The latest alpha release of the browser allows the user to switch between any of these engines during browsing. So instead of juggling between different browsers, in case some of the websites don't work with your preferred browser, you can use Lunascape.

Lunascape has the looks of IE but with extra buttons thrown everywhere giving it a cluttered look. Nonetheless, feature wise it looks pretty good. There are plenty of features which you would expect in any modern browser. Some of the extra stuff that I noticed are a screenshot utility, bookmarklets and scripts. The bookmarklets are quite interesting. There are tons of them that can be used to perform tasks like showing passwords behind asterix, highlighting links, viewing HTTP headers, zooming into images, disabling CSS or DIVs and a bunch of other geeky stuff. The status bar gives quick access to certain controls like disabling videos, JavaScript, working offline etc. Lunascape also supports addons and skins.

I think the ability to use Gecko or Webkit engines while having the familiar IE feel is a good plus point. Users who arent able to let go IE should give this one a try.

[Download from softpedia]

Add Comments

indianhippy.com

After seeing America's reaction after they officially elected Obama as president, I asked this question to me self. Sadly the answer I could think of is a big 'NO' deffenatly not in the near future.First of all our electoral system will not allow us to elect an individual to be elected as head of the state, instead we have to choose a party and then the party will choose "person" and installs him as head of the state. But still the person will not be having much choice to implement his/her ideas becase he is in debt to his party and need to take care of it, also alias who gaveoutside support to his governament. Every day in office he/she will struggle to fulfill riduculas dempads coming from his own party and alias parties, the problems not ending there. In India we never havea oppsition party which can think in constructive manor and work for the good of people. The only thing any opposition will do is to simply oppose what ever the decision made by the governament(except for the parlamentarion's salary hike. I never heard any oppsition on that forget about communists they just know the word NO for anything and everything). How many times you heard in India oppsition voted for a bill introduced by the ruling party or its member.

When can we get a Obama like figure as India's head of starte? First let me give my view on Obama, he is intelleigent and can inspire people. Inspiring people in our country is more imporatant than doing something to them.Just look at the the voting percentage numbers in US, I just cannot imaging those numbers beeing registered in Indian election process. The simple reason I can think of is here we people belive in hating andcursing politics is as the cool thing. Most of the people also think that those who are into politics and support and talk about poltics are useless and stupids. If this kind of impression is not going to change on politics in India its very highly improbable to see any Obama like figure coming up in politics.

Add Comments

A very nice poem

This poem was nominated for the best poem for 2005.
Written by an African kid

When I born, I black.
When I grow up, I black.
When I go in sun, I black.
When I scared, I black.
When I sick, I black.
And when I die, I still black.
And you white fella
When you born, you pink.
When you grow up, you white.
When you go in sun, you red.
When you cold, you blue.
When you scared, you yellow.
When you sick, you green.
And when you die, you grey
And you calling me colored ??

Add Comments

HINDU FUNDAMENTALISM: DOES IT REALLY EXIST?

by Dr. David Frawley published on http://www.angelfire.com/

Fundamentalism is an easily discernible phenomenon in belief-oriented religions like Christianity and Islam which have a simple and exclusive pattern to their faith. They generally insist that there is only One God, who has only one Son or final Prophet, and only one true scripture. They hold that belief in this One God and his chief representative brings salvation in an eternal heaven, and disbelief causes condemnation to an eternal hell. Muslims daily chant "there is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet. " Most Christians recognize belief in Christ as one's personal savior as the only true way to salvation.

Fundamentalists are literalists in these traditions who hold rigidly to their beliefs and insist that since their religion alone is true that other religions should not be tolerated, particularly in the lands where members of their religion are in a majority. Fundamentalists also generally hold to their religion's older social customs, and refuse to integrate into the broader stream of modern society which recognizes the freedom of belief.

