As I take a moment to reflect on this Memorial Day, I take notice of the changing seasons and how there is a lesson there for every organization, church, ministry, and business. Whether your organization is struggling to succeed or in the midst of sustained upward growth, there are still seasons, changes, and challenges to work through.

I’ve been watching the grass grow around the house and thinking to myself that I need to get to it soon. Every day it grows imperceptibly longer, but the net effect of a week’s procrastination is that it will now take me much longer to mow than normal. That’s because I will have to empty the grass bag much more often. Trying to keep up with your blog calendar can very similar.

Part of our calling as church leaders, ministry leaders, or businesses leaders is to build our lives on a solid foundation. Everything that is seen outwardly is the result of something that began inwardly. In order to be good examples and leaders, we need to cultivate that inward work.
