Sebuah toko yang menjual istri baru saja dibuka di sebuah kota besar. Para pria dapat memilih seorang istri di dalamnya.
Di pintu masuk terdapat instruksi yang menunjukkan peraturan untuk memilih wanita yang ada di toko tersebut.
“Kamu hanya dapat mengunjungi toko ini di setiap lantai satu kali.”
Toko tersebut terdiri dari 6 lantai. Di setiap lantainya terdapat sebuah kelompok calon istri. Semakin tinggi lantainya, semakin tinggi pula nilai calon istri tersebut.
Pria yang datang dapat memilih wanita di lantai satu atau lantai berikutnya, tetapi dengan syarat tidak bisa turun ke lantai sebelumnya, kecuali keluar dari toko.
Alkisah, seorang pria datang ke toko istri tersebut untuk mencari calon istri. Di lantai 1, terdapat tulisan seperti ini: “Wanita di lantai ini memiliki pekerjaan dan taat kepada Tuhan.” Pria itu tersenyum merasa senang. Kemudian ia naik ke lantai selanjutnya.
Di lantai 2, terdapat tulisan seperti ini: “Wanita di lantai ini memiliki pekerjaan, taat kepada Tuhan, dan senang anak kecil.” Pria itu makin bersemangat dan berpikir di lantai atas pasti lebih bagus lagi, dan ia pun naik ke lantai selanjutnya.
Di lantai 3, pria itu menemukan tulisan seperti ini: “Wanita di lantai ini memiliki pekerjaan, taat pada Tuhan, senang anak kecil, dan cantik sekali.” Pria itu menggumam, “Wah, sudah oke banget sih, tapi kan masih ada dua lantai lagi, naik lagi ah.. Lihat lagi.”
Sampailah pria itu di lantai 4, dan ia menemukan tulisan seperti ini: “Wanita di lantai ini memiliki pekerjaan, taat pada Tuhan, senang anak kecil, cantik sekali, dan suka memasak.”
Pria itu berseru, “Wow! Aku hampir-hampir tak percaya.”
Namun, ia tetap melanjutkannya ke lantai 5. Dan, ia menemukan tulisan seperti ini: “Wanita di lantai ini memiliki pekerjaan, taat pada Tuhan, senang anak kecil, cantik sekali, suka memasak, dan humoris.”
Pria itu tergoda untuk berhenti, tetapi rasa penasarannya membuat ia naik lagi. Gumamnya, “Ah, siapa tahu ada satu tambahan yang oke lagi.”
Ia pun melangkah menuju ke lantai 6 dan mendapati tulisan seperti ini: “Anda adalah pengunjung yang ke-3.888.999. Tidak ada wanita di lantai ini. Lantai ini membuktikan bahwa para pria di dunia tidak pernah puas. Terima kasih telah berbelanja di toko `istri’.”

Bintang film panas asal Jepang, Maria Ozawa alias Miyabi (23), mengaku siap bermain film bareng vokalis Nazriel Irham alias Ariel (29), yang kini berstatus tersangka kasus video porno.

"Aku tertarik kepada dia bukan lantaran melihat video porno itu, tapi karena secara fisik dia laki-laki bertubuh bagus dan wajahnya pun tampan. Mungkin saja pada waktunya nanti aku bisa bermain bareng dalam sebuah film," kata Miyabi dalam bahasa Inggris.

Ungkapan Miyabi itu dikemukakan kepada Warta Kota melalui sarana Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP-komunikasi bergambar via jalur internet), Kamis (1/7/2010) pukul 14.00.

Miyabi juga mengungkapkan rasa simpatinya terhadap Ariel yang terjerat kasus video mesum dan terhadap dua wanita yang diduga jadi lawan main Ariel dalam film itu, yakni Cut Tari (33) dan Luna Maya (27).

Mengapa memilih film roman horor, atau komedi? Miyabi menjelaskan, saat pertama kali melihat wajah Ariel dalam dua video adegan ranjang, dia meyakini lelaki yang pernah gagal membangun rumah tangga itu punya karakter yang tegas, namun juga bisa romantis jika dilihat dari tatapan matanya.

