1. Bust Up Gum. Are you a woman? Unhappy with your breast size? Well, the makers of Bust Up Gum claim chewing their gum can make your breasts fuller and firmer. They also claim the gum can improve the look of your hair and nails.

2. Yuzu Kit Kat. It’s safe to say Japan has some odd twists on an English and American favorite, the Kit Kat bar. In this version, they add Yuzu (a Japanese cross between a lemon and a lime) and . . . hot pepper. Yes, hot pepper.

3. No Time Gum. Out and about? No time to brush your teeth? This gum is a brilliant way to keep your teeth clean. Simply pop it into your mouth and chew after a meal.

4. Suplitol Tongkat Ali Gum for Men. The makers of Bust Up Gum also make a gum for men—this one to enlarge penis size.

5. Echizen Kurage candy. Already reported by Weird Asian News, this candy is made from echizen kurage, a 6-foot, 440-pound jellyfish. Developed by students at Obama Fisheries High School, this confectionary comes in the flavor of a combination of jellyfish and caramel.

6. Every Burger. Have you ever craved a bourbon chocolate cookie that absolutely must be shaped like a hamburger? Well, search no more. Every Burger has what you need.

If chocolate is not your thing, but Burgers still are, then you might enjoy some burger flavored hard candies… Yum!
7. Ika. This concoction consists of dried squid covered in chocolate. Hey, why not? The French did it with ants, you know.

8. Okonomiyaki Drops. Another candy drop based on okonomiyaki, or “Japanese pizza.” Mayo, cabbage, and radish flavorings abound in this drop. Yum.

9. Grilled Lamb caramels. That’s right: grilled lamb flavored caramels.

10. Pepperfruits. This particular gum is made of different types of fruit mixed with peppercorn. Hold on : this isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Supposedly, peppercorn is a fruit. See? Fruity, peppery. Totally works.

11. Takoyaki Drops. A candy drop based on takoyaki, a food in which octopus is dropped into a ball of cooking batter, then topped with Japanese mayonnaise and green onions, this little sweet is said to “taste like a meal.”

12. Cake Soda. You may not be able to have your cake and eat it, too . . . but you can drink it. This lovely light soda is sure to give you tooth decay. But hey, after drinking you can always pop in a piece of No Time Gum.

13. Chocolate Beer. To be fair, the Japanese aren’t the first to mix beer and chocolate. Perhaps the makers thought they’d kill two pleasures with one stone.

14. Green Tea Milk Kit Kats. What? No time for that cup of green milk tea? Get it in your Kit Kat bar.

15. Campaign candy. It seems Japan was as interested in American’s elections in 2008 as Americans were. They made candy with Obama’s and McCain’s likeness, as well as candy pieces that said, “Vote.”

16. Drug candy. No, this isn’t what you’re thinking. It’s just candy spiked with supplements to give you energy or increase your brain function.

17. Chocolate art. These sweets are pure chocolate, but the reason they are manufactured may sound a little weird to American women: in Japan, Valentine’s day is for men, and these chocolates are given to men from women on Valentine’s day.

18. Gummy Choco. Please. You know you love gummy candy with a . . . chocolate coating.

19. Coffee chewing gum. For that long-lasting coffee breath. Come to think of it, we have this, too. It’s called Starbucks.

20. Deviled egg candy. Not sure what the appeal is of candy shaped like real food, but this one misses the boat if you’re looking for that charming real egg depression for the “yolk.”

Man Almost Loses Penis Humping Steel Bench

Last night in Hong Kong, the police received a disturbing call from a man in trouble.
Xing, a 41 year-old man, was calling from LanTian park in the middle of the night. The lonely and disturbed man had apparently thought it would be fun to have sex with one of the steel sit-up benches around the park.
The bench has numerous small holes in it, which Xing used to attempt to satisfy himself.

However, once he became aroused he found that he was stuck and could not get his penis out of the small hole.
He panicked and called the police to help him.

When police arrive they found Xian stuck face down where he had been stuck for some time.
When doctors arrived on the scene they tried to release some of the pressure by removing some of his blood, but the penis was so swollen that they ended up having to cut the entire bench free and take it, with Xian attached, to the hospital.