Fundamentalism can usually be discriminated from orthodoxy. Orthodox Muslims and Christians generally tolerate those of other religious beliefs, though they may not agree with them. The orthodox are usually not involved in the militancy and social backwardness of fundamentalist groups. They usually have no trouble functioning in modern society. However the orthodox may keep to themselves in matters of religion and may still regard that their's is the only true religion. While the news media of the Western World, and even of India, speaks of Hindu fundamentalism, no one appears to have really defined what it is. Is there a Hindu fundamentalism comparable to Islamic and Christian fundamentalism? Using such a term merely assumes that there is, but what is the evidence for it? Are there Hindu beliefs of the same order as the absolute beliefs of fundamentalist Christianity and Islam? It is questionable whether fundamentalism, as it is usually defined relative to Christianity and Islam, can exist at all in the more open and diverse religious tradition of Hinduism which has many names and forms for God, many great teachers and incarnations, many sacred books, and a pursuit of Self-realization which does not recognize the existence of any eternal heaven or hell. There is no monolithic faith called Hinduism with a set system of beliefs which all Hindus must follow that can be turned into fundamentalism.

Fundamentalist groups insist that their's is the only true God and that all other Gods or names of God are wrong. Islamic fundamentalists insist that the only God is Allah, and will not accept Hindu names for God like Brahman or Ishvara, even though these mean pretty much the same thing. Christian fundamentalists will not accept Allah or Brahman as names for God as they conceive Him to be. Hindus with their many names and forms for God don't mind accepting the Christian name God or even Islamic Allah as referring to the same reality. A belief in God is not even necessary to be a Hindu, as such non-theistic Hindu systems as Sankhya reveal. For those who are speaking of Hindu fundamentalism, we must ask the question: What One God do Hindu fundamentalist groups insist upon is the only true God and which Gods are they claiming are false except for Him?

Islamic fundamentalists consider that Islam is the only true religion, that no true new faith can be established after Islam and that with the advent of Islam all previous faiths became outdated. Christian fundamentalists hold that Christianity alone is true, and that Islam and Hinduism are religions of the devil. Even orthodox people in these traditions may hold these views to some degree.

Hindus are not of one faith only. They are divided up into Shaivites, Vaishnavas, Shaktas, Smartas and a number of other groups which are constantly being revised relative to modern gurus. Those called Hindu fundamentalists are also divided up into these different sects. What common belief can be found in these Hindu groups which can be called Hindu fundamentalism? What common Hindu fundamentalist platform do the different sects of Hinduism share? Is it a Shaivite or Vaishnava fundamentalism, and how do such groups maintain their harmony and identity under the Hindu fundamentalist banner? While one can make a code of belief for Christian or Islamic fundamentalism, what code of belief applies to Hindu fundamentalism of all different sects?

No Hindus - including so-called Hindu fundamentalists - insist that there is only one true faith called Hinduism and that all other faiths are false. Hinduism contains too much plurality to allow for that. Its tendency is to not to coalesce into a fanatic unity like the fundamentalists of other religions, but to disperse into its various diverse components and fail to arrive at any common action, historically even one of self-defense against foreign invaders.

Fundamentalist groups insist upon belief in the literal truth of one book as the Word of God, which they base their behavior on. Muslim fundamentalists insist that the Koran is the Word of God and that all necessary knowledge is contained in it. Christian fundamentalists say the same thing of the Bible. Again even orthodox or ordinary Muslims and Christians, not only fundamentalists, may believe this to some degree. Hindus have many holy books like the Vedas, Agamas, Gita, Ramayana and so on, which contain a great variety of teachings and many different points of view and no one of these books is required reading for all Hindus. Hindus generally respect the holy books of other religions as well. What single holy book do Hindu fundamentalists hold literally to be the word of God, which they base their behavior upon? Christian and Islamic fundamentalists flout their holy book and are ever quoting from it to justify their actions and their beliefs. What Hindu Bible are the Hindu fundamentalists all carrying, quoting and preaching from and find justification in?

Fundamentalist groups are often involved in conversion activity wherein they are seeking to get other people to adopt their beliefs. They frequently promote missionary efforts throughout the world to bring the entire world to their views. This again is true of many ordinary or orthodox Muslims and Christians. Fundamentalists are merely more vehement in their practices. What missionary activities are Hindu fundamentalists promoting throughout the world? What missions in other countries have Hindu fundamentalists set up to convert Christians, Muslims or those of other beliefs to the only true religion called Hinduism? What Hindus are motivated by a missionary spirit to discredit people of other religious beliefs in order to convert and save them?

Add Comments

What kind of journalism is this?