"Benar, aku mau main film bareng Ariel jika ada kesempatan. Hanya saja, aku sama sekali tidak tahu bagaimana perkembangan kasusnya sekarang. Apakah benar Ariel yang karena video itu disebut peterporn jadi tahanan polisi? Kalau benar, wah kasihan juga ya dia. Lalu bagaimana dengan dua teman wanitanya yang cantik-cantik itu, apakah juga akan ditahan?" kata Miyabi.
Rupanya, simpati Miyabi itu muncul lantaran sejak memiliki video yang diduga diperankan Ariel, Luna Maya, dan Cut Tari, dia selalu mengikuti perkembangan kasusnya. LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Eva Mendes was crowned as the most desirable woman of 2009 on Wednesday in a poll by online men's magazine AskMen.com that organizers swear is not all about looks but overall qualities.

Mendes, 34, topped the online magazine's 9th annual list of "Top 99 Most Desirable Women" after AskMen.com readers cast more than 10 million votes to rank the women with the best qualities for the ideal girlfriend or wife.

She took the top slot from actress Katherine Heigl after placing fourth last year while actress Megan Fox ranked second and Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller came in third place.

James Bassil, editor-in-chief of AskMen.com, said the list was a "pulse-check" of the women that readers were not only following but also perceived as more than just a pretty face.

"Obviously good looks are one quality but intelligence, ambition and humor also count," Bassil told Reuters.

"There are women in their mid to late 30s on this list who may be old by industry standards but you see more mature women on this list. The younger women getting a lot of play on gossip sites haven't had the time to accumulate the achievements that a lot of these women have."

8 Ways to Affair-Proof Your Marriage

According to Peggy Vaughan, the author of "The Monogamy Myth," 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women will have an affair at some point in their marriage. In other words, the person who stays monogamous within her marriage is among a growing minority.
Twelve years into my marriage, I can appreciate that statistic. Eric and I are getting to the hard part, where the pressing responsibilities of raising kids and growing two careers could easily blow apart the vows we recited on our wedding day.
Because I want my marriage to stay on the happy side of the statistics, I've gathered these tips for how to make marriage absolutely affair-proof.
1. Nurture Safe Friendships: This is the most important affair-preventer in my life.
“No marriage can give you everything.”
No marriage can give you everything. A husband is going to have interests that his wife will never care about like fishing, hunting, or golfing. So he's less likely to stray if he can find some good guy buddies with whom to fish, hunt, and golf.
2. Recognize the Drug: Depressives and addicts are especially prone to affairs because of the head rush that comes with infatuation. The spikes in dopamine and norepinephrine we experience upon connecting with someone new fools us into thinking that the sexy man or attractive woman at the bar holds the key to our nirvana and the end to our problems. This is the same as, say, the high from cocaine. Recognizing that that rush is not real, meaningful, or lasting, can help a married person to "just say no."
3. Keep Dating: I'm serious here. Visiting with your spouse with some regularity--just the two of you and no one else--will bring some very definite rewards to a marriage. By dating, you will learn how to talk to each other again.
In her book, "Mating in Captivity," Esther Perel urges a client to imagine her spouse as if she has just met him, to put him into that mysterious category again. This is really hard when you got a little one screaming, "Wipe me!" from the bathroom. However, when you can pull it off, I find her theory very effective.
4. Find a Creative Outlet: People get lured into emotional and physical affairs because the infatuation provides an exciting, stimulating place where they are energized.
So to stay affair-proof, you have to find other sources of stimulation and excitement. For me, my blog is that outlet. I can't wait to log on each day to see what all of my dear readers have to say. When I get overwhelmed by the domestic chaos of our lives, Beyond Blue provides me that outlet where I can create something new, where I can run away, however temporarily, from the stress.
5. Hang Out with Happy Couples: If you're hanging with a bunch of guys (or girls) that see nothing wrong with sleeping around, you are much more likely to do it yourself. The good news is that the opposite is also true. If you have a set of friends committed to their marriages, you will be less likely to cheat on your spouse.
6. Learn How to Fight: Wait before saying something really ugly, and make sure you weren't tired or hungry, or in a stressful situation. I'm not saying that you can't confront your spouse if you're tired, hungry, or stressed, because then we'd live in a silent world. But, it's a good idea to recognize situations that tend to accelerate arguments.
7. Be Nice and Listen: "Duh," you're saying to yourself. But think about it. This is the hardest part about marriage. Listening. Keeping your mouth closed when the other person is talking.
In my conversations with men and women who have had affairs, the number one reason for pursuing the affair was this: "She listened to me. I mattered to him."
8. Remember These Tools: Never forget that you have a toolbox of resources to draw on when you feel tempted by an extramarital affair. Here are some tools offered to me by those healing from affairs, insights to keep in mind when you feel that familiar head rush and are tempted to abandon logic for a thrill:
# Don't go there: Don't put yourself in a threatening situation. Skip the conference in Hawaii with the colleague who flirts with you. If you absolutely have to go, avoid all opportunities to be alone with him.
# You've got mail: When you don't know if your email crosses the line into appropriate language, send it to yourself first. Read it again, and ask yourself: would I feel comfortable showing this to my husband?
# Dress with intentions: One woman told me that she saved her lingerie for her husband, and wore the ratty old underwear to the high-school reunion where she'd see a flame from the past.
# Talk about your spouse: A guy friend told me that whenever he is alone with a woman he finds attractive and things are getting uncomfortable, he'll start talking about his wife--what her hobbies are, and how much he loves her. It immediately kills the mood.

