Rangers Say “Goodbye” to Long-Time Hitting Coach Rudy Jaramillo</title>
<description>
Over the past 15 years with the Rangers, Rudy Jaramillo built his reputation as one of the top hitting coaches in all of baseball. But after turning down a one-year offer to return to the Rangers in 2010, Jaramillo is now a “coaching free agent” and will look to continue his career with a different major league team. The Rangers offer of $545,000 would have kept Jaramillo atop the list of the highest-paid hitting coach in baseball.

At age 59, Jaramillo had spent 26 of his 31 seasons in pro baseball with the Rangers organization.

 Bradie James’ Personal Mission: Promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month</title>
<description>
Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Bradie James, a team captain, isn't trying to set a fashion trend this month. But he's secure enough in his masculinity to wear pink cleats and pink gloves during October. To raise awareness of breast cancer, the NFL is allowing players during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month to wear pink cleats, gloves, wrist bands, sideline caps and towels. Fighting breast cancer and promoting awareness is a priority for James who lost his mother, Etta, to breast cancer in 2002.

"My mom lost her battle with breast cancer, so it's good we can do something like this," said James. "We're just going to honor all the survivors and all the people that lost their battles and promote awareness. Last year, it was just pink wristbands. We didn't get any pink equipment until late. This year, the league has been more proactive. It will be a good month." </description>

My Heroes Have Always Cowboys: Nick Folks Scores More Than Points When He Kicks a Field Goal or Extra Point</title>
<description>
Dallas Cowboys kicker Nick Folk has teamed-up with a children's charity because the organization's work hits particularly close to home. Nick's little 11-year old cousin, Blake Robinson, suffers from neurofibromatosis, a progressive disorder in which nerve tissue grows tumors. To help Blake and other children affected by the same disease, Nick has joined with the Children's Tumor Foundation for the "Kick for Kids" program. Folk will donate $25 for each extra point and $75 for field goals during the season to the foundation. He will also participate in the October golf tournament at Canyon Creek which benefits the Texas chapter of the CTF.

Ian Kinsler Makers History: Joins Exlcusive 30-30 Club</title>
<description>
When second baseman Ian Kinsler hit a 3-run homer in the 8th inning on September 25th to seal the Rangers’ 8-3 win over the Rays, he also made history. It was Kinsler’s 30th home run of the season which, when added to his total of 30 stolen bases, made him only the third second baseman in Major League Baseball history to total 30-or-more homers and 30-or-more stolen bases in a single season.

Alfonso Soriano (Rangers ‘05, Yankees ’02, ‘03) and Brandon Phillips (Reds ‘07) are the only other members of the exclusive 30-30 club among Major League second basemen.

“I’d been sitting on 29 for half a month now, and it took a while to get the last one,” noted Kinsler. “Everyone was behind me, wanting me to get it out of the way. It took a little while to get that last one. I wasn’t really pressing because you do the same things at the plate.”