This is the photograph I have taken from eenadu news paper dated on 30/06/2008. Did you see the way photographers are pursuing a injured person in a hospital? Is this journalism? Now a days I am scared of news channels and the way they are showing the dead and injured people, I stopped watching news especially when I want to eat. When ever I see a news channel and the way they are presenting a news, I remember those sweet old days of 15 min regional news and 30 min national news in DD and the way they used present the news( always with the same grim expression :) ). Going forward we may also need to child lock news channels for the sake of avoiding any ill effects on our kids.

I support for putting some kind of regulations and monitoring on the news media, as their content is getting degraded inversely proportional with the money they are making by presenting them. I know immediately after reading the above sentence people will start screaming about democracy and freedom of speech, but think about this any kind of freedom will come with some responsibility and certain limits. In my opinion media crossed all its limits and their only purpose become making money out of peoples agony and their weakness. Most of the news media people only talk about social responsibilityand the awareness they are bringing to people, which is a big joke. Now a days I could not find any more difference between alcoholism and news addiction, you may feel I am exaggerating the situation but look around you, I am sure you feel the same.

Add Comments

indianhippy.com

IndianHippy

The next Internet

by Vint Cerf, Chief Internet Evangelist on Google's Official Blog

Historically, the Internet has been all about connectivity between computers and among people. The World Wide Web opened enormous opportunities and motivations for the injection of content into the Internet, and search engines, such as Google's, provided a way for people to find the right content for their interests. Of course, the Internet continues to develop: new devices will find their way onto the net and new ways to access it will evolve.

In the next decade, around 70% of the human population will have fixed or mobile access to the Internet at increasingly high speeds, up to gigabits per second. We can reliably expect that mobile devices will become a major component of the Internet, as will appliances and sensors of all kinds. Many of the things on the Internet, whether mobile or fixed, will know where they are, both geographically and logically. As you enter a hotel room, your mobile will be told its precise location including room number. When you turn your laptop on, it will learn this information as well--either from the mobile or from the room itself. It will be normal for devices, when activated, to discover what other devices are in the neighborhood, so your mobile will discover that it has a high resolution display available in what was once called a television set. If you wish, your mobile will remember where you have been and will keep track of RFID-labeled objects such as your briefcase, car keys and glasses. "Where are my glasses?" you will ask. "You were last within RFID reach of them while in the living room," your mobile or laptop will say.

The Internet will transform the video medium as well. From its largely programmed, scheduled and streamed delivery today, video will become an interactive medium in which the choice of content and advertising will be under consumer control. Product placement will become an opportunity for viewers to click on items of interest in the field of view to learn more about them including but not limited to commercial information. Hyperlinks will associate the racing scene in Star Wars I with the chariot race in Ben Hur. Conventional videoconferencing will be augmented by remotely controlled robots with an ability to move around, focus cameras and microphones, and perhaps even directly interact with the local environment under user control.

The Internet will also become more closely integrated with other parts of our daily lives, and it will change them accordingly. Power distribution grids, for example, will become a part of the Internet's information universe. We will be able to track and manage electrical power demand and our automobiles will participate in the generation as well as the consumption of electricity. By sharing information through the Internet about energy-consuming and energy-producing devices and systems, we will be able to make them more efficient.

A box of washing machine soap will become part of a service as Internet-enabled washing machines are managed by Web-based services that can configure and activate your washing machine. Scientific measurements and experimental results will be blogged and automatically entered into common data archives to facilitate the distribution, sharing and reproduction of experimental results. One might even imagine that scientific instruments could generate their own data blogs.

These are but a few examples of the way in which the Internet will continue to surround and serve us in the future. The flexibility we have seen in the Internet is a consequence of one simple observation: the Internet is essentially a software artifact. As we have learned in the past several decades, software is an endless frontier. There is no limit to what can be programmed. If we can imagine it, there's a good chance it can be programmed. The Internet of the future will be suffused with software, information, data archives, and populated with devices, appliances, and people who are interacting with and through this rich fabric.

And Google will be there, helping to make sense of it all, helping to organize and make everything accessible and useful.