4 painful hours later, Doctors finally separated Xian from his bench.
Doctors stated that if he had been stuck for even an hour longer, they would have had to remove his penis.

Lets just say this is probably one bad date that Xing will never forget.

2,000,000+ Naked Hindu Men and Counting….

Public nudity is a frightening prospect responsible for countless people screaming, “OMG! I’m naked!” in their dreams. No such fear burdened the minds of over 2 million Hindu men, however, as they waddled butt-naked through the Ganges River in celebration of Kumbh Mela.

Kumbh Mela is a mass pilgrimage wherein men, especially holy men (Sadhus), travel long distances and endure numerous physical discomforts for a chance to wash away their sins. You see, devout Hindus strongly believe that the Ganges River holds the power to eliminate past sins (Karma), thereby freeing the individual from the cycle of life and death (Moksha) and bringing them closer to the supreme being (Braham).
The 100-day festival occurs every three years across four cities: Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. The pictures included in this piece derive from Haridwar, where on February 12^th, the Pratham Shani Snan (or First Royal Bath) was celebrated.

Anil Sharma, a lawyer who attended the festivities, explained the baths further, saying, “Because of the way the stars are aligned during the Kumbh, all the good things you do get multiplied and your sins are washed away.” According to Hindu astrologers, in fact, the Kumbh Mela occurs whenever the planet Jupiter enters Aquarius and the Sun enters Aries.

The actual mythology behind Kumbh Mela is somewhat different, however. Ancient Hindu literature speaks of a war between the gods and demons over nectar needed to achieve a state of total immortality. During this conflict, four droplets of nectar spilled onto the Earth and landed at the four cities mentioned above.
As for the actual festivities, the truth is that not everyone was butt-naked. Some wore undergarments, while others merely smeared their bodies with ash. And on the outskirts of the river were throngs of cheering and dancing supporters, not to mention thousands of Po-Pos assigned to prevent stampedes and protect from a terrorist attack.

“We are keeping an eye on every moment,” said deputy inspector Alok Sharma. “We are well prepared for this day.”

This year’s festivities were of special importance because the Sadhus are trying to highlight the issue of global warming. Soham Baba, the de facto leader of the Sadhus, elaborated, “Sadhus like us who go up to the higher reaches of the Himalayas to meditate have a clear picture of how bad the situation is.”
He added, “Pristine lakes and waterfalls that existed till a few years ago have dried up.”

Baby Dinosaurs Fell Prey To Giant Snake

An incredible window into the prehistoric past has been opened by the scientific, life-like, reconstruction of the nearly complete remains of an 11-foot long, 67 million year old serpent that was found near a village in Gujarat in western India.
A team of paleontologists from all over the world meticulously prepared the fossil.
Coiled around a crushed dinosaur egg in the nest of a sauropod, the largest dinosaur that ever lived, the snake was given the moniker, Sanajeh indicus, which translates roughly into “ancient-gaped one from India.”
The scientific name tells a story about snake evolution, as unlike modern snakes, this one couldn’t eat large prey because it lacked mobile skull and a wide gape.

Depicted above in this sculpture by Tyler Keillor, which was enhanced by original photography by Ximena Erickson and modified by Bonnie Miljour, is a representation of the first and last sight of a newborn dinosaur, unable to defend itself against a giant adversary.
“We think that the hatchling had just exited its egg, and that activity attracted the snake. It was such a thrill to discover such a portentous moment frozen in time,” explained paleontologist, Dhananjay Mohabey, from the Geological Survey of India who first discovered the snake in 1987.
The area where the fossilized remains were found contains hundreds of egg clutches and findings suggest that this newly discovered serpent survived by preying upon dinosaur nests and eating the newly-hatched babies. From all suggested evidence, these hatchlings were left by adults to fend for themselves.
“It would have been a smorgasbord… Hundreds or thousands of defenseless baby sauropods could have supported an ecosystem of predators during the hatching season, said researcher Jason Head, a paleontologist at the University of Toronto at Mississauga.
The discovery of this snake also suggests another theory about dinosaurs that contradicts popular belief of the last century; namely that dinosaurs grew slowly and lived up to 8 decades.
“More recent research suggests they actually grew very fast, reaching say three-fourths of adult body size in their teens and living to 30 or 40 years old. After their first year, they might be about 2 meters long (6 feet), too big for this snake to take in,” says paleontologist, Jeff Wilson, from the University of Michigan.

