Saturday April 17th from 12PM-9PM there will be a Family Day at Fair Park.

D’Arte Centre volunteers will be there painting faces to raise awareness for our cause. Visit www.myharlingen.us for more Centennial event information.

The show is up!

I am so happy and greatful to all of the wonderful artists who submitted pieces to the show. It is a nice mix. We got a total of 22 pieces, which is more than expected but that is never a bad thing. The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10AM-5PM. The Reception for the show will be Wednesday,April 21st at 6PM. Everyone is invited to come over and enjoy the art.

I would also like to add that face-painting at the April 3rd Market Days went very well. Thank You Jan for volunteering to help me, you were really a blessing. The gallery also made serveral sales. It was a great day despite the two quick April showers. I love any day that I can make bunches of kids smile.

Artists don’t forget that the time to drop off your art for the show is this Saturday! It will be Jackson Street Market Days so why not come out to Downtown Harlingen for a fun day and drop off your art on the way! Bring some kids to get thier faces painted and have some fun raising money for the Family Crisis Center.