Add Comments

The future of mobile Phone

by Andy Rubin, Engineering Director on Google's Official Blog

The Internet has had an enormous impact on people's lives around the world in the ten years since Google's founding. It has changed politics, entertainment, culture, business, health care, the environment and just about every other topic you can think of. Which got us to thinking, what's going to happen in the next ten years? How will this phenomenal technology evolve, how will we adapt, and (more importantly) how will it adapt to us? We asked ten of our top experts this very question, and during September (our 10th anniversary month) we are presenting their responses. As computer scientist Alan Kay has famously observed, the best way to predict the future is to invent it, so we will be doing our best to make good on our experts' words every day. - Karen Wickre and Alan Eagle, series editorsThere are currently about 3.2 billion mobile subscribers in the world, and that number is expected to grow by at least a billion in the next few years. Today, mobile phones are more prevalent than cars (about 800 million registered vehicles in the world) and credit cards (only 1.4 billion of those). While it took 100 years for landline phones to spread to more than 80% of the countries in the world, their wireless descendants did it in 16. And fewer teens are wearing watches now because they use their phones to tell time instead (somewhere Chester Gould is wondering how he got it backwards). So it's safe to say that the mobile phone may be the most prolific consumer product ever invented. However, have you ever considered just exactly how powerful these ubiquitous devices are? The phone that you have in your pocket, pack, or handbag is probably ten times more powerful than the PC you had on your desk only 8 or 9 years ago (assuming you even had a PC; most mobile users never have). It has a range of sensors that would do a martian lander proud: a clock, power sensor (how low is that battery?), thermometer (because batteries charge poorly at low temperatures), and light meter (to determine screen backlighting) on the more basic phones; a location sensor, accelerometer (detects vector and velocity of motion), and maybe even a compass on more advanced ones. And most importantly, it is by its very nature always connected.Project out these trends another ten years. You will be carrying with you, 24x7 (a recent study of Chinese mobile customers showed that the majority of them sleep within a meter of their phones), a very powerful, always connected, sensor-rich device. And the cool thing is, so will everyone else. So what are you going to do with it that you aren't doing now? Here are some possibilities:

Smart alerts: Your phone will be smart about your situation and alert you when something needs your attention. This is already happening today -- eBay can text you when you've been outbid, and alert services (such as Google News) can deliver news, sports, or stock updates to you. In the future these applications will get smarter, patiently monitoring your personalized preferences (which will be stored in the network cloud) and delivering only the information you desire. One very useful scenario: your phone knows that you are heading downtown for dinner, and alerts you of transit conditions or the best places to park.

Augmented reality: Your phone uses its arsenal of sensors to understand your situation and provide you information that might be useful. For example, do you really want to know how much is that doggy in the window? Your phone, with its GPS and compass, knows what you are looking at, so it can tell you before you even ask. Plus, what breed it is and the best way to train him.

Crowd sourcing goes mainstream: Your phone is your omnipresent microphone to the world, a way to publish pictures, emails, texts, Twitters, and blog entries. When everyone else is doing the same, you have a world where people from every corner of the planet are covering their experiences in real-time. That massive amount of content gets archived, sorted, and re-deployed to other people in new and interesting ways. Ask the web for the most interesting sites in your vicinity, and your phone shows you reviews and pictures that people have uploaded of nearby attractions. Like what you see? It will send you directions on how to get there.

Sensors everywhere: Your phone knows a lot about the world around you. If you take that intelligence and combine it in the cloud with that of every other phone, we have an incredible snapshot of what is going on in the world right now. Weather updates can be based on not hundreds of sensors, but hundreds of millions. Traffic reports can be based not on helicopters and road sensors, but on the density, speed, and direction of the phones (and people) stuck in the traffic jams.

Tool for development: Your phone may be more than just a convenience, it may be your livelihood. Already, this is true for people in many parts of the world: in southern India, fishermen use text messaging to find the best markets for their daily catch, in South Africa, sugar farmers can receive text messages advising them on how much to irrigate their crops, and throughout sub-Saharan Africa entrepreneurs with mobile phones become phone operators, bringing communications to their villages. These innovations will only increase in the future, as mobile phones become the linchpin for greater economic development.

The future-proof device: Your phone will open up, as the Internet already has, so it will be easy for developers to create or improve applications and content. The ones that you care about get automatically installed on your phone. Let's say you have a piece of software on your phone to improve power management (and therefore battery life). Let's say a developer makes an improvement to the software. The update gets automatically installed on your phone, without you lifting a finger. Your phone actually gets better over time.

Safer software through trust and verification: Your phone will provide tools and information to empower you to decide what to download, what to see, and what to share. Trust is the most important currency in the always connected world, and your phone will help you stay in control of your information. You may choose to share nothing at all (the default mode), or just share certain things with certain people -- your circle of trusted friends and family. You'll make these decisions based on information you get from the service and software providers, and the collective ratings of the community as well. Your phone is like your trusted valet: it knows a lot about you, and won't disclose an iota of it without your OK.Now, if we can just train it to do your laundry ...