India’s Pot-Smoking Hindu Temple Dwellers

Weed, pot, ganja, dope, mary jane, reefer, skunk, and chronic—they all refer to marijuana, that illicit substance used by so many, yet illegal across most of the civilized world. Despite the ‘war on drugs,’ pot smokers continue to light up in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and even India.

Hinduism has long been associated with pot. Since approximately 1500 BC, in fact, Hindu worshipers have been consuming pot—whether smoking it through a chillum [clay pipe] or drinking bhang, a mixture consisting of the pot mixed with milk, spice, and sugar—in the hope of achieving a higher spiritual level.
Consider Bangalore’s Chitradurga district in Karnataka state, southern India. It’s a hilly region lined with dilapidated fortresses from times of antiquity; modern-day schools, colleges, and libraries; and many temples, one of which is notorious for its pot-smoking Hindu inhabitants.
According to Jaipal Sharma from Asian News International, every March the temple’s devotees smoke pot in celebration of their diety Nayakana Hatti Tipperudraswami, whom they claim is the incarnation of Hindu God Lord Shiva. He says that the tradition has been occurring for over 800 years.
“He (Tipperudraswami) attained Moksha (salvation) at this place,” a member of the temple committee told Sharma. And so the devotees believe that by smoking pot, they can follow in Tipperuddaswami’s path and also attain salvation.
What’s interesting, however, is that the temple devotees refuse to share their pot, a trait quite unusual since most pot smokers love to share their stash with anybody willing to participate.
An irritated hermit shared this sentiment with Sharma, saying, “In our Shavana community, many people call it as ‘Ganja’ or ‘Patri.’ But it is none of these. It is ‘Shiva Patri.” He also added, “I should say that only the Shavana community should be allowed to smoke it. No other people have authority over it.”

Hong Kong is a vibrant city chock-full of people — so much so that the quality of life for those at the bottom tier is atrocious. And I’m not talking about, “Oh my goodness, I have to share a bathroom with my brother and sister.” I’m talking about up to 18 strangers being smashed into a tiny 625 square foot flat with just one toilet to share.

One such former cage-dweller is Chau Kam-chuen. Mr. Kam-chuen used to be one of over 400,000 working poor who paid approximately $167.6 USD to live in such an environment. According to him, it’s extremely uncomfortable, especially if you get the top bunk: “You hit your head on the ceiling.”

The way it works is that a flat is chosen and then partitioned into multiple cubicles, each composed of wooden planks and wire mesh. Each cubicle then becomes home to one resident.

The cage that the woman sits in above contains all her possessions, from clothes to cooking supplies and even family heirlooms. Realistically speaking, the cage is smaller than a jail cell; yet, these cages house thousands of poverty-stricken men and women who have nowhere else to turn.

And they aren’t comfortable either. Oftentimes, the air-conditioning and heating doesn’t work. Or if it does work, it rarely gets turned on before 9m. As Lai Man-law, an employed man from Hong Kong explained, “It’s dirty and hot. There are cockroaches and bedbugs, and the air-conditioning doesn’t work.”
One wonders though why someone would choose to live like this. Most of these people have no alternative option. These are normal everyday citizens who befell upon hard times and ended up unemployed, homeless, and struggling to make ends meet. The horrific floods of 2008 didn’t help either, as it forced many into homelessness and poverty.

To bring this unfortunate situation to light, Hong Kong’s Schoeni Gallery decided to focus their annual art charity event on displaying these cages directly to the public. Their goal was to showcase the widening gap between the poor and rich in Hong Kong.

The cages displayed are real cages from real flats. In fact, the man pictured above is Mr. Kam-chuen himself. He hopes that this event inspires more people to offer a helping hand to those in need — especially the poor cage dwellers of Hong Kong.

Marriage School To Find Mr. or Mrs. Right

One can go to school for just about anything these days. Still, who ever would have thought that getting married would involve a skill set that needs to be officially taught? The Infini School in Tokyo, Japan, that’s who.

For that wannabe spouse of either sex, the Infini School, which is an offshoot of the charm school of ages ago, teaches its students a different set of ABCs (perhaps, attitude, beatitude and charm?).

