Based on the 4 Series, this drop-top carries BMW’s bold design language with its oversized kidney grille, sleek LED headlamps and clean rear profile with wraparound taillights. The staggered 19-inch alloy wheels add to its planted, rear-biased stance.

The fabric soft top is quick too—it folds down in just 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h, making it perfect for spontaneous open-air drives.

Step inside and it’s a familiar modern BMW cockpit, with a curved display housing a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. The cabin blends sport and comfort with a flat-bottom steering wheel, powered seats, head-up display and a Harman Kardon sound system.

Unlike conventional voice systems, Gemini understands natural language, context and driver intent. This means users can interact more fluidly—asking follow-up questions without repeating commands. The system can handle tasks like trip planning via Google Maps, suggesting stops along a route, summarising and replying to messages, and controlling media playback through simple conversation.

Volvo says the update is part of its ongoing push to enhance in-car software through over-the-air updates, bringing new features to existing vehicles without requiring hardware changes.

The collaboration also deepens Volvo’s ties with Google, which named the automaker its lead development partner for in-car innovations in 2025.

Spread across 33,000 sq. ft., the new facility will focus on advanced vehicle development, platform engineering, software solutions and sustainable mobility. Located within Pune city limits, it complements the Group’s existing Chakan-based operations, taking the total R&D workforce to over 450 engineers working on both domestic and global projects.

The expansion aligns with the brand’s ‘Make in India, for India and the world’ strategy, enabling faster response to Indian market demands while supporting export programmes.

As part of the global Volkswagen Group R&D network, the Pune centre plays a crucial role as the “Voice of India,” contributing to product development tailored for local and international markets.

Since its inception in 2019, the Technology Centre Pune has been instrumental in developing India-focused models like the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and the recently introduced Kylaq.

Built using a combination of Scania’s CrewCab and S-series high-roof platform, the Longline stands out as a factory-certified extended cab—something Scania claims is currently unmatched by other OEMs.

Production is split across Sweden, with the cab assembled in Laxå and the chassis built in Södertälje. Unlike fully pre-configured sleeper cabins, the Longline is designed as a flexible base. It comes with a standard bed setup along with storage or shelving, while offering defined mounting points for customers to customise the interior as per their needs.

At launch, the Longline will be available in two lengths—28 and 31—both featuring a high roof and over two metres of interior height, allowing occupants to stand comfortably inside.

The extended dimensions are made possible under Europe’s Increased Vehicle Dimensions (IVD) regulations, which permit longer vehicle configurations for improved efficiency and driver comfort.

Priced at ₹1.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new NS400Z benefits from a lower 18% GST slab, making it significantly more accessible. Bajaj claims total savings of up to ₹24,500 when factoring in reduced ex-showroom price, insurance and registration costs.

Despite the shift, performance remains a strong suit. The liquid-cooled engine delivers a power-to-weight ratio of 247 PS per tonne, keeping the NS400Z firmly in the high-performance bracket.

Built in Wolfsburg, the ID. Polo marks the debut of Volkswagen’s new Pure Positive design language and sits on the updated MEB+ platform. The EV will be offered with three power outputs—85 kW, 99 kW and 155 kW—paired with two battery options.

In terms of size, the ID. Polo measures 4,053 mm in length with a 2,600 mm wheelbase, offering improved practicality with 441 litres of boot space—about 25% more than the ICE Polo.

Inside, the hatch comes loaded with a 10-inch Digital Cockpit, a 13-inch infotainment system and one-pedal driving. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality up to 3.6 kW, letting users power external devices.

Pre-sales have already begun in Germany, with the launch-spec ID. Polo Life priced at €33,795, while more affordable variants will follow later this year.

The biggest highlight of the update is the addition of new features to the entry and mid variants, making the Triber’s practicality and usability more accessible to a wider audience. Inside, the cabin gets a refreshed dual-tone dashboard along with a floating 20.32 cm touchscreen, enhancing the overall in-cabin experience.

Practicality remains a strong suit. The second-row seats can now fold completely, unlocking up to 1,065 litres of boot space—making it even more versatile for family use and long trips.

Under the hood, the Triber continues with its 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual across all variants, along with an automatic option offered on the top-spec trim.

With over 2 lakh customers already, the Triber remains a key product in Renault’s India portfolio, and this update aims to further strengthen its appeal in the budget MPV segment.

The biggest update is the inclusion of driver monitoring as standard across the range. The entry-level Prime-Line variant now feels better equipped too, offering heated front seats, a height-adjustable passenger seat, rear power windows, an auto-dimming IRVM and an upgraded audio system.

Cosmetic tweaks include body-coloured mirror caps on lower trims, while higher-spec Homura variants retain black detailing for a sportier look. The range also gains three new shades: Charcoal Grey, Sky Grey and Fern Green.

Move up the lineup, and the Exclusive-Line now gets full LED lighting, while the Homura and Homura Plus trims add gloss black interior accents for a more premium cabin feel.

