As we know, Sapphire is one of the best manufacturers of the ATI graphics cards. ATI 4870 GPUs always get very hot under heavy load or overclocking ,but in this edition called Sapphire HD4870 Toxic , you can play you games and keep the temperature down thanks to the cooling system " Vapor X". This edition is an overclocked 4870 GPU which running at 780MHz for its core and 1000MHz 4.0Gbps for memory (1GB DDR5) . RAMs problems can't be easily specified because many other hardware problems have the same effect on you PC, but if you have a damaged RAM, you will note that the computer give you a blue screen suddenly and this will occur many times specially if you try to open a big application or game that consumes a large space in RAM.
If you have a copy of Linux operating system on a bootable CD or DVD you may find a memory test program or try to get one from the internet and use it to check your PC's RAM. If you find any errors then try to check each RAM alone if you have more than one,but the faulty one can't be repaired in most cases,so it's recommended to buy RAMs that have a long warranty or a live time warranty like Kingston to make sure that you won't pay more money on such hardware that can be easily damaged by heat.

This problem maybe cause by viruses or an error but if the windows tells you that the computer restarted to de protected from hardware damage or tha there are errors in RAMs you should know that your RAMs are often well and the problem is in a new hardware you have connected to your PC ,but you may say that you didn't connect any new hardware ,then you should make sure that your power supply is working well as it mainly causes this problem.You should also make sure that your DVD/CD ROM is working well as if the mechanical parts of them stopped ,the windows will shut down at once to prevent the damage.

DirectX 10 for windows XP

There is no official version of Microsoft DirectX 10 for windows XP and I searched the web to find any working DirectX 10 for XP but I found that they are all fake except one. I downloaded this program and found that there are many unwanted files come with it and also a song! I deleted them then tried to install the program and it was completed successfully. Then I restarted my computer to view what's the result. It works properly and I tested my computer to view the directx version and I found that it was DirectX 10 and I also test a game to see the change and it was beautiful experience. But WARNING this program add two site to your favorites in you web browser and these sites can install spyware on your computer and one of them called " DirectX 10" and the other called "MA" which mean the Massive Attack web site.

VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro 512MB isn't bad

I found this graphics card " ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro 512MB ( AGP 8X )" on bestbuy site and noticed that many of people have troubles with this card and give it a low ranking , but I decided to buy and test it. It's really a good card and it's too easy to install it and make it work. It gives a high performance and sharp images and can run nearly all games. You can download the driver for this card from the VisionTek web site and it will work easily. I know that it isn't the best graphics card but it will work well. Its core speed is 525Mhz and it has a 512MB DDR2 800Mhz memory and support DirectX 10 and it can be overclock but on your responsibility.It can work with two monitors and has a TV-out port and support ATI Avivo technology.

No one can deny that Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition is the most powerful processor in the world now. It's the fastest processor on the planet as its core speed is 3.2 Ghz without overclocking and it has four cores and each one can make two threads and that make the processor work like it has 8 cores. It's really wonderful , it has 8 Mb of Intel smart cache and 3 Channels of DDR3 1066 MHz memory the will make your PC launch as a rocket! It's mainly designed for ultimate gaming and graphics designing, so many of use really don't need to it as it's very expensive, it will cost you about 1100$ for the processor only.Can you imagine how much the complete pc will cost you?

Panasonic 150 inch PDP is the largest HDTV in the world. Can you imagine playing a video game on this TV? I think the characters of the game will be as tall as you. It will be wonderful experience to play need for speed undercover on this TV. The only thing that will prevent you from doing so is its price. It may cost you from 100000$ to 150000$. AMD or Intel ?

In the field of producing processors, all the manufacturers are disappeared or will do soon ,but Intel and AMD are the only survivors. Most of computer users ask which is the best. No doubt that Intel is no.1 in producing the most powerful processors but AMD processors are also powerful. Inter processors introduce higher processing speed for games and multitasking applications but there are many disadvantages:
- It gives out great heat and that raise the temperature of the processor and decrease its life, and you may need to buy cooling systems which are expensive.
-Intel's processors are very expensive specially the new ones.
-Intel depends on the core speed only and doesn't provide special technologies ( Hyper threading is the only one)

AMD is doing well to introduce unique technologies to enhance performance and to build smart processors. It cares about the power efficiency and its processors are designed to reduce the power needed for operating. It was the first company to build a 64-bit processor and it was the first manufacturer of the multicore processors. Also the prices of the processors are reasonable. You can see this processor to know about AMD technologies. I personally prefer AMD.

Nu SuperMulti Drive , very beautiful external DVD drive but not the best

Some of us need to buy an external DVD drive, but they should search for a beautiful and speedy one. I found this DVD drive that looks like a thing from the space! It's Nu SuperMulti Drive ESW846B .It's really beautiful ,but unfortunately it can't introduce the best performance.It connect to your PC or laptop through a USB cable and use only 7% (maximum) form your processor performance. The only disadvantage of this drive is its reading and writing speed, as it's slower than many other DVD drives but for a standard user, it's a good choice. It also support the LightScribe technology and it doesn't take big roam on your desk as it's thin.
In tests, it took 14min and 20sec to wirte 4.38 GB on a standard DVD R at 8X, and it took 11min and 3.6sec to copy them from the DVD.