Ana reached her second Grand Slam final by beating ninth seed Daniela Hantuchova 0-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a pulsating match.
A phenomenal comeback, die-hard attitude and gutsy play in the end led to another milestone in Ana’s career. The 20-year-old celebrated her rise to No.2 in the rankings by becoming the only player other than world No.1 Justine Henin to reach two Grand Slam finals in the past 12 months.

Pendengar harus mampu mengontrol diri untuk tidak menguasai seluruh waktu pembicaraan. Sebagian besar waktu yang ada harus diberikan untuk lawan bicara. Selain itu, aspek fisik maupun psikis juga perlu diperhatikan. Karena aspek fisik berkaitan dengan situasi saat anda sedang menghadapi lawan bicara.

I get a lot of guys who write in to ask me how to behave around women. Many of those questions focus on the first meeting or the first date.
I thought I'd devote one entire newsletter to a concept that I feel is VITAL to understand if you're wondering how to behave around a woman you've just met.

A MISTAKE ALMOST EVERY GUY MAKES
I've noticed a KEY difference between the way men and women act when they meet a “potential mate”.
Women usually act in a way that can be characterized like this:
“You're interesting to me. I'd like to get to know you better, and we can see where this goes.”
Men usually act in a way that can be characterized like this:
“I am so interested in you that I'm nervous. In fact, I'm already thinking of you as a potential girlfriend or wife... or at least a one-night stand.”
In other words, women are usually casual and laid-back when they're first meeting a guy...
But GUYS tend to act like every girl is a POTENTIAL WIFE.
As you can imagine, this creates a lot of tension and pressure.
And I'm not talking about the GOOD kind, either.
I'm talking about the kind that makes men shiver and shake with nervousness, and women feel uncomfortable because the MAN is acting uncomfortable.
I KNOW that you can relate to this in some way.