Under the hood, the Mazda2 Hybrid continues with its 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 116 PS. This self-charging hybrid setup doesn’t require external charging and delivers a 0–100 km/h time of 9.7 seconds, with a top speed of 175 km/h.

Efficiency remains a strong point, with fuel consumption rated between 3.7–4.2 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions ranging from 85–96 g/km, depending on the variant.

Production began in March 2026, and the updated model is now reaching European showrooms.

This marks a significant step, as the system is part of what Nexteer claims to be the world’s first production passenger vehicle with a fully drive-by-wire chassis—eliminating traditional mechanical connections for steering, braking, and throttle.

Steer-by-wire replaces the physical link between the steering wheel and front wheels with electronic signals and actuators, removing the need for a steering column altogether. This technology is seen as a key enabler for next-generation intelligent platforms and higher levels of autonomous driving.

Nexteer’s system meets the highest safety standards, achieving ASIL D certification under ISO 26262, validated by Germany’s DAkkS accreditation body. The setup uses dual controllers, dual power supplies, and redundant communication and actuation paths, ensuring backup systems can take over within milliseconds in case of failure.

The system also offers an adjustable steering ratio based on speed and drive mode, along with software-defined road feel and compatibility with ADAS and automated driving systems.

Part of Nexteer’s broader Motion-by-Wire ecosystem, the technology signals a major shift toward fully electronic vehicle control systems.

Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the biggest update is the new 84 kWh battery pack, replacing the earlier 72.6 kWh unit. This upgrade boosts the ARAI-certified range to an impressive 690 km, enhancing its long-distance usability.

On the outside, the Ioniq 5 gets refreshed front and rear bumpers with skid plates, a redesigned rear spoiler, updated LED headlamps, and new alloy wheels, giving it a sharper stance.

Inside, the cabin sees meaningful upgrades, including a new 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with interactive pixel lighting and heating. The dual 12.3-inch displays remain, while the wireless charging pad has been redesigned with integrated controls for heated and ventilated seats.

Tech additions include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Hyundai’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, over-the-air updates, and a new in-car payment system for EV charging. It also gets features like active sound design and remote immobilisation via Bluelink.

Safety has been enhanced with features such as Parking Collision Avoidance Assist (Rear) and Parking Distance Warning (Side).

The updated Ioniq 5 is available in four colour options—Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey, and Optic White.

The JCW Pack adds a sportier edge to the Convertible, with exterior options including Legend Grey and Midnight Black, complemented by contrasting mirror caps and racing stripes. Visual upgrades include a redesigned grille, aggressive bumpers, side skirts, door sills, and black 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin gets a proper John Cooper Works treatment with a JCW sport steering wheel featuring paddle shifters, sport seats, and an Anthracite headliner. Tech-wise, the car packs a high-resolution OLED touchscreen running Mini Operating System 9, along with a head-up display, Harman Kardon audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the Convertible JCW Pack is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 300 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Mini claims a 0–100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h.

The eVTOL aircraft operated between John F. Kennedy International Airport and key heliports across Manhattan, including Downtown Skyport and facilities at West 30th Street and East 34th Street. These routes are expected to form the backbone of Joby’s future commercial operations.

The highlight? Travel time. Joby claims the journey from JFK to Manhattan was completed in under 10 minutes—dramatically quicker than the typical 60 to 120 minutes by road.

Inspired by the iconic Porsche 911, the Cayenne Coupé Electric features a sloping roofline and improved aerodynamics, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.23—lower than the standard SUV. This helps extend its range to a claimed 669 km.

Performance is where things get wild. The range-topping Turbo variant produces up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) with overboost, launching from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The lineup starts with a 300 kW base model, followed by the S variant with 400 kW, while overboost figures climb to 325 kW, 490 kW, and 850 kW respectively, under Launch Control.

Built on an advanced 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne Coupé Electric supports ultra-fast DC charging at up to 390 kW (up to 400 kW under optimal conditions), while AC charging is rated at 11 kW as standard and 22 kW optional.

The Coupé sits 24 mm lower than the standard Cayenne while retaining the same footprint. Buyers can also opt for a Lightweight Sport package, shaving up to 17.6 kg through the use of a carbon roof and 22-inch wheels.

The E7X is a full-size electric SUV, measuring 5,049 mm in length with a 3,060 mm wheelbase. It will be offered with power outputs of up to 500 kW, paired with a 109 kWh battery delivering a claimed range of over 750 km (CLTC). The SUV also features quattro all-wheel drive and a massive 21.4-inch deployable rear display, underlining its tech-forward focus.

Alongside the E7X, Audi also showcased the Audi A6L e-tron—its first fully electric upper mid-size sedan for China. Built on a wheelbase extended by 132 mm, the A6L e-tron offers a claimed range of up to 815 km (CLTC), powered by a battery pack of up to 107 kWh.

Rounding off the lineup was the updated Audi A6L with a combustion engine. This version gets a 140 mm longer wheelbase compared to the global model and delivers up to 270 kW of power.

The Ioniq V is part of Hyundai’s aggressive new strategy to roll out 20 models in China over the next five years, in partnership with BAIC Group.
