There is something quietly refreshing happening in Christian music.
Away from major labels, massive production budgets, and carefully manufactured personas, a growing number of independent artists are creating music that feels deeply personal while remaining firmly rooted in the Gospel. They aren't trying to imitate mainstream trends or chase algorithms—they're writing songs that sound like real life, real faith, and real dependence on Jesus Christ.
One of those artists is Bailey Blanton, a Bay Area Christian singer-songwriter whose music reflects the heart of the indie gospel movement: honest stories, thoughtful songwriting, and an unwavering desire to glorify Christ above everything else.
Based in San Ramon, California, Bailey has steadily built momentum as an independent Christian artist, surpassing 200,000 streams on his latest album while remaining committed to a ministry that values faithfulness over fame.
An Artist More Interested in Truth Than Performance

What immediately stands out about Bailey Blanton isn't simply his music.
It's his posture.
When describing his own ministry, Bailey doesn't begin by talking about achievements or accomplishments.
Instead, he says:

"I'm making music for Jesus—so far it hasn't been conventional—but an attempt at an honest reflection of the situations in my life and bringing them to the Lord."

That single sentence explains much of what makes his music resonate.
Rather than presenting Christianity as polished perfection, Bailey writes from inside the process of following Christ.
His songs acknowledge weakness, celebrate redemption, wrestle with everyday struggles, and continually point listeners back to the Savior.
That honesty has become increasingly rare—not only within music but within culture itself.
Indie Gospel Is More Than a Genre

For many listeners, "gospel music" immediately brings to mind choirs or traditional worship music.
Indie gospel offers another expression of the same unchanging message.
Artists like Bailey blend alternative rock, indie influences, and thoughtful songwriting with biblical truth. The result isn't music that replaces worship in the local church—it complements discipleship throughout the week.
Influenced by Switchfoot, John Van Deusen, and Gable Price and Friends, Bailey's sound lives comfortably between indie rock and contemporary Christian music while refusing to compromise the centrality of Jesus.
Every song serves the same purpose:
To help people see Christ more clearly.
Redemption Is the Story

When asked what message he hopes listeners carry away, Bailey's answer couldn't be simpler.
Jesus is Lord.
Everything else grows from that truth.
He openly admits he doesn't have every answer.
"I'm not a perfect Christian by any means," Bailey shares. "But I know God is working in my life and giving my life over to Him is the best thing I've ever experienced."
That confession echoes one of Christianity's foundational realities.
The Gospel is not the story of perfect people finding God.
It is the story of a perfect Savior pursuing broken people.
Bailey's music continually reflects that message.
Not by pretending life is easy.
But by reminding listeners that Jesus remains faithful through every season.
Rooted in Community

Although his audience continues to expand, Bailey's ministry remains grounded in the local church.
His connections with Valley Bible Church, Quest Ministries, and Spared Every Day demonstrate that his music isn't disconnected from Christian community—it grows out of it.
That matters.
Healthy Christian artists don't simply build audiences.
They remain connected to the Body of Christ.
For Bailey, music serves the Church rather than replacing it.
Quiet Momentum

In an industry often obsessed with viral moments, Bailey's growth has been remarkably organic.
More than 200,000 streams on his latest album represent more than impressive numbers.
They represent thousands of individual listeners encountering music that consistently points beyond the artist himself.
Creative collaborators like Corbin York, who produced I Don't Need No Ego Death, and photographer Eli Bottom of Bitframe Media have helped shape Bailey's artistic vision while preserving the authenticity that defines his work.
The result feels less like branding and more like ministry.
The Gospel Still Meets People Where They Are

One of the beautiful realities of indie gospel music is that it often reaches people who might never walk into a church building.
Someone searching for alternative rock may unexpectedly encounter lyrics about Christ.
Someone wrestling with faith may discover a songwriter who isn't pretending to have everything together.
Someone carrying shame may hear reminders that redemption is still available.
That is why artists like Bailey matter.
They faithfully plant seeds.
God brings the growth.
Looking Ahead

As Bailey Blanton continues writing, recording, and serving through music, his ministry stands as a reminder that independent Christian artists don't need to imitate the world to make an impact.
Faithfulness still matters.
Truth still matters.
The Gospel still changes lives.
Bailey's own words perhaps summarize his ministry best:

"God really did bless me. It's become one day at a time, and I'm fighting forward. I know He's there."

That isn't merely a personal testimony.
It's an invitation.
An invitation to trust Jesus one day at a time, to keep walking even when the road is difficult, and to remember that God's grace is sufficient for every season.
For listeners searching for thoughtful alternative music grounded in biblical hope, Bailey Blanton is proving that indie gospel isn't simply a style of music.
It's another faithful way of proclaiming the greatest story ever told.
After listening, Bailey offers a simple encouragement that reflects the heart behind his ministry: don't stop with the music—open God's Word. The songs point to Jesus, but Scripture reveals Him most clearly.

Minister John Taylor Jr., a gospel artist from Mississippi, is using his voice to uplift and inspire people through real life struggles and strong faith. He first started singing at just 12 years old at New Ebenezer Baptist Church, and since then, music has been a calling. Known as a gospel soloist, his sound is rooted in faith, healing, and truth. What keeps him going is simple. He says the grace of God is his strength, and that message is clear in every song he creates.

