Bulletiapa 2021 - Kolkata - IBRMC Megameet

The 2021 edition of Bulletiapa - IBRMC Mega Meet will be organized by Kolkata chapter. We could not organize this event in 2020 due to Cover 19 outbreak and government regulations. However, we are hopeful that in the coming few months, things will be normal and we can reconvene our annual gathering which most of our members were missing.

IBRMC Revamp - From brand cult to an adventure touring club

Change in inevitable, change is for good….

IBR (formerly known as DBR) started as a pure Royal Enfield and Vintage classic motorcycle riders club and since its inception, has gone through multiple changes to stay as one of the best group riding clubs in the country. These changes were primarily focused on how we communicate, how one can become a member, etc., but this time, we are taking an important decision which will bring more value to our club’s thought process and vision - to become a better riding community.

One of the key aspects that was holding most of our existing members to explore more of the motorcycling and touring phenomenon was the limitation of “allowed motorcycles” within IBR. So far, we had restricted membership from Royal Enfield and Jawa motorcycles only; however, effective today, 26th March 2021, we are transitioning from a brand-following cult to a more of an adventure touring club. Following changes and guidelines will provide more insight.

Minimum cubic capacity (cc) - 350cc

Allowed Motorcycles - following categories are now allowed within IBRMC

Adventure Tourer
Sports Tourer
Choppers
General Touring
Cruisers

Motorcycle not allowed

Sports / SBK
Naked
Commuters
Road-illegals

In case your motorcycle make/model does not qualify for membership, the same will be intimated to you during the meet by chapter moderators.

Membership

Online membership - open to all through our Facebook page & groups and Discord server

Regular membership - Restricted. One needs to have an IBRMC membership card to be allowed to participate in official rides and events. However, there will be a few open-invite events where a membership card is not mandatory but will be restricted to those who have attended at least one meet and they should be riding an approved motorcycle. Such cards will contain your name & membership details. Though you can retain this card throughout your membership tenure, it will remain a property of IBRMC.

Details about membership cards will be communicated by the respective chapter moderators during weekly meets. A nominal fee will be collected towards printing and distribution of the membership card. Apart from that, we do not have any other recurring or renewal fees whatsoever.

Riding Protocol

Arrive at shoot point fifteen minutes before scheduled shoot time.
Arrive at shoot point with a full tank of fuel.
Arrive at shoot point with correct tire pressure.
Dress in required riding gear (Including pillion).
Maintain formation and speed as indicated by road captain (lead bike) at all times.
Relay all hand signals as passed down from road captain.
Rider should be fit to operate their motorcycle and not under the influence of any intoxicants.
The rider behind you is your responsibility. Should you lose sight of that rider, alert the rider in front of you and then pull over.
At all times, the rider should operate his motorcycle in a safe and respectful manner towards other motorists and behave in a manner representing IBR.
Do not encourage or engage in any riding that you feel is above your skill set.

May 2020 Updates

There are significant numbers of updates, including new features, that have been adopted in the last 2-3 months. The intent is very clear:

Adopt new features available in social networking
To lessen the burden on the site administrators (development & maintenance) and planning commission members (managing multiple platforms for spreading information)
Improve IBR’s social media presence
Enhance membership experience

Simplified Membership Process

We have simplified the membership process. Now, anyone who wants to join IBR, need to fill up a simple form. We have also integrated our social media handles like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Discord, Youtube, Podcasts, etc. into this registration form. The form will provide clear instructions.

Forum Discontinuation

Our forum has been disconnected and the data has been archived. Access to the forum is restricted to site admin only for reference and to extract old membership details. That said, members who had registered before 1st May 2020 need not register again and your data will be transferred into the new database automatically.For real-time updates and live chats, you can always join IBR Discord server.

Live Chat and Discussion Network

We have launched a new Discord server which anyone can join. There are multiple discussion channels added to our network so segregate discussion topics (similar to how it appeared in our old forum).Planning commission members have access to live voice chat room. We may open a new voice chat room for other members as deemed required.

IBR Podcast Launched

We launched our Podcast channel on 2nd May, 2020 with the first series called “IBRMC Flashback Series”. To know more about this, please click the button below.

Chapter Runner Process

A slight update has been made on chapter runner process as far as how a contender can register and confirm (post-ride). Since we have discontinued the forum, a content will have to submit proofs in a document that can be attached to the confirmation form.
