Well, never heard there's a movie about the life of Martin Luther - wonder why? - but today, I've watched it for the first time, thanks to Roberts Liardon, under who's teaching I'm blessed to be for a few days.

In his pursuit of knowing God and gaining His forgiveness, Martin shook the whole world of Christianity, especially the Catholic Church at Rome, with his teachings solely from the Scripture, and not from the Pope, or other priests.

Just some highlights from the movie, hope it'll make you watch it and ponder about your Christianity:
* So you think that hatred will save you?
* God is not angry at you; you are angry to God.
* God gave you gifts for a purpose.
* Where Jesus is, there I should be also.
* You must put your trust in God's love.
* Christ is found not in the bones of the saints (relics), but in your love for each other, in your love for one another.
* If we live the Word by faith in love and service to one another we need to fear no man's judegment.
* I'm not interested in the comfort ... I'm interested in the truth!
* If you decide to fight, you also have to decide to win.
* Heresy is never a small matter.
* Let my errors be proven by the Scripture.
* My conscience is captive to the Word of God. To go against conscience is neither right nor safe.
* The language of the Bible should be like a mother's to her children.
* I've always seek Christian unity, but not at the price of servitude.

I. Walking Down the Streets.... in Oradea

So long waited warm weather has finally arrived in Oradea. Some would say that summer got earlier - in the end of April - than it was supposed to. Personally, I don't mind... I wanna live for eternity in the summer season :).

So, as I walked down the streets, couldn't help myself not to make some photos, especially seeing one of my favorite trees blooming - Magnolia! You'll find them in the courtyard of what used to be The Museum, now The Baroque Palace of Oradea.

The Roman Catholic Cathedral (Catedrala Romano-Catolica) in Oradea, built between 1752 and 1780, is Romania’s largest Baroque religious edifice. Drawing on plans for the Church of the Gesu in Roma, the cathedral forms part of the architectural ensemble that Hillerbrandt designed, which includes the Bishop’s Palace.

Cartea si Persoana Potrivita

Unii spun ca "meseria te alege pe tine". Altii spun, ca, de fapt, "tu-ti alegi meseria". Well, in cazul de fata, am convigerea ca, "cartea a ales persoana". Mai ales, ca persoanei in cauza nu-i place sa citeasca. Deloc!

In general, nu fac recomandari de carte sau film.... sau muzica. Nu pentru ca nu as putea, ci, cred ca fiecare are un anumit gen de carte pe care o citeste in functie de starea de spirit sau circumstantele in care se afla. Atunci cand recomand, totusi, ma asigur ca spun unei persoane pe care o cunosc destul de bine si ca am convingerea ca acea carte i-ar fi de folos.

Asa se face ca, mai zilele trecute, (Sambata, mai exact) i-am dat unei persoane apropiate o carte, stiind de circumstantele si starile sufletesti in care se afla.

Is My Easter Ecard Went Viral?

So far, in 2 days it has 234 Likes and 43 Shares! Haven't counted the Likes and Shares from Shares and from Shares and so on....

It all started with a private message on Facebook and it was the first person to whom I sent this Easter Ecard. He choose to post it on his wall as a cover photo:

From Roberts, the Ecard just spread ..... and I was astonished seeing how many people were impacted by it.

Why is this important to me? It's just another proof that Social Media - in this case, Facebook - is the proper environment to spread your message. And even if your just a simple person, you can add value to your online presence.

Traditional Marriage vs Same Sex Marriage

Over night many Facebook profile images have been turned in supporting "same-sex/gay marriage" or "traditional marriage". That's great when, as a person, you can freely state your opinion. It's a great privilege for everyone from everywhere to enjoy, as Barack Obama stated very clearly as he was re-elected as a President of U.S.A.:

I agree with his statement, not only for the Americans and their gender, but for every person in this world, even those with disabilities or who can't speak for themselves.

There's one think I don't understand in this debate: since marriage is an institution created by God, why some men think they can call same-sex marriage a marriage? Why now, over thounsands of years, some folks just wake up thinking they can change the Constitution? As far as I know, in each country's Constitution is written that marriage is protected by state and it is formed between a man and a woman. At least, in Romania's Constitution.

My point is, that same-sex relationship can not be called marriage. Maybe they can invent some other word for their relationship, like contract or colaboration, or cohabitation.... whatever, but except marriage. Marriage is not for same-sex partners, it is for a man and a woman becoming one, as it is written in Genesis and other passages in the Bible.

Please, show me where it is written that man invented the marriage?

Surpriza placuta azi: am primit Martisor!