THE ANSWER
The simple solution to this is...
DON'T DO IT.
If you start acting all freakish and nervous when you're talking to a woman, you're probably going to screw things up before they've even had a chance to get started.
Treating a woman that you've just met as if she very well could be the love of your life is something you should NEVER do.
Instead, take a very different approach.
My favorite is to ASSUME that every woman has SOMETHING that's going to annoy me, bother me, or SCREW UP HER CHANCES with me.
The MAIN reason that I do this...
SURPRISE...
IS THAT IT'S TRUE!
Duh.
The fact is that MOST women are NOT compatible “long term” with most men. In other words, there if you do get into a long-term relationship with a particular woman, the chances are that she's going to have things about her that you don't like.
One of my favorite Cocky & Funny themes to follow is “You're screwing up your chances with me”.
Let's say I'm walking down the street with a girl to have a cup of tea. Let's assume that she and I just met the night before, I got her number, and now we're walking from my place to tea.
On the way in the door to the coffee shop, she trips over the doorway.
I might look at her, shake my head in an “overly dramatic fake annoyed” way, and say “This relationship just isn't going to work”.
Then, let's say fifteen minutes later she spills her tea on the table and herself.
I'll shake my head again and say “What did I tell you about this kind of behavior?”.
In other words, I'm communicating the very OPPOSITE of “You're a potential wife”. I'm saying “I'm so comfortable around you that I can even make fun of you without caring what you think of me”.
Does this sound a little crazy?
Good. It should.
But trust me.
If you spend a couple of hours having regular, normal conversation... being Cocky & Funny, enjoying yourself, NOT trying to impress her, and generally demonstrating that you could care less how things turn out, you'll be FAR more likely to take things further than if you act as if she might be the love of your life and you wind up acting so nervous, stilted, and DUMB that she runs away.
So here it is again... one thing that most guys who are unsuccessful with women do that screws things up... one thing to AVOID:
DON'T TREAT A WOMAN YOU'VE JUST MET AS IF SHE'S A POTENTIAL FUTURE WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND.
Instead, lean back. Be cool. Make jokes about her screwing up her chances with you. Tell her that she's a nice friend. Assume that she has qualities that are going to annoy you, then point them out (in a Cocky & Funny way, of course).
Don't lose your composure. It can be fatal if you do.
Another note:
Most guys don't “get” women.
And, unfortunately, most guys look for tricks and “pick up lines” when it comes time to LEARN how to meet women.
They don't realize that all the tricks in the world aren't going to help them if they don't UNDERSTAND what's “going on”.

Finding love is one of the best things that can happen in our lives. Many of us search and search for love and have trouble finding that special someone-either we don't meet the right person--or we think we meet that person, only to find out that he or she isn't what we were looking for.
There are a few things you must do in order to help cupid get you moving in the right direction. First, you need to clarify the things that are important to you in a partner. By doing so, you will draw yourself toward the person and relationship you're looking for. Here are a few things to help you clarify what you're looking for and to help you get started finding love on LoveHappens.
To know what you're looking for, first decide what you're NOT looking for. What are your "deal-breakers?" What is absolutely essential for you to have in a long-term relationship? Do you want to get married and have children? Think about issues such as finances, religion and lifestyle. These are really your core values, and you need to be clear about what they are. Would they eventually cause you to break up with someone you're dating? It's important to be honest and think about what really matters to you.
Once you've clarified these basic core values-your deal breakers, you need to trust yourself and stay clear of potential partners who fall into those categories. Typically, these are also things you can start finding out in as little as a couple of dates. Hoping that your partner will change or telling yourself, "it really doesn't matter," will only set yourself up for heartache down the road. Follow what you've decided and ultimately it will lead your heart in the right direction. Knowing your deal breakers is crucial, and sticking to them is key.
Be open to trying new things and realistic about the outcomes. While it's essential to clarify what you definitely don't want in a relationship, it's also essential to keep your mind open about the various other qualities a person can offer, even if they typically haven't been qualities you've been attracted to in the past. Your deal breakers are just a few (hopefully no more than about 5-7) core values that you absolutely won't budge on. Outside of that, there are many other things that maybe in the past you have been really picky about. But when you're looking for your life partner and love, you need to be open to stepping outside of your comfort zone and dating people who may not be exactly what you think you're looking for. What you'll often find is that once you get to know people, these qualities are much less important than they were before, or that you don't even notice them because you get to know and love the person inside. As long as they aren't deal breakers, keep your mind open.
Make finding love and dating a priority. Just as a photographer never travels without his or her camera, a person looking for love should always be prepared to find love. Knowing what you are looking for and what you want in a relationship is a good starting point. Making sure you are ready to find love, give love and ready to make time to nurture a relationship, indicates that you are in a place in your life where you are ready to make dating a priority.