His journey has not been easy. Recently diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease, Minister John Taylor Jr. has been facing one of the toughest battles of his life. Still, he stands strong in his belief and uses music as a way to reach others who may be hurting. His song “God’s Power” is especially close to his heart, made to encourage people who feel broken or sick, reminding them that God cares and holds all power.

This year has kicked off with a wealth of opportunities and open doors. In January, I started the new year by singing at my church, Gateway Tabernacle for our annual New Year’s Eve Watch Service, a beautiful event where the community gathers to reflect and celebrate. I had the honor of performing at The Cup of Love Coffeehouse during the open mic segment, which allowed me to connect with fellow artists and share our love for music. Furthermore, I was a special guest panelist for the podcast, Faith from Flames TV via Zoom, with the segment set to air on the GoodVue Network app in the near future; it was a joy to discuss faith and creativity in this platform. You can also catch the episode at this link, where we delved into meaningful topics. Additionally, I am scheduled to be the special guest artist on March 3rd on Faith from Flames TV via Zoom and Facebook, an engagement I’m eagerly looking forward to, and I will be in concert online on Red’s Room on March 14th, alongside other selected Christian music artists via Zoom, streamed live on Facebook; these virtual concerts allow us to reach audiences far beyond our immediate surroundings. On February 1st, I was the featured artist at the The Cup of Love Coffeehouse at my church, Gateway Tabernacle, and I will soon be posting an edited video of the concert on my YouTube channel, making it accessible to those who couldn’t attend in person. My song, “Gaining the Victory,” co-written with Dr. Mike Baldock for his ministry podcast, “Gaining the Victory Ministries,” has resonated deeply with audiences, allowing me to share my testimony about God’s miraculous healing power through music and words; it has instigated powerful conversations about my cancer journey and healing and brought encouragement to many. I have been actively creating engaging content for my website, Artist’s Facebook Page, and Artist’s Facebook Group, establishing connections to share my music ministry widely, and my presence on TikTok, X, and Instagram keeps my fans and friends updated on exciting developments in my music journey, fostering a sense of community and involvement in my artistic pursuits. I sincerely appreciate my song leak page created by Trackstarz Leaks, which supports new emerging artists across all genres and highlights our collective journey in the music industry, and I am also currently featured on the ranking list of My Music Battles, (below is an image of the artwork for my song “Gaining the Victory” and the song’s statistics) a platform showcasing independent artists globally, creating a rich tapestry of diverse voices and styles. I’m effectively using WhatsApp to connect with radio station DJs at SparkFlame Radio in the UK, (a big thank you to Steve & Angela and the whole SparkFlame Radio crew for supporting me and my music, even when your station doesn’t exclusively play Christian music and you play a variety of mixed genres from around the globe!), which has opened doors to numerous opportunities. I am also using WhatsApp to conduct live interviews on air, as well as another communication tool for fans and music industry professionals to stay in touch with me, allowing for real-time interaction and feedback. Be sure to check out my Official Me Page and Be Heard Page, complete with a radio player; these platforms not only share my music but also tell my story. I am grateful to be part of HolyArise, a Christian music streaming platform, and to use my Indie Gospel Net profile for networking with fellow independent Christian artists and professionals, gaining airplay on their Radio Station which helps cultivate a supportive environment for our artistry. I am very excited to belong to ASCAP, ISSA, CGM Inc., TuneCore, and Sound Exchange, fully embracing every opportunity that comes my way and planning future trips to the ISSA music convention and awards show in Atlanta, GA in August, CGM Inc. Eastern division convention in Ohio in August, and the CGM Inc. fall national convention and awards show in Branson, MO in October; these events are fantastic places to learn, connect, and grow within the industry. I can also say it’s been an incredible honor to have “Gaining the Victory” nominated for song of the year in 2025 by the Elite Music Awards and to be a top 10 finalist worldwide in the World Songwriting Awards competition for “Gaining the Victory” for the 2025 fall competition; being recognized in such prestigious circles affirms the hard work and passion invested in my music. Below are my official certificates of recognition from the Elite Music Awards & World Songwriting Awards, Praise be to Jesus! and each accolade serves as a motivation to keep pursuing excellence in my craft. I now conclude that I am immensely grateful to be played on nearly 30 radio stations worldwide, alongside over 50 online streaming platforms; it is truly a blessing to have my music reach listeners across various backgrounds and journeys, and I cannot wait to see what other open doors and opportunities lie ahead for me this month and throughout the coming year.