Daca altii fac topuri a brandurilor romanesti existente in online, de azi, incep sa scriu despre cum anume comunica ele. Am mai scris despre tangenta mea cu branduri romanesti (Petrom, Vodafone, Sensiblu, Ivatherm, etc), fie prin intermediul unor campanii, fie a unor concursuri, fie le-am mentionat doar pentru ca mi-a placut modul in care comunica.

Mentionez ca nu urmaresc toate brandurile romanesti care exista la ora actuala in mediul digital. Cu unele vin in contact in mod intamplator, pe altele le caut eu. Articolele reprezinta opinia personala bazata pe interactiunea mea cu ele.

Asadar, azi: Lidl Romania. (In acest moment) Cu un public de 828.494 membri pe Facebook si 857 followers pe Twitter, a reusit, intr-un timp relativ scurt, sa se impuna in spatiul digital. Eu ii urmaresc de cateva luni, cam de cand au deschis magazine si in Oradea (Iosia si Episcopia).

Imi place strategia lor: nu-s incisivi, vorbesc cu oricine, iti raspunde la intrebari, nu te bombardeaza cu oferte, nu publica continut enervant de des. Nu stiu cum administreaza concursurile online, daca au facut sau nu pana acum. Deocamdata, n-am "prins" nici unul. ;)

In ce ma priveste, sunt primii care mi-au multumit de vizita (pe Twitter, folosind check-in de la Foursquare). De fiecare data. Inca, nu am dat de nici un alt brand care sa-mi multumeasca pentru ca le-am trecut pragul. Dintre magazinele in care-mi fac cumparaturile, sunt primii care mi-au oferit Martisor!

De mentionat ca, interactivitatea lor pe Facebook este mult mai accentuata decat pe Twitter.

Daca esti un brand care desfasori comert online si vrei sa-ti fidelizezi clientii prin canalele social media, iata cateva lectii de la Lidl Romania:

1. Respecta clientul (utilizatorul care ti-a dat Like sau Follow). Vorbeste cu el, multumeste-i, raspunde-i la intrebari, nu-l bombarda cu oferte si continut postat des.
2. Asigura-te ca ceea ce afirmi online e valabil si in realitate (in magazin, restaurant, etc).
3. Nu exagera cu publicitatea produselor tale. Cauta, mai degraba, sa introduci clientul in legatura cu produsul respectiv, fie spui o gluma, o ghicitoare, o poveste.
4. Nu-ti impune, in mod agresiv, punctul de vedere. Lasa clientul sa decida ce vrea sa cumpere. Indruma-l, daca are nevoie.
5. Ofera beneficiile produsului.
6. Rasplateste clientul, macar c-un "Multumesc de vizita"!

Just watched the ("politically incorrect") speech of Dr. Benjamin Carson at the National Prayer Breakfast with President Barack Obama: FABULOUS! I hope you do take 30 minutes to watch it. I guarantee that you'll not even notice how fast those minutes will pass.

For so many reasons I relate with this message, especially regarding education. For me, it was not my mother who put a book on my hands, but my father! And indeed, at first, I hate him for that. But, as time passed by, I became a book lover. And I've been so in love with reading that I dreamed that my job would be a librarian so I can sit all day long and just read... and read....

Education liberates! But if you don't know what means to be free, you won't cherish any information, or knowledge. "Those less informed will become vulnerable", as Dr. Carson states.

Ben Stein on CBS Sunday Morning

Though this message was viral on Facebook, where I saw it for the first time, during Christmas Holidays, it's truth still echoes, and, sadly to say, it's so actual nowadays.

Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as “Holiday Trees” for the first time this year which prompted CBS presenter, Ben Stein, to present this piece which I would like to share with you. I think it applies just as much to many countries as it does to America . . .

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, “Merry Christmas” to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crib, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her: “How could God let something like this happen?” (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said: “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?”

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it.... no one will know you did. But if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

As fi vrut sa scriu despre cum au fost cele 266 de zile din 2012 si cam ce vreau de la cele 265 de zile ale lui 2013, asa cum am obisnuit sa fac de ceva ani. Dar, din tot anul 2012, inca, raman blocata si marcata de data de 6-8 Noiembrie cand mama a plecat dintre muritori. Nimic, absolut nimic, nu poate umple golul lasat de ea. Si, cred ca asa e dat sa fie. De aceea, nici nu am cautat sa-l umplu, ci l-am lasat sa ma copleseasca si sa-l simt cu intreaga fiinta. Mangaierile si condoleantele isi au rostul si efectul de moment, dar dupa.... golul revine si sta, apoi, pleaca, apoi, revine iar, apoi, pleaca....