Add Comments

Electronic Paper(e-paper)

You might have heard of E-Paper, which is a comingup technology. Basically E-Paper is a display technology designed to mimic the appearance of ordinary ink on paper. In market there are few implimations of E-Paper concept like Sony's ePaper Book Reader. I feel this device is just the first step, here I am just trying to pridict the possibilities. You might have seen the movie named Minority Report that movie shows a E-paper which looks very much like a normal news paper and connected to Wi-Fi or bluetooth network to update the news. Isn't wondraful, to have a device like that in our hands to read porsanalized RSS news feeds, mails and books hell what not? we can do everything what we are doing now on our bulky laptops, but the difference is you can just fold it and keep it in pocket just like any other paper. With this technoligy the bulky books will be replaced with a small flash based memory chip, which can be red by a reader in your pocket and wirelessly transfer the data to the E-paper you are holding in your hands. This may look like crazy and fiction, but with emerging technologies like nanotech. One more good news is you may never have to buy a news paper once this technology comes to existence because I bet all the news paper vendors are ready provide you news feeds for free. On the other hand just imagine how much paper you are saving, which is directly implies to greener earth.

Add Comments

indianhippy.com

IndianHippy

The 3 mistakes of my life Book Review
        Not a Joy Read **

This latest book by Mr. Chetan Bhagat is more of a Hindi movie script than a book. Somehow I felt like, after his first book "Five point some one" he lost charm for creating stories. For a book freak like me it took more than 2 weeks to finish this book, then also I finished this just for the heck of finishing it. Though I should appreciate the author for his writing style and for not missing a beat while telling what ever he want to tell the reader. The plat of the book is so filmy and typical formula based that you will feel like shutting it and watch a Hindi movie in one of the many movie channels. I think he wrote this book to popularize it on his now well established name and then sell it as a movie script, and I think he might even have thought of cast.

indianhippy.com

IndianHippy

Statusbar stopwatch a Firefox extention

This is a firefox extention, which adds a stopwatch on the status bar of your browser. Its fast and easy to use with very usful built in browser. You can download this from RSSOwl official site.

How to add Google Gadget to your website?

The simple way to do this is to go to google gadget page and follow the steps. It has complete UI based gadget configuration, you just need to place the generated code in your webpage. If you try to install them you will see version compatibility error. There is a simple way to resolve this compatibility issue. Download the add-on by clicking “save as” in browser context menu, the downloaded file is with xpi file. Open the xpi file using winzip and find install.rdf file(no need to extract the zip file) and open it in any text editor. Search for “{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}” which is firefox id and for thunderbird “{3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6}” . RDF file is xml file under the id you should see

<em:minVersion>1.5<//em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion>2.0.0.*</em:maxVersion>

Change the maxVersion value to the version you are using. If you are using firefox 3 beta then the maxVersion should be 3.0b3 (remember from firefox three versioning has changed now on its going to x.0 only instead of x.0.0).

Tip #3:Using Firefox with multiple Profiles

What is a profile? Its the place(folder) where firefox stores bookmarks, extensions, history etc. details. On windows OS the default location of profile folder is C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\k450b1oj.default.

How to create a new profiles and managing them? Execute the command "firefox -P" which will show a dialog box to create and manage profiles. After creating profiles we can create icons of these firefox by making target as "firefox -P -no-remote".

Tip #2:How to uninstall Windows Desktop Search?

Yes, there is no direct option to uninstall windows desktop search, which is competitors for Google desktop search. So I tried to uninstall to save some space and indexing cycles, but to my surprise there is no direct way to uninstall it, its not existing in controlpanel-> add or remove programs. I googled and found the below given command and it worked on my XP(SP2). Thread safety is usually not necessary with StringBuffer, since it is seldom shared between threads. When Strings are added using the + operator, the compiler in J2SE 5.0 and Java SE 6 will automatically use StringBuilder. If StringBuffer is hard-coded, this optimization will not occur.

indianhippy.com

IndianHippy

Is India really a democracy?