The school is flourishing in a time when many Japanese are avoiding the institution of marriage or at the very least, finding it very difficult to find some one with whom to share their lives.
The school, which opened last month and has thirty female students, directs potential brides and grooms specifically on how to deal with in-laws and how to talk, walk and present oneself in a socially elegant manner. Men are also enrolled but for some reason most do not show up for most classes.
“I had never even thought that my boyfriend’s mother could play such a big role in my relationship, but now I’ve realized I need to start thinking seriously about how to impress my future in-laws,” said Kozue Sugawara, 29.
In Japan, nearly two-thirds of women under the age of 34 are single and there are thousands of companies offering matchmaking services. This phenomenon is due to a number of factors, including women’s growing economic power and a shift in national attitude about marriage.
“Before, people would find it easy to get married because families and society would connect them in some way, sometimes pushing them to get married. But nowadays, people have too many choices and cannot seem to make up their minds,” says Etsuko Satake, principal of the Infini marriage prep school.

For an annual fee of 200,000 yen (about $2,200 US dollars), students have unlimited access to classes and are entitled to one-on-one instruction about attire, eating and dating etiquette, posture, verbal communication and even the finer points of poise, such as, the proper way to cross one’s legs when exiting a vehicle.
“Konkatsu,” or spouse-hunting activities represent a renewed interest in economic stability. It can only be hoped that these students will have enough money left to start a savings account after they finish paying for the school!

1. Durian

Durian is a fruit that grows throughout southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Malaysia. The fruit has a distinctive odor that has been compared to a strong cheese, almonds, or manure. Because of this, some public transportation systems in Asia have forbidden passengers to carry the durian.
The soft flesh of the durian is encased in a hard, thorny covering, and if one of these fruits was to fall on your head, you could be seriously hurt. But the durian can also prove deadly in combination with alcohol. According to researchers at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, Durian contains a sulphur-like compound that, when ingested, makes it hard for the liver to break down alcohol.
So if you’ve been drinking to excess and snacking on Durian, you may be at risk for liver damage or even severe alcohol poisoning that could prove fatal.
2. Monkey Brains

Long considered a delicacy in China, eating monkey brains can cause a disease similar to mad cow, known as Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
What does that mean for you? Well, basically, your brain could turn into something with as many holes as a slice of Swiss cheese.
3. Cassava/Yuca

Cassava is used to make snacks, as well as tapioca (which is what the “bubbles” in bubble tea are made from). However, if it is prepared incorrectly, cassava can contains dangerous levels of cyanide.
Cassava poisoning, also known as “Konzo”, can lead to paralysis or even death.

4. Thai Bat Soup/Grilled Chinese Rat

Both of these dishes are on the list for the same reason: the meat used to prepare these local specialities can contain dangerous parasites or pathogens.
If improperly cooked, the meat from these creatures can cause serious illness, or even death in very extreme cases.

5. Fugu

Fugu, aka pufferfish, is completely safe to eat when properly prepared. However, the liver is extremely toxic, and only licensed Japanese chefs are allowed to prepare fugu. If a plate of fugu has been incorrectly prepared, a person may consume dangerous amounts of tetrodotoxin.
This leads to numbness, then pain, and finally a paralysis so complete that even the muscles of the diaphragm stop working, essentially smothering you to death.

Cell Phone Call Costs North Korean His Life

There are many dangers of urban life but, up until now, getting executed for cell phone use was not one of them. This tragic event took place in North Korea where authorities captured, tortured and then executed a man for violating the country’s cell phone ban.

Jung, the man in question, was found guilty of calling a friend in South Korea.
He was initially captured by the police at his home and taken away. Soon afterwards, he was interrogated by police where he confessed about his phone activities. This included complaining to his friend about the terrible conditions in North Korea.
Soon afterwards, he was killed via firing squad for disobeying the law.
North Korea has stringent laws regarding cell phone usage. The authorities only allow folks to make national calls and even these ones are restricted to the Pyongyang area. Thus, there was a ban on making any international calls.
The state especially frowned upon any calls being made to its southern counterpart.
In the past, North Korea bigwigs have been known to roam the Chinese border in hopes of picking up cell phone usage.
In these cases, they were secret police officers who used cell phone signal detectors that in turn, which helped them pinpoint anyone chatting away on a cell phone.