Fiind fire optimista, in general, si constienta ca viata pe pamant implica si suferinta si durere si.... moarte, inteleg ca viata mea nu sta in loc si ca depinde de mine sa-i dau directie si sens. Iar bloggingul e parte din viata mea. Inca! Asa ca, anul 2013 nu va incepe cu traditionalul post A.F..... A.M.R...., ci am sa postez doar "statusurile lui 2012 de pe Facebook", asa cum mi le-a randuit aplicatia "My Year In Status". Am mai spus ca, probabil, e una dintre aplicatiile care-mi plac foarte mult si care, pentru mine personal, e foarte haioasa.

Christmas: The Connection Of Cause And Effect

The stories are a collections of stories that capture who we are, whether we are a family, a tribe, an organization, a movement, a nation or a people. The stories contain our values. They show what matters from our history. Given the brain research, telling stories of our heroes, for example, helps us feel the dangers and the risks and the victories. A story, if broken down into the simplest form, is a connection of cause and effect.

But if we never tell the stories, we aren’t passing on the experience, renewing the “us”. We lose the stories and remember sitcoms.

The celebration of our Savior's Birth is the proper time to tell stories. Those stories that are behind His birth. From the prophecies given in the Old Testament, 'till the day when those prophecies have been fulfilled in the New Testament. The world would not celebrate Christmas if it wouldn't be for Christ! Otherwise, it's just a Mas Day Celebration in our calendar.

When you'll decorate your Christmas tree, it's a proper time to tell stories. When you're at the table eating the special food prepared especially for Christmas day, it's a proper time to tell stories. When you open your Christmas gift, it's another proper time to tell stories. Listening to a carol or going to a Christmas Concert it's another way to hear stories about His birth. Watching a Christmas movie, is another way to hear His story.

This year, when you tell or hear Christmas stories, try to look behind them and find the connection of cause and effect of your celebration!

Inainte sa citesc articolul din HBR, de fapt, sa vizionez videoclipul, titlul m-a facut sa zambesc, gandindu-ma cum ar fi asta... sa angajezi pe cineva potrivit personalitatii pe care o are. Adica, sa nu-ti pese ce scrie pe diploma, sa nu tii cont de recomandari si C.V., ci, pur si simplu, din interviul face2face sa-ti dai seama de personalitatea omului, de pasiunile lui, de temerile lui, etc... si sa zici: "Esti angajat! Cand poti sa-ncepi lucrul?"

In cele aproape 2 minute, Robert Chavez - Presedinte si CEO Hermès, explica de ce aceasta este metoda prin care el angajeaza o persoana, de ce personalitatea este mai importanta decat studiile/recomandarile/C.V.-ul cuiva. Pana la urma, persoana angajata aduce in companie propria persoana: cu atitudinile ei, pasiunile ei, valorile ei de viata, ingrijorarile/temerile ei, etc... si acestea fac diferenta intre un agajat care-i place munca pe care o face si unul care lucreaza doar ca sa ia un salar.

Daca vreodata vei dori ca Robert Chavez sa te angajeze, atunci ar fi bine sa tii cont de cerintele lui, si anume:
- simtul umorului
- zambetul natural. Zambetul nu se invata. El se simte daca e natural sau fals.
- invatabil. Disponibil de a invata despre orice lucru legat de compania in care urmeaza sa lucrezi.
- "Ce e important pentru tine?" intrebarea cheie a carui raspuns iti poate aduce angajarea.

Zic interesant, pentru ca e prima data cand primesc un mesaj-scam bine construit, astfel incat sa atraga: e clar, are subiect, iti spune ce vrea, fara greseli, are o adresa de email ce pare (la prima vedere) valida, are un nume/prenume, trimis si la alti recipienti.... ce sa mai zic.... misto.

La un moment dat, aveam menirea sa aflu cine e mama! Ea, ca persoana, nu ca mama! Prin diferitele circumstante pe care aveam sa le traiesc in vis, persoanele pe care le intalneam, intrebarile si raspunsurile aflate pe parcurs, m-au dus in momentul in care stateam pe-un scaun, pe balcon, la etajul 7, si ma uitam in zare incercand sa ajung la o concluzie cu privire la cine era mama!

Dintr-o data, langa mine au venit un barbat si un baiat. Barbatul isi pune mana pe umarul meu s-mi zice: "Acuma, stii cine e mama ta?" Ma uit la el uimita, vazand intre timp cum mama zboara peste balcon. Dau sa-ntind mana dupa ea si strig: "Mami, mami!", vazand-o cum se transforma intr-o zana si cum imi zambea ca si cum si ea si eu stim cine este ea! Barbatul ma atinge si-mi spune: " Nu, nu... las-o. Acum, ea e acolo! Las-o!" Ma uit si-o vad pe mama-zana, zambind, asezata pe-o ramura de copac.

Multumesc, mama! Ai fost si ai trait exact ca-n vis: o zana buna care avea menirea de a indeplini dorinte!