When ever people call India a democracy, I ask my self is it really one. Ours is a country ruled by a family for more than 40 years and looking at present political circumstances we will be ruled by same family at least for one more generation. Its just not the situation at the union level, its the case of more than half of the states in India(AP, Tamilnadu, Panjab, Orissa, Rajastan and many more). We are so used to this, that we are not even recognizing this evil and silently accepting it as part of the system, with out registering any protest.

The next major problem with our so called "democracy" is small parties, in my opinion parties with less than 50 seats are small parties and just holding every government to ransom in this era of coalitions. These regional parties are questioning the integrity of the nation by always talking about their own benefits and some how every one wants to give out side support. The solutions I can think of are either restrict our political spectrum to 2 parties like in US and UK system but this is almost impossible or making it mandatory for a government to stay in power once they prove their eligibility. Yes I agree that is dangerous, so we should have a call back mechanism which allows people to vote again.

Talking about freedom in democracy, we should also talk about the responsibilities it brings with the freedom. I have a feeling that we are enjoying the freedom to full extent but not even acknowledging the responsibilities. The perfect example is the regional/national small political parties which are pulling/threatening to pull the support for no significant reason and holding national growth for their individual ambitions and age old ideology. Its common knowledge that with out responsibility we can enjoy freedom or can't sustain in this globalized world.

Add Comments

Learn from "Karzai threatens to send troops to fight Pak militants"

After reading this article I asked my self one question, why can not our Indian government do the same. I think we too have the right of self defense, every time there is an attack on our soil we blame it on "foreign country" and start pleading Pakistan to stop sending disguised Pak troops and trained militants into Kashmir and other parts of the country. Then we run to USA/UN and beg them to intervene to stop Pakistan sponsored terrorism. Don't we have the guts to teach them a lesson. what are we afraid of? Our politicians are taking more care for Pakistan's well being than our own and they don't want to make any decisions against our enemy because that may hurt the feelings of bunch crooks living in this nation(I am not blaming a community, just the individuals who are crooks). We always send our cricket team to them and invite them to play here. We are trying to befriend a nation which attacked ours and killed our soldiers and caused deaths of thousands of innocent people in Kashmir and other part of our beloved nation.

No, don't come to conclusions and start lecture me on peace and its importance for our nation's development etc. I am peace loving person and well aware consequences of a war, but there should be always a limit for everything. Every time there is a new government or a new military ruler in Pakistan they will start their regime with anti-Indian statements and Kashmir issue. Then they will attack our border just to confirm/inform they are not going to be India's friends, this is just to gain the confidence of Pakistan's people. India should make its stand very clear for Pakistan and the global community and try to resolve the issue and end it.

Add Comments

Chiranjeevi's political party

Now it is much clear that the mega star of Telugu film industry is starting his political party and contesting next election with a hope of becoming next chief-minister of Andhrapradesh. But the question is whether he will become chief minister or not, any prediction at this point is pure imagination and not based on any facts. As per my understanding he is ambitious and with good intention of bringing some good to the people, may be he want to give back all the affection he is getting from people. But he is no NTR to form a government in 9 months time after starting a party, when TDP was started there was no real alternative for Congress except bunch of red flag carrying parties. Today's political situation is much different with 5 major parties and every party is trying to make their stand clear on separate Telangana state issue. Once chiranjeevi's party is announced, we like it or not caste based politics are going to be more clear as major parties will be representing three major castes in AP.

As a result of this new political party we are going to see a guaranteed hung assembly in next elections. Looking at different states run by hung assemblies, its no good for state and its brings more bad than good and often brings forced midterm elections. As we are living in largest democracy (yes, we call it democracy not sure if our political system which allowed a family to rule this nation for 40+ years, really satisfies the definition of democracy) we can not stop any one from what they are doing and need learn with the system. So be ready for a hung assembly in AP for the first time and all its side effects.

Add Comments

Shameless Indian media

http://ibnlive.com/news/aarushi-victim-of-slander--cops-sieze-aarushis-pc/65976-3.html “Investigating officers even named Aarushi's fellow student, without having any concrete evidence of the nature of his involvement in the case.”

After reading the above given article, I felt that media continuing its habit of blaming others for its own wrongdoing. I remember, news channels portraying the murdered girl’s friend/classmate as prime suspect by showing some circled school group photo repeatedly. They never thought what kind trauma they are causing to that kid and his family, I don’t blame police for this, because they are just doing their job to find the culprit by asking some questions around to gather information. But media is making him a criminal purely based on speculation by quoting their unnamed sources. What kind of stupidity is this? What kind of benefit they are getting from this, ad money? They don’t have any concern about anything, and they shallowly talk about their social responsibility and the good they are doing for this nation and its people.

