As I have mentioned before (read here or here) I love trucks over cars, any day! The bigger the better, more rumble equals more love! But there is one other feature that stands out on a truck for me and I know my hubby would agree. It’s a nice set of tread and rims! When R family got the opportunity to test drive some tread through PTPA, I knew daddy would be in his glory. His first manly PTPA review, on a topic he felt comfortable with! I too had a cheek to cheek smile that was permanent!

When you live in snow country like us, good tire tread is a must. R all seasons were not living up to their word and losing all confidence we had in them. Plus they were on their last season!

As soon as we picked up R new Sailun ICEBLAZER tires the appointment was made and winter rims were purchased!

Now all we had to wait for was the snow....It’s been a fairly dry season, but we did get a few snow storms to test drive on!

R Little Reviewer C has found a new passion in skating. This past season we have watched her grow and learn. She could skate all day and night if she was given the chance. She is daddy's side kick on the ice. There is something so rewarding as a parent watching them truly enjoy and better a skill.

Daddy and his BOY (1 of 3) learning how to hold a stick. L is still in the difficult stage of learning, but each time he puts on his skates he is getting better. Practice makes perfect!

I had a bit of anxiety sitting down to write this #campmemories post. I never went to an overnight camp during the summer as a child. Or a day camp, either. My summers were playing at home with my little sister, riding my bike, or enjoying the local pool with my friends. I did however; stay over at camp in grade 6 for our graduation trip. My one night there is exactly how I would imagine everyday at summer camp would be. We played capture the flag, learned about nature, ate in a huge dining room, learned how to get out from under a tipped canoe, wore bug hats, and nothing beats a room full of bunk beds and giggling girls. This memory stands strong in my mind, one night, which created so many memories, as an adult I am still enjoying today.

My husband did enjoy camp as a child and teen.There has been numerous times we have been driving and something has triggered these camp memories for him. He attended a camp in Beautiful Muskoka. It's so fun listening to him talk about the games they played, the swimming they did, and the friends he made along the way. Not to mention the cute girl he kept in touch with over the years of camp as a child, creating a "summer love" effect.

R children (5/ 4/ 2/ baby) have not yet enjoyed the public camp experience. But they do enjoy R cottage, and camping during the summer months as a family. We believe the experience is very important as a child and we hope to give them all we can. We have a little controlling issue and are afraid to let go! I know we aren’t the only ones who have fear of sending their child to camp.

So we plan on attending the CAMP EXPO February 26, 2012, 12:00 to 4:00pm, see details below...We will learn how to choose the right camp, meet the camps as vendors. There will be a ‘Safety at Camp’ session where they will de-bunk myths and out dated stereotypes some of us carry in the back our R minds.

2012 is here, and it's getting very PLAYFUL @ R house.

We R Kinder Canada Ambassadors and we R ear to ear in smiles, SIX smiles to be exact. R kids were over the moon in excitement when R first case of Kinder Surprises arrived, OK daddy and I were too! We R more than honored to be working with Mom Central Canada and Kinder Canada, side by side with some amazing bloggers on R new adventure! Starting R year off with a BANG!

March break is around the corner! For us it's nothing more then a typical week. I am blessed to be a SAHM of 4. R oldest is in SK but only part-time. So we enjoy every week pretty much like March Break. Here are a few "Mommy I am bored" ideas I am holding on to for those white winter days! When our yard is covered in a blank white canvas of FUN!

Who says snow needs to be white?

Spraying His Winter Canvas

What you need:

Plastic Spray bottles 3 or 4 (@ least one per child)

Food colouring

Water

Snow as your blank canvas

Fill your bottles with water; add a few drops of food colouring to each bottle.Make a snowman and have some colourful fun, spraying him. Or just spray a rainbow of fun throughout the yard! Open there imaginations, and for only a few dollars, you have a day of fun!

Paper

Juice

White Clean Snow

Straws (optional)

Go where no one has been yet, scoop up some white clean snow in your cups. Top with some juice, and finish with a straw! Enjoy, your slush treat after all your hard playing!

Memories build and inspire children to learn and grow more! A good old fashion day in the snow is a sure way to burn there energy, build memories, and give your wallet a break! When all the playing done, a warm cup of Hot Chocolate, a Kinder surprise, snuggles and a good children’s book tops a prefect winter day!

Milestone [Wordless Hump Day]

It happened so fast, from sounds to books, to writing notes, and now spelling out loud. R C (5) is growing up and we cannot be more proud to watch her take on a new milestone.

I went out with some new friends for dinner, and when I got home this note was on my pillow! Awe.....yes I shed a few tears and ran to her room to snuggle her tight.

When did this all happen?

I am really not sure, but I am embracing her new milestone as a PROUD MAMA would!

Teething Babies sometime cause sleepless nights....

I didn’t know this with R first 3. They all got there first tooth around the 12 month mark. Which just snuck in without notice?!