Some of us have a trouble when buying a new graphics card from nvidia ,which one they should buy 8800GT , 8800GTS ,8800GTX or 9600GT!
In fact , GeForce 8800GTS (512MB only) is the most powerful graphics card in them. It has the fastest GPU and shader clock and it's really fast. It's slightly better than 8800GTX ,but not better than 8800 Ultra.The only difference between 8800GTS and the 8800GTX is that 8800GTX has a 384-Bit memory interface that makes the data transfer faster but its GPU is slower.
I can arrange these cards from the strongest to the weakest:

Some of NVIDIA graphics cards can be overclocked to increase it speed and to get a higher performance level. I found a program called " EVGA Precision 1.3.2 " that can overclock nvidia graphics cards and monitor the temprature of it. You can download it here. But note that this will work for GeForce 6,7,8,9 and 280 GTX series only and overclocking increases the GPU temperature and sometimes destroy the hardware so you it on your resposibiltiy and I recommend using a very efficient cooling system before overclocking any hardware.

Every one has heard about the power of the new nvidia graphics card - NVIDIA 280 GTX - which is the most expensive graphics card now. Yes, this is a very poweful card which contains 1.4 billion transistors and includes the nvidia PhysX and CUDA technologies, but it's really hard to use it. First, its price is very high and it gives out great heat and you shouldn't buy it if yiu haven't a very efficient cooling system and a big chassis for your computer and a water cooling system is recommended specially to overclock its speed and all that will cost too much in addition to its price. Also you need to use a very powerful processor with high speed and it's recommended to be 3.2Ghz for dual core processor and 3.0Ghz for a quad core one. This card delivers a very high performance but notice that it isn't the fastest one as NVIDIA 9800GTX is faster but 280GTX has more processing streams.But after all that I can say that the best things in this card is the nvidia PhysX and CUDA technologies,the overclocking ability and the high number of shader cores ,but there are big problems you must face if you buy this card.First its high price ,second the very high temperture ( can reach 80'C) ,third it doesn't support direct X 10.1 at all and it doesn't have a DDR5 ram. I see that ATI graphics cards can deliver high performance without these problems.

In some cases when you try to open a multimedia file with Quick Time player,it asks you to put a CD into the CD drive to open that file although it is on the hard disk. The quick solution to this problem is to put any CD into the CD Drive, but the real reason for this problem is that you have added a file that was on a CD or DVD to the favorites menu and for an unknown reason ,the program must check if this file is exist on the CD before opening the file you want open at that moment. So, you should remove the file from the favorites or delete all the favorites by this method: open the folder " Documents and settings " then "All users" then open " Application data " then "Quick Time".
Search for the file " quicktimefavorites.qtr " then delete it. Restart your computer and this problem will completely disappear.

If you have big file or folder which consumes large space of you HDD and you want to upload it to any server ,you will need to use a powerful compression program to decrease its size and I found a perfect one. KGB Archiver can compress file to 15% or less of its original size. It is really wonderful but to do the best compression you should have a large RAMs ,but it can also work with many modes so as to work with little memory. You should try this program and save you disk space.

This is one of the first DDR3 RAMs found in markets and it is really good but won't meet your expectations if you think it will deliver incredible performance. It has the overclocking feature, but trust me, some of DDR2 RAMs can deliver a better performance. I know that its freq. is 1800Mhz but its real performance is normal and moreover its price is very high ( about 425$). It achieved 5430MB/s in memory bandwidth test in SiSoft Sandra and some DDR2 RAMs can achieve higher results. So I advice you not to buy this RAMs if you want a very powerful performance for games and other application.

How to stop windows shutdown process caused by viruses or malware

Some viruses and malware programs try to turn your computer off while you are working on it and give you a message saying that your computer will shut down after 30 second and you can't save what you were doing ,so you should quickly stop the shutdown process to save your work just do the following:

-From start menu choose RUN

-Write "shutdown -a" that means abort shutdown ,then click OK and that will stop the computer shutdown operation .

There are some useful commands that you should know:

-"shutdown" or "shutdown -i" will make the windows log off

-" shutdown -r" means restart.

-" shutdown -f " means turn computer off .

-" shutdown -t xx" that means turn of the computer after xx seconds, and this is the method that some viruses use to shutdown the computer.

-" shutdown -c (message) " this will enable you to give a message to the user when the windows shutdown, write the message between ( ) and it shouldn't contain more than 127 characters.

The worst graphics card I have ever seen

I used deffirent kinds of graphics cards but I found that the worst video cards are always the Intel's ones. These cards are slower than the NVIDIA and ATI cards and they cause many troubles with games and also slow your computer. I tried the AGP cards and also the PCIe cards and found that the Intel graphics cards give bad images in games and the they deliver only 60-70% of the ATI graphics cards performance. Intel used to put its graphics cards on its chipset to force the user to use them but now Intel introduced new chipsets without its graphics cards but at high cost. I advise you NOT to use the Intel's graphics cards as they cause high temperature inside your PC and you will find that the motherboard temperature will reach over 45'C while playing games and you will notice that games run slower than they should. So, the best solution is to use the ATI or NVIDIA graphics cards and disable the Intel one in your PC if it is on your motherboard.

Everyone now must have heard about the powers of the new Google's browser "Chrome" and its high speed in browsing the web specially the feature of multitabbing.