What a deeply impactful year it has been! In March, I confronted the overwhelming diagnosis of cancer, yet amidst the uncertainty, I discovered strength through collaboration, co-writing “Gaining the Victory” with Dr. Mike Baldock for his ministry podcast, “Gaining the Victory Ministries”. April brought the realities of surgery, followed by radiation in early August, moments that tested my resilience. Yet, through it all, I found joy in celebrating the release of “Gaining the Victory,” and I created a website, Artist’s Facebook Page, and Artist’s Facebook Group to connect and share my music ministry with others. I also ventured into TikTok, X, Instagram, and I was a part of the Trackstarz Leaks for new emerging artists of all genres. I begin competing in a battle of the bands from all over the globe on My Music Battles, I started using WhatsApp to communicate with radio station DJs in the UK, I crafted an Official Me Page and Be Heard Page complete with a Radio player. Joining the HolyArise Christian music streaming platform and establishing my Indie Gospel Net profile marked a significant turning point, leading to my inclusion in their Radio Station. I became a proud member of ASCAP, ISSA, CGM Inc., TuneCore, and Sound Exchange, embracing every opportunity that came my way. To my humble surprise, “Gaining the Victory” garnered a nomination for song of the year by the Elite Music Awards, and I found my voice resonating with nearly 30 radio stations worldwide, alongside over 50 online streaming platforms.
I had the privilege of participating in several live interviews and podcasts on radio stations and YouTube channels in both the US and the UK, a truly new experience for me. As 2025 comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude for my miraculous healing from metastatic papillary thyroid carcinoma and for the preservation of my voice, a precious gift from Jesus Himself. This past year, despite the trials of my cancer journey, has been abundant with blessings. I look forward to 2026 with hope, taking on new bookings and planning trips to award shows and conventions. My heart is full of optimism for what the Lord has in store for my music ministry and the new paths it may carve for me.

Kingdom Victorious Mindsets
Hopelessness /vs/ Hope Filled
Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

Romans 8:24-25 For in this (our salvation) we were saved. But hope that is seenis no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Ephesians 4:17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the gentiles(unbelievers) do, in the futility of their thinking.

Proverbs 3:3Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablets of your heart.
• Hope is believing in the unseen world.

• Faith is wrapped in hope, waiting patiently, for which is promised, but not seen.

• Knowing the outcome before the evidence is seen.

In the season as we approach Christmas, many people suffer from depression and unsound minds. “WHY?” People, who suffer look at themselves, their past, their failures, their loneliness and then isolate themselves because of how they feel. Their lives become filled with hopelessness! What can we do to help our neighbors??
1. Share THE LOVE and HOPE with one another.

2. Shine your light until it becomes contagious.

3. Bring THE JOY until it changes atmospheres.

Daily prayers needed in Battle for this Week!

Dear Father God, thank you for using each one of us, who are filled with Your Love, to go boldly wherever we walk this season carrying Peace, Love and Joy which breaks all strongholds in our loved ones! Dear Father God, thank you for keeping our eyes open to those who are hurting, with the right words to bring comfort, that only the Holy Spirit can do within us.
Declaration

I declare that the Lord will take ALL your darkness, brokenness, sickness, and confusion and replace it with the peace and joy that comes with the season of Christmas. I declare hearts are receptive to Your Love radiated through those who carry Your anointing this season. I declare families are reunited and relationships mended in the Christmas season; in Jesus mighty name I speak for this declaration.
Blessings,

Kingdom Victorious Mindsets
All Things New / Greater Things Are Yet to Come
When we surrender totally to the Lord, He will make all things new in our lives. We must surrender even the lies that we have believed, perhaps all our lives, through words spoken over us as a child. If you want all the old gone and all things new, all things must be surrendered to the Lord. As you travel in uncharted territory, you must follow the Spirit of the Lord!
Joshua 3:1-5 Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out to Shittim and went to Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. After three days the officers went throughout the camp giving orders to the people. “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priestscarrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. Then you will know which way to go., since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two hundred cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it. Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”
Because you do not know, ask the Lord to expose the areas in your heart you have not explored due to pain. Perhaps today is the day you are ready to accept the truth of your broken heart. At least ask the Lord to show you how you can accept the truth.
1 Corinthians 3:2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.
Well, you have heard the definition of insanity, “If you keep doing the same things over and over again, and expect a different result” Well, perhaps this is the day that you will surrender your whole heart to the Lord; the good, the bad and the ugly.
Romans 8:14-16 For those who are led by the Spirit of the God are the children of God. The spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again, rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.”
Dear Father God, thank you for exposing everything in me that needs to be exposed, so that I may repent of my ways and renounce the lies that I have believed for so long.

Introduction

I want to thank the Indie Gospel community for welcoming me and giving me a place to share faith-inspired music, testimony, and artwork. This week, God placed on my heart the inspiration to release three new meditative Christian instrumental pieces, each created as a prayer of peace, hope, and quiet reflection.

Every track is paired with a piece of my faith-inspired abstract artwork, created during deep spiritual moments, symbolizing God’s healing presence and the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Below are the full song reflections, artwork meaning, and the spiritual inspiration behind each piece.

1. Gaga (2025 Remaster)

Artwork: Bloom in Faith — Heaven’s Glow

“Gaga (2025 Remaster)” is a gentle, spiritually reflective instrumental born during a time of deep personal loss. When someone very dear to me passed away, God met me in my grief with a whisper of peace — a reminder that His love carries us through every dark valley.

This newly remastered edition brings
deeper clarity
warmer tones
and richer emotional depth

Each note carries the feeling of God quietly comforting the soul, lifting the heart, and reminding us that our loved ones rest safely in His eternal hands.

Artwork Meaning — Bloom in Faith: Heaven’s Glow

The artwork paired with this piece was created during the same season of sorrow.
Its soft turquoise, ivory, and warm golden hues reflect:

renewal

healing

the gentle transformation God brings to the soul

It symbolizes divine light shining through our broken places — reminding us that even through pain, God is forming something new, compassionate, and beautiful within us.