Pernyataan ini terungkap setelah para peneliti dari Universities of Pittsburgh dan California, Amerika, menganalisa 16 ribu wanita dan remaja putri yang berbadan montok, pinggul berisi, dan pinggang ramping ternyata mampu menyelesaikan tes psikologis dan cognitive lebih baik dibanding wanita yang berbadan kurus, begitu pun dengan anak-anak yang lahir dari wanita berpinggul padat.
Semakin besar perbedaan ukuran lekuk antara pinggang dan pinggul, hasilnya akan semakin baik, tulis para periset dalam jurnal Evolution and Human Behaviour, seperti dilansir dari BBC, Selasa (13/11/07).
Mereka menganggap kecerdasan yang didapat dari anak-anak yang terlahir dari wanita berpinggul penuh ini terkait dengan ditemukannya kandungan fatty acids (asam lemak) pada pinggul.
Di area ini, asam lemak mengandung omega-3, yang mampu memperbaiki kemampuan mental wanita pada saat hamil, dan juga perkembangan kecerdasan janin dalam kandungan.
Meski hasil analisa yang didapat mengejutkan, namun para ahli tak serta merta menganggap hasil studi mereka bisa diamini publik. Karena kecerdasan setiap anak juga ditentukan dengan kelas sosial, kondisi ekonomi, psikologis, dan tak menutup kemungkinan ibu juga memegang peran dominan.
Martin Tovee, salah satu peneliti dari Newcastle University, menyambut baik hasil penelitian. Terlebih bagi para pria bisa menggunakan hasil penelitian ini untuk memulai 'berburu' pasangan yang setidaknya mampu memberikan keturunan yang cerdas.
"Secara logisnya, pria akan tertarik dengan wanita berpinggul padat dan tubuh berisi. d.Tegapkan kembali tubuh Anda dan sesuaikan panjang strap pada bahu, atur kekencangannya agar tidak terlalu ketat tapi juga tidak longgar.

Avoid The Friend Zone

Women can get sex anywhere, any time and any way they want it. The problem for us guys is that women don’t want sex anywhere, any time and any way we want it. For women, sex comes bundled up with an onslaught of dizzying and complicated emotions, most of which they don’t seem to deal with very well. The result? It’s infinitely easier for women to place men into the category of “friends” rather than admit them as lovers.

In fact, for a woman, a male friend is the best of both worlds: She can reap all the benefits of having a man around (strength, decision-making, solid advice, logic, common sense, and so on) without the hormone-based entanglements that sex brings to the table.

But men are different. Since we aren’t saddled with psychologically crippling emotions, we aren’t burdened with the senselessness of separating friendship from sex. In fact, for us, it’s just the opposite: When a man likes a woman, he naturally wants to express his feelings by drilling her deep into the mattress. This is natural.

Unfortunately, the female brain can’t process this logic. Instead, it quickly “either-ors” any guy it encounters: Either he’s going to be a lover or he’s going to be a friend. And once a woman has relegated you to the “Friend Zone,” it’s all but impossible for her to see you in any other way. Of course, she’ll still expect you to act like the lovers she’s currently sex-ploiting -- by forcing you to pay for her meals and cart her around like a chauffeur -- but without the fringe benefit of doing the horizontal hula.

Many guys fantasize that by acting as a hot girl’s friend or romantic counselor, they can “backdoor it” into her heart or her bed. This may work well in romantic comedies (or possibly with psychotic women), but in real life, you’re just kidding yourself. You’re a “friend,” and she doesn‘t need you for sex.

7 DON'T AFTER MEAL

People may hear this often and are already aware of these 'donts', but this might be the complete list and as reminder for a healthier lifestyle

1.Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).----------> well this might be the hardest thing on the list for smokers

2. Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal

3. Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.

4. Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.

5. Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

6. Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

7. Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.