WOW I can for the first time say I now understand the sleepless night’s babies can cause well teething. The endless amounts of drooling, the need to bite, chomp, and excessive discomfort you can see in their little helpless eyes! The extra snuggles they require, which is always nice.

Valentine’s Day isn’t a big celebration in R home. A nice dinner, snuggles and something chocolaty will do just fine. I believe each day we should take a moment or two to show, or say a simple “I love you”

How can you say “I love you” daily? Here are 29 ways to say “I love you” without actually saying it! A simple touch can mean more then the words them self!

I Challenge you to use one each day in February to show your partner just how much they mean to you.

After your steamy shower, doodle a few words of love on the glass door with a bar of soap

Can he sleep in my bed tonight? (C 5.5)

I love the music he plays, can he sleep with me? (L 4)

3 different children, 3 different ages, all wanted to have a sleepover with the Composer Cat, when he first arrived. I was shocked by the excitement he received from all 3 of them! But should I have been? All 3 have been listening to Eline Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525 since birth. Even still to this day R daughter, who is 5, still enjoys falling to sleep to the Classical Master piece.

The Story was beautifully written, and the illustrations kept the attention of all the children. The kids loved it so much R oldest re-read it to her 2 younger brothers! Remembering the story and retelling her favorite parts!

Mozart Composer Cat is a beautifully illustrated book (with accompanying CD) that tells the story of how Mozart composed his music, in a kid-friendly and light-hearted way. The wonderful musical stuffed toy plays his "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", which my kids loved! While there is a lot of prose on each page, the recommended age is 3+. If you intend to read this book to a younger child, they'll still love the illustrations (as did my 1.5 year old), but maybe only read a line or two from each page so their interest doesn't wane. :)

Me: What was your favorite part in this story C 5.5?
C 5.5: My favorite part of the story was when he found his song that he was looking for. My other favorite part was when the birds were flying in the air singing a song and the cat was scared and there was trees all around him.

Me: What do you like best about Composer Cat?
C 5.5: I like best because he likes to sing, just like I like to sing the piano.

Me: Did you like the pictures in the book?
Yes I liked the pictures in the book. All the different colors and the details.

Me: Did you like the CD it came with?
C 5.5: I liked how it read to us on the CD. And I like the song he plays.

Me: Do you like the song the Composer Cat sings?
C 5.5: It's pretty music when he sings it.

Me: Have you heard his song before?
C 5.5: I heard his song on my brothers and my CD player.

That's the sign the little boy was holding up when Tom Meents gave him the helmet off his head! I bet that was a dream comes true for that little fan!

OK and that’s also my take on trucks! If you don't know me, I love BIG trucks, the bigger the better. Fast cars don’t catch my eye, but a TRUCK sure does! Louder the better! And yes a sweet set of rims and tires sure finishes them off nicely. There is something about trucks that gets my heart beating a bit faster! I love trucks! So when I won tickets for our family through Multi-Testing Mommy blog this week, my family was ~~a wee bit~~ extremely excited!! We've been before, but nothing prepares you for the excitement the sounds the dirt, the 10,000 lbs of POWER!

This year was the first time they ever taped MONSTER JAM in Toronto! And some of the main drivers from the American Circuit were there! Monster Jam is on R T.V a few times a week, with daddy and kids glued to it.

Who say's girl cannot play with the BIG boys? Candice Jolly showed the boys she can drive behind the wheel of her Mutt Dalmatian. Rolling in a 2nd place of the night!

The star of the Freestyle Sunday in Toronto was Avenger, Jim Koehler. He tore up the track, flipped and got all 4 wheels back to rip some more!

Tom Meents , Maximum Destruction, was a favorite among the crowd! Giving his helmet to a little fan, making the crowd go wild!

My favorite George Balhan, Mohawk Warrior. Won the circuit drive of the night! Taking the shirt off his back and making a little fans year!

We had a wonderful time, enjoy a little motor cross, a demo derby, and some ATV racing. There was never a dull moment during the day!

The kids got some pieces they found off the track to bring home and exam. Which we plan on making a board of for show and share!

After the fun filled day, we took 2 little ones home who now have a new dream. To be a brother sister team racing MONSTER JAMS TRUCK! Dreams do come true!

‎4 years ago R first son was born! 9lbs 11oz, rolling 9 hrs after birth. Today he still has the moves

"breaking a beat" every chance he can! He loves jeans and plans to be a future race car driver!

He admirers daddy to know end. And loves to make sure mommy is happy and never feels left

out! His heart is big and filled with love. He is an amazing big brother, helping with the baby, and

teaching Kingston along the way. He loves to make crafts with his sister, and have fun sleepovers

just the 2 of them! He lightens my day and melts my heart with every beat it takes.

HapPY 4th bIRthDaY LINCOLN!!!