What kind of good they are talking about? If they say what they are doing is good then I don’t think we need that kind of favor from them. I always feel we were better in old days of 1 hr dooradarshan news. Now media has changed the meaning of “breaking news” by overdoing it (just 24 hr a day) and at the verge of loosing their credibility, simplest example could be the exit poll results of Karnataka and the actual out come. I am a strong supporter for imposing some kind of regulations on media. Freedom of expression doesn’t mean, they can victimize individuals and make false acquisitions and never admit their mistakes and can’t even say a simple sorry to those suffered. At least I never heard them admitting their mistakes.

They all are clearly biased and they shamelessly support one or other political party or a person, even they accept rewards for supporting (remember recent padma award for a news channel owner).

Add Comments

Rajiv's Name to an IIM

Recently I have seen a "breaking news" that now an IIM is called after late Rajiv Gandhi. Questions popped up in my mind like who is he? Why they are naming an IIM after him? I know he was one of the farmer prime minister and was killed for some reason, no one knows the exact reason, some say LTTE and some say political rivals killed him. Whatever the reason he was killed and for that he got "bharatha ratha" highest civilian honor of this nation and he is among the country’s best citizens. For getting bhratha ratna he satisfies the below
- He is son and grandson of former prime ministers.
- He became the prime minister after death of his parents like a prince.(its called democracy in India hahahaaa...)
- He ruled the nation like a king with maximum majority he got on sympothy votes.
- Then he lost the next election because of scams and gave out side support to some kichidi government and with drawn it triggering elections.
- He got killed when he was campaigning in those elections.

Now a IIM is named after him, just a IIM look around more than half of the state and central government projects are named after him (remaining half are so are named after his mother (Mrs. Indira Gandhi)) because
- He is the late husband of foreign national who is now in king maker position.
- People only loyal to his family are in critical government positions.
- His son/daughter are with “prime minister in waiting” status.
- One day his grandson/granddaughter will be prime minister of this nation.I think these are enough reasons to name an IIM after him, how dare me to ask such question even to myself?

Add Comments

Open political system and closed economy

This is exactly the system communists want in this country, I am not very sure if this system will bring any good to our “developing” nation. Now I am 26, since my childhood people are using the same “developing”, I don’t know when I will hear “India a developed country”. Our neighboring country is having closed political system and open economy and they are doing very good according to different reports I am finding in media. Indian communists are forgetting the words of Lenin, “capitalism can only be overthrown by revolutionary means; that is, any attempts to reform capitalism from within, such as Fabianism and non-revolutionary forms of democratic socialism, are doomed to fail”. Democratic socialism and over throwing the capitalism by revolution is impossible in Indian democracy where small parties try to rule the nation with blackmail and greed. People’s needs are secondary to everyone and power and position are the high priorities, yes I include communists in this small party list (hardly they have 65 seats in parliament). They may argue that, they are not power hungry and they just offering support from outside for the sake of saving this nation from so called non-secular forces. What a joke :), either they are fooling themselves or fooling the nation. I dare to ask any communist or any communist supporter to tell me what good the communists has done to this nation and its people. The only thing they have achieved in these four years of their outside support is delaying the decision making process in every aspect of governance and most amusing part is that they claim this as their victory ahaaa…….

Coming back to the issue open political system and closed economy. Dear communists please look back to 1960s nationalization and word socialist added to the constitutional name of this nation, what good it has brought to this nation except we were in isolation for 3 decades with “developing” tag added to the name of this nation. Now we are seeing little light with liberalization and standard of living if getting better for “most” of the people, I agree with the fact that life is not getting better for the all, why don’t you fight for those who are not getting better instead of thinking on how to stop growth to bring every one to the same level. Stop wasting your and others time on matters like ideology and ideology related hatred towards others despite of their good deeds. Every political party need to evolve with change and changing peoples needs. If you say we will stick to the same 1950s ideology written in books, God may help you (ooops you don’t believe in God, sorry!!) There is saying I heard “If you are good do it yourself, if now let the eligible do it, to make it best.”

indianhippy.com
