In a web related Facebook Group I actively participate, there was a discussion on how to make it attractive for people to become entrepreneurs. I actually don’t think anyone needs to make it attractive for others to become entrepreneurs. I don’t think the attractiveness or coolness matters at all. Being an entrepreneur is all about hard work and making money (unless you’re a social entrepreneur who wants to change the world).

You work your ass off to build up something to the point it becomes stable enough so that you can earn steady income or exit and retire young with the cash. Malaysia is a land full of opportunities. If we actually have to make it attractive for people to become entrepreneurs… maybe they should just keep their day jobs.

On the other hand, there are many who are very interested to become entrepreneurs, launch their own startups, etc… and are looking for guidance/support. These are the people worth investing in… either financially, with resources… or knowledge and moral support. Create a good ecosystem / support system so that they can remain on the right track. Pay it forward… earn karma points… or whatever you wanna call it :-)

Recipe is pretty simple:

1. 1kg flour
2. 14g of dry yeast
3. 500ml tepid water
4. 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
5. Salt to taste

Mix everything in a bowl until it comes together, knead it and put it back into the bowl. Cover with a damp towel and leave it to rise.

1 hour minimum, 2 will be better… to get a huge ball of awesome dough.

This amount of dough roughly makes 2 large pizzas or 4 regular pizzas. All you have to do is cut it, knead it again, flatten it (either using a rolling pin or some Italian pizza throwing kungfu), throw generous amount of topping and bake it. Doesn’t take long. Just make sure you start with good quality tomato puree on the base, followed by grated mozarella cheese before throwing on other toppings.

This was the first try after more than a year. Made a few more batches after that. The one with mint was pretty awesome. Will post more photos from my next pizza adventure!

The first 4 matches have been more than exciting… hoping for an explosive Sunday at Anfield. Let’s all hope Reina scores an own goal. That aside, what’s your prediction?

Anyway, didn’t have much time to blog about the West Brom win. We pretty much got the job done there… 3 valuable points, +2 goal difference and topping the league again! That was pretty sweet.

It’s Rooney again!

But the 0-5 trashing of Wolves. Now that’s how we should be playing every weekend now that Valencia is back! Yes this man single-handedly rejuvenated the team with his drive, determination and pace. There’s only so much Rooney can do alone week in, week out. With Valencia back in the team, it’s gonna be an awesome title run.

He’s been trying to be more like Jones recently

Evans with a rare goal. Now I have to say I saw that coming. He’s been pushing forward a lot lately, perhaps inspired by the new boy Jones. Have to say… that was one wicked goal. Valencia has been awesome everywhere on the pitch, had a hand in each goal if I’m not mistaken. Truly deserved his goal on the return. If only we had him for the 2 Athletico matches… sigh.

What a run!

Welbeck did well to pop up with a goal, although he’s not been on top form lately. Nice to see Chicharito with 2 well deserved goals. The only setback is… Rooney didn’t score. Hope his goal run will not stop here and resume again next match day.

Top of the league, 4 points above City… the dream lives on. 20th title? Too early to say? Let’s just BELIEVE.

It started off as a plan to organize a small Twtup to see how many Twitter users we can gather in Sg. Petani… but now, we’ve gained enough momentum to organize a larger scale Twtup. #TwtupKedah, scheduled to be held on 17th March 2012 at Starbucks, Village Mall may have to be moved to a bigger venue to accommodate about 50 participants.

Hopefully in the next couple of days, we can finalize the venue and plan a kick-ass programme to make sure everyone will have a good time. Are you coming? Ashley Young, back from injury… puts up a brilliant show with 2 wonderfully taken goals. Excellent volley for the 1st and a signature Ashley Young curler for the 2nd… but the turning point for me was still this moment…

Mad skills, he just doesn’t show off much nowadays

Wayne Rooney popped up with a wonderful headed goal just before half time… after Spurs had tried really hard to penetrate the other end. This killer blow knocked them down and the 2nd half was pretty much ours although Spurs did mount a decent effort to attack us.

Don’t trust DeGea? Nvm, we have Wayne Rooney

DeGea still doesn’t look like the finished article but he did make some solid saves to deny Spurs. The Defoe goal could’ve been avoided with better defending… c’mon you know he’s gonna shoot from out there. The mistake though was by Giggs who gave away the ball cheaply… but don’t worry, we still love you man!

For the rest of the team, everyone looks solid, especially Jones. This guy is a beast on the pitch. He’s like Wayne Rooney on steroids. If only Nani steps up… and does a Christiano Ronaldo for the remainder of the season, the title is definitely ours.

#OpenCoffeeClub KL is a bi-monthly meetup where people come together for some coffee and casual chat, but not just anyone… this group is specifically meant for startup founders and anyone involved in startups. We see it as a support group for the startup gang to share knowledge, experience, and help each other solve problems. If you’re looking for funding for your startup, this may not be the place to come looking for it but I’m sure we can all sit together and discuss some strategies on where you can start… among other things.

The first meetup was a success with probably about 25-30 people at the Gardens. Today, we’re having our 2nd meetup at Cafe Barbera in Bangsar. If you’re running a startup or in any way involved in one, why don’t you drop by for a chat and meet the gang. We have a bunch of cool people with mad skills.. and you never know, you may even find yourself a co-founder.

Personally I hope this group will grow into something amazing and actively contribute to the “startup scene” in Malaysia. Fingers crossed.

Champ19ns! That’s how we roll…

With football today being all about money and cheating, very few has maintained the kind of integrity and respect that Giggs has on the field. His personal life though has not been that rosy with scandals and stuff but it doesn’t seem like it has affected his performance on the field in any way. Yes he’s not that quick anymore, he doesn’t do those weaving runs that much and he loses possession quite often but he’s still been immense for the team. Some of the one-touch plays, flicks, that cross he put in for Chicharito’s header… and the stoppage time winner today… can sometimes make you forget that he’s THIRTY EIGHT YEARS OLD. Sir Ryan Giggs… that is the only appropriately way to address him.

Now back to the match today, it was definitely a lucky win. Had to come down to one… individual… brilliant… moment. Norwich City totally bossed the field after the first goal from Scholesy. We did have a gazillion chances though but unfortunately it all went to Danny Welbeck who was having an epic fail after epic fail moment today. This fler seems to be able to score from ridiculous angles and half chances but always miss the sitters and tap-ins. Kinda reminds me of Andy Cole haha.

When Norwich scored, I really thought this was going to be another shocking draw… well we haven’t really been putting in those stoppage time winners these days… but man was I glad to see Giggsy make that run, at the right time… perfect moment… to make that absolutely sweeeeeeeet touch… for the winning goal.
