Australia Beat India By 24 Runs in 4th ODI Hero Honda Cup 2009

In Mohali, in front of a massive crowd, India went down to Australia on the 4th ODI of the seven match series Hero Honda Cup 2009. Australia were bowled out for 250 batting first. In reply, India failed to chase it and and were eventually bowled out for 226, making the series now tied at 2-2.

Toss:
Luckily for Dhoni, it went right at the toss. First time in the series he has won the toss. But a surprise decision to bowl first which backfired. Ricky Ponting was happy batting first but was concerned about the dew factor.

Australian Batting:
Shaun Marsh opened the innings after a long time with Shane Watson as it ended to be a failure. Marsh trapped in front by Nehra. Ricky Ponting, who opened the innings the last game was back to his No 3 spot. Shane Watson was going on pretty well as Ricky Ponting, as they put on a 64 run partnership.

Spinners Day:
Harbhajan Singh got the wicket of Shane Watson in his first ball with a beautiful flighted delivery. Watson made 49. In came Cameron White. Michael Hussey was got by Yuvraj Singh's short pitched delivery. Henriques was stumped by Harbhajan Singh. Ravindra Jadeja was keeping things tight.

Run Out Mystery:
Just when things were under control for Australia, Ricky Ponting was run out for 52 when Ravindra Jadeja pulled of a miraculous direct hit from the deep. Cameron White was run out for a well made 62. Manou and Bollinger were other victims of run out.

Australian Score:
Australia scored 250 in 49.2 overs as they were bowled out. Nehra was the pick of the bowlers for India with 3 wickets. Cameron White scored 62 while Watson made 49.

Indian Reply:
It was left to Sehwag and Sachin to give a good start. Sehwag made a flier as he hit Jhonson for boundaries. Eventually he fell to Bollinger for 30. In Gambhir's absence Virat Kohli was promoted to No 3. He played a rash shot to get himself out for 10. It was Yuvraj Singh at No 4.

Sachin Misses World Record:
Sachin Tendulkar was just 7 runs short of 17,000 runs, another milestone he would have loved to achieve. Ashoka Desilva gave a rough LBW decision of Hauritz Bowling.

Batting Collapse:
Run out was the culprit again as Yuvraj Singh was dismissed for 12. Then Dhoni did not last too long as he was caught by Manou of Bollinger. Raina failed to make amends as he was bowled by Hauritz. Ravindra Jadeja was the 6th victim of run outs. Then Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar gave a little scare taking the batting power play. But India were eventually bowled out for 226.

Time Change 2009 Fall and Hence How To Set Your Clocks Back Daylight Saving Time also popularly known as the Summer Time in Britain, was proposed by George Vernon Hudson in 1895. It is the methodology of advancing clocks so that Afternoons have more daylight while the morning doesn't. Clocks are adjusted forward one hour when the spring starts while they are modified backward in the autumn. This time around we are to adjust the clock backwards on November 1 2009.
The next time we advance our clocks on Mar 14 2010, by 1 hour. The 2nd Sunday falls in March. It is usually done on Sundays as it is today on November 1.

Ind defeated Aus in the 3rd ODI of the 7 match series - Hero Honda Cup 2009
With the series squared at 1-1, the two teams were in a must win situation. Then came the King of Punjab and Captain Cool Dhoni for rescue as they shared a partnership of 148 for th 4th wicket. India chased down the target of 230 in 48.2 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Dhoni scored 71 not out. Michael Hussey top scored for Australia with 81 runs.

Unlucky Dhoni:
India's luck of winning tosses were put to an end in this series. Its on the 3rd time on the trot that Ricky Ponting has won the toss. Without hesitation he chose to bat first. Dhoni rarely loses toss, but this time around though, its a different stroy.

Steady Start By Australia:
On a dusty wicket in Firoz Shah Kotla Delhi, runs were hard to come by as Ponting said at the toss that 220 would be a good score. It was evident when the match begun. Australia started pretty well though. Ricky Ponting, opening the batting with Shane Watson put on a 72 run opening stand. Yuvraj Singh broke this partnership when Watson was stumped by Dhoni.

Micheal Hussey Show:
In came Michael Hussey at 3. He has proved time and time again about his consistency and why he has been called Mr.Cricket. Hussey and Ponting took the innings forward when Ponting was trapped in front for the third time in the series and second time against Ravindra Jadeja. He made 59 runs. White went for a duck and other Australian batsman were chipping in at the other end, as Hussey toiled the way through to 229/5 at the end of 50 overs. Hussey scored 81 of 82 balls.

India's Poor Start:
India started off well with Sachin scoring some boundaries early on. Sehwag was struggling as he scored only 11 runs for which he took 25 balls. He was eventually bowled by Mitchel Johnson. Sachin was looking good but then he was run out for 32 in a misjudged run. Gambhir was out bowled by Nathan Hauritz who bowled a ripper of a delivery to dismiss him.

Partnership:
Then it was up to Yuvraj and Dhoni to consolidate. They paced their innings well as they shared the highest 4th wicket partnership for India against Australia in Kotla. Yuvraj scored a brilliant fifty but eventually dismissed by Henriques who made his ODI debut. Yuvi was dismissed for a well mad 78. Dhoni and Raina finished the match as India took a 2-1 lead in the series.

Injury Woes for Australia as they prepare for the 3rd ODI of the seven match series against India in the Hero Honda Cup 2009.
India and Australia fight it out one more time in the 3rd ODI of the seven match series of the Hero Honda Cup 2009. The series is already squared at 1-1. The match is to be played at Delhi, Kotla. The pitches were not up to the mark in the champions league at Kotla. It was evident today that the Aussies missed a practice session on Friday. The Aussies are already suffering a huge blow with Brett Lee and James Hopes out of the 3rd ODI as well. Tim Paine has broken his ring finger as he flew back to Australia. Graham Manou has replaced him. He will arrive in time as the Aussies reported. Mean while Shaun Marsh will replace Tim Paine in the opening slot. Mitchel Johnson suffering an ankle strain however is expected to play in the 3rd ODI despite his discomfort. Lee had not recovered from his elbow problem and James Hopes is still suffering from Hamstring injury.

Narendra Modi attacked by Swine Flu or H1N1

Narendra Modi, the chief minister of Gujarat has been diagnosed Swine Flu or H1N1 as it was renamed. Narendra Modi returned from Russia recently and had reported mild fever which shot up in the evening. He was then diagnosed Swine Flu by the doctors. Initially the doctors tried to hide this news and eventually it was made public.
The chief minister Narendra Modi returned from his three day-visit to Russia on Wednesday. He worked through out Thursday attending his official engagements, despite feeling tired and coughing frequently as reports suggested.
Narendra Modi as everybody knows, has been accused of complicity in Gujarat riots in which around 2000 muslims were killed. He is serving as the chief minister for the third time. Meanwhile Narendra Modi is under medication for one week. He is treated in his own house as all appointments were cancelled.
