminent (Chapter 1)

Omg, Chapter 1 is finally here. >.< It took me such a long time to do this chapter, seriously. It was back-breaking. I had to make the set and all that fo shiz haha. Anyways, really hope you enjoy reading this~

Details:
It's been a month after the traumatizing event that killed Alicia Rowe's parents. She decides to leave the home she grew up in, and live on her own in a run-down building in a shabby neighbourhood. She's determined to run away from the social workers who'll put her in an unknown orphanage. What will happen to her?

I sat down beside my bed gazing at the cracked, white walls. Well, it’s better than nothing, I noted. Moving was difficult. Leaving all my childhood memories behind in the house that’s become a part of me, made me feel as if I lost my other half. As cliché as that sounds, putting it into any other words wouldn’t have been able to express how I truly felt.

I must have stayed there for 6 hours or so, observing and recognizing each little detail of that one wall because I abruptly snapped back to reality, only to realize that I was sitting alone in the mournful darkness. I felt like a vampire; avoiding the murderous sun, waiting to wallow into the night.

Sighing at my lousy comparison to a non-fictional being, I got up to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
Damn, forgot to buy food.
I pulled on a light hoodie and headed out into the cool, breezy night, searching for a restaurant. It was too late to go to the grocery store.
Should’ve gone earlier, I rolled my eyes at my procrastination.

I walked along the pavement, dismissing the luring eyes that were fixed on me.

I hated living here. I advanced forward absentmindedly as I thought of the things about this neighbourhood made me want to cringe.

Peering from the corner of my eye, a man stumbled his way towards me, using the rusty fence for support. I had to count to ten to calm my nerves down.
“Hey, wutsa pree lady like you walkin’lone sooo late ‘t night?” He slurred.

I speed-walked past him, ignoring his bothersome comment.
“Hey...hey, pree lady! Where ya goin’?” he asked, trailing behind me. I felt my palms sweat with apprehension.

“Heyy, HEY YOUUUU!!!” I took off.
Heavy, uneven breathing accompanied the stable rhythm of my shoes hitting the cold, hard pavement.
“Mom,” I choked, “Dad.”

My lungs were about to burst by the time I got to the restaurant. I looked around at the familiar setting. A rush of relief engulfed me. This will do.
I walked past several tables to my favourite seat at the far end, listening to mainstream boom out of the radio. It instantly reminded me of those times when my friends and I danced along to Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, with no specific choreography.

I slumped down on a cushioned chair beside the window and sighed.

“What can I get for you today?”
                I jerked up, startled at the sound of her voice and coughed, trying to hide the fact that my heart was about to burst out of my chest. There were far too many startling events that occurred this evening.
                “Do you even have to ask, Lindy?” I asked, staring at her beige apron that always seems to compliment her emerald green eyes. Even with an unattractive apron and a sloppy bun, she still manages to look like a runaway model.
              “Well, I thought you would want to order something different for a change,” she shrugged.
                “Have I ever asked you for anything other than chicken noodle soup?”
                “Hm...” she pondered, “Point.”
                Ever since Lindy read The Clique Series, she’s been copying Alicia Rivera’s “point,” whenever someone corrected her or simply stated the truth.
                I rolled my eyes as she turned her back towards me, heading to the kitchen to place my order.
                I met Lindy a few weeks back when I became a regular. She took my order for a week and finally got it when I ordered chicken noodle soup every time.

“Seriously though, there are better options on the menu. Just scan it through?” She’d said.
“Nah, I’m really craving chicken noodle soup at the moment.”
“That’s what you always say.”She’d roll her eyes and walk off.

The chicken noodle soup appeared in front of me as I continued to stare out the window, lost in thought.
                “Uhm...hello? Your choodle soup is here.” Oh, great. A new nickname for my chicken noodle soup.
“Yeah, sweet...thanks ,” I said.
                “Not so grateful, eh?” Lindy pouted, “Well, you’ll feel guilty once you try the new and improved taste of the choodle soup.”
                “Looking forward to it,” I scowled as she walked away.