Music can soothe the body and mind by slowing down one’s heart rate, encouraging deeper and more relaxed breathing, and even inspiring happy thoughts. Do you suppose then that ringtones could do the same thing?
Matsumi Suzuki sure thinks so!

Mr. Suzuki is the head of the Japan Ringing Tone Laboratory, an organization responsible for producing 27 therapeutic ringtones that they claim can help ease the stress of a bad day, reduce the uncomfortable effects of a hangover, cure insomnia, keep one awake, and even frighten away a threatening crow.
The ringtones have been a complete success since their release by Japanese mobile content provider Index.
A spokesperson for Index told TimesOnline (UK), “The number of downloads suggests the ringtones must be working to a certain extent.” He did, however, also admit that the actual scientific data, which he dubbed ‘actual experimentation,’ is rather limited.
This, by the way, is the same company that offers an iPhone app (Bowlingual) for translating a dog’s bark.
The concept of a therapeutic ringtone dates back to Dr. Hideto Tomabechi, who, in 2004, developed a ringtone that could supposedly make a woman’s breasts grow. Mr. Suziki from the Ringing Tone Laboratory built on Tomabechi’s idea by creating a synthetic mosquito ‘noise’ that could purportedly discourage teenagers from “congregating in parks at midnight.”
Years later and now we have therapeutic ringtones that can help one quite smoking, increase one’s attraction to the opposite sex, and even improve memory.
Regardless of credibility, the ringtones have found an audience among Japanese’s youth. The question remains though: But does it really work? Or are kids merely purchasing it for a cheap laugh? That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the question!

This popular Hollywood cookie diet seems to be a new trendy, and many people claims it actually works. Over the next six months he dropped a further 13 kilograms, married Sumiko and posted his story on Mixi, Japan's version of MySpace, to instant acclaim from other desperate dieters.

The story became the first of a series of banana-diet books which have sold more than 600,000 copies - making Hitoshi a publishing sensation. The saturation media coverage has helped drive a huge run on bananas. And since, Tokyo Broadcasting System ran a TV program last month about how the former opera singer Kumiko Mori knocked 7 kilograms off.

The fruit's newfound popularity has been attributed to the simplicity of Hitoshi's weight-loss method. Dieters are expected to dine by 8pm and be in bed by midnight. They should avoid, but not necessarily cut out, alcohol and fatty foods. Best of all: they should feel no obligation to exercise. The Egg diet

The Egg Diet has become increasingly popular due to reports that some well-known people and celebrities have successfully lost weight by eating only eggs. Apparently, Nigella Lawson's husband Charles Saatchi, lost over sixty pounds by eating nine eggs a day for ten months. There is also discussion that Adrian Brody lost 30 pounds in six weeks in preparation for his role in the Pianist by following the Egg Diet. He has since explained that he actually followed a variation of the diet where he ate eggs for breakfast, a small piece of grilled chicken for lunch and a small piece of fish with steamed vegetables for dinner.

There are several versions of the Egg Diet that are circulating on the Internet. The most popular version of the diet does not actually consist of eating only eggs but it does involve getting the majority of your protein from egg.

Waves in this spectrum are not visible to the naked eye but they are visible to the CCD chip in your camcorder. These “near infrared” light waves are the waves that are penetrating the material and reflecting an image of the body surface. The camcorder can pick up all these waves and records them. In order capture the x-ray effect you must block out the visible light waves or they will overtake your image drowning out the infrared image.

Normally the nightshot or nightvision mode was to be used only at night when there is very very little white light or (visible light) as we know it. However there are no girls out on the beach at night so we had to trick the camera into thinking it was night. We do this by screwing a filter on the lens that only lets the “near infrared light” (750 nanometers or more) into the camera. All the visible light waves are blocked out (750 and below). If you were to hold this filter up to the sun you will not be able to see thru it. It is totally black! But when you screw it on the camcorder and look in the viewfinder you can see a perfect black and white image. This is the x-ray vision technology that you see in use here.

In a bid to prevent people taking sneak see-though snapshots of female athletes using infrared photography, a sports equipment manufacturer here has developed underwear that blocks out infrared rays.

