Hi Stampers! Today I'm sharing some VREY exciting news with you. Connie and Mary have invited me to be a Guest Designer again for their Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog 2012 Edition. I loved doing the Occasions Edition so I was thrilled to join in again this time!  Today's card features a new Stamp set one of the New In Colors to get you excited about the fun new products that will be featured in the projects this edition. Since we'll be using sets out of the New Catalog you'll get ideas that you can use all year long!

IMG_5984The stamp set is Betsy's Blossoms and I used a color combo of Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum, and Raspberry Ripple (What's a Raspberry Ripple?).

The new Raspberry Ripple is so rich and fun and have I told you how much I LOVE those new Firm Foam ink pads?? Look how smooth that stamped big blossom looks and I acheived that pretty stamping so easily the first time I stamped (That's SO not the way things usually go wtih solid image stamps for me... It's usually try, try, and try again to get good coverage!) :)

I'm here with this week's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we had a color challenge...

The Colors for this Challenge are Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, and 2012 Create Challenges-020 Early Espresso. These colors are so bright and happy, perfect for a little Just For Fun note, so that's what I created. I used the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set and a simple card layout. The three Pinwheels spin which adds to the FUN! 

I used just a touch of Early Espresso at the side to pull your eye over to the edge and the Greeting at the bottom of the card and I finished the card off with a little ribbon wrapped around the edge!.

I'm here with this week's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we were given a sketch to inspire our creations...

I've been fighting a spring cold the past week or so and the creativity has not been 2012 Create Challenges-019flowing so It was nice to jump into this week's sketch challenge and get the juices flowerin again! Button Buddies is one of my favorite sets so I decided to play with it and fall back on my favorite color combo (As you can obviously tell from my blog design - lol) of Cherry Cobbler, Wisteria Wonder, and Pink Pirouette. I added a touch of Basic Black this time and I like the pop it adds to the combo!

I LOVE the way the card came out - although the photograph isn't really doing the card much justice (sorry about that - I kept getting a wonky effect with my stripes on the greeting and the sparkle just doesn't want to shine in the photo) I added some sparkle to the card with the Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. I put some dots in the scallops and then sparkled up the faint background flowers and randomly sparkled the Cherry Cobbler flower petals. So it looks a little grainy in the photo but imagine a subtle shimmer on the flowers in real life! :)