A spoonful was enough for me to realize what the secret ingredient was.
Mint. She added mint and that was all there was to it.

Lindy skipped back to my table nudging me to scoot over as she sat down.

“Sooo...?”

“Sooo, what?” I asked, innocently.She scowled, “Oh, come on. I need the verdict here. Don’t leave me hanging onto suspense.”
“It was...” I started but thought the better of it, “but first, you have to say the magic word.”
“What are we? Seven?”Lindy grimaced.
“Seven going on seventeen,” I grinned.
Lindy looked away indicating that it was a lame joke. Did I really have to get that from my dad’s side?
“Okay, fine. It was really good, but seriously? It doesn’t take a genius to know that you added mint in there...somewhere.”
“But I didn’t add mint”she blinked.
“Oh, come on. Stop playing with me. There was an overpowering taste of-“
“But I didn’t add mint,”she repeated. “Then what did you add?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Okay,” Lindy grinned, “so I found this plant in a really cool jar and it looked totally edible so I threw it in.” She stared at my dumbfounded face and added, “It looked fresh and pretty, so don’t worry about it.”
                Lindy never fails to amaze me with her “blonde moments.”
                “Okay, that’s cool. You know, like no big. Just casually getting food poisoned.” I glared.
                “It’s not like that,” she whined, “don’t worry, it’s totally edible. It was in the kitchen. Boss wouldn’t store something in there if it were not edible.”
               “But you’re a waitress. You shouldn’t go around doing the chef’s work.”
               “And you’re a customer.” She crossed her arms, “You shouldn’t go around paying with no tip.” Caught. I couldn’t remember the last time I tipped a waiter.

“Alright” I sighed, slamming a ten on the table and stood up to leave.
“See you tomorrow?” She grinned, following my action.

“I don’t think so.” I waved, thinking of going to the grocery store early in the morning.

Just as I set foot out the door, I heard Lindy chuckling from behind, mumbling “point.”

Oh my, that's it...for now! It will get better, don't worry. Sorry if this chapter was boring. ^^" It may take me a long time to get Chapter 2 up because trust me, it takes a loooonnggggg time for me to take the pics and stuff because I have to make the set and all that. Haha.

Hey guys! Welcome to Imminent. It's my first time writing a story; hopefully it's okay. >.< It's fairly short...well, it's an intro, 'nuff said. :P

Anyways, enjoy~

Details:

Alicia Rowe has always blamed herself for the traumatic event that killed her parents. She was still adjusting to her new lifestyle when she’s pushed into the darkness and wakes up in the future?

I blinked. That’s all I really did, honestly. I just couldn’t wrap my head around it; it completely defied the laws of physics.
               Surely this isn’t heaven...is it? I closed my eyes and shook my head; half believing it would bring me back to the ugly, aged elevator.
                Dismay eased its way through as soon as I opened my eyes.
                Where am I? I gazed at my unfamiliar surroundings, feeling a twinge of panic eroding my stomach.

I have to get out of here, I thought, trying to push myself off the ground, only to find my legs frozen in place.

Damnit, damn everything to- “OH MY GAWD” I cried as I caught a glimpse of a blue silhouette standing in front of me. Where the hell did it come from?
                I jumped at the sound of a high-pitched scream breaking the silence. I wanted so badly to crawl in my bed with my mother stroking my hair, soothing me with comforting words.
                Everything will be alright sweetie, don’t worry.
              I took the effort to ask it my thoughts, but being able to think straight was out of the question. New inquiries would pop up every time I thought of a recent one, leaving me dazed from the overwhelming disarray of questions.
                I settled with the second one I thought prior to my arrival, considering it the most momentous question, correlating the rest.

Just as I was about to ask where I was, I realized that my mouth was already formed in an O. My throat tingled as if I were speaking two octaves higher than usual. Disturbance furnished my body as I understood those simple gestures.
Oh I thought, like that explained everything, and suddenly, the blue subhuman didn’t matter so much anymore.

Then the world swirled, faded, took me floating into the darkness.