The underwear was produced by Cramer Japan. The company’s president, Takashi Hokazono, said he hoped it would help athletes feel more at ease.

“It will probably release them from the fear of not knowing when or by whom they will next be photographed, and allow them to concentrate on their events, leading to better results,” he said.

Infrared rays can pass through many materials, and when taking photographs with special equipment that blocks out visible light, there are cases in which the skin underneath people’s clothing can be captured on film.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of people using infrared light to take sneak see-through photographs of female athletes and children at school sports events. Sporting groups and school officials have raised concerns about such photography.

Some swimsuit manufacturers have already released products that block out infrared rays, but there have also been calls for the introduction of protective clothing for other sports. Cramer Japan introduced its products after being approached by the Inter-University Athletic Union of Japan over the problem. It spent two years developing the clothing with textile manufacturer Toyobo, and Toyoshima, a wholesaler and trader of fabrics.

The first item in the line of Cramer Japan’s “Shot Guard” products is a pair of underpants. By blocking out infrared rays with underwear, athletes can wear their uniforms and school sports gear on top without worrying about being secretly filmed.

The company plans to keep improving the material and is set to introduce new products such as breast pads.

“By introducing conditions that make photography more difficult, the number of malicious photographers will decrease, and we hope that our products will be of some help in eliminating such photography altogether,” Hokazono said.

The underwear retails for 2,000 yen apiece.

Google baru-baru ini menyatakan siap mengundurkan diri dari China dan menutup seluruh operasional mereka di sana. Alasannya, raksasa mesin pencari itu sudah tidak tahan dengan gelombang serangan yang dilancarkan para hacker asal negeri tirai bambu tersebut.

David Drummond, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Legal Officer Google menyebutkan, pihaknya mendapati adanya ‘serangan yang sangat canggih’ yang berasal dari China terhadap infrastuktur Google.

“Serangan-serangan ini membuat kami memutuskan untuk meninjau kelayakan operasi bisnis kami di China,” sebut Drummond blog resmi Google, 12 Januari 2010.

Langkah Google yang memilih mundur dari China menunjukkan dahsyatnya komunitas hacker di negeri tersebut.

Sampai Juli 2008, diperkirakan terdapat 4 juta orang hacker yang tergabung dalam berbagai komunitas hacker. Salah satunya adalah kelompok hacker khusus wanita yang menamakan diri Cn Girl Security Team.

Kelompok hacker ini dipimpin oleh gadis kelahiran Hunan, 6 September 1989 bernama Xiao Tian.

Dalam benak, kita mungkin membayangkan bahwa tipikal seorang hacker adalah remaja yang beranjak dewasa, dengan penampilan seadanya – kalau tidak dibilang buruk rupa – dengan kacamata tebal, perokok berat, rambut acak-acakan tak terawat dan jarang mandi karena menghabiskan sebagian besar hidupnya di depan komputer.

Ternyata tidak demikian dengan Xiao Tian. Meski menyebutkan ia sering begadang dan sesekali merokok, tetapi penampilannya sangat apik. Sepintas, melihat penampilannya, Anda mungkin tak akan menyangka bahwa ia merupakan pimpinan dari kelompok hacker yang anggotanya mencapai lebih dari 2.200 orang hacker wanita.

Xiao Tian menyebutkan, ia membuat kelompok tersebut karena ia merasa bahwa perlu ada tempat bagi gadis remaja sepertinya, yang merasa tersingkirkan dari dunia hacker yang disesaki oleh hacker pria yang menganggap bahwa hacker wanita tidak memiliki skill yang cukup.

Scott Henderson, seorang pensiunan tentara AS yang merupakan pengamat dan penulis The Dark Visitor: Inside the World of Chinese Hackers pernah menyebutkan pada DNA India. “Aspek unik dari hacker China adalah rasa nasionalisme dan kolektivitas. Ini kontras dengan stereotip hacker barat yang umumnya mandiri dan bekerja secara individual di ruang bawah tanah tempat tinggal mereka,” ucapnya.

Akan tetapi, belakangan, kecenderungan yang terjadi adalah ‘tentara cyber’ tersebut terpecah-pecah dan membentuk kriminal kapitalis dan mulai meninggalkan rasa nasionalisme mereka.