This piece is offered as a prayer for anyone needing calm, comfort, and the reassurance of God’s presence.

2. Peace of Christ – Christian Meditative Instrumental

Artwork: The Little Prayer

“Peace of Christ” is a soft, warm meditative instrumental designed to bring the listener into Christ’s quiet, healing embrace. Its gentle tones slow the mind, soften the heart, and create a space where the Holy Spirit can bring stillness.

This piece reflects the Scripture:

“My peace I give you… Let not your heart be troubled.” — John 14:27

It is meant for prayer, reflection, and quiet moments with God.

Artwork Meaning — The Little Prayer

The artwork features a young child resting peacefully in the glow of God’s presence, surrounded by symbols of faith. The gentle golden tones represent purity, innocence, and unwavering trust.

This piece visually expresses what the song feels like:

resting safely in God
letting go
trusting Him like a child
allowing His peace to fill every corner of the heart

3. Grace in Motion – Christian Meditative Instrumental

Artwork: Faith in Bloom — Radiant (Award-Winning Artwork)

“Grace in Motion” celebrates the living movement of the Holy Spirit — the way He breathes life, energy, and spiritual renewal into the soul.
This track flows gently, like waves of grace washing away heaviness and drawing the heart closer to God.

It carries a deeper emotional pulse, representing:

the fire of the Holy Spirit

the transformation of the soul

God’s strength during weakness

spiritual rebirth

This is a song of renewal, motion, and God’s living presence.

Artwork Meaning — Faith in Bloom: Radiant

This vibrant red, white, and black artwork was honored in an online exhibition and is one of my most powerful visual reflections. The bold colors symbolize:

spiritual fire
purification
divine transformation
radiant life breaking through darkness

It mirrors the energy of the Holy Spirit — intense, pure, and alive.

Together, the artwork and music create a spiritual experience of movement, healing, and the renewing presence of God.

Closing Thoughts

Each of these pieces was created prayerfully with the hope that they bring:

peace

comfort

spiritual reflection

and a moment of quiet with God

My goal is simply to share faith-inspired art and music that helps people feel God’s presence and healing.

Thank you, and God bless you all.

Walking by Faith in the Desert

The city shimmered with temptation, but my heart was dry ground. Every day became a small survival story — learning to depend entirely on God’s mercy and timing.

One evening I sat alone in my small apartment. There was no real door, only a drape. My bed had a hole in it the size of a tire. I didn’t have a suitcase — just a few plastic bags holding what remained of my life.

That night, I didn’t pray formally. I simply talked to God — my Father, my Savior, my guide.
He was everything to me.

I was lonely. I missed my family. I would call home just to hear my mother’s voice. She always reminded me:
“If you ever need anything, just come home.”

But I knew God had placed me in that desert for a purpose — to remove the anger inside me and teach me peace.

Then came the night when I had nothing left — not even toilet paper.
In desperation and faith, I walked to a nearby hotel to take some.

As I stepped out a back door, everything changed.

Red and blue lights flashed. Police officers were crouched behind cars. Armed suspects shouted back at them.
Without realizing it, I had walked directly into a live crime scene — in pajamas, carrying toilet paper in my jacket.

A deep, unmistakable nudge hit me:
“Get down.”

I obeyed instantly and crawled to safety as the Holy Spirit guided every movement. Not a single shot was fired while I was exposed.

Back in my tiny room, I lay down on my worn-out bed. I didn’t pray — I simply rested in God’s presence.
His mercy had carried me through danger I never even saw coming.
My Creative Journey

I’ve been creating art for over 45 years.

My journey began in photography — including a brief period as a police and court photographer — before moving into studio, commercial, and creative visual work.

I studied photography, graphic arts, and radio production at Palomar College.
I later hosted Hooked on Comedy Trivia on KCEO AM 1000 and worked on several shows at KLAV AM 1230 in Las Vegas, including collaborations with KFI’s Gary Owens.

Though health challenges now limit my ability to paint physically, I continue creating digital abstract works led by faith and the Holy Spirit.

I currently have over 100 unreleased pieces from the past twenty years that I plan to share soon.

When it comes to timeless music, few things hit the heart quite like an old school gospel medley. Believers Hope, a faith-driven collective led by composer, arranger, and songwriter Jeremiah Ogbadu, has poured their soul into a track that blends the spirit of beloved hymns with a fresh yet reverent sound. Their newly released single, Joy of the Lord (Medley), draws from classic gospel inspiration while speaking life into today’s listeners. The medley interweaves “Joy Like a River” and “Trust and Obey” with a heartfelt new hook that Jeremiah penned in a moment of deep reflection.
This isn’t just another worship track—it’s an anthem that reminds us of God’s unshakable faithfulness. Anyone who listens will feel the authenticity, the joy, and the hope behind every lyric. The group’s dedication to preserving the roots of gospel while giving it a modern glow makes this project stand out in today’s crowded music landscape.
Behind the Joy of the Lord

For Jeremiah, hymns have always been more than music—they’re a spiritual anchor. Back in February 2024, when Believers Hope began sketching ideas for their debut album Living Hope, it became clear that a hymn-inspired track had to make the cut. He recalled the hymn “Peace Like a River in My Soul” but remembered how he had always sung it as “Joy Like a River.”
That small change in lyric sparked something big. Around that time, Jeremiah was immersing himself in the biblical truth of joy—how it transcends fleeting happiness and rests firmly in the promises of God (Gal 5:22; John 15:11). His studies led him to see joy not as a passing feeling, but as a state of the believer’s heart. True joy doesn’t waver with circumstances—it stands strong because it is rooted in Christ’s faithfulness.
And so, the seed of Joy of the Lord (Medley) was planted. The new hook Jeremiah wrote tied the two classic songs together perfectly, reminding us to lean on God’s Word and trust His promises.

Why an Old School Gospel Medley Still Matters Today

There’s something powerful about blending timeless hymns with a modern voice. An old school gospel medley like this one carries the strength of tradition while also breathing fresh life into it. Songs like “Trust and Obey” have been sung for generations, yet when reimagined by artists like Believers Hope, they take on a new resonance.
Jeremiah’s message is simple: nothing can rob us of the joy of the Lord when we’re grounded in His promises. The group wants listeners to remember that even Paul, in prison, wrote some of the most joy-filled letters of Scripture. Their music testifies that joy is not circumstantial—it’s spiritual, eternal, and unstoppable.
That’s why Joy of the Lord (Medley) is more than a song; it’s a declaration. It’s a celebration of faith that invites every believer to sing along and rejoice.
[jrEmbed module="jrYouTube" id="5348"]

Artist Spotlights & Success Stories

Believers Hope isn’t just a band—they’re a family of believers with a vision to share the gospel through every form of art possible. Music, animation, drama, and poetry all come together under their banner to glorify God and touch lives. Their debut single is the first glimpse of what’s to come on their upcoming 2026 album Living Hope.
Their creative team is a blend of singers, songwriters, producers, and animators, each bringing unique talents to the table. From vintage gospel influences to Afrobeat rhythms, their music is diverse yet unified in its purpose: to point listeners back to the hope of Christ. Their animators even crafted a beautifully illustrated video for Joy of the Lord (Medley) that captures the energy and heart behind the lyrics.
You can read more inspiring journeys like theirs through Artist Spotlights & Success Stories, where stories of faith, resilience, and creativity shine brightly.
A Fresh Sound with Old School Gospel Medley Roots

The single is only the beginning. With Living Hope slated for release in 2026, Believers Hope promises to deliver an album packed with authenticity and passion. Their unique ability to weave together past and present is what sets them apart. By embracing the richness of gospel heritage and pairing it with innovative artistry, they’ve created something that resonates across generations.
Joy of the Lord (Medley) is available now on all major streaming platforms, and the group encourages fans to not just listen but to engage—sing along, share it with friends, and let the joy of the Lord fill your home, your car, and your heart.
For anyone longing for worship that feels both familiar and new, this track is the perfect blend. Believers Hope has managed to bottle up the timeless essence of gospel and pour it out fresh for today’s world.
Closing Thoughts

Believers Hope’s debut single proves one thing: gospel music is alive and well. By creating an old school gospel medley that fuses beloved hymns with heartfelt original writing, they’ve delivered a track that encourages, uplifts, and inspires. It’s a reminder that God’s promises never fail, His joy never runs out, and His presence is always near.
This is just the start of Believers Hope’s journey, but if Joy of the Lord (Medley) is any indication, we can expect even greater things ahead. So turn up the volume, sing along, and rejoice always—because the joy of the Lord truly is our strength.

New Release by Rock Good Breaks Through the Noise with Raw Emotion and Faith-Driven Fire

WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE
From the first strum to the final chorus, Chasing the Dream is everything you want a Crossover Christian Rock song to be—passionate, bold, and spiritually electrifying. The track rides the line between alternative rock grit and faith-fueled messaging, delivering a sound that’s both familiar and refreshingly honest. Anchored by the powerhouse vocals of David Allen, whose voice carries both pain and praise in perfect balance, this song doesn’t just sing—it speaks.

Musically, it hits like a heartfelt punch. The guitars—handled brilliantly by Mike Fjerstad—deliver both crunch and clarity, while Joel Stevenett’s drums bring an anthemic pulse that keeps you leaning in. Daniel Blomberg’s piano adds moments of softness that feel like a prayer in the middle of a storm. And with the tight bass work by Matt Clayton and Dave Zimmerman’s clean engineering, the production feels both retro and timeless. The result? A Crossover Christian Rock gem that sounds like something you'd hear blasting from a 70s arena but with a message that’s deeply rooted in modern-day faith.

SPIRITUAL/LYRICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Biblical Hope Wrapped in Anthemic Rock

The lyrics of Chasing the Dream echo with biblical conviction. Lines like "Smiles and Cries for a Life" and "Me against me, chasing the Dream" point to the internal spiritual battle we all face. It’s the Apostle Paul’s words in Romans 7:15 set to music: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”

The bridge line, “Keep knocking you got the Key,” aligns with Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” There’s no mistaking the intent behind these lyrics. This isn’t just a song about chasing worldly dreams—it’s about chasing God’s purpose for your life, trusting that even when the doors slam shut, the right one will eventually open.

And let’s not overlook Proverbs 19:21, which is even quoted behind the scenes of the project: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” That verse sums up the heart of this song perfectly.

BEST THING ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Obedience, Discovery, and a Purpose-Filled Voice

Ask Rock Good what the highlight of Chasing the Dream was, and the answer might surprise you. It wasn’t landing an America’s Got Talent or American Idol finalist, though those doors were open. It was discovering that David Allen—a relatively unknown, young Christian artist—was God’s chosen voice for this song. And it took a full trip around the sun to recognize it.

That realization made the entire process more than just a music project. It became a testimony of listening, waiting, and trusting God’s plan over human preference. Allen’s resilience and faith-filled performance turned this into something truly divine. As Rock Good says, “Chasing the Dream is his destiny.” And that’s the beauty of this track—it was birthed in obedience, matured in faith, and delivered through raw talent and spiritual surrender.

FOR FANS OF
If You Like These Artists, You’ll Love Rock Good

If you vibe with the emotional rawness of Stryper (I Believe In You), the powerful conviction of Classic Petra - Back to the Rock, or the soul-bearing authenticity of David Meecen, then Chasing the Dream is right up your alley. It blends rock elements with lyrical vulnerability, much like David Meece does with “Falling Down” or Petra with “Beyond Belief.”

David Allen’s vocals have the same storytelling quality as Needtobreathe’s Bear Rinehart—rich, honest, and tinged with that Southern rock soul. And while this song leans more masculine in vocal delivery, the spiritual depth and crossover appeal are very reminiscent of what Lauren Daigle brings to the Christian music table.

This Crossover Christian Rock release is standing tall among these industry giants—just waiting to be discovered by a larger audience.

THE VIDEO: VISUAL STORYTELLING AT ITS FINEST
Watch Now on YouTube
Shot and produced at NOISEBOX STUDIOS in Provo, UT, the music video for Chasing the Dream doesn’t just support the song—it elevates it. The direction by Josh Sales beautifully captures the emotional tension of the lyrics with visuals that are raw, real, and deeply human. You’re not just listening—you’re experiencing the journey visually and spiritually.

And with over 20,000 views and growing, it’s clear this project is resonating.
WHY PROMOTERS SHOULD CARE: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A Message That Rocks the Heart and Reverberates the Soul

Whether you’re a promoter, a faith-based music curator, or a radio station executive, Chasing the Dream deserves your ears—and your playlist. This song isn’t just another submission—it’s a spirit-led, high-quality Crossover Christian Rock anthem with heart, purpose, and production that rivals major label releases.

Listeners will walk away inspired, renewed, and reminded that chasing their dreams—especially God-ordained ones—is worth every struggle. If you’re looking to feature music that actually means something, that tells a story with spiritual roots and sonic excellence, this is it.

From the Nightlife to New Life: Emanuel King's Redemption Journey

There’s something truly powerful about hearing someone’s transformation story told straight from the heart—and Emanuel King does just that in his debut single, Set Me Free. From the first note, you’ll feel the emotion behind every lyric. What makes it even more compelling is that it’s not just a song—it’s a real-life declaration of freedom, penned by someone who’s lived through the fire and come out refined. With over 2 million views on YouTube, Set Me Free is connecting with listeners across the globe who resonate with the message of redemption, renewal, and purpose.
Emanuel King didn’t come from a church pew—he came from the D.C. nightlife scene, running clubs and chasing success the world's way. But about seven years ago, his path took an unexpected turn. He had a supernatural encounter with God—one that completely flipped the script. In an instant, everything changed. That moment inspired a life of ministry, service, and now, music. Set Me Free is available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify.
WATCH THE POWERFUL VIDEO: Emanuel King's Message in Motion

You can watch the full music video right now, and when you do, be ready for a worship experience that goes beyond the screen. The visual storytelling mirrors Emanuel King’s raw and unfiltered journey from darkness to light, filled with symbolism and powerful imagery. Set against the backdrop of a passionate worship environment—complete with live musicians, a choir, and vibrant lighting—the video pulls you into the heart of King’s spiritual awakening.
[jrEmbed module="jrYouTube" id="5323"]
This isn’t a high-budget showpiece trying to be something it’s not. It’s real, it’s moving, and it’s directed with care by Nathael Damtew alongside a talented crew, including Bbisrat Getachew. Backed by the gifted worship team of CJC International and the guidance of Prophet Yosef Tesfaye, the production presents both quality and sincerity. And the line, “I met the man sitting at the well,” isn’t just creative writing—it’s Emanuel King's own testimony. He met Jesus in a moment that turned his life completely upside-down—or rather, right-side up.
Set Me Free: A Spiritual Declaration by Emanuel King

So what exactly does Set Me Free mean to Emanuel King? It’s more than a catchy hook or a Sunday morning anthem. It’s a personal outcry—an honest reflection of being pulled out of addiction, confusion, and spiritual darkness. As a man who was never raised in the church, King didn’t grow up singing in choirs or attending Bible studies. Yet, when God called him, there was no hesitation. He walked away from everything and into the unknown, trusting God with the rest.
And that’s exactly what makes Set Me Free so special—it’s born out of obedience, not ambition. King didn’t go looking to make a hit song. He simply received a sound from the Holy Spirit during a time of deep prayer. The result is a worship anthem that feels raw, unpolished in the best way, and deeply authentic. Whether you’re in a season of breakthrough or still waiting for one, this song invites you to believe again. As King sings, you can almost hear the chains falling off. Visit Devine Jamz Gospel Network for more inspirational content.
The Calling Behind the Song: Emanuel King Now and Then

When Emanuel King tells his story, it’s hard not to be moved. Once a club owner caught up in the fast-paced D.C. scene, he now serves as the second pastor at CJC International. His life, once filled with flashing lights and late-night parties, now revolves around spiritual leadership, serving a congregation of over 200 members. His transition wasn’t motivated by guilt or fear—it was the result of grace, pure and simple.
And he’s not doing it alone. With his wife, children, and a growing church family by his side, Emanuel King is living proof that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love. The lyrics of Set Me Free aren’t just his words—they’re echoes of a greater truth: that Christ still redeems, heals, and sets captives free. Emanuel may not consider himself a “professional” artist, but in this moment, he’s exactly the vessel the message needed. Sometimes the best songs aren’t sung by the most trained voices—they’re sung by the most sincere ones.

Sometimes, a spark from within changes everything. And for Canadian guitar virtuoso Thomas Polychuck, that moment is captured in his soul-stirring new single, “Lights On.”

Slated for release on May 25, 2025, as part of the upcoming six-track EP The Answer, “Lights On” brings together the heart of gospel and the fire of progressive rock in a way only Polychuck can pull off. You’ll feel the shift immediately—this is music made during a spiritual awakening, and every note carries the weight of that journey. From the first strum to the final crescendo, Lights On radiates both vulnerability and strength. It’s a track that doesn't just talk about transformation—it embodies it. And through it, Polychuck not only shares his truth but invites us to reflect on our own.

The song, like the rest of The Answer, will be available on all major streaming platforms. You can pre-save it now through this link and be among the first to experience it.

🔥 The Power of “Lights On” to Illuminate the Darkest Corners 🔥

There’s something deeply personal about “Lights On.” It’s not just another track—it’s a turning point. In this standout song, Thomas opens up about a time when he found himself at a crossroads. Instead of retreating, he picked up his guitar and turned inward, channeling his struggles into melody. With an electrifying mix of gospel harmonies and intricate solos, this piece becomes an anthem for anyone who’s been lost and finally found their way back.

“Lights On” pulses with rhythm, hope, and raw guitar energy. There’s a subtle conversation happening between the voice and the strings—a dialogue between despair and redemption. It’s beautifully engineered by producer Josh Bowale, who understands how to let both the instrumentation and message breathe. Every detail, from the background vocals to the subtle tempo shifts, feels intentional and alive.

Whether you’re a long-time prog rock fan or new to gospel music, this track will strike a chord. It speaks across genres—and even beyond music—reminding us all that healing isn’t linear, but it is possible.

🎧 Why “The Answer” is More Than Just an EP

If you're thinking this EP is just another blend of rock and gospel, think again. The Answer is a deep-dive into Thomas Polychuck’s spiritual and artistic evolution. It’s the result of years of playing, producing, and, most importantly, listening—to life, to faith, and to the inner voice calling him to go deeper.

From track one to track six, this project is rich with meaning. And yes, Lights On might be the emotional peak, but every song builds to that moment in a way that feels both natural and exhilarating. Think of it like a movie soundtrack—except the story is yours to live through.

What’s even more impressive is how Thomas keeps it all grounded. The production feels warm and organic, thanks to analog tapes and old-school mixing techniques. There's a retro soul to the whole thing, even when the riffs get wild and the progressions twist unexpectedly. That balance between classic and modern is what gives The Answer its heartbeat.

Don't sleep on this one. Hit that pre-save link and be ready to plug in.

⚡ Meet the Mind Behind “Lights On” – Thomas Polychuck

Now, if the name Thomas Polychuck sounds familiar, there’s a good reason for that. He’s not just a performer—he’s a force in the guitar world. As a high-profile coach and member of two progressive acts (THE||HIMN and In Sylva), Thomas has built a reputation for being both wildly skilled and endlessly creative.

His journey took a wild turn during the COVID lockdowns when he started sharing guitar content online. That leap of faith paid off in a big way—his audience grew from a few hundred to over 100,000 across platforms in just two years. Now, with a global student base and collaborations with legends like Simon Phillips, Derek Sherinian, and Virgil Donati, he’s not just playing music—he’s shaping the future of it.

Even with all the accolades, Thomas stays grounded. His approach to music is one of curiosity, reverence, and exploration. Lights On reflects all of that—pushing boundaries while staying rooted in emotion. And with gospel now part of his sonic palette, who knows where his journey will lead next?

Introduction

Welcome to an exclusive interview with international singer-songwriter Milly Praise, brought to you by Devine Jamz. Today, we delve into the inspiration and journey behind her debut single, "Sounds of Heaven," now streaming on major online platforms and with its music video available on YouTube. Join us as Milly shares her experiences, the influence of her faith and church communities, and valuable insights for aspiring gospel artists.

Interview Highlights

Devine Jamz: Milly, can you tell us about the inspiration behind your debut single, "Sounds of Heaven"?
Milly Praise: I will say it was inspired by the Holy Spirit. It was through a time of intimacy with the Holy Spirit in prayer and fasting that the sound was birthed out.
Devine Jamz: What was the experience like performing “Sounds of Heaven” live at “The Throne Room Encounter Concert”?

Watch Milly Praise On YouTube

Milly Praise: It was an amazing time in the presence of the Lord. The Holy Spirit indeed manifested Himself uniquely during the performance. Even though the song was new, people could relate to it.
Devine Jamz: How has your journey from Ghana to the United States influenced your music and your faith?
Milly Praise: My journey from Ghana has greatly influenced my music and faith in God positively. The challenges we faced made us trust Jesus more, and through them, I learned to stick closer to Him to order my steps.
Devine Jamz: Can you share a bit about your process for creating music and how the Holy Spirit guides you?
The Story Behind The Song

Psalmist SylMac's musical journey has been one guided by faith and a profound connection to gospel hymns. In the midst of the pandemic, she felt a divine calling to initiate a prayer line, where praising and worshipping God became a cornerstone. It was during these moments of spiritual connection that the seeds of "The Lord's Prayer" were sown.
In a moment of divine inspiration, Psalmist SylMac woke one Saturday morning with a melody on her lips, crafting the initial four-sentence chorus of what would become "My Soul Sings." Despite its humble beginnings, the chorus resonated deeply with her prayer line community, igniting a spark of encouragement from peers and loved ones to transform it into a complete song.
The turning point came during a poignant drive home from the Farmers Market, where the Holy Spirit infused Psalmist SylMac's spirit with the melodic essence of "The Lord's Prayer." With unwavering faith and determination, she intricately merged the heartfelt chorus of "My Soul Sings" with the sacred verses of The Lord's Prayer, creating a seamless fusion of praise and devotion.
Rediscovering Her Calling

In a remarkable tale of divine intervention, Camille Meskill releases her captivating single, "Come & See," now available in all digital stores since June 30, 2023. Meskill's journey began in 2018 when she earnestly sought the Lord's will for her life, questioning the path she should take. Through prayer and introspection, she found herself revisiting her past, specifically her childhood days of singing in the church choir. Meskill had strayed from her faith during her college years, but she now realizes that God was always there, yearning to guide her back into His loving embrace.

Overcoming Obstacles with Unwavering Faith

Fast forward to the present, Meskill emerged from a toxic relationship, leaving behind everything—her home, job, and agent—and returned to her roots in Wales, United Kingdom. Though she had lost herself along the way, a chance encounter led to her involvement in a musical called Godspell, where someone from the show invited her to church nearly eight years ago. Initially hesitant, Meskill's heart was deeply moved when she heard the word of God, and she knew instinctively that she had come back home to where she truly belonged.
From "There are you still" to "Come & See"

In 2018, as Meskill sensed God calling her to sing, doubts plagued her. It had been so long, and she had never written a song before. Despite months of questioning, she ultimately surrendered and wholeheartedly embraced her divine purpose. However, shortly thereafter, she faced an unexpected health scare. Meskill found herself in the hospital with unexplained facial swelling, unaware that God had placed her exactly where she needed to be. Though medical tests couldn't discern the cause, a chance encounter with a doctor alerted her to a deeper issue: progressive thyroid cancer. Before surgery, the doctor cautioned that removing her entire thyroid could affect her speaking voice and potentially her singing as well.
Undeterred, Meskill clung to unwavering faith, even while in isolation for treatment. It was during this time that she began pouring her heart into songwriting. In 2019, her first song, "Strength Inside," was released, a testament to her resilience and trust in the Lord.
"Come & See": A Testimony of God's Deliverance

Meskill's journey since returning to the Lord has been marked by battles and trials. However, she has come to understand that the attacks from the enemy are to be expected. Battling against forces beyond the physical realm, she has grown in discernment and witnessed God's hand deliver her from countless adversaries. Meskill has experienced God's hand moving her from one place to another, both physically and spiritually. Through these experiences, her faith has deepened, and her spirit has been strengthened, which she eloquently captures in her latest release, "Come & See."

Finding Purpose in Christian Creativity

Originally titled "There are you still," Meskill eventually changed the song's name to "Come & See." Her arduous journey, characterized by climbing, falling, and fighting, has only been possible through the strength bestowed upon her by God. Each battle has served to test her faith, ultimately weaning her away from worldly pursuits and revealing the depths of her own heart.
About The Artist Camille Meskill

While Meskill's background lies in film, TV, and theatre, she has ventured into various realms of Christian creativity. In 2019, she began exploring songwriting and reignited her passion for singing. With over 15 years of experience as a certified personal trainer and fitness coach, Meskill also finds joy in helping others find balance in their lives through exercise, nutrition, and a wholesome lifestyle. Recently, she launched "She's Different," a faith and fitness brand aimed at empowering women.
Glorifying God in all her endeavors brings Meskill immense happiness, and she hopes her work can touch and uplift many lives. Her inspiring journey of restoration and unwavering faith stands as a testament to the transformative power of God's love and grace.