Maine, in SUA, se scrie un nou capitol al istoriei americane. Lupta intre cei doi candidati e destul de stransa, iar daca ma iau dupa articolele/tweeturile de pe retelele sociale, castigator e Obama.... ba nu, e Romney...Obama.... Romney.....

Ma gandesc, cu inima stransa, la momentul in care Romania va trebui sa-si aleaga presedintele. Si daca ma uit atent in politica romaneasca, imi vine sa-mi pun mainile in cap si sa strig cu nedumerire "Da, eu cu cine sa votez?"

Am gasit un articol care descrie pros & cons al fiecarui candidat. Mi-ar place sa vad asa ceva si in Romania, atunci cand va veni timpul. Votul va inclina, mai clar, catre un anume candidat.

Ce vor face americanii? Cred ca, pana la urma, nu vor vota numele presedintului sau culoarea pielii acestuia, ci vreau sa cred ca vor vota valorile (viata, casatorie, libertatea religioasa, responsabilitate fiscala, educatie, sistemul de sanatate) exprimate in campanie. Cel putin asa as face eu!

Din vara tot aud de stilul ombre, doar ca avea de-a face cu podoaba capilara, nicidecum cu unghiile. Azi, am dat de articolul "Manichiura Ombre" in revista One, si mi s-a pus pata: vreau si eu! Citesc, citesc, citesc pana dau de urmatorul pasaj:

"Pentru început, realizează o manichiură obişnuită, acordând atenţie specială cuticulelor şi aplicând la final ca lac de baza (Base coat) cea mai deschisă nuanţă pe care vrei să o foloseşti în manichiura Ombre. Poate fi orice, de la lila, roz deschis, bleu s.a.m.d

După ce lacul de bază s-a uscat complet este timpul să pregătim nuanţele pentru a realiza degrade-ul. Pe o folie de plastic, picură o cantitate semnificativă din nuanţă deschisă şi imediat lângă acceasi cantitate din nuanţă închisă. Desi a fost un eveniment deschis publicului oradean, cu ocazia celebrarii Zilei Oradiei, as spune, mai degraba, ca m-am simtit ca la o intalnire privata, unde povestile spuse nu sunt pentru toata lumea, decat pentru cei prezenti.

Undeva in jur de 40-50 persoane au asistat la discursul Principelui Radu al Romaniei, care a venit insotit de nepotul sau, Principele Nicolae al Romaniei, vorbind despre "Masinile Regelui", noul volum din seria cartilor despre Casa Regala, ce tocmai s-a lansat si la Oradea, la Diverta in Lotus Mall.

Aceasta sabie este un cadou oferit de Lotus Mall Principelui Radu

Fara tam-tam, fara numerosi oameni de paza, cu modestie si fundal de muzica clasica, Principele Radu ne-a transmis pasiunea pe care Regele Mihai I al Romaniei o avea, inca de mic copil, pentru masini. Aceasta carte este una sensibila dar si istorica, ne-a descris-o insusi autorul, criticand totodata si costurile mari cerute de edituri. Editura Curtea Veche fiind cea care, pana la urma, a acceptat sa tipareasca aceasta colectie, la un pret rezonabil. La Diverta, cartea m-a costat 39 ron. Isi merita banii, tinand cont si de calitatea tiparirii.

Rasfoind cartea, am observat cum, pe langa masinile de teren sau cele militare, Regele avea pasiune pentru masinile de lux: de la Mercedes, la Lincoln, la Buick, Alfa Romeo, Ford etc., la marca sa favorita, Jaguarul, despre care afirma ca ii place cel mai mult cum se comporta pe drum. Nascut cu volanul in mana, dupa cum el insusi afirma, experienta dansului in domeniul auto numara peste VIII decenii.

Cartea este bine legata, eleganta, iar numeroasele poze sunt un deliciu ocular. Titlul cartii ar fi putut contine si Avioanele Regelui, pentru ca si acestui domeniu ii sunt dedicate cateva pagini bune. Regele Mihai I a devenit pilot la varsta de 20 ani, mai mult din joaca decat obligat sau benevolent, avand un instructor-pilot ce nu tinea cont de protocolul regal, si anume, Traian Udrischi. Pozele din carte certifica pasiunea dansului pentru avioane, dar si pilotarea lor.

Doar cateva poze care sa va dea o idee despre ce a insemnat aceste pasiuni in viata Regelui Mihai:

Pentru mine, acest gen de carte se citeste si se rasfoieste la o cafea; e una de relaxare, nicidecum de studiu al automobilelor si al avioanelor.

De ceva timp, urmaresc si citesc despre Casa Regala si pe retele de socializare, si anume:
