PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) is a part one of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) that manages the seaport services in Indonesia, established on December 1, 1992 according to Deed of Company Pndirian No. 3 by Notary Imas Fatimah, and the deed of amendment No. dated May 5, 1998 by Notary Imas Fatimah Bachelor of Law.

Pertamina established PT Pertagas on 23 February 2007, and it became PT Pertamina Gas in 2008. The
company undertakes gas transportation, trading and processing. In the gas transmission business, PT Pertamina Persero owns a gas pipeline network with a total volume of 34,000 km-inches in Northern Sumatra, Central Sumatra, Southern Sumatra, Western Java, Eastern Java, and East Kalimantan

In January 2009, PT Pertamina Gas obtained a Transportation Permit and in February 2009, it received an exclusive right from BPH Migas for gas transportation along 43 transmission routes. These permit and exclusive rights complemented the business permit that had been issued previously (in September 2008). By obtaining a business license and special rights, Pertamina Gas now has a regulatory basis to play the principal role in the gas business in Indonesia.

In a bid to tackle gas shortfall problems in West Java, Pertamina Gas, a subsidiary of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that it planned to build a pipeline network connecting Cirebon and Muara Tawar. The planned pipeline network would be divided into two segments, which were a 90-kilometer pipeline from Cirebon to Kandanghaur and a 50-kilometer pipeline from Tegal Gede to Muara Tawar.

To build the planned pipeline, the company would need to invest around US$200 million, he said, adding that the funds would come both from Pertamina Gas’ internal budget and loans from financial institutions.

The pipeline network would secure gas supply from a liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal in Central Java that would be constructed by Pertamina, Harjana said, adding, however, that the price for the gas had not been decided because gas supply for the terminal was yet to be determined.

Upstream Activities
Upstream activities cover exploration and production of oil, gas, and geothermal. The aim of exploration activities is to discover new oil and gas reserves as a replacement of hydrocarbon that has been produced. This effort is intended to maintain the production continuity. The exploration and production activities are performed through its own operation and joint operation arrangements.

The business partnership forms are JOB-EOR (Joint Operating Body for Enhance Oil Recovery), JOB-PSC (Joint Operating Body for Production Sharing Contract), TAC (Technical Assistance Contract), Consortium Cooperation System, IP (Indonesian Participation), PPI (Pertamina Participating Interest) and project loan. While for the geothermal sector, the business partnership is JOC (Joint Operating Contract) arrangement.

The company has concession block operated as own operation arrangement covering 7 (seven) oil and gas Operation Area , i.e. Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Northern Sumatra Operation Area with the main office in Rantau, Central Sumatra Operating Area with the main office in Jambi, Southern Sumatra Operation Area with main office in Prabumulih, Western Java Operation Area with main office in Cirebon, Eastern Java Operation Area with main office in Cepu, Kalimantan Operation Area with main office in Balikpapan, and Papua Operation Area with main office in Sorong. There are 3 geothermal producing areas with the 162 MW installed capacity owned by Pertamina. Those areas are : Sibayak (2 MW) located in North Sumatra, Kamojang (140 MW) located in West Java and Lahendong ( 20 MW) located in North Sulawesi.

Pertamina markets its fuel products for fulfilling the demand from industry, bunker, land transportation and domestic consumption. Pertamina lubricant has Lube Oil Blending plant (LOBP) in Jakarta, Surabaya and Cilacap with total capacity of around 573,000 kilo liter per year (2 shift/day). Pertamina lubricant is consumed by industrial engine, automotive engine, marine engine etc. Pertamina has come to be the market leader of Indonesian lubricant. Pertamina Upstream has 64 oil and gas contracts of joint operation arrangements. They consist of 6 partnership under JOB-EOR contract systems, 12 partnership under JOB-TAC contract systems, 34 partnership under TAC contract systems, 1 partnership under Consortium Cooperation System, 3 project loans, and 8 partnership under IP/PPI contract systems. Meanwhile there are 8 Joint Operating Contracts for geothermal exertion.

Among 64 of oil and gas contracts within the joint operation arrangement, 30 contracts are in the commercial-producing stage and the other areas are still in the exploration stage.

To develop its exploration and production business, Pertamina Upstream has made a step forward through strategic alliances with domestic and foreign partners. Pertamina Upstream has prospective business in oil and gas drilling services called Pertamina Drilling Service (PDS), which owns 28 drilling-rig units.

In the gas transmission business, Pertamina Upstream has 3800 km total length of gas pipeline and 64 compressor stations.

Downstream Activities
Directorate engages in the activities of oil and gas refining, and managing the distribution and marketing of the refined products. The main objective of its activities is to meet the domestic market fuel demand, also non-fuel and petrochemical demand in the domestic and international markets.

Processing, Pertamina operates 7 fuel refineries, 2 LPG plants, and 2 LNG & LPG plants. Some fuel refineries also process non-fuel and petrochemical products.

Shipping, Pertamina has sea transportation fleet to carry oil and gas, and to distribute fuel, non-fuel, and petrochemical products for domestic and export market. It is conducted using owned and chartered tankers. The other activities are brokerage, ship agency, crewing, etc. In 2002, the activities are conducted by 130 units of tankers which consist of 32 units owned by Pertamina, 96 units of chartered tankers, and 2 units of floating storage. The tanker fleet is capable to offer transportation with 48.9 million Long Ton capacity.

Marketing and Trading, Main Marketing activities cover business activities in marketing fuel, lube oil, LPG, LNG, aviation, petrochemical, and other non-fuel products for domestic market. Export and import is conducted by Trading.

Fuel Business, Pertamina market fuel products for the needs of industry, land transportation, household (retail), and bunker.

Lube Oil Business, Pertamina has Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Cilacap with 573,000 kilo liter annual total capacity (2 shifts/day). The product is used for industrial machinery, automotive machine, marine engine, etc. Pertamina is currently the market leader in Indonesia lube oil business.

LPG Business, LPG business has good prospect in the future because the market growth and demand are relatively high. It has not given profit contribution because the market price has not reach the economical level.

LNG Business, Pertamina has long experience in LNG business and has an excellent reputation in international market. Aviation Business, The rapid development of air transportation will stimulate the aviation business growth. Pertamina has the resources and infrastructure for aviation business in all airports in Indonesia. The products has meet the international standard requirements.

Petrochemical and Non-Fuels Business, Pertamina has refineries which produce various non-fuels and petrochemical products for domestic and international markets. This is a profitable business for Pertamina.

Distribution and Marketing Network, In distributing fuel, non-fuel, gas, and petrochemical products for domestic market, Pertamina operates 8 Marketing Units located throughout Indonesia. Pertamina storage facilities comprise of 24 units of in-land depo, 97 units of sea-fed depo, 53 units of aviation depo with 1,308 units of tanks and 1,051 kilometers pipeline. Maximum storage capacity reaches 13.6 million kiloliters.

The distribution channels include over-land, by sea and by air. To expand its distribution network for its products, Pertamina and partners have developed a range of supporting facilities for its distribution activities.
Downstream Business Products

In general, the Downstream products consist of fuel, special fuel, non-fuel and petrochemical, gas, and other products. Fuel products, comprise of Premium, Kerosene, Autogas, Automotive Diesel Oil (ADO), and Industrial Fuel Oil (IFO).

Special Fuel products, comprise of Aviation Gasoline (Avigas), Aviation Turbin Fuel (Avtur), Super TT, Premix 94, Pertamax, and Pertamax Plus.

As part of its expansion into the global market, state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina began shipments of three brands of lubricants comprising a total of 16,000 liters to Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, Pertamina’s lubricants will compete with products from other major lubricant suppliers, including Shell, BP, Castrol, Fuchs, Total, Conoco, Caltex and 45 other brands, Harun reported. “Boleh membuka seleksi CPNS dengan beberapa persyaratan tadi,” kata Kaiman, tadi siang. Namun, penerimaan seleksi CPNS hanya terbuka untuk formasi tertentu di antaranya tenaga pendidikan seperti guru, tenaga kesehatan seperti dokter, bidan dan perawat, serta posisi pada bidang khusus yang dibutuhkan dan dianggap mendesak.

Sementara untuk formasi umum lainnya tetap diberlakukan moratorium (penundaan sementara). “Semua usulan formasi tersebut tetap harus melalui persetujuan pemerintah pusat,bukan berarti otomatis dapat diakomodasi. Harus ada penelitian lanjutan untuk melihat kebenaran mengenai kebutuhan formasi yang dimaksud di daerah,” paparnya.

ITM’s performance was commendable in all key areas in 2009. Earnings were up by 43% thanks to higher
production better mine management and effective cost control measures and lower fuel prices. The safety record was good and new governance procedures were successfully implemented. With a professional and efficient operating framework now firmly in place, the completion of the Bontang Coal Terminal (BoCT) expansion imminent, and a strong balance sheet, ITM is well positioned for future growth.

Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk delivered a strong financial result in 2009, with an increase in Net Profit After Tax of 43% versus 2008 to US$336 million. On a per share basis this was equivalent to EPS1 growth from US$21 cents in 2008 to US$30 cents per share in 2009. The earnings performance was driven ultimately by higher coal output and cost efficiencies generating increased revenues and higher margins.

While in 2009, ITM booked foreign exchange gains compared to losses in the previous year, the main factor boosting earnings was the substantial rise in EBITDA2 from US$388 million to US$492 million, in turn a function of higher sales, increased gross profit margin (38% versus 36% in 2008) and tighter SG&A3. ITM’s net sales grew 15% from US$1,317 million to US$1,508 million in 2009 due to 18% increase in sales volume from 17.8 mt to 21.0 mt – and in spite of a fall in the average selling price from US$73.9 to US$71.5 per tonne.

At year end, ITM still has a strong balance sheet with total assets of US$1,199 million and a substantial net cash position (after all interest-bearing debt). ITM can easily fund its planned capital expenditure from its cash - and is in a position, if necessary, to gear up to take advantage of any major new acquisition opportunities. While ITM will continue to be cautious in our evaluation and analysis of investment, merger and acquisition ideas, ITM will continue to be proactive and will not hesitate to seize any opportunities where we believe we can create value and deliver superior returns to our shareholders.

Sales volume of coal to North-East Asia represented just over half of all sales in 2009 (54%) comprising 4.2 mt to Japan, 4.0 mt to China, 2.6 mt to Taiwan and 0.6 mt to Korea. Coal sales to South-East Asia accounted for 29% of total sales including 2.0 mt to Thailand, 1.8 mt to the Philippines, 1.3 mt to Indonesia and 0.9 mt to Malaysia. The remaining were sold to customers in India (2.2 mt) and Italy (1.4 mt). ITM continues to benefit from a strong marketing team and the ability to blend coals from several different pits and site operations. On average around three quarters of ITM’s coals are blended before delivery to customers, ensuring that we meet customer specifications and maximise pricing.

The Newcastle Export Index for spot thermal coal price on high grade coal from Australia to Japan (known as the ‘NEX’ or previously called the ‘BJI’) decrease from an average of around US$80 per tonne in January 2009 to around US$63 in March 2009. From the end of the first quarter onwards, the NEX was generally on an upward trend returning to levels similar to the beginning of the year by December driven by global economic recovery and rapid rates of coal consumption growth in China and other key Asian countries. Due to the time lags between contract and shipments and coal quality differences, ITM’s average selling prices in 2009 mainly reflected the downward coal price trend of the end of 2008 and early 2009.

ITM beat its target of 20 mt saleable coal in 2009, with a final output of 21.4 mt for the year. The result was achieved through better operating efficiency, better mine planning and more favourable weather conditions than the previous year. The second half of 2009 saw first output contributions from East Block and PT Kitadin (Embalut), at 1.9 mt and 0.7 mt respectively. PT Indominco Mandiri’s total output (from West Block and East Block) was 12.4 mt, up from 10.7 mt in 2008, while PT Trubaindo Coal Mining’s output increased to 5.2 mt from 4.5 mt the year before. PT Jorong Barutama Greston’s output at 3.1 mt was also higher than the previous year’s output due to better water management and mine planning.

Some progress was made on the expansion program at BoCT. The new port stockyard expansion and in-loading system have been completed. Conveyor belt capacity has been upgraded and installation of the barge loader has been completed. Another part of the expansion project, the coal barge unloader, has also recently been commissioned. The remaining work, including the commissioning of the coal-fired power plant is expected to be completed in 2010. With these improvements, our throughput capacity to and from the terminal will significantly increase along with better service to our customers, greater efficiency and lower costs. It will also enable us to handle coal from other ITM mines (PT Trubaindo Coal Mining, PT Kitadin, PT Jorong Barutama Greston and PT Bharinto Ekatama), allowing us to be less dependent on third-party logistic arrangements.

Since our listing on the Indonesian Stock Exchange just over two years ago, ITM has made very real efforts to follow the example of its major shareholder in striving towards the development and implementation of best practice governance systems. While we still have more to do in this area, I can see that impressive results have been achieved and that all management and staff are now operating within a sound and professional governance framework. In 2009, ITM completed and distributed the Code of Conduct and GCG Policy manuals to ITM employees and ensured comprehension and adoption through an intensive communication program. I believe that employees at all levels within the organisation could benefit through a greater confidence in relation to their rights and obligations as well as better clarity in their day-to-day work and decision-making processes.

In 2009, ITM have tried to be consistent in our investor relations program with quarterly results presentations, regular analyst and investor meetings and a level of disclosure transparency which we hope goes beyond basic stock exchange and accounting compliance. Our objective is to give investors and analysts the information needed to assess the value dynamics of ITM. In addition to the communication of our performance and achievements we also try to explain clearly any ‘bad news’ or unexpected events.

The long term approach we take to develop trust with the investment community also applies to our relationships with other stakeholders. We continue to work closely with the communities around our mining sites to support social and economic development, and environmental protection. We encourage local community involvement from the project planning stage up to implementation and operation. • Receiving and processing requisition for quotation from vessel to order spare part, lubricant oil, and maintenance repair
• Preparing request for quotation from vendors or source new vendors
• Negotiating terms (price, quantity, delivery date)
• To get approval from technical manager
• Preparing and submitting purchase order to vendor
• Serving as liaison betweeen technical department, vessel and vendor on issues regarding delivery, quality, incomplete, and damage shipment
• Keeping record of purchase order, price and quality of major vendors
